Hey guys, you are all probably angry with me right? For making you wait so long well here it is, the next chapter. And as an apology, I've made this change rather big too. Though there is a warning, I may have skip over a couple of scenes as they would not have changed from that actual Manga/Anime, having not got Hikari involved or mention in. But i promise you that I did put in a lot of the important scenes in, mostly seen by Hikari. Now before I blabber on too much I'll let you read the story. Hope you enjoy the chapter!
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the characters except for Hikari and any other OC's that may appear.
Chapter 24
Normal P.O.V.
Natsu had arrived at the room where Lucy and Gajeel were and already he had landed a strong punch to Gajeel's face with his magic. Lucy was grinning, feeling rather confident about the turn of events, just earlier she had been tortured by Gajeel but soon the table's turned and he has been hit by Natsu. Natsu on the other hand was glaring at Gajeel, angry that he hurt his friends, but it made him even more angry that he tried to kill Lucy. Gajeel who had been punched, ended up going flying back and was thrown into the other members of Phantom, or at the least the ones that remain intact.
"You okay, Lucy?" Happy asked, appearing next to Lucy and he tried to release Lucy from what was tying her to the wall.
"Happy!" Lucy exclaimed, happy to see the blue cat.
"Move it." Gajeel spoke roughly, shoving each of the members of Phantom away, trying to get out of the mess that he landed in but as soon as he was free, Natsu appeared in front, and using his magic, Natsu punched him yet again, making Gajeel go flying yet again. All Natsu could do other than attack, was glare at his enemy.
"I've never seen Natsu like that…..!" Lucy spoke, watching the fight with worried eyes.
"Same here…" Happy spoke as he used all his strength to get the last restraint off of Lucy.
"Right now, he's strong." Happy spoke again as he finally got her free.
"DON'T GET SO COCKY!" Gajeel yelled as he came back towards Natsu, a grin on his face, and soon turned his arm metal as he threw a punch at Natsu.
"IRON DRAGON CLUB!" Gajeel yelled, as the attack was about to hit him, Natsu managed to dodge it but just barely, which caused Gajeel to hit the floor instead. The way Natsu had dodged the attack was to flip out of the way and he landed on his hands and on Gajeel's arm, and due to that, his next attack against Gajeel was to use his feet.
"FIRE DRAGON'S CLAW!" Natsu yelled kicking Gajeel in the face, his foot covered in flames, and soon after that Natsu grabbed onto Gajeel arm which was still shaped as a metal pole. Though it wasn't long until he noticed that Gajeel was smirking.
"IRON DRAGON BLADE!" Gajeel yelled, turning his arm from a pole into a blade, the sharp edges cutting into Natsu instantaneously, making Natsu yell out of shock and pain.
"Wh… What is that?!" Lucy exclaimed as she watched with wide eyes.
"Iron metsuryuu magic!" Happy exclaimed in shock, though answering Lucy's question. Soon after those words were spoken, Gajeel pulled his arm free, slicing Natsu along the way and once free kicked Natsu in the face.
"NATSU!" Lucy yelled, worried for her friend and teammate.
""I think it's time we put an end to this….. Salamander!" Gajeel spoke sadistically as a cocky grin appeared on his face.
"I'm just getting started…. Ya scrap-metal bastard." Natsu said, just a cocky as a smirk appeared on his face.
'They both fight with dragon slayer, the ability to change their body 's constitution to that of a dragon's… And these two anti-dragon specialists are going to fight each other?!' Lucy thought, eyes wide in fear, knowing that this fight that she was going to watch would be big. She watched as Gajeel's smirk grew, as Natsu's scowl grew deeper. 'H… How is this… going to work out…?!'
~Time Skip~ With Hikari, Erza and Jose
Hikari's P.O.V.
We had been fighting for what felt like hours but it had only been half an hour since I last saw Natsu. Both me and Erza had chosen to stay behind to deal with Jose. I was currently panting, blood dripping down my forehead, and the same was for Erza too, who stood not that far from my left.
'How can he still be standing?! Both me and Erza are close to our limits and he isn't even panting, let alone injured.' I thought to myself, my eyebrows narrowing into a glare. Jose was looking back at us with a smug smirk, but soon his smirk grew smaller slightly when the building shuck like mad and soon pieces of debris fell from the ceiling, and I smirked. 'I see Natsu beat Gajeel. Yes! Finally, some progress. Now to finish up here!'
"Hahaha… That dragon does like to rampage." Jose spoke, a smirk on his face, but I could see a little anger behind his eyes.
'Erza, be careful here. Whatever happens now, we need to act with caution.' I spoke to Erza telepathically, making her look at me in surprise. I chose to answer her unspoken question.
'It's a dragon thing.' I said to her, looking at her through the corner of my eye. She nodded her head slightly before we turned our attention to Jose.
"Looks like Natsu got severally underestimated in his fight." I spoke, and now awaited a reaction with my guard fully up.
"His… His power is on a level with mine, or perhaps even stronger still…" Erza said, raising her sword ready from the next round that we were about to have. I smirked, feeling a little amused, if only Natsu heard that comment with the amount of times he's challenged the red-head.
"Hm. Quit with the modesty, Titania, Hikari. Your magic ability is truly magnificent…. In truth, no other mages has ever managed to last so long against me. Then again, you've got Hikari's help, Titania. A ancient dragon and one that is close to being the strongest." Jose spoke, and suddenly I gained a bad feeling, the look in his eyes made me feel scared.
"Why, if you had not been already damaged by Jupiter, this may well have been quite the battle. I just can't stand the thought…. That two other mages could exist in Makarov's guild!" Jose said before he threw, what looked like, a really large attack at us, mainly seemed to be aiming it at Erza, a huge bolt of lightning heading in her direction and without thinking I moved. And allowed myself to be the one to get hit instead.
"AAAAGGGGGHHHHHH!" I screamed, so much pain, causing my sense, everything I feel to go numb and soon I saw that the ground was getting closer and closer, was it the floor moving? No, it was I that was moving, I was falling to the ground and I moved my eyes to look around me to see Jose smirking and Erza running towards me, her mouth was moving quite fast, as if she was yelling. I read her lips to find she was yelling my name, over and over again, her eyes showing to worry she felt for me. But all too soon, my senses soon cleared up again, just in time to hear Jose speak.
"Do you understand why it is that I never killed Makarov outright?" Jose spoke, before sending another attack our way, causing to Erza grab onto me and then dodging the attack all while carrying me.
"Ugh!" I groaned as we landed a bit further away from Jose.
"You okay?!" Erza asked, concerned but I looked to see her eyes hadn't left Jose's form. I smiled slightly.
