The Littlest Princess

Inside the castle, Baileywick pulled a cart packed with wrapped presents while Madeline and Amber watched.

"Look at all these Toys." Madeline smiled. "Too bad Sofia is off helping Gwen. She'd love this."

"Baileywick, are these all for the Gift Giving Party?" Amber asked.

"Yes, Princess Amber" Baileywick nodded, as another servant dragged more gifts.

"Wow!" Madeline gasped.

"Oh!" Amber smiled.

"And these." Baileywick added, as he lead Madeline and Amber into the ballroom, where more gifts waited, being tended to by Miranda.

"That is the biggest pile of presents I've ever seen." Madeline declared.

"It's like my birthday, times 10." Amber smiled.

"Well, there are a lot of children in the village, and each of them has to get a present." Miranda pointed out. "The Giving Day party is one of the castle's best traditions, and I really want this to be a success."

"Queen Miranda, may I Present the special Gifting Day cake for the party tomorrow!" Chef Andre announced, as he wheeled in a cake.

"Oh, it looks delicious." Miranda smiled.

"Thank you, my Queen." Chef Andre beamed.

"Incoming!" James yelped, as he rolled into the ballroom on his wheelie shoes.

"The cake!" Chef Andre gasped.

Madeline pushed the cake out of the way, leaving James to crash into the pile of presents.

"Princess Madeline, you saved the cake!" Chef Andre grinned. "Thank you!"

"You're welcome, Chef Andre." Madeline smiled.

"Sorry." James said sheepishly. "Pretty sure that was my fault. I was just trying to help you set up super fast."

"Thank you James." Miranda said kindly. "Maybe you can help by taking off the wheelie shoes and organising all these toys?"

"Sure, mom." James nodded.

"James, organise?" Amber frowned. "I'd better help too."

"I can picks flowers for the party." Madeline offered.

"That will be wonderful, Madeline." Miranda smiled.

Out in the garden, Madeline picked flowers by the fountain.

"Help us, please!" A voice suddenly cried out. "Over here!"

"Who said that?" Madeline looked around. "Sofia, is that You?"

"Over here, in the fountain!" Another voice called. "On the leaf, behind the giant waterfalls!"

Madeline walked over to the fountain, seeing a trio of tiny people on a leaf, struggling against the fountain's current.

"I see you now." Madeline declared. "Wow, you're so tiny."

"Yep." The female, Button, nodded. "We're wee sprites."

"Wee sprites?" Madeline asked.

"Little folks who roam the land, looking for big adventures!" The big-nosed one, Benngee, smiled.

"But not this big." Button frowned. "The boys thought it would be fun to swing on a leaf. I said 'no', They said 'please?' so I said 'okay, and then the next thing you know... Splash! Here we are!"

"It was better than a splash." The tall one, Brody, smiled. "It was a huge kerploosh!"

"The problem is, we're not the best swimmers." Benngee remarked. "So, uh, could you help us out?"

"Sure." Madeline nodded, looking for something that could help.

"Please hurry!" Benngee urged.

"Before we tip over!" Brody added.

Madeline picked up a stick, took the flowers out of her basket, then placed the basket on the end of the stick. She then pushed it into the fountain, grabbing the sprites.

"Gotcha!" She smiled.

Madeline's amulet glowed as she set down the basket.

"Phew, that was close." Benngee smiled.

"Benngee, we should thank the nice girl." Button told him.

"Should we give her a bravo bouqet?" Benngee asked

"Let's do it!" Brody smiled.

They leapt out of the basket, and cartwheeled over to a patch of flowers. They jumped on one flower each, broke them off, then floated over to Madeline.

"Comin' in for a landing!" Brody smiled.

Madeline held out her hands, catching them.

"Thank you for saving us." Benngee smiled, as they gave Madeline the flowers.

"And thank you for the flowers." Madeline grinned. "Wow, that looked like fun! I wish I could be small like you..."

