You're going to die.

Jinx blinked back her tears, screaming at the top of her lungs, fighting back as hard as she could but failing miserably. Her spindly legs kicked out pathetically as she struggled against those rough hands, her head being jerked around painfully.

They're going to die.

She shrieked against the gag in her mouth, feeling her tears soak into the cotton binding in her mouth, swelling up until she couldn't breathe. Her hands were bound, her eyes were bulging, and she was aching to get free, to run to the kids.

The kids are going to die.

The kids were curled into a small circle, their mouth's open in loud gaping screams that were drowned out by the blaring noise. Their tears were highlighted from the red lights, streaked down their faces in utter terror. Guns were pointed to their little heads; the guards' not even flinching as they waited for command. The room was utterly still, despite the loud alarm noises that still echoed through the building.

Jinx stared at Creep, her pink eyes filled to the brim with utter burning disgust. She couldn't talk through the gag stuffed into her mouth, pushing her tongue into the back of her throat. But even if she could talk- there weren't any words to describe how much hatred and contempt she felt for him. Creep stared back at her, his eyes alight for the first time they had met. For once, she could see a semblance of expression in those light purple pupils, dilated from the adrenaline and at the prospect of a kill.

He wasn't any different than the rest of them. Creep, or whatever his name was: Agent 24. It didn't matter now, did it? He was one of Slade's followers, his lackeys, the minions that mindlessly followed the orders of their master.

This was all just an order. A mission. Jinx and the children were never truly free on this island were they? Was this just a giant plot? From the very beginning, were they doomed to land on this hellish island and captured?

She stared at him, glaring at him hard with her eyes. The screams had left her throat ragged and raw, and now she couldn't scream even if she wanted to. Now all she could do was stare at him with all the emotion she could muster, avoiding looking at the children. There was the terrible, gut-wrenching fear that had settled in the pit of her stomach. One didn't need to be part of Slade's army to figure out what was going to happen next.

A messy, bloody, very slow and torturous execution.

Creep leaned forwards into her, probably smiling behind his black mask. "It's come to this. I would say I'm sorry, but I'm not."

Jinx glared at him, feeling a hand on her arm clamp even harder.

"I just have one final thing to say to you before the end, my dear Jinx." Creep said softly. Jinx heard the sound of a gun being cocked, and then she saw the large machine gun slung over the man's shoulder, loaded with a lot of rounds and ridges, ready to annihilate her to the floor.

She didn't flinch, she merely stared at him with a hard gaze.

Don't look at the Titans. Don't look at their final end.

I'm sorry..

"Have you missed me?" Creep whispered, the voice low and quiet, for one split second: female.

Jinx made a confused grunting noise as she flinched back, her pink eyes flashing.

And before she could even process what Creep had said, hell went loose.

Creep whipped out the machine gun hooked to his back and pointed it straight at her head, as though he was about to blow Jinx's head off. And the gun fired with an explosive sound. But instead of a bullet going through her skull, Jinx felt the metal whizz right past her head and into the man on the right of her, his grip loosened as he was killed instantly. Then the man on his left was next, a loud cry coming from his lips as he fell backwards in a pool of his own blood.

Now free, Jinx sprang to her feet and ran towards the children, still wrapped in a tight circle of guards. Creep spun around and shot down the guards surrounding the children, the men dropping to the floor like flies. The alarms were still blaring, and men dressed in all black were running towards them with their guns out and shooting at them; shooting at Creep.

Jinx dove and wrapped the crying trembling children in her arms, not wasting her time as she dragged them to the jet still lying beside them. She jerked open the door and shoved them inside by their rear ends- Cyborg first with Beast Boy attached to his shoulder, screaming like an infant. Robin was next, and then Starfire. Jinx felt her panic overwhelm her as the kids scuttled into the backseat, hiding behind the new seats.

She was just about to go into the jet herself and start the damned thing to take off, when she felt rough hands grabbing at her waist and pulling her back.

The sound of Robin's scream was blood curdling as she was yanked out of the jet, her hand scraping against the door as she desperately tried to escape.

Jinx shrieked against her gag, realizing that she hadn't taken it off yet. She came face to face with a man in a black mask, the eyes glowing red. Without a second of hesitation, she pushed off of the man's body and flipped into the air, landing on the ground behind him with a loud thump, her legs crumpling underneath her with a graceless crunch.