"Yeah, help me up." I spoke, before she pulled me up onto my feet. I wavered a little but soon was standing strong once again and we ended up separating as Jose sent another attack our way but it was coming through the floor rather than through his hands.
"Why?" I asked tiredly.
"Despair. It was to show him despair. How would he feel to open his eyes and find his beloved guild and his beloved Nakama all completely destroyed? Ahahahah…. Such sorrow he would feel." Jose said, telling us his plan. I felt angry because of his words.
"I WILL KILL THAT MAN ONLY ONCE I HAVE MADE HIM KNOW DESPAIR AND SORROW! I CANNOT SIMPLY KILL HIM! I MUST MAKE HIM SUFFER, SUFFER, SUFFER TO THE VERY END!" Jose screamed cockily as he threw attack after attack at both me and Erza, making sure we could get close to him.
"You son of a bitch…" I muttered angrily, dodging yet another attack. I heard Erza gasp out something, but overall the destruction that we were causing I couldn't catch what she said but by the expression on her face I could tell it was an insult of her own.
"Phantom Lord was always the number one guild… In this whole country, our magic was unsurpassed, our members' talent was unsurpassed, and our funds were unsurpassed!" Jose said, still continuing his assault on us. But he wasn't finished, not by a long shot.
"… But then, in the space of a few years, Fairy Tail came to power. Erza and Laxus…. Mistgun and Gildarts… And just recently Hikari… Their names spread far as my hometown and rumours the Salamander spread throughout the whole country. Before I knew it, these two guilds, Phantom Lord and Fairy Tail, came to represent this country. I just couldn't stand it…. Them, who started out as a shitty, pathetically weak little guild!" Jose said, making me grit my teeth together and both me and Erza lunged at him, Jose dodged Erza's sword while he grabbed onto my scaled fist before throwing me over his body and into a wall.
"Are you telling me this war is all because of some pathetic little jealousy?" Erza said, continuously swing her sword at Jose, him constantly dodging her attacks.
"Jealousy? That's not it. We just make it painfully clear who is truly superior here!" Jose said, angrily.
"W…WHAT THE HELL?! FOR THAT STUPID IDEA?!" I yelled and soon I was forced down on the ground, Jose had hit the wall so that some debris fell on me, pinning me there. I struggled to move, trying to get rid of the concrete that lay on top of me, but it was difficult as it was very heavy and due to blood-loss, I was weaker than I should be.
"HIKARI!" Erza yelled, going to help me, only to then be stopped by Jose, who picked her up using his magic and now hovering above ground unable to move, Erza was force to just listen to Jose.
"Oh that guild has been getting on my nerves for a long, long time. But the trigger for this war was a little trivial matter. We received a request to recover the young heiress of Heartfilia Zaibatsu." Jose explained to us both.
"Lucy?" I muttered in surprise at the mention of her family name, and I could tell Erza was also surprised.
"THE DAUGHTER OF ONE OF THE WEALTHIEST MEN IN THE COUNTRY HAD JOINED FAIRY TAIL?! HOW 'GREAT' DID YOU HAVE TO BECOME BEFORE YOU WOULD BE SATISFIED?!" Jose yelled in anger, he took a breath but then I knew he wasn't finished.
"IF YOU HAD FREE ACCESS TO THE HEARTFILIA FUNDS…. THEN YOUR POWER WOULD HAVE FINALLY TRULY EXCEEDED OUR OWN! AND THAT WAS THE ONE THING THAT I COULD NEVER FORGIVE!" Jose yelled, as he was yelling, I had been hitting the debris that laid on top of me to the point it had finally freed me. And soon I was running at Jose.
"JOSE! Stop this now!" I yelled, though not as loud as him. Jose turned to me, ready to send another attack at me, but I dodged him and tackled him to the point he accidentally dropped Erza. I ran once again and managed to catch Erza, who was unconscious by this point.
"Erza! ERZA!" I yelled, hoping she'd wake up but it was no use, she was completely out cold and I looked around to see the rest of my friends were still unconscious. I looked back down at Erza, sighed and placed her down on the ground gently. I turned back to Jose to see him standing up from where he landed from my tackle and when I went to lunge at him, he grabbed me with his magic, just like he did with Erza. And by god did I understand why Erza was knock out cold, this thing was tight to the point it was hard to breath.
"That will stop you, you little bitch!" Jose spat, as he glared daggers up at me. I glared back at him with just as much force, but then soon a smirk came to my face before I let out humourless laugh.
"What?" Jose questioned, his voice was cold like it was before, but it held confusion in it. I decided to let him in on what I was thinking.
"It's pretty damn pathetic of you to get heated about who's the 'best'…. But… What's really shocking is how terrible…. Your information gathering resources…. Are…" I spoke, trying to gasp for air, and blinking away the darkness that was trying to evade my vision.
"What's that…?" Jose spoke, his confusion getting stronger, though it was not joined by surprise or was that shock?
"Lucy ran away…. From home… D'you really think… We could use her money….?" I spoke, as if answering his unspoken question. I watched how his eyes widened, his mouth open slightly to gape stupidly.
"She lived in a 70,000 Jewel rented house… She worked her ass off… Just like the rest of us…" I paused, gasping for air again, but then I continued on.
"She fought with us…. Laughed with us…. Cried with us… She's one of the mages of our guild… You're telling me that was the trigger of this war? Lucy, the heiress of the Heartfilia family? A flower can't choose a place where it blooms…. And a child can't choose the parents she's born to." I paused yet again, but this time out of anger, I took a breath and went to continue.
"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU KNOW ABOUT LUCY?!" I screeched at him, glaring at so hard that I know my eyed changed to my dragon eyes.
"Well I guess I'll find out." Jose started, a sadistic smirk on his face, his eyes wide but not out of shock, his expression was scaring me slightly. My eyes widened.
"Do you really think I'm going to hand her over to her Father for free? Oh, I'm going to keep her until they have no money. I'm going to get my hands on the entire Heartfilia fortune." Jose said, and I couldn't help but feel disgusted with him, oh haw I'm tempted to transform but then not only would I kill him, but my friends too, so I stopped myself from doing just that.
"DAMN YOOOOOUUUU!" I yelled trying to get out but that failed, though I felt parts of my clothing rip, making me growl in frustration. Plus me trying to get out of this situation did hurt and badly to make it worse.
"Oh, I wouldn't struggle if I were you… You'll just make it hurt more." Jose spoke before sending one of his powerful attacks at me, and since I couldn't dodge it, so I had no choice but to take it, but that didn't mean that it didn't hurt.
"GUAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" I screamed so much harder than I have already done in the day. But soon the pain disappeared as well as Jose's attack on me, then again I was also free from Jose's grip. How…? I was laying on the ground, staring up at the ceiling, trying to think how I got free, while Jose seemed to be panicking.
"Magic…?! Who's there?!" Jose yelled, looking towards the wall that had fully collapsed to the point you could see outside but it was hard with all the dust that was in the air, obviously caused by the debris. I turned to face the same direction to look to where Jose was looking, to see a small shadow walking this way.
"You have spilled too much blood here… The blood of children." I smiled, recognising that voice anywhere but yet my eyes were wide, surprised that he was here, of all places.
"Thanks to pitiful parents, a child went through pain, and shed many tears…. And that goes for more than one child. This has gone far enough…." The person said, finishing his speech just as the dust was clearing to see his face. It was Makarov and he was standing there looking as if he hadn't been injured, but he looked rather angry.
"I must put an end to this!" Makarov spoke, glaring at Jose.
"Master…" I spoke, smiling at him and yet I felt something wet run down my bloody cheeks, warm tear had now evaded my eyes but they were out of happiness rather than sadness. Though my happiness and relief didn't last long and chose to move out of their way, making sure to take an unconscious Erza with me.
"You wish to cause a cataclysm?" Jose questions, his face going dangerously dark and a smirk on his face at the same time.
"If it is necessary for my guild." Makarov said, his face equal amount of darkness Jose's, which made me really worry about how this was going to turn out. But figuring that Makarov wanted to take over from here, I turned my attention to my friends to heal them all, starting with Erza, then Gray, then Elfman and finally Mira. I couldn't heal them completely but I did enough to help to out of danger.
"Huh…? This warm feeling… This magic that feels almost nostalgic…" Gray said and I knew he wasn't talking about my magic but Makarov's.
"You must all leave this place." Makarov said, his back facing us. And of course, this made them all realise he was here, causing them to react.
"Master?!" Gray exclaimed, eyes wide in shock.
"Why are you here?!" Elfman questioned, equally as shocked as Gray.
"We should just do as he says." Erza says, standing up.
"Erza." Elfman said, looking at the red-head.
"Don't question it, just go." I spoke.
"But aren't you going too?" Gray said.
"No. I'm staying behind, I need to watch this. Go, now!" I said, looking at the guild masters.
"Hikari, you too!" Makarov spoke, his voice very serious.
"Sorry Master, but I'm staying. Don't worry, whatever you choose to do, won't affect me at all." I spoke.
"Fine." He said groaning. accepting this answer, the rest of the guys left rather quickly, even though I could tell they were hesitant about this. I sat on the floor, choosing to stay behind Makarov, knowing it be the best thing to do.
"Now that you are here before me, I have no interest in the weaklings .Though Hikari is still questionable in strength." Jose spoke, smirk towards me at that statement, making my spine shiver. Then Jose turned his attention back to Makarov. "But I shall make sure to slaughter them all afterwards."
"It has been six long years since we last stood face-to-face like this! Who would have imagined that Fairy Tail could become as large a guild in that space of time? Ahah…. It's just a pile of rubble now, mind." Jose spoke, and my eyes closed, pain and sadness at the thought that the guild had been destroyed completely, needing to be re-built. If only Mavis was here, it would make it so much worse. But then again a building didn't matter as long as everyone was alive and okay, even if the building held a lot of precious memories for everyone, even those that don't like to admit it to themselves.
"A guild is not a physical building! It is the sum of its members!" Makarov said, making me re-open my eyes to look at him and then I noticed something, he was using his magic to create little floating balls that connected together and he was doing it in a pattern too. I recognised this, a spell you need to use on a last resort. It was an attack to take out and completely defeat it opponent, this would definitely work against Jose.
"Still, this does make me so very happy… For two of the seiten daimadou to be able to contest like this, to determine whom is superior." Jose spoke, and couldn't help but show my disgust on my face, he was still going on about that?
"Youngsters, I thank you all for your efforts. You have done well. TAKE PRIDE IN BEING PART OF FAIRY TAIL!" Makarov yelled the last part out and then that's when things started to shake.
I looked outside to see that everything started to look rough, the clouds in the sky seemed to swirl around us, as well as becoming dark and grey, the sea looked to be getting rough too as waves are starting to appear, getting bigger and bigger as time passes and then a bolt of light flashed above us all making me realize that lightning has struck. I turned back to the guild masters only for my eyes to widen, the two had started fighting, an attack from Makarov had been sent to Jose, who didn't get time to dodge or block and went right through his left shoulder blade making me flinch in pain, but I felt creeped out as I saw Jose grin.
"DEAD WAVE!" Jose yelled, sending a wave of dark magic our way, and thinking fast I got up, and my hands going at lightning speed, did hand signs before slamming them together as if I was going to pray. Makarov look back at me, eyes wide, but see the look in my eyes nodded. I knew he wasn't sure what was going to happen but then, the building shuck more as I threw my counter attack back. Jose's attack never even hit us, as a burst of light exploded around us slightly, and I made sure that only Jose was effected by this attack, who was flown back and hit a pillar rather hard and soon it was him that was trying to breathe.
"How did you…?!" Makarov asked me, looking up at me with wide eyes.
"400 Years' worth of knowledge is piled in me, I probably know more spells than you." I spoke, a smug smile on my face.
"Then you probably could have ended this ages ago." He spoke again, the shock seemed to be wearing off.
"I know I could have, and I do feel bad for letting it drag on like it has done. But I had no choice, it was too risky." I said, and he nodded before we turned out attention to Jose you looked at us.
"Well that wasn't something I was expecting, but then again it came from you, Hikari-Sama." Jose spoke, thought the way he said the suffix that added on to my named made be shudder. Then I felt a sharp pain in my chest, looking down I saw a shadow appear to be surrounding me and then suddenly I remembered the presence I felt earlier, it had snuck up on me, I gasped and fell to my knees.
"Hikari?! What's going on?!" Makarov asked, fully alerted, I looked up to him as I was knelt down to the point I was shorter than him!
"I… I'm fine! Go fight Jose… You better win! I suggest you use that spell." I gasped out, he seemed unsure but nodded soon afterwards, though soon his eyes widened in surprise and looked at me again.
"H… How?!" He stuttered in shock.
"Like I said before, 400 years' worth of knowledge." I gasped.
"Yeah, but this spell is one of Fairy Tails' top secret spells, how…?" He asked again, I smiled.
"I can't say just yet, you're not quite ready to hear the whole truth, there are things that I know that none of you are ready to hear. Just trust me on this, please!" I pleaded, hoping he'd let it go. He looked unsure but seeing the trust in my eyes he nodded and turned back towards Jose.
