The third part of "The End" arc chapter has arrived and I'm happy to be working on this again. It took me a long while to work on this because of classes. So if the next chapter takes long to update, you guys know why. I appreciate the help for my chapter from my friend and thanks guys for the support of the story.
I'm glad you guys still support and I hope you all like this one. I don't own anything of Teen Titans or anything from the DC Universe. I own only my OCs that have appeared in the story. All right, it's time for the new chapter to begin and enjoy everyone.
The End part III
Abandoned building
Anna broke into one of the buildings that was damaged during one of the many battles the Titans had against a monster a couple of weeks ago. She knew it was a perfect place to hide anything since they weren't schedule to tear it down for another month.
They weren't going to fix it up since it was too damaged and it was unsafe for anyone to use. Luckily for her she found a small path for her to use that is safe and it took her where she can hide her equipment.
After digging up the hole where she would hide her things, she begins to feel nauseas. She drops the shovel she brought and begins throwing up. She gasped for air as her vision begins to go blurry. It was then she noticed her body began to shiver.
She falls on her knees and begins to clench her fists together. She punches the concrete floor and closed her eyes, while she yells at herself mentally to shake it off. Stay together. Don't break apart, not now!
Anna suddenly begins to feel her body calm down and her vision begins to return. Making sure she is okay she grabs the gym bag and pushes it into the hole. Once it was covered, she falls to the floor and rolls to her back. She then looks up at the ceiling breathing heavily.
"Damn, whatever deal Raven made with Trigon must be wearing off," she knew any deal with a demon is never a good thing.
They always added a downside to any deal they make with anyone. Losing your soul is one of them, but the deal not going the way the person wanted it to go is always the case. She has seen it happen to many humans, despite them knowing making a deal with a demon is a bad thing. So she isn't surprise that whatever Trigon did to make her feel better, is starting to wear off.
She then heard some chirping nearby and looks over to see some birds. It made her smile when she saw the white doves looking for food. Suddenly they took off as if something scared them. It was then that Anna noticed the light begins to darken.
Getting up from the floor, she makes her way outside. She sees the sun being blocked out by an eclipse.
"This doesn't look good," she said to herself as she grabs her shovel. "I better get back and find out what is going on."
Titans Tower
The Titans returned to the tower after finding out the prophecy is going to happen today. They headed back home to prepare to defend Raven, knowing Slade will come for her. When they got back they noticed Anna wasn't around. They found a note with her telling them she needed to drop off a package to be send for her friend and will be back soon.
They believed the note and head down to the lower level of the tower. They arrived into a hallway where Cyborg is carrying Raven towards a large door.
"Okay, everyone. Just like we planned," said Robin.
"Where are you taking me?" Raven asked wondering what her friends are planning.
"Remember when Anna helped us upgrade the tower's security in case Slade comes?" he asked getting a nod as a response from Raven. "She gave us more than the tools to protect you."
He placed his hand on a panel as it begins scanning. Once it's complete the door opens and they enter a large room surrounded by symbols. Raven recognized them as the ones from Anna's books. She also noticed the symbol of her medallion on the ceiling.
"You guys did all this, for me?" she asked.
Robin nods in response as he approaches his friend. "We're ready to take on Trigon. Thanks to Anna and the tools she gave us we'll be able to protect you."
"No, you guys can't stop him. No one can," said Raven wanting to keep her deal with her father from the others.
"We're not giving up. Neither are you," Robin began as he helps Raven down. "The plan is simple. Anna told us you are the key to freeing Trigon, but if we keep you here until after midnight then Trigon will remain trap where he is, forever."
"These symbols are designed to keep anything demonic from getting in this room," said Cyborg as he shows a holographic image of the tower. "We also had them be placed around the tower. So if Slade does find a way to get passed us, he won't be able to get in."
"Anna also had us make the same symbol from your medallion to keep the Trigon from getting into your mind," said Starfire as she reveals a book in her hand. "She also taught us some chants to use to protect us from any demonic attack from Slade or the Trigon."
"See? We told you we're ready," said Beastboy who sounds confident in their plan.
"This is great, but it's not going to make a difference," said Raven turning away. "Today the prophecy will be fulfilled. Trigon is coming and there is nothing that can stop him."
"There's never been a villain we couldn't stop before," Robin replied.
"Trigon isn't a villain," Raven answered back. "He is the incarnation of evil, the source of all darkness, the..."
Beastboy interrupts her. "Okay. Bad dude. We get it."
"No. You don't," she replied a little frustrated. "You don't know, Trigon."
"And Trigon doesn't know the Titans," said Robin trying to help cheer his friend up. "Stay here. We'll be watching from up there if you need us."