Her leg! Oh god, her leg! Jinx attempted to get back onto her feet, seeing the small trickle of blood start to pour from the wound. A jagged piece of white bone stuck out from the black suit she wore, the cloth torn and stained red with thick blood. She started to limp backwards, trying to avoid the man she had just jumped off of.

The man turned and before she could react, had a small dagger in his hands. It came towards her, the blade glinting in the red light.

"Kill them!" A loud voice screamed over the intercom, making Jinx clutch at her ears in pain. "KILL THEM ALL! EXTERMINATE THE TRAITOR! THE SINNER!"

The guard just turned around and advanced towards her, seeming as though he was amused by her pathetic efforts to escape him. Jinx punched at the man in front of her, avoiding the painful blade from scraping against her skin. The hit was weak, it barely pushed him back, but it was enough to get him away from her. She couldn't kick at him, her one leg was much too weak and the other one had a fucking bone sticking out of it.

The man moved with grace, unfazed by her pathetic little punch, and just swung the dagger again. There was the sound of a loud explosion behind her ear, and blood suddenly sprayed from his eye and Jinx let out a muffled cry, her voice hoarse from the screaming earlier. The guard crumbled to the ground, blood pooling from his head.

She spun around the best she could on one leg and saw Creep with his machine gun still cocked in his hand, the purple eyes wide with adrenaline and pure fucking joy.

He hasn't betrayed you..

Jinx reached for the gag around her mouth and pulled it out, the cotton gag hanging around her neck like a necklace. Ripping it off, she threw it onto the ground. Another scream escaped her as she heard bullets whizzing around her head, her arms up in her defense. She wasn't hit- not yet, but her luck was going to run out sooner or later.

"Come on, Creep!" she screamed, unable to do anything else. There were too many of Slade's guards, starting to swarm into the room like flies on rotting meat. Slade himself wasn't there yet, but his screaming voice over the intercom didn't sound as though he was pleased. He sounded infuriated, as though he was going to rip apart Jinx and the children themselves.

"BRING THEM DOWN! BRING THEM ALL DOWN!"

Creep turned towards her in slow motion, running away from the mass horde of guards starting to swarm towards them, his machine gun still slung over his shoulder as he ran.

Bullets started to fly towards them, bouncing off of the jet's metal casing and off the floors, even getting into the walls. They were everywhere, going past their heads and clothing, nearly hitting Jinx's arm twice in a row. She was moving too slow, much too slow, because of the bone sticking out of her lower leg. Creep simply picked her up and slung her over his shoulder as though she was the machine gun.

Jinx let out a cry as her leg hit Creep's running body, the bone jutting excruciatingly against the bloody tissue. She could feel her blood start to drain from the broken skin, puddling onto the floor in streaks as Creep ran from the middle of the room to the jet, the door still wide open and the Titan children still inside, hiding from the monsters.

"YOU WILL ALL DIE! MISERABLE TRAITOR!"

And then, Jinx heard a loud scream, and then she felt the sensation of falling. She felt the hard floor pound the side of her body, and she screamed.

Through her blurred and spotting vision, she saw Creep only a few feet away from her, holding his shoulder. Something was trickling through the black cloth and dripping onto the floor. It was blood, mixing in with the puddles on the floor, creating a red and black smear on the marble tile. He had been shot in the shoulder, the machine guns shooting too rapidly for him to escape them.

Jinx let out a groan and held her leg, feeling the sharp bone cut into her hands. God, this turned into shit too fast. She could hear the pounding of the footsteps just right behind her; the guards ran fast and swiftly, their weapons still nearly fully loaded.

They were goners, weren't they?

A loud roar split the air, even louder than the blaring alarms and Slade's screaming voice. It was the sound of some inhumane animal, some kind of beastly creature that Jinx hadn't even heard of. It sounded horrifying. Jinx dared to look in the direction in which the earsplitting sound came, ripping her gaze away from the collapsed Creep on the ground.

She nearly cried at the sight.

It was a T-Rex. A green T-Rex, to be exact.

It roared again, this time even louder than the first time, causing the floor to shake violently underneath them all. The horde of guards stopped in their places, as though frozen with fear, and then they pointed their guns at the dinosaur.