"Fairly impressive. So much power as such a young age… You have at least earned your place among seiten. Had you chosen to use that power for good, and become a model for those still younger than yourself, the world of mages would surely have benefited greatly." Makarov spoke, his voice as serious as ever when it came to tense moments.
"Old man… Are you preaching me?" Jose questioned, that smirk having not disappeared.
"As is the custom of Fairy Tail's justice system…. I shall give you until the count of three." Makarov said as his body started to grow so that he looked like a giant, he was a high if not a little higher than where the ceiling should have been.
"Kneel." Makarov spoke, his voice very low and quite deep, but I had to cover my ears as his voice was rather loud and it didn't help my heightened senses at all.
"Hmm?" Jose hummed curiously as looked up at Makarov, I looked at him as if he had grown a second head. Was this guy being brave? Or was he just plain dumb?
"One." Makarov said, his voice just as deep and low as before, but was it a little louder than before? I kept my hands over my ears and just watched.
"Hahaha! I was wondering what nonsense you were spouting , but asking me to kneel?!" Jose spoke his voice was also raising as if he was about to yell.
"Two." Makarov spoke, and his voice was getting louder.
"YOU WANT ME TO KNEEL BEFORE YOU, TO ACKNOWLEDGE YOU AS THE GREATEST GUILD IN THE KINGDOM?! STOP FOOLING AROUND! IN COMBAT, I AM YOUR MATCH! NAY, MORE STILL THAN THAT; I AM THE STRONGER!" Jose yelled adamantly, and I looked at him.
"Just give up already…." I muttered under my breath.
"Three." Makarov spoke again, that was Jose's final warning, and did he listen? No, no he did not.
"YOU ARE THE ONES WHO SHOULD BE KNEELING BEFORE ME! NOW DIE! CRUMBLE TO DUST AND VANISH FROM THE FACE OF HISTORY! FAIRY TAIL!" Jose screamed, and that's when I decided that he had finally lost it, he looked like a mad man. I so wanted to punch him but I let Makarov do what he needs to do.
"That's enough." Makarov spoke, opening his eyes after slamming his hands together, and that's when I had noticed that there had been a ball of magic in between his hands the entire time he had been counting.
"FAIRY LAW ACTIVATE." Once Master said that, we were engulfed in light, a light so bright that I had to close my eyes but it felt warm, warm to the point I could relax and fall asleep but I didn't do that and waited it out.
"Never come near Fairy Tail again!" I heard Makarov say, which caused me to open my eyes and that's when I noticed that the light had long disappeared and we were now in the aftermath of it. I almost laughed at the sight of Jose, he stood there facing us both, but he wasn't himself completely. His skin had paled to the point it was snow white, the pupils of his eyes had disappeared, his mouth wide open. He was also sweating rather badly and was shaking but that was out of fear and the fact that attack had probably drained quite a lot out of him.
"You've done so much damage, the council won't be quiet about this! For now we should… Take care of ourselves!" Makarov said turning around and walking over in my direction, I smiled at him. Though that smile disappeared as Aria suddenly appeared behind Makarov, he seemed to be reaching towards the Master, so getting up and moving at alarming speed, I punched him in the face, causing him to go flying back.
"Thanks, Hikari." Makarov said, not turning around.
"It's over! We've ended the battle between us! If you wish to fight… We will not hesitate to exterminate you all to nothing!" I spoke, glaring at the two remaining members of Phantom.
"Take Jose back! NOW!" Makarov said, his voice still holding its seriousness. But all too soon he turned to me once we came into view of our guild.
"Are you alright, Hikari?" He spoke, staring up me. It took me a second to think what he meant by that, but it was then that I remembered that a little shadow creature had attacked me earlier and I just realised I had completely forgot about it. Looking down at my chest I saw nothing there, and I felt no pain either. I contemplated my answer before speaking out.
"Yeah, I'm fine. What now?" I asked Makarov, looking down at him but there was a smile on my face.
"There is something I need to do. Go look for Natsu, I don't see him down there." He answered, and I took a look down at my friends to see that he was right. Natsu wasn't amongst them.
"Alright, I'm off!" I exclaimed happily before summoning my wings and went for a fly around the building before seeing him and flew down to him.
"Natsu!" I called to him, he of course looked up with a curious look on his face but all too soon I saw that huge goofy smile that I love seeing on that face of his.
"Hikari!" He called back, running to me once I landed on my feet not that far from him. But before I could say anything or do anything, his warm strong arms were around me, he pulled me to his chest and held me there, and without much thought, I hugged him back.
"I'm so glad you're alright. You had me worried." Natsu spoke softly, and I couldn't help but smile up at him and before I knew what I was doing I kissed his cheek.
"It should have been me that was worrying about you. You're the human, while I'm the immortal one." I snickered up at him, then laughed harder when I saw his face turn bright red. I decided to tease him, even for just a little bit.
"Aww, is Wittle Natsu embarrassed? Aww, does he need another huggie wuggie?" I spoke, making my voice sound childish, using a voice Mother's would use on their babies. But all too soon I saw a smirk on his face, and I gulped then, thinking to myself. 'I really need to be careful around Natsu.'
"I need more than just a 'huggie wuggie'." Natsu spoke his face close to my face, his eyes looking to my lips, and I felt face face getting closer and closer and soon his lip was close to brushing with mine.
"Ahem!" A deep voice cut in and Natsu pulled away looking annoyed and walked to the edge of the building. I just stared after him though, my cheeks were very warm at the sudden realisation that Natsu almost kissed me. I turned to see that it had been Gajeel that interrupted us, I glared.
"What?" I spoke, bringing up my defences.
"Do you know anything on Metalicana?" Gajeel spoke, hated not in his voice but there was a bit of annoyance in it, but then again we weren't exactly friends. I chose to give a far more serious answer this time, unlike last time.
"I don't know. I was being partially serious last time. I had only met him three years ago. We weren't really the closets to one another, that time I met him was the only time I have spoken to him, nothing more. I'm sorry." I spoke, my voice very serious, no amusement in it this time and I could tell Gajeel caught that as he nodded and turned away and started walking back into his guild. I felt sorry for him, it wasn't easy seeing someone loose a parent, no matter who they are.
"You ready to go?" I heard Natsu speak, his voice impatient but I could see that he was eager to return to rest of the guild. I smiled.
"Yeah, let's go." I said summoning my wings once again, and picking up Natsu, flew us back down to everyone who greeted us with huge smiles and big cheers but my eyes were searching for a certain blonde.
"Lucy!" I called jogging over to her, and upon seeing me, she rushed towards me and hugged me tightly. I felt her shaking and I smiled before hugging her back, all while stroking the back of her head.
"It's okay, it's all over now." I spoke softly.
