Rito looked out the window and saw something which puzzled him. He left the room running. "This does not look good. I need to see what it is." Rito thought as he descended the stairs. He arrives at school entry but doesn't find anyone. He decided to leave school through the main gate of the school to find her. Luckily, he finds her near the school wall crying.

"Are you all right?" Rito asked approaching the child who is crying.

"No I am not. (Sob) I (Sob) I got lost (Sob) my mother! wouaaaaaaaaaa!" Said the girl crying. "Please, mister, help me find her?"

The girl had black hair and had Pigtails. She measured around 1 meter and 20 centimeters there was a green balloon in her hand and wore a yellow skirt and a white blouse.

"Sure." He said completely forgetting that he had another duty to do. "Come on. Let's go find your mom. What's your name, little girl?"

"It's Satiko." Said the girl a little more calm.

Rito held her hand and went out looking for the girl's mother.

Meanwhile, Yui was angry, the boy had fled and haven't give a satisfaction. She did not know what she should do. If she should go after the boy and bring him by force or if she should go and ask to the principal to expel him. But she knew something was wrong. "Why would he do something like that? Run away knowing that If I discovred, I was going to do something drastic... Damn... And I thought that he was a good boy. So what if he defended me against the other two boys and he gave his food to me, deep down he was just trying to fool myself... How could I be so stupid. I 'm gonna make him pay for treating me like a fool."

Satiko and Rito went to the city after her mother but had not been successful yet. "Do you by chance remember the last place you saw her?" Rito asked for the girl.

"It was a great street with several people and my mother was there." She tried to explain where she was.

"That didn't help much..." Said Rito. "And now? What can I do?"

Rito kept walking, screaming for her mother without showing that he was desperate for the girl. Then he thought of something. "I know what we can do! Let's go!"

Rite ran off while holding one of Satiko's hand. She wondered at the sudden reaction of the boy but she was a bit safer since he had a plan. They rushed to get to a police station that was nearby. Rito had remembered that when he was younger his parents told him if he got lost, he should stay where he was, or seek policeman and ask for help. They entered the police station and he explained the situation to the police. The policemen, who were there, were very attentive to them, they asked for them to wait there while two policemen were searching the surroundings behind the mother of Satiko. They even offered a glass of water which the two accepted. After 30 minutes, appeared a woman with a desperate face.

"Satiko!" The woman shouted.

"Ka-chan!" Shouted the girl to see her mother .

The two hug each other. The mother scolds her daughter saying not to go out walking alone and the girl apologizes. After the time of the meeting, the two thanked a thousand times to the boy and leave. Rito thanked the police for help. "Thank you for your help."

"No problem, that's our job. We're happy for your help . Your good action helped to reunite a family." A policeman said to Rito.

Rito gets a little embarrassed by what he said. he thanks once again and walks away. After he left the station, he felt happy that daughter and mother met each other and all ended well... But then he remembers of his duties and ran in panic. "Damn I have to come back soon and explain what happened to Kotegawa." Rito thought as he ran.

When he was nearing the school he saw Kotegawa with a angry face at the school gate. "Oh no ..." Rito thought when he see her.

Yui sees the boy coming and crosses her arms.

"H-hi Kotegawa I-" Rito tried to speak but was interrupted.

"I do not believe you ran away, Yuuki-kun." Yui shouted in a very angry tone.

"It is true that I left, but I did not run I had to leave because-" Again he tried to speak, but was interrupted.

"I do not wanna know what you were doing, you left without my permission." She said irritably.

"Listen to me." he said asking to not be interrupted. "The reason I went, was because I saw a girl who was 5 years old crying at the school gate I went there to see what had happened. She told me she had lost her mother and asked me to help her. I had to do something."

Yui was surprised and thought a bit about what he said. But, unfortunately for him, her next expression was not as expected. "You expect me to believe this lie? You not only fled but you're lying to me too?"

"But it's true."

"If this is true, why didn't you just tell me when you saw the child or when you found this girl did not come with her and explained the situation to me?"

Rito did not know why he did not do that, if he had spoken, he would have gotten away from the scolding and perhaps she even would help.

"I do not want any more of your lies! Get ready because tomorrow I 'm going to ask the director to kick you out! I'll tell him everything you have done and you will be expelled of this school!"

Rito froze at what she had said, Yui left there before Rito could say something.

Yui came home furious, slamming the door of the house and calling the attention of everyone who lived in the house. Her brother, Yuu who is a young tall and in good shape, has light brown hair and gray eyes, went to her room to see what had happened to her. "Hi Yui. What happened to you? You seem angry, I mean more than usual..." He said posting on her door.