Madeline's amulet's started to glow, and she was engulfed in a flash of light.

"Hey, where'd she go?" The sprites asked together.

"Um, I'm right here." Madeline declared.

"Right where?" Button asked.

A tiny Madeline emerged from behind the basket.

"Wow." She looked around. "How did everything get so big?"

"How did you get so small?" Button asked. "I've never seen anyone shrink like that."

"Unless it was a magic spell." Benngee declared.

"It wasn't a spell, but it was magic!" Madeline realised. "Sometimes my amulet gives me special powers when I do nice things."

"Like rescuing us from the fountain!" Benngee declared.

"Exactly!" Madeline nodded. "It must have given me the power to be little like you!" She cartwheeled over to a flower, pulling off the top and gliding down with it. "Now I can do all the fun stuff that you guys do. Whoo-hoo! I like being small."

"Just wait." Benngee smiled. "Gets even better."

"Check this out." Brody smiled, as they led her into the grass. "Hahaha!"

"Garden looks a wee bit different from down here, huh?" Benngee grinned.

"So different." Madeline admitted, as they bounced on mushrooms. "It's amazing!"

Madeline: I've seen fields of grass
But never this tall
A mole hill is a mountain
When you're this small

Everything looks different
When you change your point of view
The flowerbed's a forest
The garden is a zoo
And the falling rain is only drops of dew

In this small new world
There's so much more to see
In this small new world
I'm buzzin' like a bee
It's a small new world
And all of it is beautiful to me

Who wants to grow up
And be really big?
When it's more fun
To pole vault using a twig
I can ride a robin to a party in its nest
Or join a band of squirrels on a wild acorn quest
My little friends are sure to be impressed

In this small new world
There's so much more to see
In this small new world
I'm buzzin' like a bee
It's a small new world
And all of it is beautiful to me

There's no place
That I would rather be
This small new world is
Big enough for me

They all rode back to the fountain on dandelions.

"That was a blast!" Benngee grinned as they landed. "Who's up for another dandelion ride?"

"It's getting late." Madeline realised. "I'd better go inside. ...Oh, but I can't go like this! I need to be big again!"

Madeline's amulet started to glow. She suddenly returned to full size.

"So that amulet lets you get big or small whenever you want?" Button asked.

"I guess so." Madeline shrugged.

"Wow, neat trick." Benngee smiled.

"It sure is." Madeline shook Button's hand with her finger. "Well, good night."

"It's not a good night any more." Brody pouted. "We wanna keep playing with you!"

"I was having a good time too." Madeline sighed.

"Then let's keep the good times rolling!" Benngee urged. "Hey, maybe we could stay at your place tonight!"

"Oh yes, please!" Button grinned. "We don't want to invite ourselves over, but... can we?"

"Um, let me ask my mom." Madeline suggested.

Madeline returned to the ballroom.

"Mom, I met these really nice wee sprites when I was out picking flowers for you!" She told Miranda.

"Thanks, Madeline!" Miranda took the flowers. As she put them in a vase, she turned back. "Did you say 'wee sprites'?"

"Uh-huh." Madeline nodded. "And I was wondering if they could sleep over tonight?"

"I don't think that's a good idea." Miranda frowned.

"Why not?" Madeline asked.

"Well, once I knew this candlemaker who once let some wee sprites into his cottage, and they caused all kinds of mischief." Miranda declared.

"These wee sprites seem really nice to me." Madeline mused.

"I'm sorry." Miranda apologised. "The answer's 'no'. You can play with them tomorrow, as long as you stay outside."

"Okay." Madeline sighed.

Madeline, wearing a pink coat met with the sprites in the garden.

"I'm sorry, guys." She apologised. "My mom said she doesn't think it's a good idea to have you in the castle."

"But we're so small, and your castle is so big!" Button protested. "Your mom won't even see us!"

"Button's right." Benngee smiled. "You can just put us in your pockets, and sneak us in!"

