Chapter 13

Night fell and I still hadn't heard from Regina. Slipping on my coat, Terrence and I walked out of the house towards town square. The night air was cold and ice formed at my fingertips, I was angry at Zelena for doing this and being here when I had tried so hard to get away. Getting towards town I saw Zelena standing in the center of the crowd yelling at everyone threatening them all.

"If my sister isn't here in five minutes I'll let the Dark One off his leash." She screeched holding up the dagger.

"She's coming, but till then why don't you come at me and leave these others alone," I announced defiantly.

"Well look who's got her courage. And her heartless pet at her side. Go run along like you always do." Zelena said with a laugh.

"YOU KILLED ALY AND ANNA." I cried forming a ball of ice crystals in my hand as I walked towards Zelena. "I'm not letting you kill my mother too."

"Oh you foolish girl they mean nothing, they were merely pawns in a game too big for them to handle." Zelena said I stepped forward but Terrence grabbed my arm stopping me.

"Anna was just a baby and you let her die."

Zelena shrugged. "That was merely the law I was following."

"What about Aly." I said slipping out of Terrence's grasp.

"As I recall, you're the reason Aly's dead. You were the one who froze the room just as Aly tried to save you." Zelena said stepping towards me. "I'll do to you what I did to them, your mommy might be the Evil Queen but she can't protect you."

"You have no idea just what I'm capable of." I said through gritted teeth.

"I think I do, you have no control of your power. Last I remember you almost froze the Emerald City."

"That's enough" Regina said walking towards us.

"I was beginning to think you weren't going to show up." Zelena said I turned to Regina and she looked at me for a moment nodding. I stepped back and grabbed Terrence's hand.

"I couldn't let my sister off that easy."

"So you've finally accepted me into the family."

"I've accepted that we have the same mother but you'll never be family."

"You mean like your adopted son and the daughter you gave up?" Zelena replied. I looked at Regina.

"I don't care what you do to me but I swear if you lay one hand on my daughter any more than you already have or touch Henry I'll destroy you." She hissed standing tall.

"I'd like to see that." Zelena laughed, I glanced at Terrence when there was a loud smack as Regina's hand went across Zelena's cheek.

"I've been waiting to do that, all day." Regina said with a smirk, a grin spreading across Zelena's smug face.

"Rumplestilskin can't save you this time." Zelna said stepping closer to Regina. "He should have chosen ME" Zelena screeched.

"That's what this is about? Your jelous because The Dark one chose me to create the curse?"

"You had everything I ever wanted while I sat back and had nothing. I'm going to take it all away." Zelena said throwing her arms up.

Regina's feet left the ground as Zelena threw her back onto a car. I stepped forward but Terrence grabbed my arm. Regina slid off the hood and strode towards Zelena making a fireball in her hand which Zelena promptly put out. Zelena stepped forward closing the gap between them, holding her hand up to Regina's neck holding her up in the air.

"You'll never beat me sis, everything Rumplestilskin taught you he taught me too. But I was the better student." Zelena hissed she spun around and threw Regina towards the clock tower making her crash through the glass plates.
Snow, Charming, Emma, and Neal all ran into the clocktower, Terrence and I close behind. The elevator seemed to take forever and my heart pounded the whole way up. The was a jurk as it stopped and the doors slid open.

"You alright?" Charming asked running out first, he ran up the stairs to help her up off the floor.

"I'm fine, she was after my heart but lucky for me I didn't bring it."

"What is she trying to do?" I asked.

"Well she got David's courage and wants my heart. Those are ingredients."

"For what, a curse?" Emma asked.

"Yes, but I'm not sure what." Regina said.

"What more could she even do? We're already in Storybrooke without our memories." Snow said I looked at Terrence.

"Do you two know something?" Regina asked me I shook my head.

"She's just dangerous is all, she isn't one to just give up on a wim." Terrence said not taking his eyes off me.

"Wow she is your sister." Charming said with a laugh but Regina didn't find it funny.

"Be careful of her monkey's they're watching." I said looking out the now broken clock.

I turned walking out feeling my emotions overwhelm me, not bothering to inform the others where I would disappear to. I didn't need others getting caught in the crosshairs. I then decided to go for yet another walk, wanting to clear my head. I found an old swing and sat down pumping my legs back and forth slowly. The air was cool and I closed my eyes, images of Aly and my life in the Emerald City flashed through my mind. I knew Terrence was probably looking for me and while he was one of the only people who even remotely understood me I wasn't ready to go back just yet. A gust of wind came and my hair blew all around me I sighed pulling it into a messy braid. I didn't know how much time had passed, but before long, Regina walked out of the woods. Looking up at, her I smiled politely. She walked towards me and sat down on the swing next to me.

