I'll be focusing on this story for a bit and get as many chapters done as possible over the next month. There's still a bit to go but I have the plot planned out and will be going along with it. Thanks to those who have reviewed and continue to read on. Hope you all enjoy.
The area was swamped with police and investigators as they tried to figure out what and who caused the death of an entire gang, leaving nothing behind other than a blood bath and crippled bodies. It was a mystery and they were determined to solve it. James and Richard had been out at that time and were now in hiding not wanting to get themselves involved. Of course James was pissed that everything he had worked for was gone and that his only son was among the dead. He was always good at not showing his emotions but Richard knew him too well and could tell his old friend was deeply heartbroken. All he could say was 'I'm sorry,' but that was all. Both were hiding out in the shed where they planned on remaining until things cooled off. The owner of the repo would say nothing and it was going to be kept like that, at least they hoped. James had gone out for a walk to clear his head while Richard tinkered with a few gizmos from the scrap pile, and not before long there was a quick knock at the garage door. He kept his defence up as he went to open it while holding a crow bar in his other hand. He unlatched the door and peaked out only to see a scared shit kid, and not just any kid, it was Lucas.
"You survived," Richard murmured without care. "What are you doing here?"
"P-please man, just let me the fuck in!" Lucas trembled as he tried pushing his way pass Richard, who in return prevented him from entering.
"Why would I want an annoying prick like you in my dorm?"
"Come on man! I have nowhere else to go. Please I'll talk; I'll give you anything I don't care, just please!"
"Settle the fuck down before you piss yourself." He let him in and he wasn't even sure himself why he did.
Lucas tripped passed him and sat down in the closest chair. Richard watched as he fumbled to get a cigarette out and tried lighting it with shaking hands. The kid looked like he'd been through hell and back. He watched him with careful eyes in silence, and it wasn't long before James has returned, making Lucas jump in his seat and look on in horror at who had entered, like that someone was after him, but who?
"Calm the fuck down why don't ya?" Richard approached James to gain in small talk. James was surprised to see the boy here and wanted answers.
"What's the little shit doing here?"
"He survived," Richard bluntly said. "And our new friend says he'll tell us everything from that night. This will be our only chance to figure out what happened." He got the feeling James will want to go after whoever did it and he wouldn't stop him.
James gave him a 'You bet I do' look and calmly approached Lucas before sitting down in front of him. "Alright boy, I want to know every detail."
Lucas had cuts and bruises all over him, his eyes bloodshot from the lack of sleep and wearing the same torn and bloody clothes from that very night. He took a deep buff from his fag and closed his eyes as he went over the events from that very night, and try to figure out how he was going to tell him what he saw. He wasn't even sure himself from what he witnessed.
James gave an impatient growl. "I'm waiting boy."
"S-she…she's fucking alive." James frowned deeply at him.
"Who?
"Sarah…"
Richard lunged forward and slammed him into the wall with his hands fisted into his jacket. "Stop bullshitting! Her body was found it's not possible."
"I'm not I swear it! She just showed up looking pissed and out of fucking nowhere a giant robot killed everyone!" It was no surprise that they both didn't buy it, James even laughed about it.
"You boy have finally lost your fucking mind!" It was no laughing matter for Richard though.
"She was there, it's the truth. I don't know how else to tell you, please, I'm telling the truth!"
Richard flared his nostrils heavily and fought the nerve to punch the living shit out of him for saying such a thing. Agent Fowler told him her body was found, that she was dead, so why did Lucas believe she just showed up?
"The more you lie the harder you're making this for yourself." He got ready to punch him until he bled, his old self was coming out and nothing was going to hold him back.
"N-no please look I have it here!" Lucas fumbled into the back of his pocket and got out his mobile. With shaky hands he played what he recorded from that very night and showed it to him.
It was shaky, the image thrown from side to side before finally having it stilled and focused on what Richard didn't believe to be possible. There stood his little girl who wasn't little anymore, but instead she was a woman, grown and matured since the last memory he had of her. He let go of Lucas and took the phone from him as he watched the video play. She looked alive, more than better he thought, and carefully rubbed his thumb over the image of her as if he was touching her for real. James came up behind him and saw what Lucas has said he saw.
"I thought you said she was dead, that's what you'll told, right?" It wasn't a question, more of a reminder.