"I don't know..." Madeline frowned. "My mom said not to. And I share a room with my sister, Sofia..."

"But it'll be so much fun!" Brody beamed.

"Princess Madeline, you may not know this, but wee sprites throw the best slumber parties." Benngee declared. "I'm not telling you what to do, but you can have the time of your life, or go to bed and miss all the fun. I'm just saying."

"Okay, let's do it." Madeline sighed. "But watch out for Sofia. She can't stand a mess."

The sprites jumped into Madeline's pockets, and she carried them into the castle.

As they passed the ballroom, Baileywick declared "I'm certain that this year's party will be the best one yet."

"Party?" Benngee asked, as he and Brody popped up. "Now that's what I'm talking about!"

"Shh." Button hissed.

Madeline went upstairs to her and Sofia's room, where Sofia was already.

"Made it." She whispered. "Sofia, how was it with Gwen?"

"Great." Sofia smiled, before noticing the bulges in Madeline's pockets. "What are in your pockets?"

"I'll show you." Madeline answered. "But don't tell mom, okay?"

"Okay." Sofia nodded.

"Come out, guys." Madeline smiled.

The sprites jumped out of her pockets.

"Whoa, look at this place!" Brody gasped.

"Who are these?" Sofia asked.

"These are my new friends, the wee sprites." Madeline smiled.

"Nice to meet you all." Sofia grinned.

"Nice to meet you too." Benngee smiled.

"Okay guys, we have all kinds of games to play." Madeline declared. "And you can sleep in our dollhouse."

"Sleep?" Button snorted. "No way! We have playing to do! Come on Madeline, what are you waiting for? Get small and play with us!"

"Get small?" Sofia asked. "What does she mean?"

"I saved them from the fountain, and my amulet gave me the power to shrink." Madeline explained. "Watch. I wish to be small."

Madeline shrunk down again

"Wow." Sofia gasped. "Too bad I wasn't there. I'd love to be able to do that!"

"It'd be fun to have you with us." Madeline nodded.

"Tag, you're it!" Brody tapped Madeline on the shoulder.

The sprites raced into the dollhouse.

"Okay, here I come!" Madeline followed them inside. "Hello?"

She saw them run upstairs.

"A-ha, I see you!" She ran after them. "Where are you guys? You can run, but you can't hide!" She looked around the seemingly empty bedroom. "Hmm, I guess you can hide..."

The sprites suddenly sprung up around her, each holding pillows.

"Pillow fight, pillow fight!" Benngee cheered.

"Good one!" Madeline giggled, as they hit her playfully.

"Double whammy!" Brody grinned, as he and Button hit Benngee.

"I have a secret weapon!" Madeline rushed to the bed. "A bigger pillow! Just try and get me now!"

"Aren't you glad you snuck us in?" Benngee smiled.

Madeline nodded, and they continued the pillow fight. As they did, Madeline's amulet started glowing.

The next morning, Madeline woke up in bed, still small.

"Where am I?" She wondered, before realising. "Oh... I'm still small." She held her Amulet. "I wish to be big again." Nothing happened. "I said I'd like to be big! Please make me big again! Oh, why isn't it working?" She looked around. Sofia was already gone, probably helping with the party. "Benngee! Guys? Something's wrong!"

Madeline slid down the bed's drapes, and rushed over to the dollhouse.

"Hello?" She called. Anyone here? Guys?"

There was no answer, so Madeline entered.

"Hello? Are you asleep?" She gasped, realising the inside of the house was all messed up, with stairs and windows in every direction. "What did you guys do to my dollhouse?"

Clover entered the bedroom.

"Mornin', girls!" He called, before seeing the room was empty.

"Clover!" Madeline called.

Clover hopped over to the dollhouse.

"Madeline?" He asked.

"Down here!" Madeline urged.

"What happened to you?" Clover gasped.

"Yesterday, my Amulet gave me the power to get small whenever I want." Madeline explained. "But now, it won't let me get big."