"Is this stupid boy in my school..." Yui said to his brother. "He should help me with the tasks at school today and there when I was gonna see if he has done everthing right he is no longer there. And what's worse he lied saying that he fled because he had to help a girl of five years. What a ridiculous lie."

"Well... Maybe he's telling the truth." Yuu said scratching his cheek.

"... Are you defending him?" Yui asked already looking mad at him.

"Is that, a little earlier today when I was coming home, I saw a boy with orange hair and a girl that looked like she was abou years searching for the mother. He was screaming for her mother and trying to keep her calm her..."

This statement felt like a bomb just exploded in her head. And what if Rito was telling the truth? Yui could not believe it was the same boy, had to be a coincidence. Seeing that she had a lot to think about, Yuu went out of the room, leaving Yui alone with her own thoughts.

Meanwhile, in the House of Yuukis, Rito had just told them what had happened to him this afternoon. "This actually happened?" Mikan asked still surprised by what her brother just told. Rito nodded his head slowly.

"But don't you think she's exaggerating a bit? I think she is overreacting by expelling you just because you fled." Mikan protested.

"I also agree." Rito said looking to his sister. "But I do not think it's just that, she wanted to do something with me for a while now... This is just one more reason..."

"Do you think if she knew you went to help a girl find her mother she wouldn't be so angry with you?" Lala asked.

"Maybe... I think at least she would not expel me." He answered thoughtfully. "But maybe I had just been kicked out anyway because I left... If only she would believe me."

Mikan comes near him and puts a hand on his shoulder comforting him while Lala goes to her room.

"Mikan... Can I ask a favor?" Rito asked. "Could you not you tell our parents about my situation?"

"But, Rito, maybe if they knew they could help." Protested his sister.

"I know... Just please, let me try to solve it tomorrow. If in case I do not, I talk to them, OK?"

Mikan, then, agreed to do this favor even being against. She went to the kitchen leaving Rito in the living room thoughtfully. Hours have passed and still Rito could not think of anything. He thought about trying to find the girl, but in a city as big as Tokyo was impossible. That night he could barely sleep, thinking the worst would happen after he was expelled. In the morning when the alarm rang, he realized he had a few hours to think in something, he got out of bed , put her school clothes and went down stairs into the kitchen.

"Ohaio, Mikan!" Rito said to the sister who just has finished cooking the breakfast.

"Ohaio, Rito!" Replied the girl. "Did you think in any idea?"

"No…" He said with sadness.

"... That's not good." She answered.

He noted that Lala had not decided yet.

"Where is Lala?" Rito asked.

"I do not know." Mikan responded. "When I went to wake her she wasn't there anymore."

"And now I got this..." Rito thought. "I really would like to know where she is because if something bad happens to her will be the end of Earth."

He took the breakfast, finished getting ready and went to school. Mikan wished good luck to him and wished that it ended well for him . He thanked her and left.

As he went to school, thought about what could have happened to Lala and how to solve his problem. While he was still going to school , he heard someone calling him. "YUUKI!" Ren shouted. "What happened to Lala? Why is not she here?"

Ren held his shirt demanding answers, but Rito easily broke free. "I do not know..." Rito answered as she packed the shirt.

"How come? You're the worst guardian. If you do not care about her, I do, I'm going after her."

Ren ran after Lala, leaving Rito a little guilty that he did not go after her. But he felt that somehow she was fine I did not need to worry about her. For a minute as he kept going, he felt a bit relaxed that nothing abnormal, such as inventions that Lala invented it and tried on him, was going to happen to him but he soon remembered that something bad could happen to her and felt quite bad to have thought of that.

Rito arrived at the class and everyone realized that Lala had not appeared with him. Everyone was sad to know that she wasn't coming to school today, everyone thinks that she brings more life to the class. Rito sat down and after a few minutes Yui showed up. He expected her to come to him and inform him that he was expelled. But she sat in her place as if nothing had happened. He did not know if he should be relieved or tenser because she had not talked to him at that time, maybe she had given up expels him, or maybe she didn't want to talk to him anymore because the director had already taken charge to expel him and now only thing missing is the cordialities, and finally with these thoughts in mind, the lesson begins. Near to the break, arrives a statement to the teacher. "Let me read here... please Kotegawa Yui go to the principal's office." The teacher said to everyone.

The girl with long black hair stood up, glanced coldly at Rito, which made him feel butterflies in his stomach, and left the class. Everyone in the class began to wonder what could have happened, after all, the last person that the class would think that could have done something wrong would be Yui. Rito've wondered what it meant. At the lunchtime, Rito decides to go to the terrace. As he went to the terrace he heard someone calling his name.