"T…. Thank you, Hika-Chan!" She said, as she cried softly. It wasn't long did I finally manage to calm her down, and once she did calm down I let her go and soon after doing that Makarov showed up and went to stare up at what was once our guild hall.
"Wow… This got trashed pretty badly…" He spoke quietly but he was still loud enough for us all to hear, I sighed when I felt a warm body stand to my left, and arm going around my shoulders, and I noticed that it was Natsu who just smiled down at me before we both turned our attention back to the others.
"U…Um…. Master…" Lucy spoke nervously, looking at the floor, I just watched her, making my face blank of all emotions, not sure how to feel. Should be worry? Should it be sadness? Happiness? Nervousness? I was not sure, so I stayed put and quiet too.
"Mmm? You guys look like you ran into quite a bit of trouble." Makarov said, not bothering to turn around, but I could tell he was concerned for Lucy. Lucy looked like she wanted to break down, and I went to got to her, but Natsu's arms tightened making me look up at him and he shook his head, telling me to not doing anything.
"Wha-?" I went to ask, but he leaned down.
"Just watch." He whispered into my ear, his warm breath going down my neck, making me shiver. He smirked before standing back into the position he was in before.
"Don't look like that Lu-Chan." A voice said, making both me and Lucy turn our heads towards it, seeing Levy, Jet, Droy and Reedus walking over to us all. I smiled, glad those guys were okay, or at least doing better than earlier.
"It's a victory where we all fought together." Levy said upon noticing that we all saw them.
"Although our guild got trashed…" Droy said.
"We can just rebuild it." Jet said, as if continuing Droy's sentence.
"Oui." Reedus said in agreement.
"Levy-Chan…. Reedus…. Jet… Droy…" Lucy spoke out their names, a little surprised, but I could sense she felt relieved to see them. But I also saw that she was starting to shake.
"Sorry for making you worry." Levy said, a soft smile on her face.
"N… No… That's my…" Lucy started to speak, as her shaking grew worse.
"I heard the story but no one thinks it's your fault Lu-Chan." Levy said, that smile of hers not going anywhere.
"I… I couldn't be of any use… Um.. I'm sorry…" Reedus said, looking down at the ground guiltily. Lucy shook her profusely, a large frown on her face.
"Lucy." Makarov spoke, gaining her attention, mine included.
"Happiness. Sadness. We can't share all of it, but we can to some extent. That is a guild. One person's happiness is everyone's happiness. One person's anger is everyone's anger. One person's tears is everyone's tears. You don't have to suffer with guilt, our thoughts should reach you." He paused slightly, just as Lucy's face ducked down to hide behind her hands, obviously crying.
"Raise your head. You are a member of Fairy Tail." Makarov spoke, turning around to face Lucy, a warm smile on his face. I looked back at Lucy to see that her face was now facing the heavens, crying full out, to the point everyone smiled, some laughed and I was also smiling but I couldn't help the small amount of tears that fell from my own eyes.
"See Luce, I told you things would be okay…" I muttered, as I watched my best friend. But I turned to look at the Master, thinking of thanking him but noticed that he was balling himself, babbling about something to do with the council, I sweat-dropped at that, but soon laughed.
~Time Skip, a week later~
It had been a whole week since the whole incident, and I will say this, things didn't go unnoticed by the council like we had hoped. After our little cheer from winning, the magic army appear before us, some of us shocked, some of us tried to escape though that was mainly Natsu and Happy, while Master cried his eyes out even more. Turns out, we weren't arrested though, we had been taken to one of their camps though that wasn't too far, and soon they began to question us all, they wanted to investigate to whole situation. But soon enough we had been let us go freely and now here we are currently picking ourselves back up, starting to rebuild our guild hall.
"We're go redesign the place? Make it look differently?" I questioned, I was currently talking to Mira about the guild.
"Yes. We thought that with the old one now gone, we'd try something new." Mira said, as she showed me the plans.
"I see. So we are making it bigger this time? Isn't that a bit much?" I asked, unsure about it. It would probably cost a lot more than what was necessary.
"Probably, but it isn't such a big deal. We could use with something new anyways." Mira spoke, before she giggled at the expression that I was probably pulling.
"There's no need to show to much worry Hika-Chan, it'll be fine." She reassured me, making me sigh then nod.
"Alright, not my fault if we run out of money." I spoke, a small smile on my face.
"Haha, your starting to sound like Lucy now, worrying about money." Mira spoke, amusement lacing her voice.
"Anyways, now that you mention her name, where is Lucy?" I asked Mira, I was worried as my eyes scanned the place for my best friend.
"If think she's at home, she's still recovering, both physically and emotionally." Mira said, and this spiked my worry to grow stronger.
"I see. I'm going to go check up on her. Sorry." I spoke before walking away with a small wave to the girl.
"Alright." I heard her call before I heard her wander off somewhere. Deciding to create a short cut, I flew up to the roofs of a building, I ran in the direction of Lucy's house, cutting across the roads, didn't feel like following the paths. As soon as I reached Lucy's home she wasn't there, but then I saw her in the distance walking away. She wasn't heading towards the guild as it was in the opposite direction, she looked to be going towards the station. I jumped off of the roof I was on and ran to catch up with her.
"Lucy!" I called to her, making her stop suddenly and then turning to look back to see me.
"Hikari! What are you doing here?!" She exclaimed, surprised by my sudden appearance.
"Coming to check on you to see how you were doing. And what about you? Where are you heading to on this fine day?" I asked, my voice didn't hide the curiosity and confusion that I felt.
"Home." She answered. Huh? Wait a moment, did I just hear that right?
"W… Wait a moment? Did you just say you were going home? You're leaving us?!" I asked, fully panicking. I didn't like this.
"No, no. It's not like that at all, I wanted to actually return there to clear things up with my Father, tell him that whatever he wants off of me he ain't going to get from me and that I want to live my life alongside you ad Fairy Tail." She explained, and I visibly relax.
"Phew. You scared me for a moment there, Hun. I thought I just lost a best friend." I sighed out, before I hide my face with one hand, I heard her giggle.
"I would never leave you, ever. You're my best friend too. If it helps you to relax, why not come with me?" She said, and I thought about it for a second before nodding.
"Yeah that would definitely ease my mind a little." I said and soon after that we both started off, I did offer if she wanted me to just take her there, for her to ride me while I'm in my dragon form but she kindly and politely refused, wanting to travel like a normal human, which of course made me laugh. So here we were, sitting on the train and happily chatting with Lucy.
"I bet our friends have noticed our disappearance by now." I said, a snicker soon after.
