(Told you I would post another chapter! [And I've been looking forward to this one for a very long time] Thank you Scarletheart15, PikaBolt101, and Snowthewhitewolf for commenting!)

…Warriors…

I looked out at the carnival from outside the gate and back at the entrances clock. 6:45. When will the guys get here? I think. Jack was really awkward about asking me to come; I'm surprised he's late. Well I shouldn't be that surprised. Eric always takes a long time to get read; yet always looks disheveled.

I look out into the parking again to see Jack jogging to the entrance. Anxiety fills his face.

"Hey, hi, hey," he says quickly when he stops next to me. "Sorry I'm late. I couldn't- I didn't- I was…"

"It's no problem," I say as I look back at the parking lot. I don't see Eric, or Jared, or anyone else.

Weird, I think. I guess they'll meet up later.

We turn to the entrance and I reach into my pocket to give the teller money. I reach into my pocket to find… nothing. Foxdung! I forgot to ask Angie for money!

"What are you doing?" asks Jack as he hands the teller money. "Don't worry about it. I'll pay for you." I let out a sigh of relief. He must have noticed how nervous I was. I forgot that I have to worry about money now.

When we walk in the first thing I smell is the sweet smell of kettle corn and funnel cake. It's just like when I was a kid, I think.

"What would you like to do first?" he asks.

I look straight ahead at The Rocket. My parents would never let me on that rollercoaster when I was a kid.

"We're going on that!" I grab his hand and run toward the rollercoaster. This is even better than when I was a kid!

…Warriors…

After a few more rides we get cotton candy.

I wonder where everyone is. I think. I look up at Jack to see him staring down at me a weird look on his face. I probably shouldn't push it. He seems nervous about it too.

We walk around to see a few carnival games. I see a little girl and her father playing the Water Gun Race. The girl is too young to operate the machine so her father is angling for her. The bell rings and she wins. She jumps up and downs saying "I did it! I did it," with no idea that her father did it all for her. A wave of sadness washes over me. My dad and I used to play that, I think. He would always lose on purpose to let me win.

"Let's play the water gun game," Jack says and starts walking toward the stand. I really don't want to, but Jack wants to so I might as well play.

Jack hands the man a ticket for each of us and we get ready.

The bell goes off and we fire. After a minute or so the winner's bell goes off. I look up to see the flashing lights are from my target. I won! The man points the wall and asks what toy I would like. Brown dog and gray cat stuffed animals line the wall.

I look over at Jack. He puts his hands in his pockets and says, "Good job," with a cheeky smile. I look back to see the dogs are the same shade as his hair.

"I'll take the dog!" I say and the man hands one to me. "Thank you! Look, Jack." I hold the dog up to his head. "It looks just like you!"

I laugh and notice a basketball table at the next stand.

"Oh- um…"

"What?" I ask. His face turns bright red.

"Nothing! Let's play basketball."

"That's just what I was thinking! Bet you I'll beat you!"

His shoulders relax a bit and he smiles. "Never!" and he takes off.

"We'll just have to see about that!" I say as I run after him.

…Warriors…

We managed to spend an hour playing basketball. After five minutes it was obvious there would be no winner. We basically would try to make the other one mess up by making them laugh or in some cases jumping on their backs and grabbing the ball.

The rest of the night we tried to ride every ride and play every game. It was 11:45 and we only had one thing left: the Farris wheel.

We'll never get on, I think. There's always a huge line and we only have 15 minutes until the carnival closes. I look over to see a surprising sight. There are only three people in line.

"We have to ride the Farris wheel!" I say and grab his hand. We run over to the Farris wheel. The three people get into a blue car, the ride moves, and they strap us into the ride.

"Why are you so eager to get up here?" he asks with a quizzical smile.

"It's always so busy I've never- I mean, it just seems like the perfect way to end the night."

His smile widens, "I completely agree."

The wheel starts to move up and we see more and more of the land around us. Trees dot the midnight landscape with bright buildings filling in the extra room. Moonlight fills our red car- a full moon.

Tonight is the night of the gathering, I think sadly. And I forgot. How could I possibly forget something so important? I've been gone for a whole moon. Lionblaze is probably the new leader: Lionstar- just like the time of the Great Clans. He's the best thing for the clan. I mean, he's an actual cat; a cat with a great prophecy about him. Everyone's probably moved on- everyone is just… gone. And there is nothing I can do.

I lean back to feel Jacks arm around me. I jump in surprise and look up at him.

Apparently he has been talking because I hear the last thing he says, "…you can feel it too."

I freeze as his hand touches my faces and he moves his head closer to mine.

Wait! What is going on?! I can't do this I have a mate! Do I still? The thought brings tears to my eyes, but shocks me out of my frozen state.

I take the dog I won and whack him across the face with it. One of its eyes hits his cheek and he quickly grabs it in surprise. "Stop! I have a boyfriend!" I scream. I stand up and yell down the machine's operators. "Help! Get me off of here! I need to get off!"

Jack's big helpless eyes grow even wider as he lets go of his cheek. A big red mark is left where the eye hit him, "boy- boyfriend?!" he says the word in complete disbelief.

"Yes, and I love him," I feel the ride moving faster, the holy ground coming closer. "And I shouldn't be here with you. I should be trying to get back to him and my clan. I was never meant to be here. I need them."

The ride reaches the ground and I jump out of the car, not looking back.

I cannot keep living this human life- I'm a cat. I need to find my home.

(Thank you so much for reading! I've wanted to write this chapter for a while and I'm so happy to finally have written it. I might go back and rewrite the entire thing [not the ending] though. Maybe make it flow better. I don't know. The next chapter is going to be this night, but in Jack's POV. I think that would be [and is] very interesting. Remember to R&R)
