Chapter 25: The Final Showdown

Tsunade walked through the crowd with her head down, rain trickled down her face and body yet she didn't care. People stared at her, but hesitated to ask her any questions in case she might flip. Her face remained plain and dull when she reached the Hokage Tower, she unconsciously walked up the long staircase. Every single noise drowned around her, everything was oblivious to her.

It wasn't until there was a loud BOOM from afar, Tsunade ran to the nearest window and peered out. Hundreds of Sky ninjas has infiltrated the Leaf without being detected at all. Another explosion set off and all the buildings around Tsunade came crashing down in a split second. The blonde immediately ran to the Hokage's office, without any authority to burst in, Tsunade pushed the door open to report what she had just witnessed.

"Hokage-sama!" she began in her shaky voice. Tsunade's sentence was cut short when she saw her beloved sensei already in her war uniform. With enough courage Tsunade gave a silent nod to her sensei before she drew her forehead protector from her pouch and tightened it around her head. After a small telepathic conversation with the old geezer, the blonde Legendary Sannin, jumped out of the open window.

Sarutonbi sighed after Tsunade left the room without anymore remorse. "The Leaf is about to crumble."

BOOM!

Dan jumped from one rooftop to another, he looked over his shoulder and saw two Sky ninjas already at his tail with their stupid machines. "Damn it!" he growled when he quickly spun around to face them. "Kage bushin no jutsu!" Three clones summoned beside him, with the right timing he canceled his clones to create a thick smoke to startle his enemies.

"What on earth?!" One Sky nin shrieked.

Whoosh! The experienced jounin jumped through the smoke and grabbed hold of the Sky ninja that relied on his machinery to keep him up in the air. Dan pierced the enemy with his kunai before he spun them around. "Thanks for the ride gaki." he grinned before he used the enemy's body as a launching pad to his teammate.

The remaining Sky nin was startled and put off guard when he saw Dan's vertical jump reach him. "Die!" he screamed as he operated his weapon to shoot at Dan with dozens of kunais. Unfortunately he was too slow to react when Dan punched him in the face and grabbed hold of his waist. "Hey let go you little bastard!"

Dan threw him to the hospital window and watched him crash into several hospital beds, he chuckled shortly. "Now I need to find Nawaki and make sure he's safe."

"AGHHH!"

Shrieks and screams of agony echoed throughout the burning village, yet more reinforcements came one after the other to make sure the Leaf won't have time to create a defense system. Each Sky ninja shot their kunai ammunition at any humans in the Leaf; no mercy was showed.

Kakashi's eyes narrowed like daggers when he saw the damaged inflicted on his beloved village, he grip tightened around his samurai. "Itachi I want you to use your susano'o to wipe some of this mosquitoes out, got it?" he looked over his shoulder, hatred showed clearly in his mismatched eyes.

"Leave it to me." Itachi replied with a clear voice before he ran towards the chaos of the village.

Genma decided to dispatch himself, Kakashi remained alone on top of the rooftop of his HQ. "It's time to release the Golden Fox from its chamber." he touched his chest and closed his eyes for a brief second. A helpless, young, scream penetrated his ears making him snap from his concentration. "What the?!"

A blond child with blue eyes ran hopelessly from two Sky ninjas, Kakashi's eyes widened when he recognized who that child was. "NARUTO!" he ran to the edge of the rooftop and jumped down to the first enemy ninja. He got his samurai at the ready and slashed one of his metal wings before he wrapped a spiked chain around his neck. "Give my regards to Satan." he whispered when he threw him down to his teammate below.

The blonde child was startled when he saw the two Sky ninjas fall down in front of him, then a coldblooded ANBU afterwards. "Arigato, mister-san!" he waved goodbye when he ran in an alleyway. Kakashi ran after Naruto and grabbed hold of him when he was in reach. His arms wrapped around him protectively as he ran from the firing distance.

When they outran the enemies, Kakashi summoned his whole ninken at his command. A small pug waved at Kakashi and gave him a cool greeting. "I need you to protect Naruto at all cost. I'm counting on you Pakkun." he patted the pug on the head before he ran off.

Naruto was dumbfounded with the situation. "How did he know my name?"

BOOM!

Tsunade managed to save a handful of people in a short period of time, but her chakra was still scarce. When she managed to give a helping hand to the locals, she ran to the Hokage Tower and made her way on to the rooftop where Sarutobi ordered the remaining ANBU squad. "Sensei." she began in her soft voice.

"SCATTER!" The Hokage ordered before he stretched his arm out. He turned to his student with sadden eyes. "Kakashi did this... we're too late. We need Jiriaya and Orochimaru to stand a chance. We need the complete Sannin."

The blond nodded in response, "I know."

POOF!

