The ride home from the airport was more exhausting than Olivia's entire trip. Both Karen and Gerry were trying to give her a play by play of the entire time she was gone, making sure she knew everything she missed including what happened on Spongebob. By the time they arrived to the house, the kids were falling asleep. Fitz and Olivia took them straight to bed and then went on the couch to relax.
"So I planned a surprise for us all tomorrow, I was amazed that Kare and Ger didn't spoil it." Fitz began. Olivia smiled, encouraging him to continue. "We are going to do family pictures. All four of us and even Charlie."
"Really?!" she exclaimed. "That sounds like fun. But what about outfits and themes?"
"All taken care of. All you have to do is show up, I have a hair, makeup and wardrobe team already."
"Wow, this will be great. I'm excited. How did you come up with this?"
"Something I have just been thinking about. But Teddy help me contact everyone that we need."
"I am impressed Fitzgerald." She stated giving him a peck on the cheek. "But I am also tired so let's go to bed."
The next morning, Olivia and Fitz woke up bright and early to get ready for their day. The couple prepared breakfast together and Olivia told Fitz all about the trip.
"Your friends seem great; you'll have to invite them over sometime for dinner or something." Fitz stated. He went to let Charlie outside while Olivia woke up the children. When Fitz came back in the kids and Olivia had already started eating, right next to Olivia was his plate, piled high with food, his morning coffee, and his vitamins. He smiled as he took his seat. Gerry was going on and on about his dinosaur dream from the previous night.
Getting everyone ready and out the door seemed to be as difficult as usual. Olivia cleaned up the dishes while Fitz bathed the kids which turned into bubble wars much to his dismay.
When they finally arrived to the studio, Olivia got extremely excited. Laura Mann was the top photographer in Boston, maybe even on the entire east coast. She took pictures for NBA games, NFL games some MLB and many many celeb weddings, including Donnie Wahlberg and Jenny McCarthy. Olivia practically jumped out the car.
"Fitz, this is amazing! How did you know about her?" Olivia exclaimed.
"Quinn gave Teddy the idea." He stated as he got Karen out the car.
Once inside they were greeted by a very perky receptionist. She rambled on and on about the itinerary and the plan for the day. They walked into the hair/makeup/dressing room area. The entire team Fitz hired was there and ready to get them all dolled up. There were going to only be two outfit changes, one for the indoor pictures and the second for their outdoor.
For the indoor pictures they were all going to be dressed up, navy blue and grey were the colors. Olviia and Karen had similar gray/silver knee length long sleeved dress with knee high navy boots and a navy scarf. Fitz and Gerry were in plaid navy and gray shirts with navy pants.
The indoor pictures were fun and exciting. Laura had music playing to keep their moods up. The session would last about three to four hours which was longer than most.
The wardrobe change from indoor to outdoor was quick, for everyone but Liv. The hairstylist insisted on adding curls to Livs hair under her hat. It was a simple black beret paired with cranberry leggings, a white long sleeve shirt, black vest and black hunting boots; which Karen also wore. Fitz and Gerry had on black jeans, cranberry sweater with a white collared shirt underneath, black knit hat and black boots. Everyone was outside, freezing, waiting for Olivia to come out. As soon as she walked outside the cameras were flashing. Fitz was on his knee with the ring box open, both kids on either side of him holding up chalk boards. Gerry's said 'Marry' and Karen's said 'Me?'.
Olivia instantly slapped her hand over her mouth to prevent herself from screaming. She slowly walked towards him and the children nodding her head. She squatted in front of the trio and simply whispered 'yes'. Gerry and Karen started jumping up and down and screaming while Fitz slipped on the ring. They stood up and hugged each other tight, Fitz lifting her slightly off the ground. He put her back down and kissed her until the two of them could not breath anymore. Laura and the entire crew began to clap and scream.
"The whole thing has been filmed and I got some pretty amazing pictures. Let's take a few more then head back in it's too cold." Laura stated. She took many close ups of the ring and of the happy couple kissing. They even had a chalkboard sign that read, 'She Said Yes!'. The last few photos were of them throwing snow around, blowing snow, throwing snow balls and making snow angels.
They quickly went inside to warm up and change. They quickly changed back into their clothes and drank some hot chocolate while Laura and her team put the pictures and engagement video on a disk and a travel drive. As soon as Laura was finished she sent them on their way home.
"Fitz this was really the greatest day ever. Thank you so much, I love you." She said as he drove home. The kids were in the back fast asleep. "Can we invite our families over for dinner to announce the news?"
"Of course, even though everyone already knows." He stated with a smirk. She looked at him, a bit confused. "I obviously asked your parent's for their blessing, they agreed. Then I just let my parents know what the plan was and Teddy is the one who helped me so, yeah."
"God, I love you." She said smiling widely while admiring her 3 karat princess cut ring with a rose gold and diamond band.
When they got home Fitz began calling their families while Olivia began dinner. Something nice and simple- pot roast with carrots and potatoes.
When their families arrived, everyone was in awe with the ring. The families were beyond excited for the couple. Olivia even let her girls know so that they could see the pictures later with the family after dinner. Olivia and Fitz wanted to get one of the pictures blown up and framed to hang in the entrance room and also get the families and friends opinions on pictures for their wedding save the date reminders they'd send out.
Their friends arrived a little after 8. Abby brought fresh baked apple pie for everyone to enjoy. The living room was packed with family and friends as Fitz putt the dvd in of their day. There was over a hundred pictures, each better than the next. Once they got to the proposal, there wasn't a dry eye in the house. Olivia thanked Quinn for helping Teddy help Fitz with the surprise. The pictures turned out gorgeous and everyone put in their input on the pictures and made sure to congratulate the happy couple.
After everyone left, Fitz and Olivia tag teamed the cleanup while the kids watched tv. As soon as they finished, they bathed the kids and read them their stories.
Fitz drew a bubble bath for the two of them. They sat in a comfortable silence embracing each other. Once the water began to get cold and the two of them began to prune up, they dried off and headed to bed. She smiled, going to sleep as her first night as the future Mrs. Fitzgerald Thomas Grant III.
Alright guys. Review plzzzzzzzzzzzz. :) Also do you want more or is this a good ending? Let me know. Thank you.
