Chapter 25: Tsubasa's Determination! ~The Phoenix rises from the Soul~
"Awaken..." What the?! My eyes opened to see... Nothing but darkness. Was I floating down? I felt water... Surrounding me, yet I can breathe. This was too weird. That's when I saw a speck of blue light swoop by! I tried to talk, but I couldn't! "You must awaken..."
Who is talking?! I looked around with that damn light going by me everytime! It stopped, then got close to me... That speck of blue light... It looked at me like a mythical being! I saw two lights, knowing it was something big! Those were eyes. I heard the sound of a bird call loudly in my ears, having the knowledge that it was the biggest bird I've ever seen in a dream! That's when... It happened... Lights shined around me... Fire.
Everywhere was fire! I didn't get burned... I found myself on a platform, surrounded by the heat! The bird call came again, having me turn around... I saw it... A Phoenix. It's golden feathers of flames were stunning... It's eyes shined blue at me... Staring me down. "Awaken!"
I screamed in panic! My eyes showed... I was in my room. "Thank God." My voice gave relief. What kind of dream was that? No more sweets after bed I guess...
"TSUBASA!" What the-? The door slammed open to show Dad with his pants on his head, a shirt that wasn't even warn correctly and also one shoe on his foot. "What's wrong?! Did someone come here?!"
"It's nothing, honestly Dad." I tried my best to calm him down. "It was just a nightmare. Nothing else, I promise."
"Oh... Thank God." He started taking some breathers. He needed to chill the hell down after that. In his age, I'm worried about his blood pressure. "Anyway, your mother made breakfast."
"Yes daddy. I'll be down in a minute." He nodded then closed the door so I could change. My hands took off my shirt to reveal my bra, then my pants to show my panties. I changed out of them to a different pair, since it's gross to keep the same pair on. Thankfully my uniform was on my body now, but I swear, no matter what I can never get used to skirts. I'm afraid a pervert might flip it up then take a peek. My spine got a chill just from the thought!
I was about to head downstairs for breakfast, but before I could leave... I saw my X-Wing Gear by the door. Something about it just made me take them with me... Calling me. My hand grabbed the pair and made me take them to school.
The place changed now with me in the living room with breakfast on the table. The food was good as ever. Sometimes, I wonder why we always have the same breakfast? It's strange, because wouldn't someone get tired of it? Well, since Sora's mom comes from England, (I think?) he must get a lot of different breakfast meals. "Tsubasa."
Mom got my attention. "Y-yeah?" I was nervous for some reason.
"Has school been okay? I know it started a couple weeks back, but-"
"It's fine mom!" I gave her a confident smile. "Besides, Ken, TJ and Sora are trying to think of ways to kick off the first month."
"Sounds fun, but be safe!" Dad said taking another bite, then swallowing. "Wouldn't want my baby girl to get hurt!"
"Dad! I'm a teenager!" Geez... Talk about embarrassing.
"You're still MY child!" He and mom laughed at me... I couldn't take it anymore! My hand grabbed my lunch then headed out! My legs were running to where I met up with Sora and Lum! Also Kyofu in her board mode. I finally made it to see them waiting for me.
Lum simply smiled at me. "Morning!"
I flashed a smile back at her. "Morning." I greeted.
"What's wrong? You're sweating a little."
"My parents..." I answered. He just gave an 'ooh' as we walked along the path to school. This was a nice morning, but a question needed to be answered. "So, how's that kick off you and the other two going?"
"Great really." He said, but his finger was scratching his cheek. "Unfortunately, we're on a debate?"
"Debate?" What did he mean by that?
He pulled a piece of paper from his jacket to show me a list... "We're on the debate of either jumping over the school with a lot of fireworks exploding, or skating in the halls while spray painting just to piss off Mr. Onsen." Wow. That actually sounds fun! Hold on... One was crossed out.
"Hey, why did you cross out 'food fight?' " I asked him. Ever since I was a kid, I've always wanted to do one of those.
"Well, we thought you, Lum, Yukihana, Ryuunosuke and Shinobu wouldn't like it... Since well..."