"True. I bet they are freaking out. Especially Natsu." Lucy said as she too giggled. At the mention of Natsu's name, I felt my cheeks grow warm fast, and of course the blonde did notice this.
"Hikari? Your face is red? Are you okay? Are you sick?" She spoke, I looked up at her and saw her face showed that she was worried.
"I… I'm fine." I nervously said , forcing the blush back, hoping she didn't catch on.
"But you went red when I mentioned…. Oh I see how this is, you like him don't you…?" She said, a smirk on her face. I thought about refusing to admit it, I was thinking of arguing but knowing Luce, she'd win this one. So I gave in.
"It's not a matter of liking him… It's stronger than that…" I spoke, looking out the window, but I saw Lucy's reflection, I saw her reaction, all teasing left her face, eyes wide and mouth gaping as she looked at me.
"Wait… Does this mean you've seriously fallen for him? You love him?" She questioned me, I saw that she was surprised but not in a bad way, I could tell she was also happy.
"Yeah, I guess I do." I answered quietly but she did hear me as a huge smile on her face appeared.
"I see! But when did this start?" She asked.
"Since the whole getting arrested situation." I answered, taking a pause but then making another quick statement. "Thought back then it was more of a small crush at that time."
"I see, then something must have happened to make that get stronger." She spoke, her smile growing from excitedly happy to a comforting warm one. I felt my blush grow warmer and bigger. "Oh? Something did happen. What ? Tell me!"
"Ever since meeting him, I could see a special guy who is happy, warm and loyal. But what I've noticed behind that idiotic yet goofy smile of his, is a sweet loving guy who is protective and caring, who is strong and smart when he wants to be. He's someone that can bring anyone together, become friends with anyone, no matter what their past is like. I can't help but want to stay by his side to the point I wouldn't care if we stayed as friends or became something more, as long as I have him near me." I spoke, that was a mouthful, but it was all true, that was how I felt, my feelings strong and only getting stronger as each day passes. Lucy smiled.
"This is the first time I'm see you like this." She stated.
"Huh? What do you mean by that?" I asked, genuinely confused.
"You being this happy. Before you were still happy but I could see pain behind your eyes, even after joining Fairy Tail, but at the mere mention of Natsu and the pain seems to disappear completely. It makes me feel happy to see you like that, you've always helped me and I always feel sad and guilty whenever you look like you need my help but not being able to, but now I'm seeing cracks in it, you seem to be able to let it go. Maybe not all of it, but gradually I have seen a difference and in a good way." Lucy said smiling at me, I looked at her, surprised but soon I smiled back.
"I guess so. I never notice that before." I said, but while I started thinking about Natsu, I suddenly remembered that he almost kissed me, my cheeks grew warm again.
"Thinking about Natsu again?" Lucy teased, that grin on her face again.
"Maybe." I spoke, the corners of my mouth twitching up a little.
"Come on, tell me." She spoke, pushing me to answer her.
"A week ago, just after the incident. I went to find Natsu, and when I did, he hugged me, like you've seen us do occasionally." I started, Lucy nodded, edging me to continue.
"Well out of relief that he was ok, I may have kissed his cheek and in return he may have went in to fully kiss me, on the lips I mean but he never got to as we got interrupted but I will say this, he was the one that initiate it, not me." I spoke, and she gave a small excited squeal, and I looked at her in question.
"That's a good sign!" Luce spoke excitedly.
"Why?" I asked, and she then looked at me as if I grew two heads.
"Think about it, if he went in to kiss you, isn't that a sign that he likes you back? And in the same way you love him?" She asks and then it thought about it for a second before realization hit me, it could be possible that she may be right but Natsu didn't seem to be one to just openly initiate a kiss.
"True, it could be that. But think about it, does Natsu seem the type of person to initiate such a thing? I sensed that when he went to kiss me that his personality changed slightly, a side that only I've seen. Possessiveness that only a dragon is capable of." I spoke to her, telling her on what I was thinking.
"Huh? Now that you mention it, Natsu doesn't seem to be like that at all, if anything, when it comes to affection, he's completely oblivious and unaware of that, the closest you'll get from him is a stupid grin and a laugh from him. What possessiveness do you mean that was coming from him?" She asked.
"It isn't the first time I've seen it, I saw it back when we were at Garuna Island. It felt as if his idiotic and goofy self completely disappears and I see a gentleman who is hot, sexy and very mature, a new personality, a different side of him. But I don't think we need to worry about it too much, probably me and me alone though." I said.
"Huh, what do you mean you alone needs to worry about it? He's my friend too you know." Lucy said frowning.
"I wasn't saying not to worry about him and I was insinuating anything like that. I'm saying that his dragon instincts are probably being the cause of this. His dragon side of him is probably saying that he has found a mate, aka me, and it is probably telling him to mate with me, not that I'm complaining, so since it's directed to me, I should worry about it more than everyone else." I explain.
"Ooohhh, I see, I understand. So it's his instincts that are telling him to be like that, its completely unconscious the way he's acting." Luce said, visibly relaxing.
"Most likely, but that's only a theory." I said, and Lucy looked at me again a little alarmed but after sending her a look, she relaxed again.
"Shouldn't we be arriving soon?" I asked.
"Yeah, in five minutes, so we should probably gather our stuff soon." She said and I nodded. Soon we found ourselves in a comfortable silence, having had a huge heartfelt conversation between two girls and two best friends; I smiled happily to have something off of my chest, something that I didn't need to hide.
After a few more hours, we soon found ourselves in front of a huge mansion, which I guessed was Lucy's old home, as we walked, I looked around in amazement, how could Lucy hate being in such a beautiful place? Then I reminded myself that it was Father that she was escaping, I sighed sadly and then I noticed a person stood by the fountain that looked to be in front of the front doors of the huge mansion. I noticed that the person just happened to be a maid and that she was sweeping the floor, she looked up upon our arrival.
"O-O-OOOOHH! Lucy!" She exclaimed, dropping the broom, looking towards us in shock before running up to us, though her attention was on Lucy. I back away to give them some space and I stopped pay any attention, giving them as much privacy as I could. So though quite a few other people showed up, all looking different and my guesses are that they had some different jobs that are filled around the place. But all too soon another person came, but he seems to be following an order.
"Lucy, your Father has asked that you come to the main study…" The guy said, and I looked over at Lucy in concern but she was smile, but the sad kind.
"I'm coming with you Luce." I said.
"No, I need to do this alone." She said sadly.
"I won't follow you into the room, just to the door." I said, giving a small smile.
"Alright." She sighed and then I followed her in. Everywhere we went as we walked through her old home, I couldn't help my amazement getting the better of me, I looked at just about everything. I saw how each room was big and even more beautiful than the outside, hell it looks bigger inside than it does from the outside. As we reached her old bedroom, I opted to wait outside as they all got her re-dressed into fancier clothes, and when she did finally come out of her room, I gaped.
