Chapter 25
My Enemy's, Enemy!
The twins ran with their fierce new leader, the trees flying by so quickly, they were just a blur. Kali came to a halt just outside the area the house was standing when they first attacked, the barren land confused Ethan and Aiden.
"How could a house just disappear?" Ethan asked as Aiden sniffed the air.
"It didn't, it's still there." Kali said walking up to the invisible force field blocking them from seeing the house.
The confused twins looked at each other thinking that Kali was insane.
"It's protected by magic." She said scraping her claws against the invisible force field making ripples in the wall. "Strong magic."
Aiden and Ethan watched as the wall of forest rippled around the house revealing the front porch for a few seconds, before disappearing back to it's original forest landscape.
Derek leaned against the living room wall, watching Stiles play with their kids.
Stiles lifted Elijah into his arms as Carina played with a barbie doll Lydia had gotten her. The cry of happiness filled the room as Stiles lifted Eli into the air and back down into his lap.
Derek watched the happiness unfold so innocently in front of his eyes. He looked at his son and daughter and felt like their dad, but when he looked at Stiles there was something eating at him, somehow he had fallen for the dork and had, had actual sexual relations with said annoying dork. He remembered feeling like Stiles was his world, the feeling of protecting him at all costs. He remembered the passion they had, the love and trust between them. But he couldn't feel it now, it felt like he had woken up from a dream.
Then the realization hit him, what happened in the forest, he thought nothing had happened but it wasn't true, the Cryix had stolen his feelings for Stiles, his love for his boyfriend, the teen he had kids with. He was a stranger now, he looked at Stiles and only saw the Stiles he met in the forest for the first time 3 years ago.
Stiles placed Eli in the play pen with his sister before walking over to Derek, placing his hand in Derek's.
Derek looked down at Stiles unsure what to do as the soft hand gripped his tightly. He hesitantly took it and gave the young teen a small smile, before squeezing Stiles hand.
"Are you okay?" Stiles asked.
"Yeah, yeah I'm great." Derek said releasing Stiles' hand and crossing his arms over his chest.
Stiles whimpered but ignored the rejection, before walking back towards his son and daughter.
Derek turned away from them and walked towards the kitchen where Scott was sitting with Isaac.
"Hey Derek, we need a tie breaker. Skittles or M&Ms?" Scott asked as Derek walked past them towards the sliding doors, looking out at the back yard and completely ignoring what Scott had asked.
"Derek?" Scott said getting up from his seat and walking over to the brooding wolf.
"I don't care!" Derek said.
Scott looked to Isaac, the curly haired boy shrugged before Scott looked back at Derek. "Hey man, are you alright?"
Derek didn't answer just looked out the window before hearing something come from the front door.
Both Scott and Derek looked towards the door. Derek walked past Scott, slowly walking towards the front door. He quickly gripped the handle as Stiles walked into the foyer.
"What's going on?" Stiles asked as he saw Scott and Isaac watching the door suspiciously.
"They heard something." Isaac said.
Derek looked towards Stiles then to the kids with a nod. Stiles took the hint to protect their pups and quickly made his way back towards their kids as Derek faced the door again, slowly turning the door handle.
"Derek we need to talk!" A female voice said from outside.
Derek opened the door and looked outside, behind the force field was that girl and the 2 twin werewolf's that had tried to attack his family a few days back.
"I know you're here!" She said looking around at the invisible wall unable to see anyone.
Derek walked out of the house with Scott and Isaac in toe.
"It's that girl that tried to kill Stiles!" Scott said.
"What do you suppose they want?" Isaac asked.
Derek didn't answer, just watched the woman's eyes scan the area for them.
"We're not here to fight, we're here to help." Kali yelled.
"What do we do Derek?" Isaac asked.
"Hear them out!" Scott said walking towards the force field.
Derek held out his arm not letting Scott pass.
"It's not safe." Derek said.
"No ones safe anymore Derek, that's why we need all the help we can get." Scott protested pushing Derek's arm out of his way, but being tossed back by the mighty wolf with glowing bright blue eyes.
Stiles walked to the front door watching Derek stop Scott from leaving the force field.
"Derek let me pass!" Scott said after being thrown back by the wolf.
"Derek! What's going on?" Stiles asked walking down the steps of the front deck.
"Stay back!" Derek said with his piercing blue eyes.
Stiles came to a halt, watching his best friend try and get threw Derek.
"They say they want to help! Why are you so against that?" Scott asked.
"Because they tried to kill you're best friend and my kids, Scott! I'm not going to trust them." Derek said holding Scott by the front of his shirt.
"You don't have to trust them, we just have to hear them out." Scott said breaking Derek's hold on him.
"Derek, stop!" Stiles said walking towards his lover and best friend.
Derek looked up to see Stiles now standing in front of him. "Stop, Scott is right!"
Derek wrinkled his face angrily, "What if he's not?" Derek yelled. "What if there just here to finish the job?"
"What if they genuinely want to help? They want the Cryix dead same as us." Scott said looking to the dark haired girl standing with the 2 identical twins looking wary for something to happen. Unable to hear the two wolf's arguing from the other side.
"Derek just listen to them, maybe they can help." Stiles said with hope in his eyes.
Derek watched Stiles, listing to his heart say don't listen to the teen, as his head asked him what would Stiles' lover do? "Fine but the first sign of trouble, and I'm ripping their heads off."