Jinx slowly got to her feet, grunting and gasping as she moved past Creep and towards the jet. Beast Boy was taking care of himself, he easily stepped on the guards and ignored the bullets. He let out another roar and moved quickly, running fast through the room and through the walls. Slade's intercom slowly cut out, static taking over it as Beast Boy's mouth ravaged the wires. Even the alarms started to die down; the only sound left was the sounds of machine guns firing.

She fell back on the ground, a soft whimper escaping her as she tried to crawl to the jet. She was almost there, she was so close. There was still a chance.

But she was losing too much blood. Jinx extended her hand out to the jet, to the wall, attempting to have her powers flow through her fingers like it did once before. There was nothing. Utterly nothing. Jinx slammed her fist onto the ground, crying out in frustration. She could feel her body sluggishly giving up, her consciousness slowly fading from the loss of blood and the amount of pain rushing up her leg, nearly rendering her useless.

"Titan!"

Jinx slowly looked up, her face streaked with red from the ground, and saw a blurry small figure in front of her. Was it speaking to her? She couldn't tell.

"Titan go! Titan goz!"

Jinx felt something lift her up, a pair of small little arms. She felt her broken leg dragging on the ground, but she was too weak to even cry out. It seemed to last forever, until someone stronger had lifted her up, someone with hard armor and something wet splashed onto them.

The roaring of the T-Rex continued, along with the gunshots. But they were lessening, the rounds becoming less frequent. Red light still bathed everything, making the puddles of blood on the ground look like fruit punch. Jinx scrabbled distantly at whatever she could hang onto, her weak arms clutching at who was holding her. It wasn't the little arms anymore.

Raven.. Please help me, Rae..

"'Urry, Starfire! Jink hurts!"

There was the sound of faint explosions, and a whirring noise. It sounded as though something was being thrown into the air; similar to the sound of airborne Frisbees.

"I hurry! Cyborg start the fly-thing! It on? Hurry hurry!"

A loud blast rocked Jinx's mind, and she could barely see anything anymore. There was a lot of smoke. Distantly, she wondered if there was a fire.

"Yo, it on! I git it on! C'mon everyones!"

I'm not you, Raven. I'm not a hero. I couldn't save you..

"Jink! Rwobin.. is she okayz? Her leg.. her leg gross..."

She was set down on something. It smelled like fresh leather.

"You dwive. Do you knows how to dwive a fly Beast Boy?"

"... No."

Jinx was crying now, sure that she was dying, and this was her hell. She felt so cold, and she knew she was shivering. Her leg was numbed now; at least she couldn't feel the pain anymore. She wasn't scared for herself: she wondered where the kids were. The voices around her terrified her: she was crazy. She was truly insane now.

Bowing down to the hands of Slade, forever in his debt.

The roaring had stopped. The gunfire. The alarms and the intercom voice and all that static. There was a violent movement, and Jinx felt her stomach lurch at the prospect of moving, but she couldn't open her eyes. Soft voices surrounded her.

Jinx screamed out in a terrifying plea, to spare the children once more, to help protect them. A curse put upon Creep; that little asshole. But he had tried to save them all in the end.. even if it failed.

A comforting hand was put on her hot forehead, and Jinx welcomed the gesture, even if it meant that she was going to feel immense pain afterward. It was a soft little hand, and it reminded her of the woman who used to take care of her at the orphanage. The thought of children made her eyes prickle with tears, and she could feel them slide down her face and burning the little cuts that was embedded into her skin. Oh, Robin. Starfire. Beast Boy. Cyborg..

Gone.. Gone..

"Raven.." she muttered thickly, crying out. Her powers were gone now, stolen from Slade's technology. Everything now, truly, had been taken away from her.

The good in the world snuffed out by evil.

They are all dead...

"Raven.. oh god.. Please.. don't leave me..."

Raven wasn't there.

Raven was dead.

"I'm sorry!" she screamed out, her voice breaking in the middle of the sentence. Death seemed like a welcome now; to end the agonizing pain. "Raven! Titans! The Titans! Raven.. no.. No... No.. I-"

She gasped, a horrible raspy noise from crying and screaming. "I-I'm sorry.."

Before she slipped off into unconsciousness, Jinx heard Raven's voice. It was a voice that she had thought she would never hear again. Even through the midst of her insanity and torture, she was relieved to hear such a soothing familiar tone before she was taken back to hell.

"Don't be sorry, Jinx. I'm right here."