"What is it?" Lucy asked, giggling at me.
"You look absolutely different, I almost didn't recognize you. If it weren't for your brown eyes and blonde hair, I can be certain I was looking at a different person. You look beautiful." I complimented, still gaping a little.
"Thanks, I feel different." She said, a sad smile on her face though.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to bring back any memories. Let's go get this over with so you can return to your real home." I said, smiling at her. She smiled back at me before leading the way to the main study, which would be where her Father was going to be. And all too soon we reached the door, she looked at me, her face showing how nervous she was.
"Go on. It'll be okay and just remember that I'm here waiting for you, if you need me, shout." I said, hoping to give her some confidence.
"Thanks Hika-Chan. You're the best." Lucy said before going in, the door shutting behind her and soon I leaned against the wall on the opposite side of the hallway, and I soon notice half the staff I saw outside appear and they were listening in on the conversation though that Maid that we saw first suddenly stopped listening in and turned to me.
"Hey, you're a friend of Lucy's, right?" She spoke, her voice held a voice a Mother would have when thinking of their child.
"Yes, my name is Hikari Dovah. I am in the same guild as Lucy." I spoke, confirming her answer.
"I see, and is Lucy happy at this guild?" The maid asked me, and I smiled at her her.
"Yes, she is very happy, she had told me that she thinks of everyone at the guild like a family to her. I haven't seen a day were she seems unhappy at the guild in fact I believe I won't ever see her like that." I said.
"I see. That makes me so happy to hear that. Lucy has had a lot of painful memories here, and we all worry for her, this wasn't the first time she had run away, though the first time she had been caught and brought back." She spoke, explaining it to me.
"Since her mother Layla died?" I asked.
"Huh? So you already knew this?" The maid asked me, frowning a little bit.
"She had told me, but only briefly. I didn't pry into it nor did I force her to tell me. I just mentioned that if she wants to speak to me about anything, she can, at her pace, and in her own time." I said and I saw the maid visibly relax.
"Then promise me something." The maid said.
"What is it?" I asked curiously.
"Look after her, protect her. Please." The maid said, bowing to me respectfully.
"Hmm… I would have looked after her anyway with or without you asking. I have already been doing it. But I do do promise you this, that no true harm will come to Luce, I swear this with my life that I will protect her." I swore, and the maid looked up at me, a huge smile on my face, a smile that I returned and soon after that I saw Lucy walk out the room, the top half of her dress completely ripped.
"L…. Lucy! What happened?!" I asked, alarmed and completely worried. She smiled.
"It's nothing to worry about. But I did it, it's over with. Hikari, he wants to speak to you." Luce said, now looking worried for me.
"Alright, go get changed and I'll meet you outside." I said, patting her shoulder as I passed her.
"I'll be by Mother's grave. Just to the right of the building, in the gardens." She said and I nodded before closing the study door behind me. I then turned my attention to the gentleman that stood by the window, though he was facing in my direction. He had similar blonde hair to Lucy's if only a shade darker with a moustache that hides his mouth, and narrowly thin blue eyes, and he was wearing a brown suite with a green tie.
"I take it you're Miss Hikari Dovah, right?" He asked, his voice was a little rough if not a little deep. I walked up to the desk only stopping when I'm about a metre away from it.
"Yes." I answered.
"I see. I'm glad she has a friend like you then." He spoke, huh? Wasn't he supposed to be mean and grumpy? Or was that only shown towards Lucy?
"May I ask a question?" I asked hesitantly, unsure if my question would not be my place to be.
"By all means, ask. I'm sure a friend of Lucy would definitely have questions after see her suffer." He said.
"Why would you do that to her? Treat her so cruelly over the years, treat her like a stranger who doesn't belong in the household. Why? Is it something to do with Layla? He mothers death?" I asked, looking at him thought narrow eyes all while frowning. He sighed.
"I see you know more than I thought. It's probably true that I treated her badly but I never meant anything by it. Due to Layla's death, I grew angry all the time, mainly towards myself and for some reason and without thinking it, Lucy mainly got the brunt of that anger, it was never towards her really." He said, he seemed to pause there for a second, turning towards the window to watch something and when I joined him by his side, I noticed Lucy walking to the gardens with flowers.
"When her mother died, I guess our bond between me and her ended up lessening before it was fully destroyed. I still loved her, even now I still do but there's a rift in it now, for the first few months after Layla's death, Lucy spent most of her time crying and mourning while I too was doing it separately from her an d as time passed, I just forgot how to talk to my baby girl, unsure how to communicate with her, things became different between us both." He spoke, before sighed as he closed his eyes sadly before looking at me.
"I see. After losing someone that was so precious to the household, to the family, it's very easy to lose the way. It's a common thing really. It wasn't that you hates her, you just wasn't sure how to show that you loved her. I understand, so that means I cannot stay angry at you. At least not completely, just promise that you won't go after Fairy Tail no more and I can let this one go." I said, giving him a one sided smirk.
"Promise. Just look after Lucy. Please." He said, a small smile appearing on his face.
"But of course, she is after all my best friend." I said before I let out a small laugh, Mr Heartfilia seem to smile a little bigger and soon laughed with me.
"Take care of yourself too, can't have my daughter losing a precious friend." He said.
"Oh don't worry, I won't be leaving anytime soon." I said, if only he knew what I was, and then he'd probably freak out. I started walking back to the doors and then when I I opened it, he spoke again.
"Hikari." He called, making me turn to him.
"Don't say anything about this to Lucy. If anything, I want to mend this relationship between us myself." He said, looking very serious, but not in a scary way, I smiled.
"Alright but try a different tactic next time. Why not go to her instead of hiring people to get her? I will make a huge difference and I can guarantee that it'll make her happier." I said, and he soon had a thoughtful look on his face.
"I can do that. Thank you." He spoke and then hesitated, looking like he wanted to say something else, he chose to say it by the look of it. "Hikari, seriously, thank you so much for looking after her and for keeping her happy when I could not and I apologize for causing you and your guild a lot of pain."
"Ah. No need to worry too much about that, we are the kind of people that you push down to the ground and we would pick ourselves up with ease. We're strong no matter what happens, and I will say this now. Lucy belongs there, she fits in perfectly, it feels as if the guild has waited for a person just like Lucy to come along." I spoke, making him smile once again and he nodded before I left the room while I spoke my last words to the man. "Take care of yourself, Jude."