Stiles smiled before lifting his hand and waved towards the shield, almost instantly an arch way appeared allowing the 3 alpha's to see inside of the force field.
The 3 alpha's were surprised as the wall opened like a draw bridge gate, revealing Derek standing with 2 other werewolf's and a human in front of a large beautiful new built house.
"Speak!" Derek said with anger in his eyes.
Kali walked forward with her now human hands in the air, "I'm Kali," She said before pointing to Ethan, "this is Ethan and his brother Aiden." She said before looking back at Derek with her hands in their surrendered positions.
"We have a common enemy." Kali said walking through the arch way.
"The enemy of my enemy is my friend!" Scott said.
"Exactly." Kali nodded still watching Derek, "We know we acted wrong the first time we met, I had just lost the love of my life, and I was not thinking straight, you have to understand that. We want, no we need to kill that demon boy, then we will leave town and you will never see us again." The black haired alpha said.
Derek watched the woman with defensive eyes, remembering how he felt when he thought he lost Stiles. Wanting to get that back so he can stop looking at Stiles like a stranger.
"Will you allow us to Help?" Ethan asked getting impatient.
"Fine, but any funny business and your out!" Derek said, "I will end you myself!"
Scott walked up to the alpha's, "I'm Scott, this is Isaac, and the guy you tried to kill Stiles." Scott said pointing to the correct people. "And I guess you already know Derek." Scott said confused.
"How do you know Derek?" Isaac asked.
"His mother was our packs elder leader." Kali said looking at Derek who just watched her not remembering her at all.
Stiles stood defensively as the woman slowly dropped her surrendering hands and walked towards him, Derek watching her like a hawk.
"I'm sorry I tried to kill you." She said the best she could.
"Um, no big deal. Happens quite a lot around here." Stiles said trying to accept her apology.
"So, what are you?" Aiden asked walking up to Stiles.
"He's a witch, use your eyes." Kali said.
Aiden and Ethan both used their alpha eyes, there was a white and silver aura surrounding the amber eyed teen.
"That means he's a witch?" Ethan asked.
"Yup, they come in different colors for various powers." Kali said.
"So what power do you have?" Ethan asked.
"Um not really sure. My coven says I have the potential for quite a lot. Mostly telepathy so far." Stiles said lifting Derek's car with his hand.
"Hey, put her down!" Derek said with an annoyed look.
Stiles smiled before doing as he was told.
"Okay so, I'm sure this is all very interesting but let's not reveal all our secrets to these people." Derek said walking towards Stiles, grabbing him by the shoulders and forced him to walk towards the house.
"We should talk about the Cryix, let them know what exactly we are dealing with, right Stiles?" Derek said with a blaming look in his eye, as he looked down at Stiles.
"Uh right, ya." Stiles said feeling guilty.
"How did you too have 2 kids, like shouldn't it have killed you?" Ethan asked eyeing Stiles.
"Magic is defying the laws of nature... which is weird since it comes from nature." Stiles said sitting at the table with the twins Kali, Derek, and Scott as Isaac made coffee for everyone.
"That's unreal." Ethan said looking to his brother who had the same confused look he did.
"So the demon possessing the boy was created by a spell that went wrong?" Kali asked,
"Ya, the person who cast the spell wasn't experienced enough to use the spell they wanted to and the consequences were that the opposite of the original spell would be the outcome." Derek said glancing over at Stiles occasionally.
"I see, so who cast the spell that ended up killing my lover?" Kali asked looking around the table at Derek, Scott and Stiles.
Derek looked at Stiles then to Scott.
"We don't really know." Derek said protecting Stiles because that's what the old him would do. "We just know that it want's Stiles because he comes from a very powerful line of witches." Derek said lying to Kali and very well I might add.
"What does it want with you?" Aiden asked.
"It wasn't my heart, my power so it can free itself from being ethereal. And eventually die, but we don't know why it wants to die so bad." Stiles said as Isaac brought a try of full coffee mugs over to the table.
"So then your coven has higher contacts trying to find a way to kill it without killing you?" Kali asked watching Stiles.
"Yeah." Stiles sighed being handed a mug of the steaming black liquid.
"So we have to protect you since you are what the Cryix wants." Ethan asked taking a sip of his hot coffee.
"Yes!" Scott said.
"Okay, we can do that." Kali said eyeing the boy cautiously.
Noah stood by the van with his fellow hunters.
Neal ended the call to the Argents. "They are aware that something evil is in Beacon Hills, there's a pack there trying to deal with it, they have a coven of witches there too."
"Really?" Noah said with a grin.
"Uh Vitches..." Kazimir said rolling his eyes in annoyance.
"This might be fun." Noah said, "everyone in the van, time to go." Noah said getting into the driver seat.
"Time to save your brother." Noah said to his daughter, sitting in the passenger seat.
"Witches exist?" Nikki asked.
"Yup that's what you, your mom and Corwin are, which is why he's being possessed by the demon because of his powers, they might be able to help us." Noah said as he started the engine as the other hunters sat in their seats.
"Great... It was so nice of you both to break the news to us before it got one of us into trouble." Nikki said sarcastically.
"We've been so busy lately, we wanted to tell you and your brother on your birthday's but things came up. I'm sorry, we should have told you before this all happened." Nikki's dad said driving down the road.
"Don't vorry, now you're a freak like da rest of us." Kazimir said with a joking smile.