"Okay, what did you do?" Clover frowned.

"What do you mean?" Madeline asked.

"Every time something strange like this happens to you and your sis, it's cuz your Amulets cursed you for doing something wrong." Clover pointed out. "So what did you do?"

"I brought wee sprites in the castle, even though my mom said not to!" Madeline realised.

"You let wee sprites in the castle?!" Clover gasped.

"Is that bad?" Madeline asked.

"Yes, bad!" Clover nodded. "I've had run-ins with those guys before. All they do is run around, making trouble!"

"But mom's party is today." Madeline frowned. "What if they try to mess it up?"

"Oh, you got more important things to worry about." Clover declared. "Like breaking this curse!"

"Well, since I got cursed by bringing them into the castle, maybe I can break the curse by getting them out." Madeline mused. "But first, I have to find them!"

"Well, hop on, little Princess." Clover let Madeline jump on his back. "I'll help you look."

Meanwhile, Miranda and Baileywick were inspecting the party decorations.

"Ah, the balloons look great!" Miranda smiled. "Madeline's supposed to help too. Where is she?"

"We haven't seen her all morning." Amber shrugged.

"She's probably sleeping in." Sofia shrugged. "She had a busy night..."

"Huh?" James asked.

"Nothing." Sofia said quickly.

"Well, I'm sure she'll show up soon." Miranda shrugged. "Ooh, look how you arranged the toys!"

The wee sprites poked out from behind a table.

"Whoa, this is gonna be some party!" Benngee grinned.

"Once we get through with it." Brody smirked.

"Oh, I'm so excited, I could burst!" Button squealed. "That gives me an idea. Follow me!"

Amber finished blowing up a balloon.

"There, that's the last balloon." She smiled.

Suddenly, a bunch of balloons behind her popped.

"Who did that?" Amber gasped. "James?"

"Wasn't me!" James insisted.

On the table, Brody threw a pin at a balloon, popping it.

"Nice throwin'!" Benngee chuckled.

The sprites pushed a ball off the table.

"There it goes!" Benngee grinned, as it rolled into a pile of presents. "There it goes!"

The sprites cheered as the pile collapsed.

"Who threw that?" Miranda asked.

"I don't know!" Baileywick shrugged.

"I have an idea..." Sofia frowned.

Meanwhile, Clover (Madeline still on his back) slid down the bannister, and landed on the floor.

"Benngee? Button?" Madeline called. "Where are you?"

Madeline heard the sounds of laughter coming from the kitchen.

"In there!" She pointed.

As they entered, they saw the sprites climbing the cake.

"No!" Madeline gasped. "They're on the cake!"

Clover hopped over to the cake.

"Stop!" Madeline yelled. "What are you doing?"

"Oh, hi, Madeline!" Button smiled. "Hey, bunny! We thought it would be fun to climb this cake, so we tried it, and we were right!"

Brody suddenly lost his grip, falling into the icing on the lower part of the cake.

"Mmm, that's what I love about parties." He smiled. "They always have cake!"

"But... you're messing it up!" Madeline frowned. "Um, I have an idea. Why don't we play outside?"

"Maybe later, Princess." Benngee shrugged. "First, we wanna open that cool-looking present!" He pointed to the present on top of the cake.

"But I can't get big again until you leave the castle." Madeline declared.

"Why get big?" Brody asked. "Being small is so much more fun!"

"Brody's right." Benngee nodded. "In fact, you should climb the cake with us!"

"No!" Madeline yelled. "You're ruining it! Please just come down, right now!"

"Well, if you say so..." Benngee smirked.

The sprites jumped off the cake, each pulling one of the present's ribbons. As they dropped to the ground, the cake tipped over.

"The cake!" Madeline gasped, as Clover leapt out of the way.

The pieces of the cake splattered on the sprites.

"Whoo!" Brody cheered, as they popped out of it. "We've got to do that again!"

