Well, here's the first Nordic. We'll go and see how it'll work out.

It has been two weeks since Lapras brought back an injured kite. Now, it was time for Malaysia to release it. During the past few days, she and her two pets did their best to help the bird of prey. Kitka, the name of the kite Malaysia discovered was ready to fly. It began one morning when Malaysia was climbing the tallest tree of the jungle with Lapras on her back while the kite was perching on her shoulder.

When they reached the top, Sagwa was already there with her typical cat-like smile as if to ask 'What took you so long?'. Kitka, has an attachment to the young nation's cat. They are like a smaller version of Malaysia and Lapras. " You're lucky that you have claws," Lapras grumbled at the cat. Looking down, he saw nothing but a small dot of the house. Gulping, he did not let go from his owner.

" Alright Kitka," his owner panted. " It's time to test those wings. Below us, there are thermals that can push you upwards and if you fall, Lapras, Sagwa and I will catch you. Okay?"

The kite gave them a chirp of understanding. " One question, are you going to demonstrate?" asked Lapras. Malaysia nodded. 'Is she nuts?! We're going to die!' But his owner just flaps her arms so that the kite could mimic and then takes off from the branch. Lapras closed his eyes, praying that the both of them make it down safely. To his surprise, he felt no crash and when he opened his eyes, he saw that both of them made a safe jump. Unharmed.

" What the-" Before Lapras could say, a furry figure lands on his back. It was Sagwa. Malaysia was laughing as she points out to the two of them, at the sky, there was the kite. Flying freely. Lapras couldn't help but smile. " You did it, Malaysia!"

" No," Malaysia corrected him. " We did it. Now she can fly back to Langkawi island" Instead, the kite lands on Malaysia's shoulder, chirping something into her ear that both the pets couldn't decipher.

" What did she say?" asked Lapras. Malaysia tells them that Kitka wanted to stay but not as a pet but as a friend from the jungle. She wanted to help them as a returned favour. Lapras agreed while Sagwa was happy that her best friend's going to stay. All of them watch as the kite flew into the jungle with the cat trailing behind.

Lapras followed his owner back home. " Malaysia, how come there was no crash and why were your shoes ripped to shreds when we land?" asked Lapras. Malaysia just smile. " You'll find out soon, Lapras." Just then, the phone rang.

Malaysia picks up the receiver and said," Hello?"

" Halló, Malaysia," a quiet voice replies. The nation knew who was calling.

" Hi Iceland. What can I do for you?"

" Remember my puffin?"

" How could I not! He's a cute guy. What's wrong with him?" She could tell that the Icelandic was quiet, thinking about how to answer the question.

" He looks different," he sighs. " His beak seems to fall apart, his feathers are all ruffled and he keeps screaming 'I'm going to die'. Do you think you could come over to take a-"

Before Iceland could finish, a voice yelled into the phone. " HURRY UP, TOUGH GUY! I DON'T WANNA DIE!" And thus, the line was hung up. Malaysia looked at Lapras. " Well Lapras, your buddy needs our help. Especially yours."

After the flight to Reykjavík:

Iceland. What an irony for a country's name when there's green on the land. But got to admit, the sea and night sky makes it look magical in Malaysia's point of view. Both of them arrived at Iceland house faster than usual because they could hear squawking sounds inside.

A young man around sixteen to seventeen of years with silver-white hair answered the door. He looked calm and cool despite the chaos. Malaysia couldn't help but look into his purple eyes which shows signs of worry and something that she couldn't tell. Even though he looks young, his height towers over her by an inch or two.

" It's good to see you again, Iceland." Malaysia smiles at her friend and Iceland just nodded. Both of them shake hands and Iceland even smiles a little when Lapras greeted him as he rubs the waterhorse on his back. He leads them into the living room.

In the living room, there sat the messed up puffin. Just like how Iceland described him, he was shaking. Lapras went over to the bird and nudged him gently with his snout. The puffin looked up and gasped.

" Mr Lapras 'Freeze'?"

Lapras smirked at the nickname and said," The one and only, Mr 'Mafia' Puffin!" They two of them hugged, remembering their adventures as Ice Fish Trio. When Mr Puffin tried to fly, he had great difficulty in doing so. Lapras, being the golden heart he is, uses his head as a cushion for his landing. The puffin thanked his friend and said:

" I don't think I'm going to live long, Laps. Just look at me!" Lapras looked at his owner, to see if it were true. Malaysia placed the puffin on her lap to examine him. Lapras decided to watch while resting his head on the Icelandic's lap. The Malay chuckles.

" You'll live Mr Puffin," she told the confused bird. " In fact, these are signs of growing up. You're molting."

" Melting?!" the puffin exclaims. Even Iceland was surprise by what Malaysia had just said. Lapras leans closer to listen to his owner's explanation.

" Molting is process of shedding old feathers and in this case, puffins shed both their beaks and feathers. Don't worry, a new set will come out. You'll be cuter than what you are now."

Hearing this, Mr Puffin sighs with relieve. " Thank god! Now, I want to go out. Tough Guy here has been hanging out with the fridge ever since this." Iceland's face was hot with embarrassment. So it was settled that all of them would talk a walk.

Mr Puffin was riding on Lapras' back as the waterhorse was ahead of their owners. Both of them were talking about activities they want to do as Ice Fish Trio. Iceland and Malaysia were watching them with small smiles.

" Do you have a pet bird?" asked Iceland. Malaysia shook her head. " Not really, Iceland. I've seen different types of birds in my country but none are pets. The kite, Kitka, is a friend that is now a residence in my area."

" I see..."

Malaysia sensed that something's wrong with the places her arm over his shoulders in a comforting manner. " Something wrong, Ice?"

" It's my so called 'brother' Norway," he sighed. " He can't stop bothering me because he wants me to call him Big Brother."

" And do you want to?"

" We're grown up!" he cried. " I don't get it." Suddenly, Malaysia has an idea. She whispered something into Iceland's ear that made him smile an evil smile.

" So cheer up!" Malaysia told him. " If he happens to stop by, just do what I asked you to do."

" þakkir, for everthing," said Iceland. And the two of them walked together towards their faithful pets.

Aww, Malaysia and Lapras are sweet! Anyways, it is true that puffins shed their beaks when molting. I hope Ice Fish Trio will reunite...
