May awoke to the pounding of rain against what must have been the top of the building. It must have been extremely heavy if she were hearing from all the way in Archie's room. Turning behind her she saw Archie fast asleep, she must have knocked out from exhaustion as she didn't even remember going to bed. Grabbing her blue bag she yawned stretching out her arms. Still not ready to get up she trudged herself forward anyway and pulled a brush out of her backpack. Her hair had felt tangled and unkempt, so she decided to give it a quick brush to feel better.

On the couch behind her she could hear Archie grumbling with disturbance. May pulled the knots out of her honey colored hair and turned around to see if he was awake. His eyes were barely open in a blur, he appeared to exhausted in every shape a form. Unlike May he probably wasn't much of a morning person, of course he also had the luxury of being a team boss who didn't really have to wake up at a certain time. That is however now that he doesn't really have much else to do but sit around. She found herself wondering if he woke early on the days when he had been chasing Kyogre.

The man blinked a few times and then rubbed his blue eyes. He did seem sort of adorable when he was groggy like this, but May sure wasn't going to say so. Rising off of the couch he stretched his arms into the air in an over exaggerated way. It almost seemed as if everything he did was in a dramatic action, he truly had no reserve, but at least he was more honest than most people. Archie sent a smile towards May that was one of comfort and joy, her heart softened at the sight of it.

He reached his arms out and bear hugged May, "Good morning my little scamp!"

The girl hugged him back without needing to say anything. Releasing she gazed at him with a tiny grin, he made her feel relieved and at peace. Again he yawned loudly like a roaring Slakoth, he paced around as if he was waiting for something. Perhaps he had been afraid of overstepping a boundary, such hold back from an expressive man she had to admit was impressive.

Archie continued to circle around, "So what's on yer' to do list today?"

"Not to sure, sounds like it's raining outside though" May answered while adjusting her head scarf, "Might go around looking for trouble!"

He raised a brow out her, "Wandering around in the rain, you'll get sick!"

"Oh please, I'm sure you probably do it all the time. I'll be fine!" The girl laughed at him as she stretched out her body.

"I guess ye' do have a point!" Archie chuckled back crossing his arms.

She adjusted her pack to be ready for travel, "I shouldn't be gone very long, I'll probably be back here in a flinch!"

"Uhm May...?" The man gazed at her as if to stop her.

Turning her attention to Archie she cocked her head at him like a playful Poochyena. Stepping closer to her he seemed to loom over her, causing May to be forced to gaze upwards at him. The closeness of his body caused a heated warmth between them, her heart began to beat faster as if to be longing. It hadn't even been so long ago that she had loved him, and kissed him. Yet know it almost felt like they were so far apart, she desired to rekindle that fire she known.

"Yes, what's up?" She sang sweetly staring up at him.

His blue eyes glistened, "I don't mean to intrude but-"

"Am I done with Maxie? Yes I am, I left him that's all" May confirmed to him as if she could read his mind.

Archie's face lit up in a sly way, "So would it be wrong to ask you to be mine?"

May froze into place as if she had been shocked by lightening, despite being in tune with his emotions she was nervous. A piece of her wanted to reserve if she changed her mind, but at the same time she believed she was finished. The thought of seeing Maxie ever again made her sick, she was certain she was in love but this time around was much more afraid.

Hesitating she began to blush, "Uh no it wouldn't, I would very much like that."

Archie kissed her gently on the cheek passionately, as if he had been waiting forever just to hear the words. As May had believed though, he had been waiting all this time just to hear her say it. He kissed again on her lips more intensely this time, closing her into his embrace. Wrapping her arms around his neck she kissed back and for awhile lived in the moment. Close to her ear she could feel a hot breath telling her that he had loved her.

In what seemed to be seconds flat they were on the couch together, absorbed into each others love. Full of restless desire they caressed each other into the day. The rain pelted harder against the roof as time passed, and the couple were brought into a peace. May cuddled into his side pressed warmly against him, his body was so cozy against hers. Archie kissed her gently on the forehead once more and she sighed happily.

"I've been waiting so long for that" Archie chuckled resting his head next to hers.

It wasn't long until she was off again on her adventuring, but Archie had felt so much better anyway. So much time spent that he had watched his love in the arms of his enemy, and now she was his. A devilish smirk ran across his face as he sat on the edge of the base entrance, his legs dipped into the deep water below.

The stench of salt water and fresh rain drifted to his nose, the kind of smell that always seemed soothing to him. It wasn't all that often he enjoyed taking some time to himself, but at the moment Archie had been carefree without a worry. A desolate sound of a repeating water droplet echoed through the cave like entrance. It had been a very long time since he had known the inflamed passion that he once knew so long ago.

Suddenly he heard footsteps echoing to his direction, his eyes shot quickly behind him. Maurice casually walked in with his blonde hair scraggly as ever. Archie could see a devious stare coming out of him, it was apparent that he had something to say. Rubbing his forehead he pulled his legs out of the water and stood to face the boy.

With a wide grin Maurice greeted him, "Well, well, well, looks like someone got lucky!"

"What are you talking about?" Archie asked in oblivious manner, "Why are ye' looking so smug?"

The younger male shook his head with laughter, "Everyone knows about your encounter with that lady of yours, I could hear you all the way down the hall."

Suddenly Archie's face went red, "What do you mean heard?"

"Come on seriously? This morning?" Maurice barraged him with the accusation.

"Whatever happens in my room is my business!" The man crossed his arms in defense.

The boy shrugged sitting at the edge of the water, "Hey it's fine I'm sure no one will even mention it anyway!"

"Right, like you?" Archie hissed at him sarcastically still standing.

"Listen man, I told you it would all be fine! Everything is good, and your face tells me you're in a much better mood" Maurice told him as if he knew everything.

Archie rolled his eyes in disgust while walking away, "Of course, come on now before ye' get on my nerves!"

Maxie had been everywhere he could think, many others observed him as he frantically ran about. They must have thought he was a lunatic, he was a fiery mess of fear and anxiety. This was something he never usually displayed in front of others, but he felt dreadfully desperate. Now he had finally gave up, he began to head towards the dryer part of the island.

His eyes were giving on him, and his clothes were nowhere near what he needed for perfection. Losing May had done a deal on him, he didn't even know why he bothered chasing after her. It was clear in her notion that she was done with him, but his broken heart caused him to do the exact opposite. It had been so very long that he had ever been such a distraught creature, he hided his emotion in a dark void for a long time but it was finally catching up on him.

Climbing up the hill he could feel the dreaded rain pelt his hair and coat, he hated the rain. As much as he hated rain, he also hated thunder which happened to noise every so often making his heart jump every time. Cursing under his breath he walked through the muddy rocks and such to the top of Jagged Pass where his helicopter had been waiting. The steep hill made him lose all of his energy and drive, in this he decided to stop for a moment leaning down at the ground.

Gazing down the slope he saw something in the distance, a person perhaps. Curious he narrowed his eyes to hopefully see the person better. Recognizing first the honey hair and then the red scarf his heart leaped, it was May. In a desperate sprint he tripped down the steep hill attempting to catch up with her, it was the only hope he had. She hadn't noticed him yet, but she seemed so content.

Stopping for a moment he contemplated if he should really talk to her, she seemed just fine without him. A sickness boiled in his stomach making him want to throw up, he had been so worried but she was fine. The thought replayed to him, Maxie didn't like the idea of grasping her being just fine without him. It wasn't fair, Maxie was an utter wreck when she left.

Breaking away his thoughts he yelled, "May!"
