The Freedom flew to the rendezvous point and dove into the water. It came up at the rendezvous point and Yugito jumped into the cockpit. Then the Freedom went back underwater and started on its way back to the Archangel.
"How did it go" asked Kira
"Good" said Yugito
"I took those three out and blew up the ship along with those two other Gundams" she said
"I got the Gaia right here" she said holding up a scroll
"Very good" said Kira
"Did you find anything interesting at the lab" asked Yugito
"We found a lot of information that is useless now that Stella is healed, and the others are dead" said Ino
The Freedom arrived back at the Archangel and everyone got out. Yugito unsealed the Gaia before they all left to go meet up with everyone else and went to the medical bay.
"How is she doing" asked Tenten
"She is doing well" said one of the doctors
"There should be nothing physically wrong with her when she wakes up" he said
"Thank you" said Tenten
"Please leave" said Ino
"We don't want her reacting negatively to you" she said
All the doctors nodded their heads and left.
"I will go wait outside" said Kira
Once he left Cagalli asked "You think she would react negatively to a guy being here"
"She might" said Ino
"Hopefully if we tell her Kira helped save her, she might latch onto him" she said
"Let's just hope she doesn't become too dependent on him" said Yugito
"I take it you have seen this happen before" asked Lacus
"Too many times" said Yugito sadly
Tenten removed the sedative from Stella's body and she soon started to wake up. She groaned as she slowly opened her eyes. She looked around before her eyes widen as new memories quickly went through her mind.
"I remember" said Stella
"I remember everything" she said
She then let out a scream as she started crying and hugging her legs to herself.
"Calm down Stella" said Ino
"You're safe" she said
"They can't hurt you anymore" she said
"I'm safe" asked Stella letting go of her legs
"Yes, you're safe" said Ino
"We killed the ones that did this to you, so they can't hurt you anymore" she said
Stella started crying again before she calmed down a little while later.
"Why do I remember everything now" asked Stella
"Because I released them" said Ino
"Why did you make me remember that" cried Stella
"Because I didn't want to mess with your mind anymore after healing it" explained Ino
"Your mind has been messed with so many times that I didn't want to do it without your permission" she added
"My permission" asked Stella
"Yes" said Ino nodding her head
"Your body and your mind are yours for the first time in a long time" she said
"What happens now is up to you" she said
"Up to me" said Stella
She sat back on the bed and thought about that while Yugito left and came back with Kira.
Stella eventually asked "Where am I"
"You are on the Archangel which is currently on the bottom of the ocean" said Cagalli
Stella turns towards the voice and her eyes widen when she saw Cagalli Yula Athha and Lacus Clyne standing there.
"Why did you do it" asked Stella
"Because we wanted to save you and help you" said Kira
"That is why we went out and killed the ones that hurt you and made sure no one could ever do that to you again" he said
Stella turned towards Kira and looked at him before she lunged at him and started hugging him. All the kunoichi calmed down from being tense after seeing that.
"Thank you" cried Stella
"You're welcome" said Kira hugging her back
Once Stella calmed down, Kira let go of her and she sat back on the bed.
"Now we need to talk about what you want to do" said Kira
"What I want to do" asked Stella
"Yes" said Kira nodding his head
"You can become a civilian and we can give you some money to get started" said Cagalli
"But we won't be able to let you off for a long while" she said
"Or you could join us and help us stop the ones that made the world plunge into war again" said Lacus
"You don't have to give us your decision right now" said Kira
"Give it some time and think about what you really want to do" he said
"When you are ready, you can tell us your decision" he said
"Ok" said Stella nodding her head
After she was released from the medical bay, Stella spent some time walking around the ship thinking about what she wanted to do.
"What do I want to do" thought Stella
"I want to stay here" she thought
"If I have to fight to do that, then I will" she thought
She then left to go find the others. She found them in the mess hall.
"I have decided on what I want to do" said Stella
"What is it" asked Kira
"I want to stay and help" said Stella
"Ok then" said Kira
"Let's go assess your skill level" said Tenten
"Let's start with guns" said Ino
So, they went to the firing range and set Stella up to fire at moving targets. She hit them all but a few.
"I'm sorry that I messed up" said Stella looking down
"I promise that I will do better next time" she said looking back up
"What do you mean Stella" asked Kira
"You did great" he said
"Everyone misses sometimes" he added
"So, you are not going to get rid of me" asked Stella tears in her eyes
Kira's eyes widen before he went over and hugged Stella.
"You do not have to fight to stay with us" said Kira
"But I want to help" said Stella
"And you are more than welcome to" said Kira
"But you don't have to, to stay with us" he said
"Ok" he asked
Stella just nodded her head into his shoulder before she started crying.
"Did you know this would happen" asked Cagalli
"Yes" said Ino
"It's my fault" said Lacus looking down
"I should have worded what I said differently" she said
"It's not your fault Lacus" said Ino
"This would have happened no matter what you said" she said
"It's best that it came out now instead of on the battlefield where she could have frozen up" said Yugito
Once Stella calmed down, Kira let go of her and asked "Do you still want to help us"
"Yes" said Stella nodding her head
"Then let's continue" said Kira
They all left the firing range and went to the hanger.
Along the way, Tenten asked "Do you have any experience with bladed weapons"
"I have used long and short knives before" said Stella
Tenten nodded her head at that.
When they arrived at the hanger, Stella's eyes widen when she saw Gaia.
"What is Gaia doing here" asked Stella
"I used it to escape the ship after I killed those that hurt you" said Yugito
"Could I still pilot it" asked Stella
"Is that what you really want to do" asked Kira
Stella thought about it for a few moments before nodding her head saying "Yes"
"Then you can" said Kira
Stella smiled happily at that.
Tenten unsealed all the knives she had and laid them out. Stella's eyes widen when she saw all the knives on the floor.
"Where did they all come from" asked Stella
Tenten gave a quick explanation of fuinjutsu. Stella nodded her head at that before she looked at all the knives. She picked up a long-curved knife and tested it out before nodding her head. Tenten picked up a similar one before sealing the rest away.
"Now remember this is just a spar to test your skills" said Tenten
"We are not trying to injure each other" she said
"Ok" said Stella nodding her head
"Good" said Tenten
"Now, come at me" she said
Stella charged at Tenten and they started fighting. While they were fighting Kira said "She is doing well against Tenten"
"It doesn't look like that Tenten is holding back as much as I thought she would" said Yugito
"Their training must have focusing around guns and knives" said Ino
After a while Tenten stopped the spar. Stella had a lot of rips and tears in her clothes and was slightly out of breath while Tenten had a few rips and tears and was fine.
"You did well" said Tenten
She then sheathed her knife and tossed one to Stella for her to do the same.
"Now let's see how you do in hand to hand combat" said Tenten
Tenten got into the Goken stance while Stella got into hers before she changed at Tenten.
"Tenten knows martial arts as well" asked Cagalli
"Yes" said Kira nodding his head
"Our teacher was one of the best martial arts masters in the village" he said
"All of us have some Taijutsu experience" said Ino
"She looks to be around Genin level" said Yugito
"What do you mean by that" asked Cagalli
Kira explained to her the shinobi ranks to her.
"What rank are you" asked Cagalli
"We are all Chunin" said Kira
The spar soon ended with Stella on the floor breathing heavily and Tenten standing over her. Tenten held out her hand and Stella took it before Tenten helped her get up.
"You did a good job" said Tenten
"I believe you will fit right in with us" she said
Stella smiled happily at that.
