"SHREDDER HAS MY PERSONAL INFORMATION?!" Maddie shrieked.

"What kind of information does he have?"

"Um, my name, Beth's apartment"

Maddie let out a small scream as she immediately shot up from her bed. She looked around. No alley. No foot. No death. She wanted to sigh in relief, but at the moment, all she did was cry as soft as possible, as to not disturb the others. However, Mikey noticed a scream, and had gotten up to find the problem. Although others are too blind to see this, Mikey wasn't stupid. He knew screams and crying at night meant nightmares. He knew. He'd been there. He walked to the rooms to find the person. He walked into the spare room. Maddie looked up, and cried harder. Seeing him alive was so reliving, but sad to think she saw him dead. "What happened?" Mikey asked.

"Thefootandandyoudiedanddied!"

"Relax, dudette. It was just a nightmare."

"I feel so stupid waking you up because of a nightmare. I'm not three anymore."

Mikey laughed a little. "Trust me, I've been there too many times to count." He smiled.

Maddie let out a shaky sigh, and Mikey sat down.

"What happened? That is if you want to talk about it."

"We were all on patrol, and a foot solider stabbed you and you…died…" Maddie wiped a tear from her face.

"Yeah, well evidently the awesome one is still in 100% good condition."

Maddie chuckled a little. They started a quiet and short conversation. A quick hug followed, and the two went back to bed.

"Never change, Maddie." Mikey thought as he slowly fell back asleep.

The next morning, Mikey woke up to the sound of a smoke alarm. "LEO!" Mikey yelled first thing. He put on his gear, and went downstairs. Leo and Donnie were trying to blow out the fire in the oven. Mikey grabbed the fire extinguisher and killed the fire. He dropped the empty canister, and sat down in his favorite chair. He crushed a piece of paper in the process, and he looked at what it said. It was just a smiley face. Mikey smiled. He knew who wrote it. Raph walked into the living room. "It's ALIVE! RUN!" Mikey joked. Maddie laughed. Raph smacked Mikey in the back of the head, and walked over to Maddie. "Why do you always agree with Mikey, huh?" He growled. "Maybe unlike some red-banded turtles, Mikey has some respect." She said, looking away from Raph. "Why are you so mean sometimes?" She asked, raising from the chair.

"I am NOT mean!"

"How about you stop?"

"How about make me?"

"How about SURE?" Maddie grimaced, her diamond starting to glow.

Raph ripped the necklace off of Maddie, and held it up.

"Raphael. Give it back." She said.

"How about no?"

The two argued back and forth, gradually getting louder. Finally, Maddie screamed, "RAPH!" And he flew back to the punching bag. He looked up, an stared in horror. Maddie turned to run, but Donnie stopped her. "What was that? Did you have the diamond on for so long, it just melted in?" He asked.

"No. I was born like this. I just pretended it was the diamond that gave me powers. The kraang have been after me for a week or so now."

"Why didn't you tell us?"

"Because I wanted to help. I knew you would make me stay from missions, and I wanted to help you guys."

Raph butted in. "I don't care! She nearly cracked my shell!"

"I lost it! At least I kept it all in until now! I'm out." Maddie yelled, and left the sewers.

Maddie walked around Central Park for a while, then climbed up to a rooftop. She looked to her side, and suddenly became mesmerized at the view of the city. All of a sudden, darkness.

Maddie woke up in a room. She thought it was just a hospital, until she saw the giant needle two inches away from her face. She swallowed, and turned death sheet white. "Please stop," she said as the needle came closer.

"Stop…!"

She yelled louder.

The needle still drew closer. The second it touched her, it powered down. She closed her eyes, and her latches were undone. She opened her eyes, surprised at what happened.

At the top of the needle mechanism sat Raph. She snuck off of the table, sighing at how close her death was.

"Thanks," she said softly.

"No problem. Get in the shellraiser!" Raph yelled. Maddie did as told, then halfway back to the lair Raph asked, "do you still have powers?" Maddie twirled an icicle between her fingers. For some reason, that always calmed her. "Mm-hmm" she mumbled, still grasping the last five minutes.

Since it was just them, Raph decided it was safe.

"Sorry I flipped out." He said.

"It was more me," Maddie said solemnly. The shellraiser screeched to a halt. They climbed into the sewers.

When the two entered the lair, everyone was overjoyed to see that they made it home safely.

Maddie smiled at Raph, and for the first time, Raph smiled back.
