Alright everyone . . . I'm back! Sorry it took so long to get this chapter up for you all, but, it's here! As you can tell, I had just started a new X-men series called Peace in Our Time in collaboration with one of my favorite authors on here, so that's what's been occupying my time, as well as a new semester at school. My work on X-men has become quite the priority, with pre-writing chapters and having MarvelMaster 616 be my personal critic and making suggestions with what to edit. He's been great helping me every step of the way with it and has been very supportive of me and this newest venture. If anyone here wants to check it out and leave some reviews, please do, because I would love to make Peace in Our Time a full series that reimagines X-men comics forever. -

The next morning, after having unwound from the confrontation with Vandal Savage, Barry and Alicia found themselves at the CCPD with Oliver. He'd come to them asking them for their help to perform a DNA test on a hair sample, not telling them much, just that it had something to do with Damien Darkh. Alicia knew when Oliver was being cryptic that he was hiding something from them, but, she wasn't going to ask any questions because she could tell whatever it was that it was personal for him. Alicia was going to respect that. All she could tell was the Oliver was going through something right now, and the best that she and Barry could give him was their support by just not asking too many questions. However, Alicia still remembered her and Barry's conversation with Cisco from earlier about how she and Barry might actually end up time-jumping. He'd freaked out, just as she and Barry had suspected that he would, and she could hardly blame him at all for his reaction because both Alicia and Barry had bad experiences with time travel.
Alicia sat at Barry's desk, sucking down on a cup of iced matcha tea and picking at her chocolate granola with strawberries and raspberries. She could hardly eat because the thought of needing to hand Kendra and Carter over sickened her to no end. She was currently listening to her playlist of Linkin Park and Skillet songs, swirling her spoon in her granola and berries that were surrounded by vanilla yogurt. She just wanted a normal day for once, where nothing would go wrong. Letting out a heavy sigh, she unplugged her ear buds from her ears when Barry approached her.
"C'mon, sweetheart, you gotta eat," he said, rubbing her shoulders.
"I can't right now, Barry," Alicia sighed heavily. Her dark blue eyes traveled up to meet her boyfriend's hazel ones. Barry tangled his fingers through her blue-black hair as he kissed her forehead. That was the moment the DNA test was wrapped up and done.
"Alright, DNA test is done. I don't know what it has to do with Damien Darkh but it should be enough to help," said Barry to Oliver as he handed their friend the results.
"Thanks Barry." Oliver had a look in his eyes; as if he were about to have his eyes filled up with tears.
"Ollie, are you okay?" Alicia asked. "You seem off."
"Yeah, yeah, I'm alright," Oliver whispered, handing the results back over to Barry. "Thanks, this is big help. Just don't tell anyone about this," he added as he left the room. Alicia got up and went to observe the results for herself. When she looked at it, she instantly knew that this wasn't just some ordinary DNA test . . . it was a paternity test. Alicia felt a sinking feeling forming in the pit of her stomach, and she suddenly didn't regret not eating that much breakfast. As Oliver left the room, Felicity entered.
"All right, I'd like to know what is going on here," Felicity announced. Barry and Alicia turned to face their blonde friend. "Yes, I tracked you down. I find people for a living. I don't get paid, but . . ."
Barry instantly flashed the file into his pocket, wanting nothing more than to hide this from Felicity.
"What was that?" asked Felicity.
"What was what?" asked Barry.
"You just super-speeded something into your pocket."
"No, no Felicity, it was nothing," Alicia said quickly. "It's actually just something Ollie asked our helped with. It's information concerning Damien Darkh."
"Well, I'd like to see it, right now," Felicity said in a tone that Barry and Alicia knew not to fight with. There was no point in arguing with Felicity, especially when it came to the concerns of her boyfriend.
Barry handed it to her as he said, "I don't know what the bid deal is . . . it's just a DNA test," he said.
Felicity shook her head as she looked over the paperwork. It definitely was not just a DNA test . . . Alicia knew that. Felicity was smart enough to know that, too. "No, it isn't," she whispered.
"Felicity," whispered Alicia.
"No . . . don't say anything to me right now," said the blonde IT expert in a hurt tone of voice as she walked out of the room. Barry and Alicia turned to look at each other.
"Do you think we should . . .?" Barry started to ask.
