Hey guys! It's 3am here and I'm sorry any typing errors, I just finish this chapter but I didn't want to wait until tomorrow to post. I'd like to apologize since now cause for some reason I can't stop writing intense scenes and... please don't hate me for that. Just remember after all suffer there's happiness. See you in the bottom!
Caroline's POV:
Days passed and my mother was still with us. She didn't say it out loud but I knew she didn't like Klaus and I could see they both were trying to get along. He was gentle with her and seemed grateful for her taking care of me while he wasn't near. For some reason he didn't trust his siblings although Elijah and Rebekah were also keeping their eyes on me all the time while Hayley was traveling to find something about her family.
Everybody seemed happy with the presence of my mother in the house once she made lunch and dinner everyday saying that I should feed right and we always ended having the meal all together as a big family. Elijah and Rebekah really enjoyed these moments.
Klaus rarely was with us, he usually was "was defending the town" and I noticed he was taking advantage of the fact my mother made me company during all day to stay out.
The bad thing about all of this was that my mother didn't let us sleep in the same bedroom. Klaus was very respectful with her and I always tried to be awake until he arrive so we could sneak at each other's room during the night, but as the days were passing I was feeling tired and when he arrived at night I was already sleeping. Although every morning when I woke up there were two roses by my side and sometimes also a drawing.
Klaus's POV:
Every night when I came back home Caroline was already sleeping. I was missing spending time with her but I couldn't let the town burn during the day. Since I took this town back to me, everything bad was happening in it and Marcel was helping me a lot, but he couldn't do everything by himself.
Sometimes I thought about waking Caroline or even meet her on her dreams but I knew she needed to rest and I didn't want bother her. I was doing my best and I decided to stay home during the day and take care of the city during the night to spend more time with her.
But since the first day I exchanged my times I discovered Caroline was sleeping the entire day too. I was upset and one afternoon I was on the couch observing her chest rise and fall with her calm breathing when Rebekah entered the room. She looked me for a few minutes before start talking.
"It's too much for her body all at once. I mean… Turning into a hybrid and getting pregnant. Give her your blood and she will be full of energy again." Rebekah turned around and left the room.
Caroline opened her eyes as soon as my wrist touched her mouth. She closed her fingers holding my arm tightly and I noticed she was very thirsty.
"Dinner's ready" Liz yelled from the kitchen.
I was waiting Caroline release my arm but she didn't stop.
"Easy sweetheart, this way you'll drain me. Just wait a couple hours and I'll give you more" I told her and she nodded, I could see she was desperate for more.
We got up heading to the kitchen and we sat on the table where Elijah, Rebekah and Liz were waiting.
"This is my favorite time of the day" Elijah confessed serving soup.
Actually Elijah wasn't the only one who felt this way. These dinners with everyone on the table together made me remember my childhood when we used to eat as a family. Rebekah smiled and I was sure she was remembering the same thing.
Elijah was telling Liz some story while we were all having soup and I noticed Caroline didn't take her eyes from my wrist. I bit it and filled half glass with my blood, putting it in front of her. She looked me grateful and I smiled.
My siblings and Liz were laughing out loud about the story Elijah finished and I realized how happy I was.
Caroline not only brought happiness to me as she brought happiness to my siblings too.
I waited everyone sleep to go to Caroline's room to give her more blood. I lay by her side and she sank her teeth on my wrist. She drank a lot again and I must have fallen asleep.
I don't know if it was the memories of my childhood or it was just because I was weak with little blood, but my father appeared to disturb my dreams.
I was tied up again and he was hitting me while I screamed for Elijah's help. "Brother, don't let him do this to me!" I yelled in despair. I didn't know what was hurting the most: discover I was a beast or my father's whip against my skin. "Father, please!" I yelled and I closed my eyes wishing all that went away.
I felt a soft hand wiping my tears and a voice made me open my eyes again. "It's ok. It's me, you're safe". Caroline smiled to me and my pain was gone. I was still tied up but she was in front of me, between me and my father.
I smiled back and my father yelled behind her "I'll make you suffer boy!" and he threw his whip on Caroline's back.
I screamed as loud as I could and it hit her but she kept smiling to me. I tried to release myself but it was impossible. "Get out! Run! He'll hit you again!" I screamed to her in despair but she didn't move."CAROLINE! RUN!" I cried out.
"Klaus, it's ok. This is just a dream, I feel nothing." She held my face while my father hit her back repeated times, but she didn't stop smiling to me. "He can't hurt you if you don't let him." She said to me and I calmed myself with her words. My father was fading with his whip and my arm untied itself. I fell on my knees and Caroline held my hands supporting me to get up.
I woke up all sweaty and breathing heavily. Caroline was staring me.
"I'm proud of you" she said.
"Wait… You were really there?"
"You were screaming and I tried to awake you, but you didn't open your eyes. So I entered in your head, you're very weak. My fault, sorry."
"Thank you for saving me." I held her hand and she kissed me.
"Oh, I missed this" she mumbled giving me one more kiss before jumping off the bed. "I forgot to show you something… I'm sorry, my head is a mess. Where did I put it?" She opened a drawer slowly to not make noise and wake up everyone.
She was wearing a very tight shirt and shorts and I only noticed her small belly now because of it. Earlier she was wearing a loose shirt and I wasn't able to see it.
"It is growing, isn't it?" I asked and she glanced at me.
"I thought I was the only one capable of noticing it for now" she took an envelope from the drawer and lay by my side again giving it to me.
I looked her curious and she looked me in the same way, like she was waiting some reaction of me. I opened the envelope and there was my hope. In a picture.
My tiny child in the form of a seed, like a gray spot. My heart was full of joy and I smiled.
"This picture is from some weeks ago, so he is bigger now" she said excited.
"He?" I asked.
"I think it's a boy. I can feel it."
"Are you sure? I think it's a girl, I only smell female hormones in you." I said.
"Those are just mine, I smell it too. It's too soon to smell his."
I wasn't sure about it. Hayley and I were having a girl and she was about the sixth month of pregnancy when Tyler killed the baby, and the hormones I smelled on her were the same I did in Caroline.
I kissed her. "I never thought I could be this happy. Thank you so much for existing for me."
She passed the palm of her hand on my face and I pulled her down to be on top of her, making her laugh out loud. "Shh… You'll wake everyone" I whispered.
"If your screams with your nightmare didn't wake them, they won't wake up now" she laughed more.
"Good to know" I replied.
Caroline's POV:
I woke up by midday and Klaus wasn't home. He left 5 glasses of blood and when I went downstairs I found Rebekah and Hayley talking.
"Good morning girls" I said.
"I'll make your breakfast" Rebekah got up before I could say I would do it by myself.
"How was the trip?" I asked Hayley.
"Good. I found who I was looking for."
"I'm happy for you" I said and she smiled.
"Don't you feel morning sickness? That's good, when I was pregnant of Klaus there was no morning I…"
My mother entered the room and interrupted her "Pregnant of Klaus? Do you have a child together?"
"No, the baby was killed…"
"He killed the baby?! Oh my God! Caroline, you're coming home with me and we're going to Mystic Falls right now!"
I underlined a phrase in Klaus' dream cause that's the same thing he told Caroline when he saved her from Alaric on the third season.
I'd like to remember you when Caroline sing to Matt on 2nd season. That's why I wrote she singing to Klaus on his birthday, so please don't say that's something Caroline would never do.
Hope you liked the chapter, I'm trying to attend all your requests. PLEASE, leave me happy with a review! That's what keeps me writing! Have a lovely week people! :)
