Chapter XXV

The Force Unleashed

On the surface…

"Alright General," Quick Draw began, "what's the plan?"

"Cad Bane brought Ahsoka to this planet and most likely handed her to Dooku." Galen said.

"It's the perfect place." Kota said. "No one from the Republic would think to look here because of the rumors that the atmosphere is unbreathable."

"Don't get comfortable yet General, this place is dangerous. Rivers of burning hyperspace fuel, Rodians, and droid factories. That's why we are going to split up into several teams." He generated a holo-map and directed everyone. "There are droid factories scattered among this areas. Each General will lead a squad to deal with them except for Luminara. I have another job for you." Then the map shifted. "Here this ion cannon. Your team is to go on ahead to securer it. Then we use it to take down the shipyard.

"What about you and Barriss?" Anakin asked.

"This structure here. It's Dooku's stronghold, he's there with Ahsoka. Barriss and I will lead a team there. Everyone, move out!"

The legions of of clones and militia spilt into several battalions along with AT-TEs and AT-RTs.

"Hello Ahsoka." Count Dooku said.

"You! I should have known it was you! That this was your plan!" Ahsoka raged.

"My plan? Oh no it's not my plan, it's my Masters'."

"Your Master? Wait… Darth Sidious?"

"How do you know that name? Only a few Jedi have ever heard it!"

Ahsoka didn't answer, not letting him know that Galen told her.

"Tell me!"

She remained silent.

"I said, tell me!" Dooku demanded giving her a brief blast of lightning.

"Aha!" she screamed as the current tore through her.

"How do you know?"

"Go to hell."

Dooku blasted her again longer this time. "You will tell me how you know, or you will die."

"He, he, he." Ahsoka chuckled as she forced herself to her feet. "You know Galen is coming, coming for me. Go ahead and blast me again, it'll only make things worse for you when he gets here."

"We'll see." Dooku said and blasted her again.

"Master, I have the girl."

"Excellent."

"What am I to do with the boy when he arrives?"

"Use the girl against him. Make him your new assassin."

"Will that even work?"

"He loves her. He will obey you."

"Are you sure you want to go in alone?" Barriss asked.

"Yes, this trap is for me. Take the squad and assist the nearest team ." Galen said as he entered and pulled on his hood.

"Don't go in there alone!" Anakin said. "Dooku is waiting for you."

"She's close General I am not stopping."

"We're losing your single Galen just stop!"

"I'm done arguing Skywalker! I have to do this! Ahsoka? AHSOKA!"

He found himself in a large circular and dark room.

"So, you really did come." Dooku's voice said over speakers.

"Tyranus!"

"Welcome Galen Marek. Your timing is perfect. I was hoping to test out this weapon. Who better to test it on then what it was created to kill."

Galen's attention was caught by two red lights in the shadows and a droid walked out. The droid appeared to be roughly humanoid in shape, with skeletal features similar to that of Grievous. Its helmeted head contained two red photoreceptors and its body was coated in red paint.

"Meet the EG-4 Jedi Hunter Droid prototype"

"Jedi Hunter?" Galen asked. Suddenly the droid whipped out a red lightsaber. "What the?" Galen said as it launched itself at him.

It was fast and displayed mastery of the Sith Shien, but its blade work and programing were sloppy.

Galen dodged a few strikes before simply side stepping and cut it down. "Cheap droids."

"Well done. Not surprising from someone with your skill." Dooku said as a door opened. "But it doesn't mean you can reach me."

Galen walked through to find himself in an extremely vast. At the other end and approaching were countless B1-droids and super battle droids.

Galen ignited his lightsabers and twirled one of them before charging forward. As he cut them down the others began to surround him, just as he expected. "Rha!" he shouted as he released a force repulse so powerful they became ash. He holstered his saber and prepared to head deeper into the fortress. Then he heard a strange metallic shriek and turned.

A massive spider-like droid with four legs stood in his way. Its optics changed from green to red-orange as it shot electricity at Galen who held it back with one hand. You will not STOP ME! Galen shouted in his mind.

With his free hand he blasted the droid with force lightning before releasing a force push from both hands. He ignited his lightsabers and charged forward throwing them at the Terror Walkers front legs, cutting a piece of them off. He jumped on its head and stabbed it repeatedly before cutting of its electricity projectors. He jumper off and the walker tried to hit him with what was left of one of its front legs but Galen grabbed it with the Force. He picked up the droid and compacted its head. He then jumped up and slashed it and then cut it in half when he dropped.

"Bravo." Dooku said clapping as Galen entered another large room with Dooku at the other end. "Now, you will come with me my apprentice."

Galen lite his sabers in response. "Never."

Dooku drew his saber and put one arm behind his back.

Galen charged in with the direct and vicious attacks of Juyo while Dooku used the flowing, elegant, and graceful movements of Makashi. Dooku eventually jumped back and threw lightning at Galen who caught it and threw it back.

Dooku holstered his saber and used both hands to make the celling cave in and escaped to the other room while Galen stopped the ceiling from crushing him.

When he ran to the next room he didn't see Dooku, then dodged as Dooku came from the side trying to strike him and they entered an saber lock.

"You are a fool to face me alone." Dooku said.

"You'll have to kill me this time!" Galen replied.

"Anakin and Obi-Wan never defeated me. What hope do you have?"

"I've defeated Sith before I will do it again!"

The lock broke and they parried before they locked again.

"I'm stronger then you." Galen said.

"Yet you fail to defeat me. If you wish to play at being a Jedi so be it!" Dooku challenged.