"No, Barr, no . . . just . . . I can tell that she needs to be alone," said Alicia quickly. "Let's just get back to work . . . tonight, there's going to be such a major shit show and I want to try my best not to think about it."
Barry nodded and grabbed Alicia by the hand, squeezing it lightly before letting go and allowing his girlfriend to go back to her desk down below.
Later on that evening, after both Barry and Alicia were off from work, they were both soaking in a hot bath using Alicia's gingerbread man-scented Philosophy soap. Barry was massaging his girlfriend's shoulders while she wore a charcoal sheet mask on her face. Alicia groaned as Barry rubbed her shoulders and neck.
"Yeah . . . yeah, that's the spot," Alicia whispered.
"You're so stressed . . . you should do yoga or something babe," Barry whispered, kissing her shoulder.
"Yeah, yeah I know, Barry . . . trust me, I know," Alicia groaned as Barry rubbed at a particularly big knot in her left shoulder. "Trust me when I say that I am not having sex, babe. Sure, we may sleep in the same bed, but no sex until we're married."
"Agreed," said Barry, nodding. "I'm just a bit worried about Ollie now."
"Yeah, I know the idea of him being somebody's father . . ." said Alicia. "I feel so bad."
"Just let him figure this out himself, Leesh . . . I know you're worried about him and how Felicity is taking this all in, but, please, do not do that thing where you allow yourself to get so invested that you love and care too much. I've seen how that's affected you . . . I've seen how you retreat into yourself. You cannot save everybody's life, hun. I get it, you're selfless . . . but sometimes you need to learn to be a little bit selfish and take the day for yourself."
"I colored my hair months ago, babe . . . what more for myself would you like me to do?" asked Alicia in an exasperated tone.
"I don't know . . . go out for a night on the town with Cait and Iris and have a girls' night out . . . go to a spa, spend some more time with your mother, sister and brothers . . . take a trip to Bludhaven to visit Dick," Barry suggested.
"Are you kidding me? Bludhaven . . . where all those crazy lunatics live?" Alicia said.
"You get the point, hun," Barry said with a heavy sigh.
"Yeah, yeah I do," Alicia said.
Barry kissed the back of her head, playing with her hair softly. Before they knew it, they were out of the bath and getting dressed, Alicia blow drying and styling her hair before they headed downstairs. Everyone was there except for Oliver and Felicity. Alicia felt in her gut that Felicity was confronting Oliver about him being somebody's father. As they walked outside to find the two, they could hear Felicity saying something to Oliver along the lines of, "You don't trust me," before she walked back into the house. As a result, Oliver looked as though he'd seen a ghost.
"Are you guys okay?" Alicia asked Oliver quietly.
"Oliver? What happened?" Barry asked his friend in concern.
"Nothing, I'm fine," said Oliver as he simply walked up the steps to the farm house.
"Um, are you sure? You don't seem fine," Alicia said. "You seem out of it."
"Is everyone inside?" asked Oliver.
"Yeah," said Barry. He and Alicia proceeded to follow their friend and ally into the house, Alicia leaning a hand onto Oliver's shoulder as a silent message of "We're here for you." The minute Oliver was inside; he was all business, putting up his stoic façade.
"Coming up on Savage's deadline," Oliver announced.
"Where's Felicity?" asked Massie.
"Are the gauntlets working?" Oliver asked Caitlin, Cisco and Dominic, changing the subject entirely.
"They have to be, we're out of time," said Caitlin.
"I think they'll work. That staff's going to go from "Can't Touch This," to "Invisible Touch"," Cisco said.
"Are you sure one-hundred percent?" Alicia asked Cisco seriously. "We cannot afford any screw-ups, not tonight."
"Yes," said Cisco.
"Savage doesn't know Kendra has full access to her abilities," said Oliver, "which makes you an ace in the hole," he added in Kendra's direction. "We're going to put you up against Savage; you attack with the element of surprise. I'll lay down the cover fire. Barry, Alicia, you two speed in, switch the staff."
"We've got it," said Alicia.
"What about us?" Diggle asked. "Where do you need us?"
"This is me, Barry, Kendra, Carter and Alicia, we've got this," Oliver insisted.
"But, Ollie!" Thea said.
"No, we are not risking any more lives tonight than we have to," Oliver said, shaking his head at his sister. As he passed Barry and Alicia, he simply told them, "Suit up."