He points at a broad window high on the wall so they can see her. They begin leaving the room, except for Beastboy who gives Raven the penny he found earlier.
"For luck," he said before taking off with the others.
Raven looks at the penny before letting out a worried sigh. "All the luck in the world won't help us now," she said to herself and begins speaking in her mind when she thought of Anna. Especially if I don't get out of here to save Anna.
Unknown location
Slade is in a cavern kneeling before Trigon with a river of lava in front of him. "The hour is approaching," he said lifting his head. "The army is ready."
"You had best perform," Trigon replied.
Slade gets up. "I'll do my job, as long as Raven's girlfriend stays out of my way."
"She will be no threat to us," Trigon replied. "Right now the poison is starting to slowly weaken her body again. Once Raven sees this she will be reminded of our deal and will honor it to save her."
"Just remember the agreement we made. You better have my payment when I get back." He turns away from the wall and raises both his hands. "Rise!"
Suddenly an army of fire demons appeared from the ground as they march into formation around Slade.
"Bring me the portal!" Trigon ordered his demon forces.
"Warriors! March!" Slade ordered as he begins leading the army towards the tower.
Titan's tower
The Titans are inside the control panel watching through the monitor as Raven sits in the middle of the room, meditating. They checked the time and see they still have a long way to go before the day is over. They look through the monitors for outside and don't see any signs of Slade. It was looking good, but they knew they weren't out of the woods yet.
"So far, everything seems pretty normal," said Cyborg glad things are okay.
"Yep," said Beastboy agreeing with him. "Just you're normal last day on Earth."
"It's no one's last day," said Robin.
"Everything is going to be okay, yes?" Starfire asked towards her friend.
"I hope so," Robin replied.
The door opens and they see Anna is back. "Hey, what did I miss?"
"Where have you been?" Robin asked.
"I asked the question first," she replied when she noticed Raven in the other room. It is then she realized now what is going on. "I thought this wasn't going to happen until nighttime. It's still early."
"I guess Trigon didn't want to wait," Cyborg replied as he pulls up a seat for his friend. "So, what did you leave for your friend?"
"Just some books he wanted me to buy him," Anna sits down in the seat and stares at the monitor. "When did this happen?"
"When we went for a hike," Beastboy replied noticing the concerned look on Anna's face. "You okay?"
Anna nods and tries to smile to reassure her friend. "Do you guys mind if I go down there to talk to her?"
"Later," Robin replied. "We need to go over the defenses in case Slade shows up."
Anna sighed in annoyance. "Fine, let's go over it again then.
Meanwhile Raven is alone with her thoughts trying to figure out a way to get out of the room to save Anna. She knows if she doesn't that Trigon will back down from his deal and kill her. She can't let that happen. If that happens then Anna will die and all of this will be for nothing.
I have to save her. She thought as she looks down at the penny she was given and the medallion around her neck. I know they are trying to keep me safe. But they don't understand that Anna needs protection instead of me.
You are very right about that. Raven soon realizes that the voice is coming from her father, surprising her.
Trigon, how did you? She is soon interrupted by her father.
When you agreed to my deal, I left a part of myself in your mind just in case you try backing down from our deal. Trigon explained as Raven appears in her inner mind. "Just like what you are trying to do right now."
"I can explain," said Raven but then suddenly appears in a cavern where it is surrounded by fire and sees her father appeared.
"There is no stopping what is about to happen," said Trigon. "This is the reason I sired you. You were born so I could rule the Earth. You know it. That is why you made the deal with me."
"I did it to protect Anna!" Raven replied angrily. "And I was not born so you can rule this world or any world. I don't serve you."
"It is not your place to tell me what you are not!" Trigon begins approaching her. "I am the one with all the power! I am the one who decides your destiny! You do not have a choice! You will always be daddy's little girl and that little whore of yours will not stand in my way."
Raven's eyes begin glowing red as she becomes enrage as she fights back against her father. She fires an energy blast at him, but it is stopped by a force shield that surrounds him.
"See? You are like me in every way," he pointed out as he shows her demonic eyes through a reflection. "Like father, like daughter. You wanted to protect your friends from knowing, but you cannot deny the evil within you. You will bring destruction to everything and everyone. You cannot hide from your destiny."
"No!" Raven shouted.
Monitor room
The Titans noticed Raven seems to be struggling. They also noticed that some of the markings around the wall are cracking.
"Anna, what is going on?" Robin asked.
"It's Trigon," Anna replied surprised like the others about this. "Somehow he found a way to get to Raven."
"But how?" Beastboy asked.
"I don't know," she lied guessing there is one way Trigon got passed the spells and power of the medallion. "You need to let me go down there to help her."
"Agreed," said Starfire. "We must assist her."
"She safest if she stays in there," said Robin knowing it is too risky to move Raven.