"Yuuki-kun!"

Rito turns to see who it was and find out who called him was Yui Kotegawa. "Kotegawa-san... I want" Rito tried to speak but again was stopped.

"Please let me speak." She said in a calm tone. "I'm not going to make a complaint to expel you."

This news was best news he could have. "Really? THANK YOU!"

"Do not thank me." She said. "Thank my brother and Lala."

Rito did not understand.

"My brother saw you yesterday looking for the girl's mother and his descriptions was exactly like yours... Even so I didn't want to believe, though I was not so convinced expel you, so I thought I'd just talk to the principal at the end of class. But then I was called to his office, Lala was there, she handed me a tape of you yesterday at the police station with the girl she even handed me a document showing that the video is authentic. She said it took too long to take out the document and the video and that's why she did not come to class."

"So that's why she was not at home. She left early to try to prove my innocence." Rito thought looking up. "With all my heart, Lala, Thanks."

"Well... I'm sorry about yesterday. I guess that means we're good, right?" She asked.

Rito looked pretty serious to her. "We're not good, Kotegawa- san. All this could have been a lot easier if you had believed me from the beginning. You accused me of lying even though I have always been honest with you."

He walks away leaving her wordless.

"Yuuki, I..."

"If there's one thing I really hate is when people do not believe me." He said without turning to her.

Yui felt like a piano has fallen in her head. She felt so guilty, he did only good things and she always took the wrong way. Yui tried to talk to him during the rest of the class but it seemed that the words did not come out of her mouth.

When the class was over, Rito was staring at the window, Yui watched him, she did not know whether or not to call him to go to the library... After twenty minutes, he was on his own to the library, Yui was just behind him. They worked without trading a single word.

"I think that's all." Yuuki said after signing all the papers. "I think I 'm going now."

Rito was near the door when Yui got up from where she was sitting.

"Yuuki-kun, wait!" She cried stopping Rito from what he was doing. "Um… I… think… I… was wrong about you; I thought you were someone despicable... Shameless... Scoundrel and disgusting. But in this time we were together I realized that you are not like that... You're different than many boys. You have a good heart, willing to help others... and kind. I regret very much for not having believed in you from the start. So from now on I will trust on you."

Rite turned and smiled at her.

"Thanks Kotegawa-san that's just what I wanted."

Yui blushed a little.

"B-but that does not mean I will not do anything if you do something shameless, you hear? So, continue to behaving yourself because I will still keep an eye on you."

"Good... That's what I expect from you... Keep it up."

Rito came out from the library in a fast pace but he ended up not seeing that Yui had blushed even more. Rito was in a hurry, there was something he needed to solve. He managed to get his house in 10 minutes what can be considered fast since it generally takes 30 minutes.

"Tadaima." He yelled when he got at home.

"Oh! Hi Rito. Tell me, how was day?" Mikan said when she saw her brother.

"Will not be expelled... At least not this time."

"Really?" She said surprise. "What a good news. How did you manage?"

"It was not me. Was Lala." Rito said leaving Mikan surprise. "She managed to get a tape of the police station when I went with the little girl to find her mother. I still do not know how she found out where it was but ultimately what matters is that with this tape saved me."

"Wow Rito. Lucky you to have a friend that you can count on." Said Mikan giving a wink for him.

"Friend... It's been a long time since I ever thought I had a friend. Rito thought a little surprised.

"I should probably go now and thank her." Rito said.

"Go ahead. She must be in her room." She said smiling at him.

He said goodbye to Mikan and went to the room of Lala. He opened the door.

"Lala-I" Rito tried to speak... But ...

"Rito!? Watch out!" Lala shouted.

Then he was hit by a laser.

POW *

The laser ends up turning Rito into a hamster.

"Oh, so sorry, Rito! I was testing a new invention that can transform into another animal ... At least you proved it's working. And you're very cute like a hamster." She said looking to a Hamster with orange hair.

Rito began yelling at her but it was no use because she did not understand anything.

"Do not worry. I think the transformation is temporary."

"You think?" Rito hamster thought puzzled.

"Meow!"

Rito turned and saw Sakura licking its chops. Rito gulped and ran and Sakura ran after him (it?).

"Sakura wait!" - Lala shouted as she ran after the cat. "Bad, Sakura. Don't eat Rito."

NOTE: The Amazing Adventures of The Spectacular Hamster? Yeah, probably not. OH just for you to know: Ren is still looking after Lala and Yuu noticed that his was little calmer than normally… I think that's all for today. Sorry if kept you all waiting but the good news is that I wrote two more chapters.