"Queen Miranda, you must see the little decoration I put on the top of the cake." Chef Andre voice was heard from outside.

"I hear big people." Benngee whispered. "Let's move out!"

"I can't let my mom see me." Madeline whispered.

They all raced out of the room, just as Miranda and Andre entered.

"My cake!" Andre gasped.

"How could this have happened?" Miranda asked.

"I do not know, my queen." Andre frowned. "But I promise you will have a new cake for the party. Thought I do not know if I will have time to make it one hundred layers."

"Please, Chef Andre, make as many as you can." Miranda urged.

"Princess, we gotta get those guys outta here." Clover declared. "I say we give 'em a ride on the Clover express!"

"What's the Clover express?" Madeline asked.

"Hop on." Clover urged. "I'll explain on the way."

"What is going on here today?" Miranda frowned, as she returned to the ballroom.

"Don't worry, your majesty." Baileywick declared. "I'll straighten this up in a jiffy."

As Miranda helped, she noticed something on the floor.

"Baileywick, do these look like tiny footprints to you?" She asked.

"Yes." Baileywick nodded.

"It's wee sprites!" Miranda gasped. "Where is Madeline?"

"I haven't seen her all day." Baileywick shrugged.

"Well, I need to talk to her right away, Baileywick." Miranda declared, as the sprites (riding a unicycle) raced by, followed by Clover and Madeline. "If you see her, tell her I'm looking for her."

"Yes, your majesty." Baileywick nodded.

The unicycle bumped down the stairs, Clover in hot pursuit.

"Ready for operation: sprites out?" Clover asked.

"Ready." Madeline nodded.

The sprites crashed on the floor, just as Sofia came by.

"There you are." She frowned. "Where's...?

Clover hopped down to the sprites.

"You call that a ride?" Madeline called. "Guess you've never ridden my friend Clover here."

"Sofia?" Madeline gaped.

"Are you still playing with your new friends?" Sofia asked. "And what's with all the mess I've been hearing about?"

"It's a long story." Madeline frowned.

"I wanna do what she's doin'!" Brody declared, pointing at Madeline.

"I was thinkin' the same thing, my friend." Benngee smiled.

Clover stopped beside them.

"Hey, Madeline." Benngee crooned. "Can, uh, we take a turn?"

"Umm... sure!" Madeline grinned.

The sprites climbed on Clover.

"That's it, Clover." Madeline whispered. "Now take them outside. Go!"

"Woo-woo!" Clover started hopping. "Make way for the Clover express!"

"Maddie!" Sofia yelled. "Don't forget about the-"

"I won't!" Madeline yelled, wanting to keep the sprites from hearing the word 'party'.

"This bunny goes fast!" Benngee cheered. "And I like it!"

"On your left, we have the throne room, straight ahead is the tea room, and over here is a shortcut to the garden!" Madeline pointed out.

Clover rushed into the garden, kicking the door closed after him. He then leaned back, causing the sprites to slide off.

"Come on!" Benngee yelled. "That ride was too short!"

"I'm sorry, but I had to get you out of the castle to break my curse." Madeline apologised. "And now that I did... I wish to be big again!" Nothing happened. "Huh? Why didn't it work? I-I got you guys out of the castle..."

"Ah, ya think ya did, but really..." Benngee vanished in a puff of purple smoke, reappearing in the castle. "Ya didn't! You see, once you let wee sprites in, ya can't get us out!" He puffed back into the garden.

"It's a wee sprite magic thing!" Brody smirked. "We just pop back inside! Pretty neat, huh?"

"No, it's not pretty neat!" Madeline groaned.

"Well, there is one way you could get rid of us... Ooh!" Button covered her mouth. "I shouldn't have said that... Never mind, we're here to stay!"

"So there is a way to get you to leave?" Madeline asked. "You have to tell me!"

"Now why would we do that?" Benngee popped back inside. "We're having such a great time!"