Fowler had lied to him he knew about that but he didn't understand why he would tell him his only child was dead. It might've been possible she was under his protection, or something else that he wanted explained. The recording was poor but was enough to see what had happened next. The figure of Sarah had disappeared in thin air, right before the room exploded in flames and the crackled screams echoed over the speaker. What Lucas had said was true much to their disbelief, for what they saw next was a giant metal being throwing itself into the rubble right before the footage ended. Richard and James could only stare at the blank screen as they thought over what they had just witnessed. This was hard evidence on what happened that night but it was insane to believe any of it. Lucas had sat on the ground and curled up into a ball like a frightened child as he buffed at his fag repeatedly.
"What the fuck did I just see?" James now questioned, looking at both Richard and Lucas expecting some sort of answer.
"You saw it man, you fucking saw it….." Lucas didn't want to think about it anymore and just crawl into a dark hole and remain there.
Sarah was alive…at least that was what it looked like. However Richard was angry that he was lied to and wanted answers, and there was only one person who he was going to get that from. Without saying anything he headed out of the shed.
"Rick, where you going?"
"I need to find someone. I'll be back."
Knockout had delivered just what she wanted in that one overnight experience together. Never had for felt so attached to him or craved for his touch, it was like she was a totally difference person the second they both entered their room together. She didn't care though, and the only thing that mattered was his skilled servos and glossa, and his perfect cable that brought pure pleasure through her body. It was all unexpected, but she was grateful it happened.
She lay curled up against Knockut's side, legs tangled and head resting on his shoulder plating as her digits circled around his chest. He let out a pleased moan followed by a light chuckle before he pulled her up on top of him more and held her close. "You are beyond exquisite." She could only hum in response and nuzzle into him more. "And last night wasn't what I expected, rather delightful I should say. I hope it won't be the last." Another hum was sounded by her, a little deeper than the first. "I haven't seen this side of you before, but I should say I rather like it." He only got another hum and it was enough to make him online his optics and glance down at her. "Is there something on your mind?"
"I just haven't felt something like this before; I don't want it to end."
"Neither do I," he chuckled lightly. "Though eventually we'll have to leave the room and carry on with our duties. I'll give you as much as I can for you to keep yourself occupied in the medic bay."
"I'm still surprised Megatron didn't kill me after everything that's happened." The very thought had kept coming to mind but thanks to Knockout's distraction she was able to keep her thoughts occupied on other things, until that moment that was.
"Let's not talk about it. Move on from those events and carry on, understood?" Knockout wanted to keep those thoughts avoided as much as possible.
She ran the tip of her fingers along the lining of him arm, lost in the moment and relishing the comfort given. There were thoughts that she had been curios about but wasn't sure what to expect from the answer, and so she decided to go with her gut feeling, or whatever machine worked inside her, and asked him.
"How did you change me? You know, from human to machine, the details about it." Knockout had wondered if she was ever going to ask him and never really thought about how he was going to respond to such a question, and so he just went with it.
"Well, we cybertronions have a spark. The spark is the life force, our soul, and our memories. Each individual spark is part of the essence of Primus himself. As long as the spark is intact, it is possible to repair or rebuild the body and restore the spark to it. Let's say if one was badly damaged the spark either returns to the afterlife in the well of all sparks or if lucky get an upgrade."
"So, my spark belonged to someone else?" She felt shocked knowing that.
"Yes and many more before. I designed your body myself and all it needed was a spark to make it activated." Something didn't add up though.
"But humans don't have sparks, why did you need me?" This was the part Knockout wasn't sure how she was going to react.
"I'll be honestly, I never needed you." She sat up quickly and stared at him in disbelief.
"You didn't need me?" She sounded angry even though she didn't feel like it but was rather more shocked to hear it. "I-I don't understand, if you didn't need me than why am I here?"
"Because I wanted someone with their own personality not a mindless drone, and I figured extracting human's memories into a spark was my best shot. I convinced Megatron to allow me to continue with the project. Then that night when you and I were in that little mishap I saw my opportunity and I figured everybody wins, didn't feel right to just leave you there. Your mind still lives on in another life, this life, and I believe I did the right thing."
She wasn't sure how to feel. Maybe angry? Possibly touched? To know that he had some sort of affection that very fatal night, and that he could possibly have a good side to him when it comes to other lives, just maybe that was. She then thought about the humour side of it and smirked followed by a light chuckle.
"You just wanted a girlfriend, you twisted freak."