Barry and Alicia nodded, and proceeded to head upstairs to the room they were staying in. They got dressed into their Flash and Angel costuming piece by piece. Alicia placed her domino mask onto her face, letting out a sigh as she put her signature lip color on as the Angel.
"Are you ready for the shit show, Barry?" Alicia asked with a heavy sigh, closing her eyes.
"Honestly, baby, I don't know," Barry said with a sigh as he pulled his girlfriend into his arms. He pressed a kiss against her forehead. Alicia leaned her head against her boyfriend's shoulder.
"I don't know how we're gonna do this," Alicia whispered.
"Have a little faith, hun," Barry told her, pressing another kiss to her forehead before they proceeded to go off to the warehouse, where they were expected to meet with Vandal Savage. Kendra and Carter had suited up into their Hawkman and Hawkgirl suits as well. Barry and Alicia got there quicker than Oliver, Kendra and Carter did, and when they entered the warehouse, they entered with a feeling of apprehension. Alicia didn't feel comfortable doing this without extra backup from Thea, Laurel, Diggle and Massie, but, she knew that this had to be done. As they walked further into the warehouse, they saw Vandal Savage himself standing there. Alicia felt a sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach. She looked over at Barry, who reached for her hand and gave it a hard squeeze to reassure her.
"I love you," he whispered.
"Love you, too," Alicia replied back as Savage approached them.
"You brought them and dressed for the occasion I see," said Savage. Alicia groaned. She was already getting sick and tired of this guy.
"We're doing this because two lives aren't worth two cities," said Oliver in a cold tone.
"Well in that case, you are wiser than I gave you credit for, for it's been a lifetime still wearing those ridiculous outfits I see," Savage said, approaching Kendra and Carter slowly. "You don't need to be here for this. The calling has a tendency to be unsightly. Your new friends betrayed you."
"Just do what you're going to do," Carter said in a cool tone. Alicia could tell that he just wanted to get this over with just as badly as she did. She was tired, and she was hungry.
Savage let out a sigh before saying, "It's wonderful to see you again, my love," to Kendra.
"I will never be your love," Kendra said, the anger evident in her tone.
"Oh, I know," Savage said. "That always makes this . . . easier Chay-ara . . . parting is such a sweet sorrow." Just as he reached for his dagger, about to kill Kendra yet again, Oliver grabbed hold of his arm and proceeded to beat Savage over with his bow. Alicia joined in the fight, flying forward to punch Savage repeatedly in the face and chest. However, Savage soon hit her with his staff, as well as Barry, and they both went flying backward to the ground. Alicia groaned in pain as Oliver continued to fight Savage. Forcing herself up back and onto her feet, she ran back in and proceeded to get back in. However, when Savage dropped the staff, Kendra was signaled to drop the element of surprise, but, she seemed to have trouble accessing her powers despite Carter having trained her on what to do. That was the moment Carter was stabbed with two knives to the chest, which led to Kendra getting stabbed in the stomach as she attempted running in to avenge her time-misplaced lover. Oliver, Barry and Alicia instantly knew that in that moment, they didn't have a choice. Barry used the gauntlets that had been designed for him to grab hold of the staff and blast Savage with it, however, the gauntlets did not seem to be working the way that they were supposed to. Oliver and Alicia both ran in to try and help him. However, they knew that if they kept this up, Central City was going to be done for. Oliver seemed to realize that too.
"GUYS . . . go, get yourselves outta here, now!" Oliver shouted at them.
"No . . . not without you!" Alicia said. "We're not leaving you!"
"Alicia, you two have no choice you have to go! Go, go!" Oliver grunted.
"Ollie," Barry whispered, shaking his head, and with that, Barry took off running with Alicia in his arms to give her a head start at flying at super speed. Once Alicia was at the speed she was supposed to be at, she jumped up out of her boyfriend's arms and flew at high speed in the air. However, as she flew, Alicia instantly knew that she was traveling through time to reset everything that had happened in the past twenty-four hours, just as she and Barry predicted that they would. Alicia gasped in realization at the fact that they had a second chance to redo it all, but, at what cost? As she landed down on the ground beside her boyfriend, she shared a wide-eyed look with him as they both realized what they had done.
"Oh God . . ." Alicia said.
"Yeah," Barry told her as his cell phone started to ring, with Oliver's phone call telling them to meet him in the same location he had had them meet at so that they could meet with Malcolm Merlyn.