It wasn't long did I find myself outside and in front of the house, after getting help from a maid who had to show me the way out who noticed I looked a little lost, I found myself walking to the gardens. I though stopped dead and went to laugh. I notice not only Lucy at her Mother's grave, but Natsu, Gray, Erza and Happy were also there too, and by the looks of it, she was explaining herself to them, they looked to be freaking out like we had predicted earlier, Happy was also hugging Lucy, making me smile, happy and yet jealous at the same time, it was at that point did Lucy spot me.
"Hikari!" She called out to me, now putting me in the spotlight and four heads snapped to look at me, surprise on their faces.
"HIKARI?!" They yelled and I could not stop it this time, I laughed.
"What are you doing here Hikari?! We thought you were at home." Erza said, just as I reached them.
"I went to go check up on Lucy while thinking she was home but soon enough I tracked her down as she was headed to the train station. Like you guys, I too thought she was leaving us completely but after learning her true intentions I decided to tag along to give her moral support." I explained.
"Or rather make sure that I'd return." Lucy said, a smirk on her face.
"Hey! I seriously wanted to be here for you!" I exclaimed.
"Yes, yes! Alright you were here to help." Lucy spoke, though I could sense amusement in her voice. I grumbled to myself, not really saying any proper words.
"Hikari! Don't scare me like that!" A high pitch voice whined, coming from the flying blue hair cat, as he left Lucy's arms and flew into mine, hugging me.
"Don't worry, I don't plan to leave either. You guys are my friends and I do plan to stick around, always." I said, trying to reassure him as I hugged him, giving a little kiss on top of his head. And soon I was stroking him, while he purred.
"That's good. If you had left, cinder-brain over here would never shut up." Gray said, jabbing a thumb in Natsu's direction, a smirk on his face. I laughed slightly as Natsu slowly looked from me to Gray, his mind was probably processing what Gray said slowly but soon enough there was a reaction.
"WHAT WAS THAT, ICE-PRINCESS?!" Natsu yelled.
"HUH? YOU WANT TO FIGHT FLAME-BREATH?!" Gray yelled, and soon the two was butting heads. I laughed, oh those two would never change. I looked over at the female companions that were with me, while Lucy was giggling at them, a dark aura was coming from Erza.
"Um… Boys!" I went to warn them but all too soon, they were on the ground, with gigantic bruises on their heads and Erza's hands in fists. I sighed and shook my head but I was smiling.
"So, shall we go back home?" I asked, and Lucy nodded eagerly before walking off with Natsu, Gray and Erza following behind her, and I went to follow to when I looked back to Lucy's old home and towards a window to see Jude looking down at us, a smile on his face. I nodded to him, which in turn, made him nod.
"You okay, Hikari?" Happy asked me, looking concerned.
"Yeah I'm okay." I said before running to catch up to the guys. When I did catch up, I caught on to what they were talking about.
"Sorry to worry you guys." Lucy said, rubbing the back of her head but was smiling none the less.
"Man, I got all anxious over nothing!" Gray said, both his hand behind his head.
"You can't blame her though. She needed to clear things up with him." I spoke, a small smile on my face just as Happy decided to jump out of my arms, I was curious about it but let it go.
"Just drop it already! It's our fault for jumping to conclusions in the first place." Erza said.
"Hey, you guys aren't the only ones to jump to conclusions here." I said, making Erza smile at me.
"Happy was crying the whole time." Natsu said laughing his ass off.
"N-No I wasn't!" Happy spoke in denial. I just laughed at their banter.
"Gotta say though, this city's huge!" Gray spoke, a relaxed smile on his face.
"Ah… Well… This is this the garden. My family owns all the land up to those mountains." Lucy said with a huge smile as she pointed to the mountains that was in the far distance, probably 5 to 6 miles away, and by the look of the expression on Lucy's face she could possibly be showing of here and damn was it working. I gawked, freezing in shock, I knew she was rich but I didn't know she was this rich.
Huh? What's wrong?" Lucy asked, losing the smile and looked at us in confusion, probably because all four of us had similar expressions as each other.
"Wow… Should I be calling you my lady from now on?" I spoke absentmindedly, as I just looked at the blonde.
"Your excellency!" Natsu yelled, giving her a salute.
"It is an honour to know someone so humble!" Gray yelled, following Natsu's actions as he too gave her a salute.
"Natsu, Gray and Hikari are down for the count! Captain Erza, your thoughts please!" Happy begged as he looked to the red-head.
"The sky… is blue…" Erza said, also absentmindedly.
"WE'VE LOST THE CAPTAIN TOO!" Happy yelled, and soon I was laughing, bringing everyone's attention to me.
"You alright there Hikari?" Natsu asked as he was right next to me, but I was laughing so hard I couldn't stop myself and soon I had everyone laughing alongside me. And soon enough, we started our way back home.
Normal P.O.V.
~In the far direction from Team Natsu~
Two figures were in a tree, one sitting while the other was standing, their faces where shadowed over so you couldn't see their faces.
"Is everything ready?" The figure standing up asked, a masculine voice that was a little deep if not sounded elegant.
"Yes, we are all prepared, Ryou-Sama. We are ready to get this woman onto our side." The figure sitting down said. The man, Ryou looking down at the woman he stood by, frowning slightly but soon it smirked.
"Good. But remember this this Kyoko. She is not an ordinary person, nor is she weak. If she wanted to, she could end you quickly and of course she is a member of the number one guild Fairy Tail." Ryou said.
"So true. So when should we started the operation?" Kyoko asked.
"In a few days, even though while she has been weakened by Phantom, which of course would make it easier on us, we need her a full strength, so we wait." He paused, looking back towards the retreating team.
"And in a few days, we'll start make our first step, Operation: Capture Hikari Dovah."
Hello again! I hope that you enjoyed the chapter and I hope you aren't too angry with me! I had a really good job recently but I've now ended it due to my contract with them ending, but that was in April. And since finishing I have tried and failed constantly to get my motivation back and I've been trying to write this chapter for ages. So if anything, thank my best friend for giving me some of it back as she had asked me for my help on a new fanfic she was going to write for herself and had got me involved in it and since then, I gained a bit of my motivation back.
Anyways, I hope that you enjoyed this chapter as it took me a whole two days to type up, even though the start involving Natsu, Gajeel and Lucy was typed up a month ago.
Anyways, thank you for favouring and following this story and for the reviews, I do read them and in some way, thanks to them and you guys, I do gain a tiny bit of motivation too (And not just my friend). Even though I probably don't have any right to at this point fromall the waiting I cause you guys, but please keep sending me your reviews as they do help me, I like hearing your opinions on my story as they do help me notice if there are problems, the places I seem to make you happy about or the scenes you dislike. So please send more!
Thank you for your patience and for reading,