"Shut up!" Galen shouted.

Dooku jumped back and threw a large piece of scrap metal at Galen and escaped to the next room.

Galen ran in and found himself in Dooku's Throne room with Dooku at the other end.

"WHERE IS SHE!?"

Dooku side stepped, revealing her behind him on her knees in shackles.

"Ahsoka."

Dooku picked her up with Force choke and held her two feet above the ground. "Join me, or she dies."

"Wait, wait!" Galen said.

Ahsoka mouthed the word 'no' to him.

He dropped his sabers and fell to his knees. "I will… do your bidding. Just let her go."

Dooku dropped her, but didn't see her reach. "Find and kill General Kota. If you fail the girl dies. You will obey and give yourself to the Dark Side. If you resist she dies. And when your training is complete you will join the army and destroy the Jedi Generals. If you fail she dies!"

He suddenly jumper backwards as a water blue blade passed in front of him. Ahsoka had called one of Galen's sabers to her after Dooku dropped her and held it in her shackled hands.

Dooku picked her up causing her to drop the lightsaber and threw out the window in the back wall. She hit the ground outside…dead.

"RHAAAAAAAAAA!" Galen creamed and charged Dooku and called his sabers to him and knocked out the same window.

Dooku looked up to see lighting and pure force energy radiating off of Galen's body. When he attacked his speed had increased and so had his strength. Dooku managed to force him into a saber lock.

"I'LL KILL YOU!" Galen screamed.

"Rise above this, she means nothing". Dooku said trying to incite him. "Her death gives you strength. Embrace it!"

"I WILL KILL YOU!"

"If you wish to join the girl so be it!"

The lock broke and Galen attacked with Juyo, never letting up.

I'm having a hard time keeping up with him. Dooku thought. And his rage! I've never felt levels of rage like this before!

Soon they entered another saber lock.

"She was a Jedi, she would have never loved you!"

"YOU WILL DIE WHERE YOU STAND!"

Galen forced him back and shot lighting at him.

Dooku tried to counter, but he couldn't. Soon he was on his knees with one of Galen's sabers at his neck.

"YOU'VE TAKEN EVERYTHING FROM ME!"

"Her feelings for you were not real."

"THERE ARE REAL TO ME!"

"Wait!" Anakin said as he and the other Jedi except for Luminara ran onto the platform.

"You want him dead as much as I do."

"Yes but not yet!" Plo Koon said. "Not until he's told us the Separatist's secrets."

"You want to take him prisoner?" Galen asked.

"To a prison on Coruscant where we can interrogate him." Obi-Wan said. "Put him on trial for crimes against the Republic. And then we'll execute him, to show the galaxy that we don't need to fear him any longer."

"He's too dangerous." Galen said.

"He's unarmed. It's not the Jedi way." Aayla said.

Galen still seemed ready to strike.

"Killing him won't bring her back!" Obi-Wan said.

She wouldn't want me to.

Galen turned off his saber and holstered them. Then Anakin placed his own saber to Dooku's throat. "Get something to hold him." He said.

"Yes General." Rex said.

Galen saw Barriss trying to heal Ahsoka and ran over.

"I… I can't revive her. I'm sorry."

"It's not your fault." Galen said as her took Ahsoka's body in his arms and held her close. "I should have saved her"

Slowly a hand placed itself gently on Galen's cheek and brought him toward Ahsoka's lips.

When the kiss broke Ahsoka smiled up at him. "You did."

Galen smiled like a idiot and helped her up. "I believe these are yours." He said and pulled her lightsaber and her shoto out of his robes.

"Thanks, I feel naked with them." She said and hooked them to her belt.

Dooku was in cuffs and being led toward the landing area.

"Progress report!" Galen said.

"Most of the factories are rubble. The Y-Wings have been helpful. But Luminara hasn't checked in yet."

"Galen, Barriss, anyone, come in!" Luminara said anxiously over the comm.

"Master what's going on?"

"I've tried securing the ion cannon but the reinforcements are getting overwhelming."

"Fall back. Ahsoka and I will handle it."

Ahsoka stood next to Galen as they approached the ion cannon.

"If we disrupt the cannon it should send a blast right at the shipyard. You ready?" he asked.

"Hell yes." Ahsoka said drawing her sabers.

Galen smiled and followed suit.

Galen didn't hold back using repulses and lighting, easily allowing him and Ahsoka to take care of the droids. Then they disrupted the polarity causing a blast ot go straight for the shipyard, and cruiser to come for them.

"Galen, what's happening?" Kota asked.

"There's a dreadnought coming right for us we gotta get out of here." Galen said.

"You'll never clear the blast in time you need to pull it into the cannon."

"What?" Ahsoka said, "That thing's massive!"

"You Jedi size means nothing to you."

"Ahsoka, if con give me cover I think I can do it."

"Okay."

Galen grabbed the dreadnought and turned it so it was facing the cannon.

"Good now rip it down! Pull it out of the sky!"

"By the Force." Ahsoka said as she watched. She couldn't believe that he was moving something that size.

"Here it some!" Galen said as he slammed the ship into the cannon.

The shockwave knocked Galen Ahsoka back 100 feet. They were battered and bruised but alive.

"Galen? Ahsoka? Are you there?" Anakin asked.

Galen threw a sheet of metal off of him and Ahsoka. "Relax Skywalker we're still here."

"Good, good. Let's get back to Coruscant."

"Yeah, let's leave."

A/N: This arc is done. Next? I'm thinking maybe I'll start season 4 with 'Water War'.