"Robin's right," said Cyborg agreeing with his friend. "Besides, we've got company."
It is then they hear the alarm and notice someone approaching the tower. Robin knew who it is and turns to the others.
"Let's get out there and stop him from getting in here," as the other Titans took off, Robin turns towards Anna. "Keep an eye on Raven and whatever happens, make sure she stays here."
Anna nods in response and watches as Robin leaves the room. Once she is sure he is gone she turns towards Raven and knows what she has to do.
"It's time we find out the truth."
Outside
Slade appears on the shore of the island as he heads towards the tower. That is until he is stopped by the Titans that appear ready to fight.
"Slade," said Robin as he pulls out two fighting staffs. "We're ready for you."
"No way!" Robin replied.
"You don't really have a choice in the matter," Slade replied. "I'm taking her."
"Oh yeah?" Beastboy asked. "You and what army?"
An army of fire demons appeared around the island outnumbering the heroes. Beastboy lets out a shrill, terrified scream.
"You had to ask, didn't you?" Cyborg asked.
"Attack!" Slade ordered.
Robin leaps over the army and goes to attack Slade. He delivers two blows to Slade, injuring him. He backs away and noticed the staff covered in markings. "I see your little friend gave you something to help you against me."
"Exactly," said Robin as he begins attacking him.
Slade summons a fire sword and begins attacking him. Robin blocks the attack and tries to attack him. Slade dodges an attack and fires him with a fire blast sending him towards the fire demons. They begin attacking him, but he uses his staffs to take them out.
They begin to overpower him as they begin attacking him. Starfire comes in taking them out with her starbolts. Her eyes glow furiously as the demons charge at her. She begins punching them away with the brass knucks that Anna gave her that allowed her to take them out. She begins drawing her energy together to a large size and brings it down wiping away many of the demons.
As she tries to recover, more demons appeared and attack her. Beastboy makes the save as he transforms into the Beast form swiping away the demons. He rips apart many of them, until he I blasted away by a group sending him into the tower. As the demons head towards the door, Cyborg appeared blasting them away.
"No one's getting in here!" he shouted as a circuit panel appeared on his left arm with a black button.
He presses it as two cables pop out from a hidden ports on one side of the tower's base and connect to his back as a large battery power cell appears. One of his shoulder pops open revealing a set of gun muzzles and his chest panel begins changing as his eye implant becomes a targeting scope. A large main gun blaster appears as he begins aiming at Slade.
He begins charging the weapon using the power from the tower. It begins to charge up as he fires the attack at him.
As the smoke begins to clear Cyborg return to normal showing he has lost a lot of power in that attack. The Titans begin to regroup as they wait to see if the attack works. The smoke soon clears up and Slade appears unfazed. More fire demons appeared as they begin attacking the Titans again.
Inside
Raven is on the floor after struggling with her fight against her father. In her mind Trigon continues speaking to her trying to get her to go through with their deal.
You know this is pointless, daughter. He said in her mind showing her what her friends are going through. Your friends cannot stop the inevitable. They are doomed. Do you really want their last day to end like this? How can you bear to watch them suffer?
Please, don't hurt them. She begged not wanting to see her friends suffer anymore.
I am not the one hurting them. You are. He replied as he brings her close to him. You know what must be done. It is the only way to save them from this pain and suffering. It is the only way to save Anna from where she is going.
But, Father…I don't want to. She replied pleadingly. I don't want them to die and I don't want Anna to be saved, if it means you will hurt her.
You cannot hide from your destiny. He replied as he decides to take a different approach. Fulfill your destiny and I will spare Anna. I will spare her from death, but only if you agree to becoming the portal.
Raven looks up at her father knowing that perhaps this may be the only way to save Anna. But before she can reply she hears someone calling out to her.
"Raven," she knows who it is and begins to wake up. "Rae, wake up."
Raven looks up and sees its Anna, who is kneeling down in front of her. She is helped up and begins rubbing her head.
"What happened?" she asked.
"You passed out," Anna replied showing her concerned look on her face. "Are you okay?"
Raven nods in response and noticed the medallion is on the floor. "So much for this helping me out."
Anna nods in agreement and takes the medallion. "Next time I'll make a better one."
It then became silent as Anna stares at her girlfriend, who is staring at the floor still thinking about her decision. It is until Anna begins coughing loudly that Raven turns towards her and sees the blood.
"We need to get you to the infirmary," as she helps Anna up, she begins to sense a change in her. "What?"
"I need you to be honest with me," said Anna as her tone changes to a serious one. "You need to tell me the truth right here, right now before anything else happens."
Raven can tell she is serious and decides to listen to what she has to say. "What is it?"
