Disclaimer: I don't own these characters or this world. I just like to be a part of it sometimes
Author's Notes: This is all A/U, but I'd say we can assume that anything we've seen so far in the show applies. And, this pretty much takes place in my universe, where the Troubles are gone, and Audrey and Nathan can finally be a drama-free couple.
Sorry for the delay, kids. Business travel is making me fall behind on these, so I'm struggling to keep up. Don't worry though, they're all being worked on!

Summary: Audrey plans out her and Nathan's day off, and convincing him to watch one of her favorite movies is part of those plans.
A Day Off
"No."
"Why not?"
"Because, while I trust you Parker, I don't trust you."
"Nathan, have I ever steered you wrong in my planning for our days off?"
Nathan opened his mouth to speak, but Audrey cut him off before he even managed to get a sound out.
"Except for that one time, but we both agreed to never bring that up again."
With thoughts of that one time floating through his head, Nathan couldn't help but feel a little nervous for what Audrey had planned, but he would follow her lead. He always did. Which, to some extent, is why that one time happened. He sighed. "Ok, fine."
Begrudgingly, he climbed out of their warm bed, fleetingly missing his Trouble that enabled him to not feel the cold wood floor beneath his feet. As he rounded the end of the bed, he paused, and looked back at Audrey, who was still snuggled under the covers.
She looked at Nathan as he paused, and rose a little further from her warm cocoon. "What?"
"You know what would really start this day off right?"
"Um, besides what we just did?"
Nathan grinned as he watched a flush creep across Audrey's face. "Think of it more like a continuation." He reached out his hand to her. "Come, shower with me."
Audrey shook her head as she grinned. "Nathan, it's cold!"
Nathan narrowed his eyes at her, and went into the bathroom to turn on the shower. As steam started to fill the small room, he ran out to an unsuspecting Audrey, picked her up out of bed, and carried her to the bathroom with a wide grin splitting his face as she squealed and giggled in his arms. Oh yeah. This was a good way to start the day.
Even though she tried to stifle it out of embarrassment, Nathan could hear Audrey's stomach growl as they waited for their breakfast to arrive. He couldn't blame her – it was almost noon already, and the morning had already been plenty active. Still, she blushed though, and he hoped that part of that blush was because she was thinking about why she was so hungry. They grinned stupidly at each other, and all Nathan could think of, was how amazing it was that they could do this now. With the Troubles gone, they could just be a couple in love. They both seemed to be different people now that their stresses were gone, and both seemed to be a little more relaxed and carefree, shutting the world out of their own personal bubble, more often than not.
At that moment, their pancakes arrived, and the two happily set in to devouring the meals in front of them.
In between bites, Nathan looked up at Audrey. "So, what's the plan for our day off? Because I have to say, this one is definitely starting out pretty good."
"Well, it's too late for what I planned for this morning, so we'll just have to shift to this afternoon's plans."
"Would you rather this morning not have gone as it did?" Nathan watched as another blush crept across Audrey's face, and it thrilled him, just as it did every time she blushed at his words. She never did that before, but she seemed to always be the one in charge. But now that the Troubles were gone, their relationship had shifted a bit, and he was able to tease her more than he could before.
Audrey dipped her eyes to her breakfast, and muttered more to herself than Nathan. "No." She looked up at Nathan with conviction in her eyes. "But the rest of the day needs to go with what I have planned."
Nathan put up his hands in mock surrender. "You got it, Parker."
The rest of the day went by surprisingly smoothly, and Nathan had to admit that Audrey had indeed been able to plan a decent day off. But then, any day he was able to start the day off naked with her, and then have her hand folded in his all day, was a good day. But as they stood in front of the movie theater, and he read the marquee, he had to say something. He looked at Audrey and shook his head. "Nuh uh, no way, Parker."
"Come on! It's my favorite movie, and it's only playing tonight!"
"Parker, no. If anyone from work catches me in there, I'll be the laughing stock of the station until someone else gets caught doing something."
Audrey rolled her eyes, and grabbed Nathan's hand, dragging him to the ticket booth. "Oh, please. You can just blame it on me, and say I forced you to go."
"That kind of will make it worse. I have an image to uphold, Parker."
"Please?"
Nathan looked down into Audrey's eyes and sighed. How could he say no to those pleading eyes? "Fine, but if someone sees me, I'm going to get you back somehow."
"I'm ok with that."
Nathan shook his head. He couldn't believe he was doing this. But, for Audrey, he'd do anything.