Seriously? "Because I'm a girl?" He nodded looking to the side with a nervous chuckle. "Just because I'm a girl, doesn't mean I don't know how to have fun." My fist lightly punched him in the arm, with my lips forming a smirk at him.
"I forgot, there's a fire inside you 24/7." He laughed.
"But wouldn't a fire inside her kill her?" Lum asked, completely oblivious to what it meant. That's Lum-chan after all.
"No Lum, it's just a figure of speech." I remarked her, having her understanding it more now. But, that dream of the flames... It still bothers me... "Hey, so I had the weirdest dream yesterday." I informing them.
I told them all about it. The Phoenix, the flames and everything else I remembered. "No way." Sora said to me. "That's actually the coolest but kinda weirdest thing I've ever heard."
"It does sound very strange, even for me." Lum couldn't believe it either. That's when we all heard the sound of Kyofu! Sora held the board up in both hands, as her head popped out... Only her head. "Kyofu?"
"It is possible that, Tsubasa-san's X-Wing Gear is awakening, like me and Jufeng." She informed us.
"Are you sure?" Lum asked. "Because, if that can happen, then all the others can as well!" She was right... It looks like that answers one of our questions. Every X-Wing Gear has a form like Sora's and Xiaotong's. "I don't like what I'm feeling..."
"What do you mean, Lum?" Sora asked her.
"I mean, what if this town becomes a war ground?! No mans land!" Crap! I never thought of that! "It makes me worry about you, Darling." For some reason... Sora didn't even react... His face read 'Depression, anger and hate' all on his face... Why though?
"XWG 027..." Huh? We looked at Kyofu's head, who was looking at me. "That is the number of your Gear, Tsubasa-san." Awesome, good to know the number of my board. Wait a second... "How did you...?"
"I looked into the data base." Okay, that's cool. She's like a walking, talking computer. "Also, you will be late for class today in 5 minutes." WHAT?!
"Let's haul ass!" I agree! All of us started running to the school, seeing the usual in front! We saw the students, Mendou coming down by parachute like usual, also Ataru flirting again. The gates were closing! Thankfully we can jump it! Me and Sora jumped the gate with a front flip then landed, with Lum just simply flying over the gate.
Everyone saw us running in, as we finally made it to school! Thank God... All of us were in class with people chatting before the bell rang. "Sora, Tsubasa, Lum." We heard Ryuunosuke's voice.
I walked up to her with my usual smile. "Hey Ryuunosuke. Good morning."
"Yeah, morning." She smiled back at me. "So, what's up?"
"Nothing much, but we're planning on stuff." Sora answered the question she asked. "How are things with you? Since you're staying here."
"With my Dad, it's never a dull moment..." She said to us. I can hear the aggression in her voice. "Geez... Just yesterday he got on my ass for just eating one lousy potato chip!"
Wow... Seriously? "Uh, Ryu-chan..." Lum got her attention. "I don't want to be rude but... You're Dad is a jerk..."
"Lum, I don't care what you say about him." She remarked her. "I hate my Dad with every muscle in my body."
"I'm not gonna lie, your Dad is shit..." Sora said with us nodding in agreement. We all heard the sound of the door opening, seeing Ken, TJ and Yukihana with a piece of rolled up blue paper. Oh boy...
Ken layed them down on a desk, seeing what it was. "Feast your eyes! This is the plan for the biggest bang we can think of this semester!" What it was is a ramp connected to the school with fireworks scattered around the outside the school. Also there was a little drawing of a stick figure holding two romans candles in his hands.
"That looks super fun!" Lum was cheery about it. Ryuunosuke decieded to take a look, amazed by the work we're putting into for this semester.
"This is gonna take some time..."
"Oh it's no big." TJ assured. Everyone started hearing a tiny pebbles being thrown at the window, with Yukihana opening it. We saw Qiang with a hard helmet!
She had Xiaotong wearing one aswell! "Hey! We got the ramp set up!" Crap that was fast! "We're starting on the fireworks now!"
"Thanks!" TJ shouted at her.
"Alright boys! Let's get this party started!" She had workers with her! Wow... Guess they were on board. We went back to discussion on the list.
"Well, since today is a special day..." Ken was thinking of something. "LET'S PAINT!" He, Sora, and TJ held up spray cans... This is gonna be fun. Sora threw a duffle bag filled with spray cans onto one desk and looked at the class.
