25. Day of the Half Moon
"Titan have you been shoving your face into that book all day?" Umbriel asked.
"Before we head to Virgo's moon summit, I have to say that there's something really interesting in here," said Titan.
"Yeah, while we have to help with the damages to the Krusty Krab, but I already know we're going to ignore Mr. Krabs' orders," said Squidward.
"What's so interesting about that book, Titan?" Spongebob asked.
"It's about the history of Pisces Planet, and these few pages I haven't studied yet, I wonder why you have this in your library for all these years," said Titan.
"Yeah, I found it at a local store, it was enough to put it in my collection," said Spongebob.
"It's such a wonder why you have a library in your pineapple home in the first place, but let's get to the real deal of when I was reading through this," Titan continued, "You and your friends don't know about the "Blackhole of Quantonova," but I'm going to make my facts short and to the point."
"That's good, none of us are really in the mood to hear your long amusement lacking fables," said Squidward.
"The Blackhole of Quantonova is a supermassive blackhole placed in any perimeter of outer space that can consume a whole planet, it was stopped light years ago and it might happen again. Taking a closer look, one of the finest heroes of this disaster is no other than Magnus Puck Torrentus," said Titan.
"And that's a big deal, why?" Umbriel said.
"I've done research of Magnus' family tree, Spongebob is at the bottom of it," said Titan.
"If I was drinking some hot tea right now, I would've been astonished to this discovery," said Squidward.
"But what's so special about Spongebob being related to a Pisconarch avenger during that time?" Sandy asked. "Plus, are you telling us that you haven't studied that before?"
"I said I'm being short and straight to the point, if I'm going to make an explanation to this history to an extent, then Spongebob would be the only one interested. I've studied about the blackhole, but I actually never heard of Magnus Torrentus," Titan explained.
"Wow, a hard studier seems to have fallen behind on one detail," said Squidward, "I love irony."
"I guess the history about Magnus must have been discarded into this planet," said Titan, "Now let's go, we can't leave Pisces Planet hanging."
Meanwhile, on Spongebob and co.'s next trip…
"Where are we going, Titan?" Spongebob asked.
"We are going to where Virgo's moon is," said Titan. "That isn't all; we're on the week of the half moon."
"A half moon, how intriguing," Squidward said sarcastically.
"The half moon is where everybody's moon powers are watered down and now at its strongest," said Titan. "The last time it happened was somewhere before I found the first four to our party."
"And where is it, exactly?" Sandy questioned.
"Its downtown, I'm not sure yet," Titan answered.
Somewhere in downtown Bikini Bottom….
"Well, to brighten up my facts, one of my close places around downtown Bikini Bottom is Mrs. Puff's Boating School," said Spongebob.
"Maybe her studies must give us some clues about the Pisces history itself, anybody else want to visit?" Titan said.
"But Mrs. Puff is my driving teacher, not an astronomer," said Spongebob. "But I haven't seen my driving teacher in a long time, so that'll be worth it."
"Hmm, good old Titan," said Squidward.
After a short scene, Spongebob and co. appeared in Mrs. Puff's Boating School.
"Spongebob, you've been absent from my boating class for months!" Mrs. Puff said.
"Wow, she actually cares?" Squidward mumbled.
"I still haven't forgotten about you Squidward," said Mrs. Puff, "Actually, two months without Spongebob in my class was one of my best experiences of my life of teaching. So, who are all of your friends, Spongebob?"
"You know Squidward, and I guess you already met Patrick when he was temporarily in Boating School, the squirrel is Sandy Cheeks, she's Candy, that's Umbriel, and last and certainly not least, this is Titan," Spongebob said.
"Now that you're here, I'm noticing that white mark on your arm," said Mrs. Puff.
"DeoxyDNA that bears moon related powers, go figure," said Titan.
"Yeah, it was nice visiting you, we're off to resume saving the world," said Spongebob.
"Great, and I'll be right here, enjoying myself without you," said Mrs. Puff.
As they exited out of Mrs. Puff's Boating School, Umbriel utters, "That was just pointless, wasn't it?"
"Mrs. Puff is Spongebob's driving teacher after all, but point taken that there's no other eerie reason why we're here," said Titan.
"Yep, let's keep on searching for that Virgo moon, like we care," said Squidward.
"So Spongebob, what else in downtown is one of your finest attractions?" Titan questioned.
"Well, Mrs. Puff's Boating School is why I'm there on a regular basis, the rest of the places I go are just on certain occasions," said Spongebob.
We then lean close to the lighthouse in Mrs. Puff's school, where the inside reveals Phobos and Deimos.
"Looks like they have made a wrong set-back, I guess they won't be finding the summit of Virgo's moon after all," said Deimos, "and that would mean that it's all to ourselves for once."
"Maybe not, since they're not really going to stop pummeling us, I know that we just didn't hire one of our greatest non-extra terrestrial hunters for nothing," said Phobos.
"And who did you exactly find?" Deimos replied.
"It's Sergeant Roderick," Phobos replied. "Perhaps he'll be enough to send those guys our threat."
"As I understand that Titan and the others are here and miles away from us, it doesn't seem too necessary to send Roderick to send them all the way here for our daily duel."
"Let's make a point here: He's not as ridiculous and greedy as Solid Shell. It's such a pity for Sao to be around him."
