XXV. Alexander Edward Thomas
29 January 2009
Lavender never forgot her relief when Dean clambered into the Room of Requirement, very much alive. He caught her gaze over the sea of people in the Great Hall during the final moments before the Battle, eyes blazing; Lavender nodded, trying to smile.
Dumbledore's Army's losses were heavy…Colin, Fred, Terry…Dean's stomach lurched as he counted the familiar, frozen faces. But nothing prepared him for the sight of Lavender's feebly stirring, disfigured body. He hurtled forward and knelt beside her, bellowing for help. She winced and groaned softly, brushing his hand.
Alexander Edward—Gryffindor, through and through—truly his parents' son.