Two massive clouds of smoke appeared before Tsunade and Sarutobi, the two ninjas stared at the massive cloud until it cleared. Their eyes widened and filled with hope when they saw the two people they needed the most. "Jiraiya... Orochimaru." she spoke out slowly. "When did you arrive?"

"We'll talk later Hime!" Jiriaya replied with a wide smile. "I'm just glad you're alive, now come on and summon yours. It's time to show these Sky ninjas who they are messing with!"

SUSANO'O!

A red susano'o appeared before the Sannin with Itachi as its user. "AMATERASU!" Itachi's strained eye gave off a shed of blood before a roaring black flame devoured a dozen of Sky ninjas. "Uchiha Itachi, at your service Hokage-sama."

Sarutobi jumped on Manda and smirked down at Itachi's dojutsu. "Looks like we may still have a chance!"

Kakashi slammed his hand on the ground before he jumped up with his sword pointed at five Sky ninjas. "Lighting BLADE!" He roared as the samurai's length increased by five meters. With one slash he sliced their gears apart. "Is there any chance Danzo planned this with the Hidden Sky?" he asked. Kakashi jumped on one rooftop that was just in front of the surprised Sannin. He looked over his shoulder and glared at them, but gave Tsunade a quick glance. "Let's put an end to this, shall we... Hokage-sama?"

"If you insist."

"Nawaki!" Dan wrapped his arms around Nawaki's body before he spun them around. His eyes widened when he felt a handful of kunais pierce through his body, but with a small smirk he disappeared in smoke. Nawaki was then grabbed by the real Dan out of the enemies' range. "I want you to hide. Don't you dare try and fight like that Nawaki!"

The Senju nodded sulkily, he was then put in a small hiding spot between two already crushed buildings. "Don't try and get out, Nawaki. I'll come back for you, I promise."

Orochimaru was the first person to take the first move when he summoned his sword out of his mouth. "Let's go Manda!" he ordered his snake. Obediently Manda slithered through the broken village, killing several Sky ninjas whose gears has been broken in action. Orochimaru grinned grimly when he saw two Sky nins headed towards him. He jumped up into midair and wrapped his long tongue around one ninja and swung himself over to his teammate. Without any hesitation, Orochimaru stabbed one ninja in his guts. "I missed killing these pathetic little people that call themselves ninjas." he laughed mockingly.

Jiraiya was the second one to move, "Right let's go! Give me some oil, okay?" he ordered subtly, immediately his summon spat out a handful oil from his mouth, directing its oil to the flying ninjas. "Katon fireball jutsu!" Jiraiya added the oil with his fireball, creating a massive effect on the ninjas who headed towards the Hokage Tower.

Tsunade ordered her slug summon to split itself a hundred times. She closed her eyes tightly and telepathically got access with all the wounded. 'There are so many... dead. Damn it!'

"HIME!" Orochimaru and Jiraiya shouted desperately, Tsunade's eyes snapped open and saw three dozen kunais headed her way. "HIME!"

The blonde stood frozen on the ground and waited for her inevitable doom.

BAM!

Kakashi jumped in front of her with his golden chakra radiating around his body. "Are you okay?" he asked, giving a glace over his shoulder. With some more effort, Kakashi slammed his hands together. "Place your hands on my back, Tsunade-hime. Use my chakra to heal the wounded."

'Hime? Did he just call me, Hime?' Hesitatingly, Tsunade placed her hands on his back. Immediately she felt his warm energy aiding her procedures. Her eyes slowly opened when she finished, her hazel pupils shook when he saw the golden chakra devouring his body. "KAKASHI!"

'He lost control when the Golden Fox was summoned.' Tenzo replied solemnly.

The golden chakra made its way to Kakashi's mouth, it began eating his very being in the voice of Yuuri's. Kakashi fell on his knees, his eyes gave off a tear of blood, his veins appeared clearly through his pale skin and his body became engulfed with the golden chakra. Tsunade stared at Kakashi in disbelief, she gave a gasp when Kakashi's body let up; resulting for him to faint on the ground.

"Kakashi!" Tsunade weaved a couple of seals before she placed her hands on his chest. 'Come on! Come on!'

Orochimaru ran towards Tsunade, his strong arms wrapped around her frail body. "We have to get out now! He's dead, did you see what happened to him?!" his grip tightened around her chest and stomach as he used all the strength he could muster up to pull Tsunade away from Kakashi. "The building is about to fall! We still need your help to heal these people!"

Tsunade's will to fight Orochimaru off shattered when the Hokage Tower and a couple of other buildings came crashing down on Kakashi. "NOOO!"