The others hid as a servant walked by, carrying a plate of rolls. He opened the door, leaving it ajar.

"Whoo, looks like the party's about to start!" Button cheered.

"Diving contest in the punch bowl!" Brody smiled.

"And more presents to open!" Benngee added.

The sprites all popped away.

"Oh Clover, this is terrible!" Madeline groaned. "I'm going to be little forever!"

"Madeline?" Miranda called. "Madeline?"

Madeline and Clover hid behind a pillar as Miranda approached.

"Madeline?" Miranda called again.

"We can't let her see you like this." Clover whispered.

"Oh Clover, what if I never get big again?" Madeline sighed.

"We'll figure something out." Clover promised.

"No." Madeline said firmly. "I have to tell mom about the sprites."

Madeline walked towards the ballroom. Inside, Miranda was looking around.

"Has anyone seen Madeline?" She asked. She stopped as she saw the sprites playing in the punch bowl. "...Wee sprites."

Miranda walked over to the punch bowl.

"She's on to us!" Benngee hissed. "Let's go!"

"Hold it right there!" Miranda yelled.

As the sprites climbed out of the punch bowl, they tipped it over, spilling the contents all over the floor.

"Punch bath!" Brody sang as they ran.

Miranda gave chase. The sprites reached another unicycle.

"Quick, jump on!" Benngee ordered.

The sprites jumped on the unicycle, riding it out of the ballroom, across the corridor, and down the stairs. Miranda followed. As they reached the bottom of the stairs, the sprites crashed. As Madeline rushed to them, Miranda grabbed a nearby serving dome.

"Ohh, what are you up to now?" Madeline asked.

"She's after us!" Button yelped, as Miranda rushed over.

"Run, run!" Benngee yelled.

As Miranda lowered the dome, the sprites escaped, and Madeline was caught instead.

"Got you!" Miranda smiled.

"What's going on?" Sofia rushed over.

"You'll see." Miranda declared. As she lifted the dome, she was shocked to see who she'd caught. "Madeline?!"

"Mom." Madeline sighed.

"It can't really be you, can it?" Miranda asked, lifting Madeline up on her hand. "What happened to you?"

"I... I was cursed." Madeline admitted.

"Cursed?" Sofia frowned. "Why?"

"Because I didn't listen to mom, and brought the wee sprites in the castle." Madeline confessed. "I'm sorry, mom"

"You know, when I say 'no' to you, it's for a good reason." Miranda pointed out. Sofia said but Mom the important thing is to figure out how to undo your curse."

"I think I have to get the wee sprites out of the castle." Madeline declared. "But I tried, and they wouldn't stay out!"

"I know how to do it..." Miranda smiled. "Remember how I told you the candle maker let wee sprites in his cottage, and they caused a lot of mischief?"

"Uh-huh." Madeline nodded.

"Well, it took some time, but he finally figured out the secret to getting rid of them." Miranda declared.

"What is it?" Madeline asked.

"Yeah, what?" Sofia asked.

"To get them out of your home for good, you have to get the wee sprites to say out loud that they want to leave." Miranda revealed.

"But... how am I going to do that?" Madeline wondered.

"Well first, we have to find them..." Miranda pointed out.

They were interrupted by the sound of something breaking.

"Just follow the sound of things breaking." Sofia pointed out.

In the ballroom, the sprites were playing around.

"Hey, check this out!" Benngee called.

"Let's get crankin'!" Brody cheered, as he turned the crank of a jack-in-the-box.

"Watch out below!" Benngee whooped, as he and Button emptied a sack full of marbles.

"One, two, three, four, five!" Brody yelled, setting of the jack-in-the-boxes in turn.

"Not so fast!" Miranda yelled.

"Catch us if you can!" Benngee taunted, as the sprites ran into the maze-like pile of gifts.

