Chapter 25 - The Idea

Ally's POV

We all silently followed Trish up the stairs to her bedroom, all probably thinking why in the world's name is she helping us? All I can think about is maybe, just maybe, having a chance to get my best friend back for good. She pushed open the door to her room, immediately grabbing a black beanbag and sinking into it. Trish opened her arms and gestured for us to sit, a gentle mischievous smirk on her lips. I grabbed the other purple beanbag, my beanbag and sat opposite her as she grinned at my choice. She opened her mouth to speak when Candy stopped her.

"Before you begin, how do we know we can trust you?" Candy asked, raising an eyebrow as she leaned against the wall. I was about to defend Trish before I realized what I was doing. When did I pick Trish over Candy?!

"Well, if you actually think about it, I was never the one to cause most things. It was always the snide comments and being the aggressive one. They were never my ideas to do them. Don't worry about me, I've wanted to wrench out Cassidy's guts for a while but I've been waiting for the perfect time." Trish reeled off as if she had rehearsed it. Austin, Seth and Candy looked at me doubtfully. I smiled back at them. I was convinced Trish was good.

"So. Your idea?" I spoke up, leaning in. Trish turned to me, her eyes lighting up as she grabbed the remote from inside the beanbag. "Can I?" I asked, getting excited. She laughed and passed it to me. I scanned the buttons before I found the one I was looking for. With one easy click, the curtains were drawn, door locked, lights off and a small glow came from her desk. We both stood up and walked to the desk as Seth, Austin and Candy just stared. I pressed another button as the locked chest drawer unlocked. Trish opened it up, took out a file and sat on her bed.

"Here it is." I was about to speak when I saw Austin, Seth and Candy in a dazed state. I walked up to them slowly, before smacking Seth, pulling Austin's hair and screaming into Candy's ear.

"OW!"

"HEY!"

"WHAT WAS THAT FOR!?" I simply smiled and skipped back to Trish who patted me on the head.

"She's still learning." Trish stated proudly. I laughed it off.

"Can you explain what just happened?!" Austin asked us, walking over with the others at his heel.

"Well, Trish's parents are sorta in the FBI. They had the house rigged out to hide things and to do things easily, quickly and secretly."

"I just use it to my advantage. Plus it's so cool!" Trish finished off. They all 'oohed' and 'ahhed' but still seemed un-assured.

"So the plan?" Seth asked, breaking the silence and crossing his arms. Trish passed the folder over to me which I opened curiously. Inside was one single piece of paper with one word written on it in red marker. Austin.

"Austin?" I asked looking at him.

"Me?" He questioned Trish, a scared look in his eyes.

"Yeah." She told us as if we were dumb. "Clearly Cassidy wants Austin. So we use him as...bait."

"BAIT?! I don't want to go back to Cassidy!" He moped, pouting. "I just got back with Ally!" I blushed, wishing no one would notice in the dark.

"Well your going to have too, so everyone can be rid of her. Mainly us, but everyone." Candy said.

"Fine. How do I do this?" He gave in after a pause. Everyone turned to Trish expectantly.

"What?! I came up with the idea! You want more off me?" We all gave her a 'really' look. "Okay, so I do have an idea."

Monday morning came around swiftly. I walked into the hallway nervously, clutching my textbooks and fiddling with loose strings on my cardigan as I scanned the crowded school for a certain ice queen. I wanted someone by my side, but Trish, Austin and I, all agreed that we should pretend we were still not friends. I quickly found her with Brooke at her locker applying another coat of scarlet lipstick. I quickly texted everyone.

To Austin, Candy, Seth, Trish

She's in place. Get ready for the performance of a lifetime. x

From Als

I walked back to my locker, trying to act natural when I saw Austin walk through the doors surrounded by his 'friends'. He quickly winked at me, making my cheeks flush again and headed straight over to Cassidy. I turned away before anyone noticed I was staring at embarrassed me. Not that I wasn't used to it. Trish walked past me, looking at me slightly before walking to Cassidy as well. Everyone around the enemy but me. I walked to my class, mentally hoping nothing would go wrong and we wouldn't be found out for the queen's downfall.

It's treason to plot against the queen and it seems like we were doing just that.