"Yes I get it; we're sending Roderick over there and maybe we'll have to drag ourselves over to their pinpointed location."
"Your wishes are my command…" said Sgt. Roderick.
Somewhere in downtown Bikini Bottom…
"Well, we did manage to kill off our own time before our powers would activate again, but we still have no luck in finding Virgo's moon," said Titan.
"This is just great," said Squidward, "We've been part of this search party for months and now you're saying you can't find one moon in our inventory to be restored? I'd be happy if something exciting happens, or even something bad."
"I think the problem is that my radar can't seem to read it or something, if that's case the case, then this thing is broken and we'll be really behind on restoring that moon," said Titan.
"Really, that's what's been holding us up?" Squidward said.
"Wait, have we forgotten that Phobos and Deimos are simply going to show up when we're in our Moon Warrior modes? Or to a minority, Yang and Yin," Sandy pointed out.
"Oh, I'd really like that option," said Patrick.
"Maybe you're right Sandy, we'll just have to wait," said Spongebob.
"What are we standing here for? That doesn't mean we can spend the rest of our time doing…whatever Titan wants us to do…" said Umbriel, pausing for a moment. "Uh, any luck yet?"
"I understand your guys' impatience, but we still can't seem to locate it and this darned machine just won't do anything!" Titan said, "It's going to be a drag, but somebody is lurking around and we're not noticing."
"That is correct," Sgt. Roderick said, suddenly from behind.
Spongebob and co. then appear in front of Phobos and Deimos in the summit of Virgo, which was about 300 yards north from the Boating School's lighthouse.
"Where are we?" Candy said.
"Don't you understand? It's a half moon right now and we brought you guys to our duel," said Deimos.
"And it's necessary to drag as all the way here to challenge you both, because…?" Squidward said.
"It's not because we're reserving a spot or anything, we knew you'd come and it wouldn't be the same with our trademark routine, but without the usual support than our regular powers," said Phobos.
"It's fishy, but you both lost several times and we're going to win again anyways," said Umbriel.
"Is that so? We brought back a large amount of energy we need to make our strength from half to the max," said Deimos. "And we got a little special guest."
"I haven't forgotten you sponge," said Sgt. Roderick.
"You hired my old driving instructor?" Spongebob said.
"It's also enough to our advantage, prepare to lose," said Phobos.
The duel begins as Squidward uses his dark blast against Deimos, which was only able to give out a spark. Deimos then uses his epicenter attack, to physically double the damage than before. Umbriel then uses her neutron star attack; one scratch was only given to Phobos as she uses her void attack to sturdily put Umbriel into immobility. Spongebob tries using his brightness tornado against both, but it wasn't able to do much. Deimos launches another epicenter attack as it causes damage as great as it has done to Squidward. Patrick then attempts his big bang attack on Deimos, but Deimos avoids it while Phobos uses her void attack on Patrick, paralyzing him as well.
"This type of situation is quite annoying," said Umbriel.
"I just wonder how my old driving instructor could top things off," said Spongebob.
"You can call me Sergeant Roderick," he said, and attempts a front kick on Spongebob while he was able to avoid it.
As the duel continues, Roderick continues his part and throws several kicks until Spongebob was at least hit. Spongebob then forces a chop for Roderick, suddenly creating moon-related energy for it, hitting Roderick greater than a usual karate chop.
"You're good, but not for long," said Sgt. Roderick, and unexpectedly runs out of the field.
"Such a damn wuss," said Squidward.
"No time, we have some big business to take care of!" Titan said and uses his golden blade to hit both Phobos and Deimos, but not with very excellent damage. "Not even my skilled effort as a Moon Warrior can demolish them that well."
It's time to end this," said Deimos.
Deimos then uses his epicenter attack, to be combined with Phobos' Lunar Tremor attack. While Squidward was using his Lunar Drill and Spongebob was preparing his energy block, the rest of the field duelers were critically damaged, and Spongebob's energy block didn't last long, as he acquired some damage. Squidward then uses his drill attack, but not quite excellent value as usual.
"They're beating us, what are we going to do now?" Patrick asked.
"No more!" A voice said which astonished one of the fellow warriors.
A very bright light illuminates the view, and attracts Phobos, Deimos, and Titan's surprise.
"It's her…let's bail," said Phobos. With that, she and Deimos teleported their way out of the summit while Titan comes over to kneel by the time the bright light faded.
"Who is she?" Candy asked.
"Apologizes for interrupting a strong battle, but my convenience is needed," she said, "I'm known as the maiden of the moon, Cressida, and I'm here to test you all."
"No offense, but what I call a test to interrupt our chances of effort against those two cronies, I call that an excuse," said Squidward.
"You're much filled with pride than you are with your common anger," Cressida said, "But you still have the heart of a warrior."
"Spongebob, Patrick, Sandy, Umbriel, Candy, you've grown well with your skills and training with your moon powers, you've recovered an amount of moons, and there's really nothing negative for me to say about you five, especially Titan."
"So we have had a risky battle, but we got this moon for free anyways?" Titan said.
"Just for this convenience, maybe we'll meet again soon," Cressida finished and went back to Pisces Planet while Titan did his thing.
"Well, I think that means we only have half of the moons left to recover," said Spongebob.
"Right you are Spongebob, right you are," said Titan.
