Hermione woke with a start, realizing she had been sleeping for too long. She looked around hurriedly, finding Draco seated on a chair obviously conjured by him and reading the book on memory charms that she had abandoned. Blushing, she got up and walked to the window looking out at the night sky. She was waiting for his taunt, which she knew was on its way.

Sure enough, ''What happened to the 'Sleep in the same room as YOU?'' He mimicked, in a voice which could barely resemble hers. She turned around to see him smirking in his signature way.

Exhaling slowly so that she would sound patient, she said, ''Oh! Shut it Malfoy! I don't think we should waste anymore time. It's 6 pm already. What do we do?''

Knowing she wouldn't enjoy any more of his teasing, he replied, "I've been thinking about it. We could just wait for them to fall asleep... Then levitate one of them to this room. As soon as we wake them up... we could work on their memory. What do you think?"

Hermione thought about it. It seemed like the obvious thing to do. But she also knew that her parents were light sleepers. If they did succeed in bringing one out of the room, it was only a matter of a few minutes for the other to realize and they would definitely wake up looking for them. Stunning them in their sleep was not an option that she would ever consider. Therefore, they were left with no option but to wait for the morning when one of them wouldn't be at home.

She shared what she thought with him, though she doubted that he would be patient enough to wait till the morning. That would mean one more day of his time, and she knew he would never agree to it. So she was surprised when he said,

"You've got a point Granger, we will have to wait for tomorrow." Seeing her look he added, "Seems like we have no other option."

After around 30 minutes, Draco shut his book and with a flick of his wand made the book in Hermione's lap close itself.

"Draco! Why would you do that? I was reading an important chapter." Hermione reacted. She was lying. She had been pretending to be immersed in the book while actually his presence in the room was making it impossible for her to read. She had read the same lines over and over again yet had no idea what they were. She thought sarcastically that this was the first time that a guy had so much affect on her to distract her from reading.

"I am bored Granger." Draco said getting up from the chair and looking through the window. This room was at the other end of the house so he could see a different street from here. There was a park a few blocks away to the left. He watched as some of the kids played with a ball while others were on the swings.

She came and stood beside him to see what he was looking at. "Your muggles are boring people Granger. Look at their lives… how dull!"

Hermione retorted, "Oh come on! What have you even seen about them? They are intelligent people who live without magic and yet manage to create much more than we do. You should just go spend some time with them and you shall realize it for yourselves."

"Why would I need to go anywhere? You are a half muggle yourself, maybe you could show me." Draco winked.

Hermione wondered where he was going with all this when he continued. "What do muggles do when they aren't working or sleeping? I mean what do they do to have fun?"

Hermione answered thinking of all the things normally that people did."Umm... Well they watch television. My parents have one downstairs but we can't really use it right now. They go out to pubs, discos, adventure parks..." He cut her off.

"What are discos?" he asked curiously.

"They are basically nightclubs where friends hang out, drink and dance. It's a lot of fun actually but I've never been to one."

"Why not?" asked Draco.

"Well, I am still not eighteen so I am underage. Besides, I was busy in a war." She laughed.

"But you are free now! And we have a lot of time to kill." Draco winked.

Hermione was surprised at his behavior. He had winked at her, and conversation was somehow becoming easy with him. He looked different too. Relaxed, friendly with not a trace of the boy she had known at Hogwarts.

She knew it would be fun and she was excited at the prospect, but she didn't want him to know that. So she said, "Umm… I don't know… Going out with you? You are Draco Malfoy. I don't know if I should really trust you…" His expression changed so fast that she had to control her laughter.

"What?! I thought we were friends Granger. And besides, aren't Gryffindors supposed to be brave or something? Or is it just a fable?" Draco shot back.

Hermione answered winking back at him, "Alright alright. Let's go then. Maybe you'll like the muggle world."

"And if we are going, we better dress up soon." She added moving towards him and putting him under a disillusionment charm. Draco felt the familiar sensation of eggs being cracked on his head. "Why would you do that Granger?" he asked surprised.

Then she opened the door slowly and peeked outside. "Because I need to change Draco and I can't do that with you in the room." Hermione replied, gently pushing him out. "Wait for me outside the door. I'll open it in 10 minutes and then you can change" she whispered and shut the door before he could reply.

After about fifteen minutes, she opened the door slowly, and whispered to the empty hallway "Draco?"

When there was no reply she wondered why and stepped out and looked up and down the corridor but it was too risky so she got back in and shut the door quickly.

Conjuring a mirror, she checked her outfit. Deciding that the lip color was a bit too bold she changed it to a more neutral pink with her wand

''Working hard to attract me Granger?'' The voice froze her. His breath was right near her right ear.

"Draco…Where were you.. I looked around but…" Hermione's heart was racing. She could feel his warmth close to her.

"Maybe I was here all the while. I could have easily apparated back in you know…" he whispered back.

"NO! You didn't. I know you didn't Draco...I would have known if you were here…" Hermione nearly screamed red in the face.

Draco could see the blush and her sputtering but he didn't want to get her worked up for no reason. She was looking beautiful. He recalled how beautiful he had found her in their fourth year, at the Yule Ball. She looked a lot like that or even better. She had applied a bit of makeup on. And she was wearing a short black dress. He would have to be extra careful with this witch; there was a force like gravity that was pulling him to her and he didn't know what to do about it. Her shocked expression mixed with the blush reminded him of the time she had been in his room and kissed him. He needed some space between them right now, so he said, "Relax Granger. I snuck in when you opened the door. Now if you are all dressed, I would like to change too."

Hermione stopped midsentence and asked suspiciously, "You are being honest right?"

"Yes I am Granger. As much as I would have enjoyed watching you blush for the next half hour, I don't want to waste anymore time." Draco replied.

Hermione believed him. She opened her bead bag and pointed her wand inside. "Accio Draco's bag" catching hold of its straps as it flew towards her hand and pulled it out of her little bag.

Draco was watching interestedly. "That is a pretty impressive spell Granger. I wonder when did you learn extension charms."

"I practiced it for quite a while and finally got it right. This bag was our only luggage during the war." She laughed and continued, "I haven't really emptied it yet. It still contains all my books, the tent, medicines and some ready to cook food."

"And now my clothes." He said as handed back his bag to her after taking out a black jeans and white shirt. She smiled at him as she took the bag and stuffed it back inside. Who would've thought that Hermione Granger's famous beaded bag would carry Draco Malfoy's belongings in it?
