"They stood there fuming and seething for at least ten minutes before they even moved . It was Gibbs and the director that came down the stairs first to be followed by the rest of the group with Tony and Tim bring up the rear with Luke.
"You can leave agent David, you can leave also Miss Sciuto." Vance orders.
"Where are you going?" Abby asks.
"None of your concern, you can leave come back on Monday." Vance answers.
"Gibbs, if it concerns you and members of our team I have the right to know,"
"You have the right to know only what I say you do. Go, you too Abby.." Gibbs tells her.
"Gibbs never talks to me like that. I bet this is all their fault." Abby tells Ziva they walk to their cars.
"Lets go have a light meal Abby we need to gather our posse, and make a plan."
"It's gather the troops Ziva, and we have no troops, but I'm hungry let's go."
"I don't like this at all. We are a team and there should not be secrets." Ziva tells Abby as they leave the diner.
"I guess we'll have to wait until they tell us to find out what is going on." Abby replies.
"I have no intentions of waiting." Ziva tells her as she storms over to the car.
Abby held on for dear life as Ziva drove. She kept her eyes closed and prayed silently as she felt the vibrations of the car.
"Abby open your eyes we are here." Ziva says as the car comes to a stop.
Abby opens one eye then the other when she hears Ziva take the keys out. She says nothing just follow Ziva as she they go up the walkway to Tony's house.
No sooner had they entered the home then Gunny started to bark and bark loudly. He went straight to Noah and stood in front of him gently nudging him a few steps back and closer to a wall.
Hearing Gunny bark Gibbs and Tony came out into the main part of the house.. "What's going on in here?" Gibbs asks
Tony only a step behind him sees Gunny in a defensive stance protecting Noah with his body. Growling the whole time at Ziva and Abby.
"Why are you here?" Gibbs asks.
"More importantly who gave you permission to come into my home without being invited?" Tony asks.
"The door was open we just followed the Marines." Abby answers as she waves her arms at the men carrying things.
"The rest of the team is here I thought we should be there as well. It is not good to keep things secrets from team members." Ziva answers definitely
"I'm not keeping secrets from the team Ziva, just some things are none of your business and this is none of your business." Tony tells her.
"Hey Tony, I brought Zoë and Sam with us." Mandy calls out to him.
"I decided to tag along too, I wanted check on the house and where the children will be sleeping." Judge Browne says as he put a bag full of newly bought things on the floor.
"I came too to stock your first aid box." Grace says walking in a step behind the judge.
"So why do they have the right to know what is going on? While I don't?!" Ziva snapped back harshly.
"They are friends and Judge Browne is doing his job." Gibbs replies glaring at her.
"I assume you are getting the children, do they know you have weapons in the house?" Ziva asks in a challenging tone not willing to give up so easily.
"The judge knows I have two rifles and three handguns in the house he also knows I have two safes in the house as well."
"Probably something you picked up at a bug market." Ziva snarks to them
"Cheap and ineffective, would be my guess." Abby says.
"I bet Abby could break into your safe blindfolded."
"Zoë would you please take the kids out to the back yard, take Gunny too." Tony asks.
"Not a problem." She replies then she put her son Samuel down so he can follow the three other kids.
No one says anything until he kids are out of the area. "Let's go see if Abby can do just that shall we." Vance says as he steps out from behind Tony with McGee at his side.
Neither Abby of Ziva show any fear as they follow the men to the back of the house and into the master bedroom.
They enter the room in mass the men standing to one side. "Find it and open it." Gibbs orders.
They go to the closet and opens the pocket doors Ziva pushes some clothes to one side while Abby looks on the shelves on top. They disregard the dresser with the mirror and the bedside tables as well. Looking at each other they smile broadly and make a bee line for the corner where an older antique looking piece of furniture is with a plasma mounted on the wall over it.
Abby opens the doors and sees a DVD player as well as a few CD's on an interior shelf on one side. On the other side is a safe with a and a keyhole, and a digital keypad.
"Abby what do you think?"
"Piece of cake."
"Then do it, now." Gibbs orders.
Abby cracks her knuckles and looks at Tony.
"I should warn you, it's hot wired to police station. If you don't open it with in the first three times, a silent alarm goes off the local LEO's will come and check." Tony advise.
Abby runs her hands across all of the shelves in the wardrobe, as does Ziva looking for any keys or release buttons.
They men say nothing just watch as Abby tries and fails, then Ziva tries.
"You do it Leon." Gibbs says.
Vance steps up to the safe, with gentle pressure he touches the front of the safe and a panel opens showing a biometric hand slot. He takes a key out of his pocket and smiles at the women.
"You see you need a key, the code and the right handprint to open the safe. Gibbs and the director are the only two other people that can open the safe."
"Why so much security agent DiNozzo?" the judge asks.
"The weapons firstly, secondly sometimes I bring homework, and thirdly my father has been known to come around from time to time, It's better to be safe than sorry as far as he is concerned."
"Ah yes I head about that. What was the outcome?"
"He got off, like I knew he would. Bought the right lawyer and blamed the whole mess on the amount he drank that night."
"What about the rest of the house what is the security like?"
"By next week the rest of the house will be wired up, right now only Mandy's office is." Tim answers.
"I take it you're going to do the work?"
"Yes, it's a trade off of sorts."
"Meaning?" Browne asks.
"He is going to help me install new kitchen cabinets in my kitchen. Or should I say Gibbs is going to install while Tony and I do the grunt work."
"I've seen all I need to see. I'll be getting a report from social services next month." Browne says as he leaves the bedroom.
"Don't you two have things to do places to be?" Tim asks looking at Abby and Ziva.
"What Tim is trying nicely to say is leave you're not welcome here." Gibbs tells them.
Abby stomps he foot in protest as she is about to say something. April came rushing into the bedroom.
She looks at Tony and smiles. "I got it and it should be here in thirty minutes."
"Got what?" Vance asks.
"A bed for Hannah a perfect bed for a little girl." She answers as everyone leaves the bedroom.
"Wait a second will you April?" Tony goes to the front door and opens it "Abby, Ziva don't comeback unless you're invited." Once they are out the door Tony closes it behind them without making a sound.
"Ziva?"
"Don't worry Abby, Gibbs will soon that Tony is just playing house, he will have to come to the rescue and get those children into a proper home."
"I hope so, then maybe both Tony and Tim will come to the senses and realize that we are better for them then the women they are married to."
"Perhaps." Ziva says as she starts the car.
He turns back to April. "Okay tell them."
"A Cinderella bed it looks like a carriage, it holds a twin size bed, it has a ladder on the back so she can climb on to and have a tea party with her dolls. Best part it's painted white with gold and pink trim."
"How much?"
"Well it's a trade actually you have find a bed with a Batman theme the little girl wants it with working lights and sounds."
Tony scratches his head. "By when? And how old is she?"
"Two week she gets back from camp by then, she's eight she decided that Batman was way cooler than Cinderella."
"Boss, McWireman." Tony starts to say
"McGee." Gibbs says.
"I'll find the plans and get a parts list.
"You buy the materials and feed us.: Gibbs says looking at Tony.
" Speaking of food, don't we have a house full of Marines and children that need to be fed?" Vance asks.