Orchimaru kept his arms wrapped around his teammate, his teeth gritted together, his eyes narrowed as he endured Tsunade's wailing and endless screams. "HIME GET YOURSELF TOGETHER!" He purged in a strong voice. "A lot of people are dying. Your Grandfather's village is about to crumble. You cannot just pine over one person."

BOOM!

"Come on Hime! We have to give Jiraiya a helping hand!"

Itachi grew fatigue with his constant amaterasu and his susano'o, he dropped on his knees and felt the full pain of his strained eyes. He covered his bloody left eye with his hand, he stood up and raised his free hand. 'For the sake of this village... I must..' He joined his hands together, then he weaved seals. "Katon fireball jutsu!"

"Hey don't go spamming that off on those wingless shitheads." Genma patted Itachi on the back. "Have you seen Kakashi-senpai?" he asked with a worried tone.

"No."

Sarutobi fell on his knees, his breathing became labor and his vision became hazy. 'Damn... I've really lost shape, huh?' The Hokage stood back up when the ANBU squad he waited for arrived on his aid. "ALRIGHT! FIRE AT THOSE STUPID ANGEL OF DEATH!"

"KATON FLOWER PHOENIX JUTSU!"

Kakashi's body remained underneath the rubble, his body was numb from the injection Danzo had stabbed into his system. His body remained in peace, the wage of war around him was put to rest.

'Are you giving up now, Kakashi?'

Idly, Kakashi's eyes opened, darkness fell in front of him. "Yuuri..." he groaned, "...Tell me, how do I control the Golden Fox?"

'First you must-'

"WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?!"

All of the ninjas looked up at the dark sky that's giving off violent thunderstorms. Their eyes then averted to four ANBUs on the Hokage mountain with a massive scroll in possession. Danzo walked to the edge of the mountain with a smirk on his face. "SARUTOBI, LOOKS LIKE YOU CANNOT PROTECT THE VILLAGE!"

The Third remained silent but his body language showed his growing rage towards his once comrade. "YOU'VE GONE TOO FAR WITH THIS, DANZO!"

"BEGONE HIDDEN LEAF!" Danzo raised his arm up when the ritual was complete. "With the sound of a thousand birds, this ridiculous village will be put to rest."

The dark sky spiraled and gave off a massive thunderstorm as its first warning; the second was is bound to destroy the village. All of the ninjas gave a yell of determination before they used all of their jutsus at the violent thunder. "HOKAGE-SAMA WHAT DO WE DO?!"

"I-I.. don't think there's anything else we can do." The Third replied in a weak voice. "This is the final curtain." He looked at Danzo who disappeared in thin air.

BAM!

The rubble that trapped Kakashi exploded by the immense chakra Kakashi produced out of his body system. He clenched his fist, then he glared up at the violent clapping of thunder. 'So you managed to create a bigger version of my Raikiri.. how nice of you, Danzo.' Kakashi stretched his arms to his sides, letting the golden charak wrap around his entire body. His hand then channeled a bigger normal raikiri in his hand. 'This is the final curtain!'

CRACKLE!

The thunder was the first to give its attack on the village. All of the people in the Leaf stared at the thunder in slow motion.

Kakashi's eyes tightened, his kamui spiraled into action and led him on a rooftop. "GOLDEN.. RAIKIRI!" He growled before he launched himself up towards the bigger raikiri ahead of him. At the right moment, Kakashi thrust his hand forward to the thunder. 'I beg you... Fox, give me your power.' his eyes turned red and his raikiri gave sparks of gold.

BAMM!

A massive collision happened, Kakashi's spare hand channeled another golden raikiri at his command. "RAHHH!" His eyes tightened, his clothes ripped and his hands' flesh started to peel. "Not.. yet.. NOT YET! GOLDEN FOX I SUMMON YOU!" A loud roar echoed in the village, then Kakashi's raikiri and his golden chakra managed to create an image of the raging Golden Fox.

"What.. is that?"

SLASH!

Kakashi slashed the massive raikiri by making zig-zags, when he reached the top of the massive raikiri, he wielded his sword and made his golden chakra and electricity engulf it. "GOLDEN SLASH!"

In a loud boom, the remains of the massive raikiri split into pieces by a beautiful golden electricity. Kakashi's body gave in the last second, he made a dramatic way down when he crashed down to a broken building.

Danzo appeared on the Hokage mountain once more, certain that he'd find the village in pieces. Instead he found it in one piece and what's more frustrating is that it was now peaceful. His eyes gave a sharp stare when Kakashi made his way out of the rubble, his hands clenched together tightly. 'I WILL GET YOU BACK KAKASHI... JUST YOU WAIT.'

A/N: I don't know what to say with this chapter.. apart from Swift you wanted Jiraiya to make an appearance, there you go! I know there wasn't much of him but there will be next chapter. ;)
