The Walking Dead: Hey Sweet Pea

Episode 4: Amid the Ruins (Part 3) \ Chapter 25

A/N: Hey guys, sorry I couldn't get a chapter out yesterday - I was super busy. Anyways, here's todays chapter.

It had been about almost an hour now since he had just killed Dean. Lee had finally avenged his friend, finally. Vince didn't deserve to go out like that, he wasn't even the one who killed James. Lee couldn't believe how drastically the group had changed since the escape from Carver's. Luke and Sarah barely got out of alive, if it wasn't for Clementine and Pete - they wouldn't have. Sarah's father, Carlos - had died in the escape, she just lost it - from what Lee had heard from Clementine. Pete's nephew, Nick was shot in the shoulder and he was then bitten and Clementine had to put him down. Lee didn't think much of the kid, but his heart was in the right place. Kenny was super angry, just like he was back when Duck had died and Katjaa had killed herself. Sarita was bit, and Clementine cut her arm off - but it wasn't enough. Lee couldn't imagine what it would be like if he chopped off his arm. He probably wouldn't be here if he had done that. Thankfully, the pregnant woman Rebecca made it out alive, but her husband didn't leave Carver's. This plan was risky. The group was a higher number just yesterday - until we lost Alvin, Carlos, Jane, Sammy, Nick, and Sarita. It was a horrible day for the group. Lee had finally gotten his revenge, but still he didn't feel satisified.

Troy surrendered before Lee had killed Dean. He obviously wasn't sorry at what he put us through back at Howe's. He was sitting in the corner of Parker's Run - rubbing his chest to keep himself warm. It was getting a bit cold, and Lee hated the winter. Molly and Wyatt were alive. He was happy for that. Lee didn't understand why Carver had told him that he had killed them. It didn't make any sense.

"You alright?" Molly asked, Wyatt not far behind. Lee nodded, sighing and then looking over to her.

"Just thinking." He said.

"Dude, where's Vince?" Wyatt asked.

"He's dead. Dean killed him." Lee replied, Wyatt gasped. Molly didn't seem very surprised - she had her suspicions since Lee had dodged the question a few times.

"That idiot. He would be alive if he hadn't gone to that stupid place!" Wyatt growled.

"Wyatt, just settle down - he just wanted to help. You can't blame him for that." Molly shook her head, which caused Wyatt to cross his arms, letting out a frown. He had been with Vince for a long time, and him being gone just felt surreal.

"You found her." Molly smiled, looking over to Clementine who was speaking to Rebecca.

"Yeah. I still can't believe it." Lee replied.

"I knew you would." She smiled again, which caused Lee to look at her - she was right. Lee didn't think he was going to find her a few times, and she always said that they would. She was right the whole time.

"What are the odds, man?" Wyatt smirked.

"How about the group, are they cool?" Molly asked.

"Yeah. We lost a few. Kenny lost his girlfriend..." Lee explained.

"Girlfriend? Damn." Wyatt sighed.

"That's tough. You lose your wife and kid first, and now you lose your girlfriend." Molly sighed, Lee nodded.

"He isn't going to like attack us or anything, right?" Wyatt asked.

"He's been like this before. I don't blame him. I heard he was yelling at Clementine before I got here. That pissed me off severely..." Lee said.

"He's just angry, Lee." Molly said. Lee nodded and looked over to Clementine. She talked to everyone with a frown, never a smile. Why was that?

"Why is he even still here?" Wyatt asked, looking at Troy. He was sitting by himself and just didn't seem to pay attention to anyone else. He felt like an outsider, which he absolutely was. He didn't blame the group for not liking him - he understood completely. Lee hated the guy, but he felt kinda sorry for him. The guards were terrified of Carver, what he would do if they did something wrong. Lee had noticed that Troy had done whatever he could NOT to mess up.

The older man, Pete - didn't seem phased by his nephew's death. Maybe he just doesn't take things hard like some people. Lee didn't blame him. You think you get used to it after seeing so many people dying. Lee was used to it. That's what hurt him. That he took it in stride. It didn't phase him. Not one bit.