"I use to bring Henry here when he was little. If I brought him back now he wouldn't even know who I was." She said with a sigh.

"I know the feeling.." She looked at me.

"You have to understand I didn't know you were alive."

"I know, it's still hard. I spent my life not knowing who you were or why you gave me away." I said looking at her. "Now I have you in my life and yet know nothing."

"What do you want to know?" She asked. I sighed.

"You and my father, were you two…?" I said trailing off.

"Together?" Regina asked I nodded. "We were. He knew about you and he had proposed. I couldn't tell my mother so we planned on running away together. She managed to find out and she, well, she killed Daniel." She said swallowing hard.

"I'm sorry, I had no idea." Regina nodded.

"It's fine I let him go a few years ago."

"Losing people isn't something anyone wants. It happens to me what seems like all the time." I said swinging back and forth.

"I heard you say something about Aly and Anna. Who were they?" Regina asked.

"Aly was my mom" I said looking at Regina, I hated doing this to her but for me Aly would always be my mother, she had to understand that.

"And Anna?"

"She was Aly and Oswins daughter." I said holding back tears.

"I'm sorry," she said making me look at her.

"Don't be, I wouldn't be who I am if I hadn't lost them. Even if it still hurts I wouldn't go back." I said looking up at the sky as it started to rain. It quickly turned to snow, and I smiled to myself.

"How'd that happen?" Regina asked I looked at her smirking.

"I have magic, in case you didn't figure that out." Regina looked at me horrified. "Relax it's light magic, Oswin helped me to control it. I still struggle sometimes though."

"Why?"

"It's ice magic and sometimes when I get angry or upset I freeze things. I make it snow sometimes when I'm with… Nevermind" I said stopping myself.

"What?"

"When I'm with Terrence, he's my solid ground when I'm struggling, he's the only one who can help me." I said with a soft smile.

"How long have you two been together?" Regina asked.

"We've been friends since we were kids, but we've been together I guess three years if we aren't counting the 30 years we didn't see each other."

"How did you get thrown in with the curse? It only affected the Enchanted Forest."

"Oswin sent me to the Enchanted Forest to help me escape from Zalena. When I woke up there I was being held in a dungeon and my hands were shackled in metal cuffs that stopped my magic. Terrence was sent as well but he landed in the part of the land where the curse hit. I would say I was lucky but I don't think I was. I would rather remember nothing and be in a World without magic than remember everything and not know what happened to the people I care about. I still don't know what happened to Oswin." I said with a sigh.

"I want to stop Zelena as much as you do. Henry doesn't even remember me right now and it's killing me. I could use your help to defeat her." Regina said I looked at her.

"I would like nothing more." I said with a soft smile.

"Good," She replied standing up. "I don't know what you're doing but I would love to get to know you more if you would like to come over." Regina said, looking nervous.

"I would love to, but I really need to get home Terrence is probably wondering where I am." I said standing up she nodded.

"I understand." She said, looking at me as if I was still a mystery.

"What?" I asked.

"Nothing, just can't believe this is really happening. I spent years thinking you were dead and yet here you are, beautiful and very much alive." She said tucking a piece of my hair behind my ear I smiled.

"I never imagined I would even get to meet you, after everything I've been through this is a nice change." Regina looked at me surprised, I laughed "This is nothing compared to Oz, at least here my boyfriend isn't a soldier." I said as I saw Terrence walking towards us. "Speaking of the tin man."

Regina turned looking at him, he smiled at her politely.

"Hi" Terrence said getting closer.

"Terrence right?"

"Yeah, we haven't really gotten the chance to meet"

"No we haven't, seeing as you're with my daughter I feel like it's appropriate" She said I only laughed.

"What are you doing here?" I asked looking at Terrence.

"I know you, I wanted to give you some time, but I also wanted to make sure you were okay."

"I should go, it's getting late and I have a wicked witch to defeat." Regina said I looked at her nodding.

"I can come over tomorrow, seems like you could use the help and, well, I know about her magic."

"Are you sure?" Terrence asked I looked at him smiling softly.

"Yeah, I spent too long running, I'm not going to anymore. Aly wouldn't want that." I said almost reassuring myself this was for the best.

"I'll see you tomorrow, feel free to bring Tin Man" Regina said I laughed looking at Terrence who wasn't smiling. I kissed him softly putting my arms around his neck.

"It was a joke" I said he moved his hands to my waist.

"Only you're allowed to call me Tin Man." He said making me smile.

"And you're the best Tin Man in all of Oz." I said softly, I hadn't noticed Regina had left and a part of me felt guilty for not saying goodnight. But a part of me reminded myself that I would see her tomorrow and maybe understand just what it meant to be the Evil Queen's daughter.
