Chapter 25 Carpenters Daughters MIT Bound"
Ana
I have been looking at attending MIT for a while, but got caught up in learning how to fly. Christian has been allowing me to train on his helicopter and airplanes. I offer to pay for the expense to fly them and money for lessons. But he told me no way, he says it will benefit him and the family to have another pilot.
Today I told mom and dad that I would like to go to MIT for a couple of years. Dad was a bit concerned about me being so far away. I told him I would FaceTime often and come home every month. I just want to attend some courses they offer in person.
I got my pilots licenses in two months time. I buckled down and studied everything I was given along with anything else I could get my hands on. So now Christian told me what type of helicopter to buy and it's in a hangar until it's painted per FAA regulations. I call her Steele Magnolia. Okay call me sappy, loved the movie and my last name in honor of Ray.
Today I passed my flight test and my license is coming in a few weeks. Tomorrow I head to MIT, Christian gave me time off to attend school under one condition. Barney and he can call me with questions on projects. They also want to tour MIT. I decided to live on campus and it's pretty fun.
Kate
Elliott has been urging me to get my degree in journalism. Dad agrees with him, but I suspect Elliott wants to play the field while I get my degree. We never said we were monogamous to each other. So I decided to attend college out east close to Ana. Maybe NYU I was accepted there and several others. NYU has a lot to offer including New York. I have never been, Christian offered me his penthouse to stay at while there, but I want a dorm on campus. Just like Ana.
I know Emily would have loved to go to college as well, but someone else is a priority. She started on line college courses just after Ana gave her the idea and helped her with her GED. Not sure why she wants to be a pre school teacher though. I guess it won't be long until Alex is in kindergarten.
James
I talked dad into getting my pilots licenses as well. Mia is scared for me to do it. I told her Ana did it and so can I. Dad said just ask your fiancé first, because she will be part of all your decisions from now on.
Mia
Okay I am scared of James taking pilots courses and getting his license. Everyone tells me its safe. I finally gave in and said don't crash and die or I will kill you.
I am sitting with Leo planning James and my wedding. I can't decide on a Christmas wedding or New Years Eve at Midnight in New York at Christians penthouse. If New York we need to make several trips there. I know the dress I want and hope my family will spare no expense on my wedding. I am the only girl in my family. I found out I can't announce my engagement or my wedding in any type of newspapers. My dad told me it's because of what happened after Ray and Allies wedding announcement made the papers. They said they will make it up to me by giving us a nice wedding gift of my choice within reason. I want a house built close by my family. Christian said if dad and Elliott agree he can build one on his land. A smaller one than his.

I hope for a Christmas wedding, but knowing Mia she will want the New Years Eve in New York. At my penthouse and dad, Elliott, Rays and my expense. It will ensure Kate and Ana can make it. I sort of miss short stuff(my nickname for Ana). Barney can't call her that since Emily is short as well. Barney towers over Emily by a foot. I think she could take him in a fight though. Elliott has been antsy since Kate has been gone.
So much he's hanging out at my house a lot. I told him one night I had a date and he invited himself to go along. Try telling your date your brother is joining us on our first date. Let's just say she got him a date at the last minute.
Well long story short they both had dated Elliott. I had to beg them to stay and eat dinner at least. They said there will be no second dates with me. I had no idea my brother was a dating machine that has a no return button.
After dinner we went our separate ways. Elliott dragged me to a pick up place he knew about. Women were throwing themselves at us, just too many of them. We finally got a table and ten minutes later twins join us and we had a good time. Both were new in town and had no idea who we were.
We ran into one huge problem they turned out to be 17 and were asked to leave. I had Taylor drive them directly to their home and inform their parents about their being in the bar.
Leo
Mia has huge plans and having her wedding in New York I will have to get mom and dads permission to go. I know James and Mia are adults legally, But I am just a little over 16 and I think that they need a professional on this one. Plus hiring will be odd in New York. I can make the cake if I have my equipment and making the food will be good. But I need servers and extra chefs this time.
I had help at Emilys wedding and still had to miss part of the celebrations. Mom suggested that I hire everyone to do the work and be in charge. She said that I need to be a guest who helped plan the wedding.
I found out the whole family is chipping in not only on the wedding but building a home for James and Mia as their wedding gift. I guess James, Elliott, Todd, and dad are doing the building of the home. Barney is installing security devices as his gift. Christian is paying for the materials and has the land already.
Todd
After all the talk about James and mias wedding I think staying single has its merits. I am going to get a degree as an architect and design building and homes. I am attending WSU next year. I love my family, but I need space at this point in my life. I spoke to mom and dad and they gave me the okay and are paying for everything.
Emily
I not only am training drivers in defensive driving, but also half way to my teaching degree. Barney has been so good to me and Alex. I believe things happen for a reason and I am so right. I had no idea Barney had a genius IQ when we met. He has money coming in all the time. I guess his patents are like Anas and they both get checks from a lot of companies just to use their inventions in their products.
He bounced a few ideas off me for products for children to use.

Emily was the best surprise of all when I accidentally met her on one of the worst days of her family's lives. Ana and I created a new security device to detect toxic odors early. We installed them in all the Greys, Steeles and our home and places of business.