He had that confident smirk of him. "ALRIGHT! Anyone want to have the best day ever, I want you up here! FRONT AND CENTER!" Everybody didn't even stand... Until Ataru stood up, with some the Stormtroopers standing too! That's when the rest of the classroom started to stand aswell having us smirk. This is gonna be fun...
SORA'S POV
Good! Everyone in class is on board with the best day ever! We were about to spray the halls, until Mendou grabbed my shoulder... "What?"
"I cannot stand by as you destroy this precious building of education!"
"Yes you can."
"HOW?!"
"Like this." I grabbed the nearest heavy thing and hit him hard on the fucking head like a cartoon character! Don't worry folks! He's not dead... Unfortunately. However, that doesn't mean I won't draw on his face, but that's gonna have to wait. "Alright! Everyone ready!" I saw the class having spray cans in their hands. I jumped on Kyofu as she was in her bored mode, riding on her to get speed! "LET'S GO!" Everyone started!
It was awesome! Me and Lum sprayed the lower upper hallway first, then headed down!
"WHAT IS THIS?!" All of us went outside to see the school from inside and out was completely painted! AWESOME! "WHO IS RESPONSIBLE?!" Using Kyofu's speed, I was able to pass Mr. Onsen but also place the spray can in his pocket! "WELL!?"
"It seems it's you, Sir." Lum said to confuse him. "Check your pocket... This was your idea afterall." Nice one Lum!
That dumbass of a teacher quickly checked every pocket on to find the spray paint, and that's when the principal came into play! But shit... I didn't expect that he would have paint on him! That has to be Ataru's or the Stormtroopers work. "Onsen Mark..." He sounded super pissed.
We were good to go with the rest of the plans! "The ramps were ready and everyone was good to go!" Xiaotong announced to us.
"Darling!" Lum gave me a surprise hug, while just looking at me with that smile. "Good Luck!"
"Thanks, Lum." She let go and for me to get ready. I had to do the sickest trick when the fireworks go off! Otherwise this won't be awesome at all...
"HEY!" What the hell?
LUM'S POV
This was fantastic! Or... I thought it was going to be. You see, everything was set! The fireworks, the ramp, Darling looking cool! But, it was stopped because someone got in the way. We looked over at the entrance to see someone there, wearing a white hoodie with the sleeves torn off. His legs were covered with grey sweatpants, with black boots. Was he a boxer?
Darling was the first to step up. "Can I help you?"
"Are you Sora Chirashi?" He asked him... I don't have a good feeling about this, since I NEVER have a good feeling when it comes to this! "I heard you're a top class fighter..."
"You're wrong, since I don't fight."
"That's right!" I shouted at him. "You just go away and leave my Darling alone!"
"Sorry little lady..." He placed his hand on his jacket, gripping it tightly. "I've traveled from Osaka to get a good challenge!" He tore his jacket off to show... He had an X-Wing Gear with him! "I also plan on taking that X-Wing Gear of yours!"
"No way!" He objected. "Kyofu is not a prize! She's a person!"
"Look, 'She' is a board... And from what everyone saw, one of the strongest..." This guy was such a jerk! "Maybe 'She' will prove a good price on the market."
"YOU BASTARD!" That didn't come from Darling... We looked to see Tsubasa with her X-Wing Gear. "Don't talk about Kyo-chan like that!"
"Tsubasa, it's fine." Darling told her. "Leave this to me..."
"So do you accept the challenge?"
"Fine..." WHAT?! "Let's rumble!"
"TOO SLOW!" What the...? He was so... Fast! Even without the Gear! I couldn't even see him! He punched him right there in the face! "Can't keep up!" This weirdo out of nowhere just punched him right in his gut. Also his ribs!
The guy gave him a kick to his chest with Darling flying by and hitting the school!
"YOU BASTARD!" What the?! I saw Tsubasa... Going so fast!
TSUBASA'S POV
This jerk! First he calls Kyofu a prize, then shows no mercy to Sora at all! HE COULD'VE KILLED HIM! Something inside me is on fire... Seeing Sora hurt makes me more angry then anything!