Knockout chuckled at the moment before quickly going quiet and looking up at her with a pleasing smile. "Girlfriend huh? I didn't think that's what we were but I'm rather flattered. Is that how it is now?" She knew right away on her mistake and groaned in annoyance.
"You're very frustrating….you're lucky your cute." 'Did I really just fucking say that? I'm like a horny school girl around him!'
"I'm many things, and cute is one of them." She hit his shoulder but couldn't prevent the growing smile as they both laughed at one another.
It felt strange with the way she felt around him and wasn't really sure how she should react to it. A part of her wanted to hate him and yet she wanted to stick to him like glue, and it made her felt insane to have those sorts of feelings about him. And yet here she was, together in berth and laughing like good friends or something much more. Whatever it was between them she didn't want to that to be taken away, which was why she would need to behave herself for now on if she was going to not lose him. No matter what, she'll remain online.
Richard stood not far off from the crime scene from a distance and watched on as police swarmed the area. Last thing he wanted was getting himself involved, because he knew him and James were suspects and had a to keep a low profile, but he needed answers and there was one certain person he was looking for and something told him he was close by.
After staying hidden out of sight for a moment he spotted Fowler who had come out of the ally way talking to other officers. His fists clenched seeing him, it boiled his anger just knowing he lied to him and he was determined to find out why.
It was like a silent call out was given as Fowler tipped his head up and met gazes with Richard. He didn't look surprised but he did look a little confused. Richard watched as he excused himself and made his way towards him.
"Richard, this is a crime scene, and you're a suspect, care to tell me where you were four nights ago?"
"I'm not here to answer your questions; I already have some of my own. Why did you lie to me?" Fowler played dumb and straightened himself.
"About what?"
"About Sarah being dead," he barked lowly as his anger enraged. "I want to full truth and I don't to play your game anymore. Where is Sarah?!"
"Richard, your daughter is gone. Where did you hear of this?" Richard reached in his pocket and showed him the video. The recording picked up right from the moment Sarah appeared and Richard watched as Fowler's face crumbled. He had him and he wasn't going to get away, not this time. "How'd you get this?"
"One of the boys survived that night, he came to me and gave me this. That's all I'm going to answer for you, now you're going to give me answers and I want them now!"
Fowler knew he was caught and the proof was there. It was Bloodbloom who had caused all this mess, and unfortunately Richard believed Sarah was still alive. He continued to watch the footage right before he saw Bloodbloom crashing into the building and the footage cut off. Richard didn't seem that all bothered to know what it was but more like where Sarah was.
"Please understand that I can't tell you everything, but Sarah is gone, she isn't coming back. Now, I'm going to need that mobile-"
"You'll get it when you start telling me the truth." He didn't wait for him to response and reacted by walking away from the agent.
Fowler knew he could have easily done something right that moment but couldn't bring himself to do it like his job title didn't matter. He could only watch him walk away before sighing and getting back to it. It was risky but he didn't believe he would tell the world of what was shown in the video and showed little care in what the robot was with his only priority being his daughter. He'll have eyes watching him though.
Neither June or Jack knew who Bloodbloom really was and didn't know if it was a good idea to let them know. Jack didn't even know Sarah was dead; June didn't want him to know. With the autobots knowing and keeping it from the kids he didn't know how long it was going to be kept a secret. One way or another the kids were going to find out, and he thought it might be best to tell them and June on what was going on. For now though he had Richard to worry about had to figure out how he was going to break the news that his daughter was never coming back, again.
Knockout and Bloodbloom returned to the medic bay and he filled her in on what she had missed out on. Apparently it was a lot. Megatron had one of the Primes arms so he could create and hold the Dark Saber and had managed to destroy Optimus Primes Star Saber. She felt a little bad for him for loosing something so powerful and now Megatron held the upper hand.
"That's…insane. So, what happens now? Will Megatron plan an attack?" The very thought was unsettling.
"I doubt it. We need the remaining relics and that is our main goal. Besides, we still don't know the location of the autobot base. It's only a matter of time before we finally return home." This sparked her interest.
"So, I'll get to see Cybertron?"
"Indeed you will," Kncokout smiled proudly. "I'll even give you a tour of our planet, you're gonna love it!"
"Really? Will I ever see earth again? I mean it is my home, it would feel weird if I just up and left to another planet." Just saying it made it sound crazy. Knockout expected to hear something like that from her but didn't understand something.
