In New York City, a very large and muscular man Called Huntsmaster held a small Glass skull in the air, triumphantly.
"At last, the Aztec Skull is mine!"
Huntsman looked over his students. 88 and 89 were, as usual, arguing about something stupid. Huntsgirl, however, was looking unusually nervous.
"Huntsgirl, are you afraid of something?"
"Uh, no Huntsmaster, It's just—what is that?" She saw something glimmer in the sky for just a moment before that thing came plummeting down, landing directly on top of the Huntsmaster.
"Whew! That was a rush!" June said as she touched down in a dark urban scene. Looking around it seemed that she was in the right place, however she was the slightest bit baffled by the three people in red uniforms gawking at her. "Hey, take a picture, it'll last longer."
Number 89 pointed a shaky finger at June, "Y-you, you just took out the Huntsmaster."
"I did what now?" June then noticed that, though there was concrete as far as the eye could see, the ground she was standing on was shockingly soft and lumpy. She looked down to see she was standing on the back of the aforementioned Huntsmaster. "Whoa! Hey! Sorry about that buddy," She jumped off the man and helped him up, "I didn't see you there, totally my fault, I just-" The wheels in her head started to turn when she saw the 'H' emblem all over his clothes and the dragon skull helmet that hid his face.
"Hey!" She shouted as the man began to regain consciousness, "You guys are Huntsclan, aren't you?" realizing the position she was in June punched the Huntsmaster, thus knocking him out again, and dropped him to the ground.
88 and 89 struck some dramatic poses, "Oh, you done it now, girl!" 88 warned, "You mess with one of the Huntsclan, you mess with all of the Huntsclan!"
The two moved closer made menacing poses and moved closer to Huntsgirl (who had taken a considerably menacing pose herself); all the while making shrieking attempts at martial arts shouts. "HWWAAAAAA! YOOOOOOO! HYAAAAAA! Huntsgirl go get her." The two darted behind Huntsgirl who could only let out an exasperated sigh.
June reached into the 'nearly-bottomless' satchel she had strapped to her hip, "Sorry guys, but I have more important things to do right now." With a flick of her wrist the air was full of sparkles. The glittering substance draped itself over 88 and 89 and the two immediately fell asleep.
"Well, now that that's taken care of—"A spear head was suddenly pressing against June's throat.
"It'll take more than troll dust to stop me." Huntsgirl hissed.
"Trust me, sister, you don't want to get into it just now."
"Ha! You should take your own advice; I smell weakness and fear on you."
"You smell…what? I've been jumping across the country in full armor after mixing it up with trolls, that's what you smell. B.O. and troll grease"
Huntsgirl was getting ready to make a statement about placing this girl's head on her wall when a bolt of red scales rushed between the two.
"Yo! June!" Jake shouted as he returned to his human form.
"Jake! Lookin' good! The eye patch really wasn't working for you."
"What are you doin' here?"
"Some freaky ghost guy told me to come here."
"WHAT IS GONING ON HERE?" Huntsgirl shouted.
Jake spun around to look at her, and then flung his arms around her. "Rose…I missed you."
"Oh! So this is Rose." June said.
Huntsgirl pushed Jake off of her, "Can someone please tell me what's going on?"
"There'll be time for that later." A forth voice chimed in as Atomic Betty strode into view. "Do you have any idea how much time I spent trying to scan for a dragon in a city of eight million people?"
"Betty!" Jake shouted.
"I'd love to talk but we have to go." Betty said curtly.
"GO WHERE?" Rose growled. The combination of not knowing what was going on and all these girls who seemed to know Jake was starting to make her lose her cool.
Betty disregarded the question and instead spoke into her bracelet. "Sparky, four to beam up."
"Jake, what is going on-" Rose stopped when the air around them shimmered and she felt a sudden upwards rush. The next thing she knew she was found herself standing on a glowing platform in a place that looked like a sci-fi movie set. "Where are we?"
"We are approximately 400 kilometers above the surface of the planet Earth." Rattled off a small yellow robot in the room.
"We- we're in space? Is that a robot? Why are we in space? Jake?" Rose looked around frantically for answers.
Jake opened his mouth to answer but Betty spoke instead. "If you'll follow me I'll show you what this is all about." Rose looked to Jake who let her know it was all right and they, with June, followed her down a short hallway. Her jaw dropped at the sight that greeted her.