"Raven, did you make a deal with Trigon?" Anna asked getting a reaction out of Raven. A reaction Anna noticed and could tell what her response will be. "Why? Why would you make a deal with him?"
"I-I don't know," Raven replied not wanting to tell the truth.
"You don't know?" Anna asked upset with her response. "What do you mean you don't know? You don't know why you made a deal with that monster? Are you kidding me?"
Raven really had hoped to avoid this conversation, especially after hearing Anna cough even louder and cough out more blood. "Anna, we need to talk about this later."
She goes to grab Anna's hand, but it's swiped away. "No! We are talking about this right now! How could you do this Raven? How could you give up so easily and hand the world to Trigon?"
Raven sees there is way around this and decides to tell her the truth. "Fine, you want to know? I did it to save you! I made a deal with my father to give you the antidote, in exchange I become the portal. There, now you know!"
This surprised Anna with what the answer is. She knows figures that is the reason why Raven did this, but she had really hope she wouldn't give up the lives of the world to save her.
"And do you believe he will keep his side of the deal?" she asked. "We both know demons don't always keep their end of the deal and will find a way to get around it. Throwing your life away to save mine in the expense of the lives of the people of Earth is not worth it. Please, don't do this. I don't care what happens to me, just don't become the portal."
"Maybe you will be okay with it, but not me," Raven replied as her eyes begin filling with tears. "I don't want to know you are being tormented for eternity in Hell because of me. I can't bear the thought of you suffering while I live."
Anna can see Raven begin to break down as she falls on her knees and tries to wipe away her tears. She kneels down in front of her and brings her in for a hug.
"Rachel, I love you," Anna whispered. "I love you so much that I don't want to see you throw your life away knowing that Trigon will just end up killing me in the end. Think about this. You know the lives of the people and our friends is too important to throw away. I will be okay, just please don't do this."
Raven returns the hug and continues crying. Anna sheds a few tears and holds Raven close not wanting to let her go. They move apart a little so they can give a passionate kiss. The kiss went on for a minute before breaking it and their foreheads connect to one another.
"I love you too," Raven replied as her right hand begins to glow dark. "And that is why I am doing this."
Before Anna can respond, Raven uses her powers to knock her out. She begins to fall, but Raven catches her in her arms. She plants one more kiss on the cheek before using her powers to levitate her.
"I really hope you can forgive me for doing this," she said wiping away a tear. "If you don't, I understand, but know that I will always love you."
She uses her powers to teleport Anna away as she gets up from the floor. Opening the door she sees the penny is on the floor. Using her powers she grabs it and begins looking at it. She closed her hand around it and begins heading out. Please forgive me, I have to do this.
Outside
The Titans continued their fight against the fire demons. Cyborg tries taking down a group of the demons, while Beastboy transformed into a T-Rex and dives into a crowd of them. One demon managed to knock Cyborg down, while a group of the demons begin to pile on Beastboy. Starfire tries using her starbolts to blast them away, but the demons they got the better of her and take her down. Robin like his teammates tried his hand against Slade, but thanks to the demons that took away his weapons he was able to take down the Boy Wonder.
The demons hold the Titans down as Slade approaches them. "Do you really want to spend your last day on Earth fighting?"
"This is not my last day!" Robin shouted as they tried to break free of the grip of the demons.
"I'm afraid it is," said Slade as he motions for the demons to the door of the tower.
The fire demons head towards the tower, but are destroyed the moment they came an inch to it. Slade uses his fire blasts at the tower, but they bounced off and hit some of his demons.
Slade turns towards the Titans, who all have smirks on their faces. "I see you found a way to keep me out. However, it doesn't mean I can't use my powers to take you out."
As he is about to take them out, when they hear Raven yelling. "Stop!"
Raven appears in front of her friends stopping Slade from attacking them and approaches Slade. "I will go with you."
"We won't let them take you!" Robin shouted when he noticed something. "Where is Anna?"
"She's safe," Raven replied in a calm tone.
"You need to get back in the safety room! Please!" Starfire pleaded.
"I can't hide from my destiny any longer," Raven replied as she closed her eyes.
"No!" Beastboy shouted.
Raven uses her powers and attacks her friends causing them to lose conscious.
She approaches Robin and whispers to him. "Goodbye. Be safe and tell Anna, I'm sorry." She then turns towards Slade and speaks in a bitter tone. "Let's go."
All right so the third part is over and now Raven is on her way to become the portal. Will the Titans be able to stop her? Will Anna wherever she is help stop her girlfriend? And what will happen when Slade confronts Trigon about their deal?
Find out next time to see what happens. If you like how this all went then leave some reviews please, but if you didn't like this then don't leave a flame review. Thanks everyone for the support of the story and I hope you like how this went. Take care, be safe, and see you all next time!