"Bloomy, why do you still hold onto something you can never return to?"
"Well, it's still my home. I was born here and it'll always be my home."
"Alright, but you know how the decepticons feel about the planet? They couldn't care less what happened to earth."
"Is that how you feel about it?" His silence was enough for an answer. "I know somewhere deep down you do care about earth."
"Even if I did, there would be nothing I could do to prevent anything from happening. Besides, if I had to choose from either cybertron or earth I'd choose my own home world."
"Just like I would chose my own world, I won't let anything happened it."
The silence grew awkward between them as they stared at one another. Knockout wasn't even surprised by her answer.
"I know you won't," he sighed heavily and stood in front of her as he caressed her cheek plating. "And it worries me, knowing you'll give your life to protect your home. I…Is there any way I can talk you around it?" She gave a weak smile at him.
"No."
Knockout expressed by smiling weakly and resting his helm against her own. "You'll be the death of me." She went to response but he didn't allow it. "Why don't you go find Nightwatch? It's been a while since you two have spoken."
"She's difficult, but I guess I could see how she is. What about you?"
"Megatron is expecting me." It sounded like he was keeping something and he saw this coming from her. "I'll tell you everything when I get back, think of it as a surprise."
"Yeah right," she smirked and began walking out the room. "Don't get yourself killed out there." He could only smirk and watch her leave the room before he made his way to the bridge.
"Knock, knock," Bloodbloom peeked her helm into the open room where she spotted Nightwatch going over a data pad with stacked energon surrounding the room. "Hey, keeping busy?"
"As always." Nightwatch never talked much, this she noticed since knowing her. She had a small bump where the sparkling grew and Bloodbloom smiled brightly noticing it.
"Mind if I keep you company?" She only shrugged as she didn't care what she did. Bloodbloom knew she didn't mean to be rude about it and wasn't offended. She sat close by her and watched her work. "How are you?" Nightwatch's optics dart up to her and back at the data pad looking like she was trying to figure out how to answer her and keep her focus on her work at the same time. "Alright, come on you need a break. Let's talk for a moment at least, please?"
Nightwatch put the data pad down without hesitation and sat down in front of her. "Alright, what do you want to talk about?"
"I know it mustn't be easy being cooped up now but I just want to know how your feeling. Care to share?" She wanted to be there for her as a friend. Besides Knockout there wasn't really anyone else for her to speak with, and besides with her being pregnant she wanted to know everything.
"I guess I'm holding up, it could be worse…"
"What would you want changed to make things better?"
"To not be pregnant." The answer was straight and was not surprise. She knew how she felt about the sparkling and had hoped she would have a change of spark over it, but it seemed the thought wasn't going to happen. "I know it's a cruel thing to say but everything would be easier if I wasn't."
"How does Dreadwing feel about it?"
She managed to smirk. "He's more excited than I am, and worries over me like a brooding creator." It earned Bloodbloom to giggle. "But he takes care of me. I honestly don't know what I would do without him."
"At least he takes cares, not many of those here among the decepticons."
"You're right about that. I just hope-" Nightwatch gasped and landed her servo over her growing bump with wide optics.
"What's wrong?" Bloodbloom sat forward closer concerned something wasn't right.
"I…I'm not sure. I think the sparkling just kicked, it's never done that before." Bloodbloom smiled brightly and knelt down on the floor in front of her.
"Can I feel?" She was more than eager to have a go.
Nightwatch stared at her in surprise before she slowly nodded her helm and moved her servos away to let her. She watched as Bloodbloom placed both her servos over her small bump and let out a soft laugh of disbelief as the sparkling rolled around in her for the first time.
"Holy shit…"
"Even you're more excited than I am."
"Hey, when that sparkling is in the world you'll fall in love with him, or her. I know it's scary and it's ok to be, but give it time." Without thinking she rested her helm against the bump and stayed like that for a whole.
Nightwatch was touched by her affection and smiled down at her. She could only hope she was right, and that her nerves will ease as the following months pass.
I've sort of worked it out and this story will probably have another 15 chapters, still working around it and the plot, but that's what I've worked out so far. Also I'm going to change the pregnancy time length for cybertronions. Nothing accurate, but this is what I'm going with. Nightwatch will be pregnant for three months before the sparkling is due, sound alright? More will come in the coming chapters for your readers. There you have it and I hope everyone enjoyed. Thanks for reading and don't forget to leave a review. Peace out!