Sora said that he'll always protect me... Now it's my turn to protect him! My X-Wing Gear just... Turned on by itself... They attached to my feet, making it a pair of shoes. I feel it... Combining into one!
My speed turned up as I was so fast the guy didn't see me! I kicked him right in his jaw line, having him confused... "I'll take you on!"
"You?" He got up slowly. "You bitch! I'm Itsuki the Bear Claw! I'm not gonna lose to a girl!"
"Well this girl is gonna kick your ass!" He used his X-Wing Gear and placed his feet inside them. We both had shoe like X-Wing Gear, so it's an equal match.
"Awaken..." That voice again...! It hurts my head!
"Aww? You having second doubts?" Dammit!
"Of course not!" I charged in at him to try to kick him, but he dodged! The bastard got me in the gut!
"GET HIM TSUBASA!" What the?! I saw Sora being helped by Ryuunosuke with Yukihana. Lum was shouting at me.
"Do it!" Ryuunosuke...
"Go for it..." Yukihana...
"DON'T IGNORE ME!" He came at me! That's when I heard the voice again...
"CALL FORTH WHAT IS WITHIN! AWAKEN!"
"X-Wing Gear..." A power... Surged inside me! I feel it! My X-Wing Gear made an energy that threw the guy off and made him fly into a wall! The X-Wing Gear on my feet got off and started merging in my back! I felt cords and everything attaching to my bones, flesh and heart! It hurts but the adrenaline is more stronger! "Suzaku!"
I can feel everyone's eyes on me now! The wings on my back were big like Sora's and Xiaotong's Gears! "N-No way!" The guy named Itsuki couldn't believe it... I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! What's happening to me now is the most awesomest thing to happen! My wings were covered in flame-like lights, of colors that were crimson, gold and bronze...
I started flying across the ground, spinning in circles with the guy in panic! My fist collided with his gut and we kept going! I flew up in the sky, higher than the school building! At that moment the fireworks went off with him screaming in terror! "Who's the girl now?" My hand released the grip, with this Itsuki guy having a high pitched scream that made me laugh. With a sigh, my wings flew down to him to grab him again to head down!
We made it but I tossed him like a pebble skipping water, but instead of water it was the ground then landing into a pile of trash cans! "And stay out!" I yelled at him... But that's when we saw it... On the ground were pins! Team Pins! My hand collected them all, smirking at him. "Thanks for the generous donation." My legs guided me back to where everyone else was...
"That was just awesome!" Sora said to me.
"It was nothing!" My hand scratched the back of my head. my X-Wing Gear came off my back, turning back into a pair of shoes on my feet.
"Well done, Tsubasa." We looked to see Sakura with the med-kit for Sora. "I was watching... That was outstanding to witness."
"Tsubasa was so cool!" Lum started hugging me! H-hey... This is a little embarrassing... Now I know how Sora feels. "That was just like what Darling did!"
"You were amazing." Yukihana praised me.
"Awesome work!" TJ patted me on the back.
"I'm very proud of you." Ken spoke like a father-figure to me.
"You were a bad ass!" Ryuunosuke smirked at me. Man... This is something I'm never gonna forget... In the history of ever!

Kurama: We're playing 7 minutes in Heaven!
Tsubasa: WHAT?!

Hey guys! Sorry I didn't get this up sooner! But I was busy so it was short... Sorry... Why was I busy? School is happening... Also I've been achievement hunting in Skyrim! I'm a level 56 so, I need that 71 to face a Legendary Dragon! My body is so not ready for that... If you want, feel free to tell me about your Skyrim experience down below! Also, I have a load of stories coming down but they're like... Prototypes that I will put down on this site. One is a Rosario Vampire one, where it takes place after Alucard died.
Another is a Highschool DxD one where they meet this old man that actually is a powerful devil. Also, this powerful devil WILL have some Sheogorath elements in him, mainly the irish-scottish accent and being funny as possible.
One more I got is an Elder Scrolls one, with the Dragonborn having to face a more powerful enemy! No, it's not gonna be my character... It's gonna be the Dragonborn where it's in Hide Armor, Steel Sword and Branded Iron Shield. You know, from the trailer.