Madeline followed them in, surprising them and causing them to change course. As Madeline gave chase, the sprites split up. Cackling madly, Benngee rounded the outside of the pile. He bumped into Brody. As they collapsed, Button joined them. They were then confronted by Madeline. They tried to run out, but were faced with Sofia.

"Hey, no fun!" Brody frowned.

"Oh, you want fun?" Miranda asked. "Why didn't you ask?" She held up a toy coach. "How about a ride in a brand new coach?"

The sprites cheered. Miranda set the coach down on the floor.

"Yeaaah!" Benngee jumped into the coach. "Woo-hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo!"

Brody and Button joined him.

"Whoaa!" Button whooped.

"Unga-bunga!" Brody yelped.

"Will it go fast?" Button asked.

"Ooh, super-duper fast!" Brody cheered.

"Yes, you will." Miranda smiled, whispering to Madeline. "Steer the coach into that little toy castle."

"I don't understand." Madeline frowned. "How will this get rid of the wee sprites?"

"Madeline, you didn't listen to me yesterday, and look what happened." Miranda said sternly. "This time, you have to listen."

"She has a point, you know." Sofia noted.

"Okay, mom." Madeline sighed.

Miranda placed Madeline on the coachman's seat, and wound up the key.

"Hold on!" She smiled.

The wooden horse whinnied as the coach zoomed across the ballroom. The sprites whooped, unaware that they were heading right towards a toy castle. Once they entered, the castle's gates closed, trapping them.

"Hey, what did you do that for?" Button asked.

"How are we supposed to get out?" Benngee growled.

"You can't, you're trapped!" Miranda smiled.

"Let us out of here!" Button yelled.

"We want out of this castle!" Benngee agreed.

"Let us out now!" Brody demanded.

"Did you just say you wanted to leave the castle?" Miranda asked.

The sprites gasped.

"You tricked us!" Benngee yelled, as all three of them started to glow.

"You tricked them!" Madeline smiled.

"Way to go, mom!" Sofia cheered.

Miranda opened the castle's window, and the sprites floated out. Button tried to hang on, but failed, and they all flew up and out an open window.

"Please let me get big again, please let me get big again..." Madeline told her amulet. "please let me get big again!"

Madeline finally returned to her normal size.

"Oh, Madeline!" Miranda beamed.

"Mom!" Madeline smiled as they hugged.

"You're back to normal, Maddie!" Sofia joined in on the hug.

"I'm so sorry I didn't listen to you, and caused a big mess." Madeline told Miranda.

"Oh, it's okay." Miranda smiled. "The important thing is that you're all better. And you learned that if you don't listen to your mother, you might get cursed."

Outside, the sprites were recovering from their eviction.

"Well, it was fun while it lasted." Benngee sighed.

"Where to now?" Brody asked.

Later, the party was in full swing.

"Let the Gifting Day party begin!" Baileywick announced.

The village kids all unwrapped their gifts.

"Awesome!"

"I've always wanted one of those!"

"Thank you!"

Miranda hugged Madeline and Sofia.

After the party ended, the royal family saw off their guests.

"Happy Gifting Day!" Miranda waved.

"Bye, everyone!" Madeline smiled.

"Goodbye!" Sofia added.

As the royal family went inside, Sofia and Madeline spotted the sprites on the steps.

"Guess we gotta find ourselves a new place to live." Brody moaned.

"Hi, Madeline." Benngee sighed. "Hi, Sofia."

"Are you guys mad at us because we tricked you out of the castle?" Madeline asked.

"We're really sorry, Madeline." Benngee apologised. "We got a little carried away."

"It's alright." Sofia smiled.

"Is that why you're so sad?" Madeline asked.

"Well that, and also, being in your castle reminded us of how nice it is to have a home, instead of always moving from place to place to place to place..." Button started crying.

"We miss having a home of our own." Benngee admitted.

"Hmmm, we sure do." Brody sighed.

"Hmm, I think I have an idea." Madeline smiled. "But let me check with my mom first."

"What do you have in mind, Maddie?" Sofia asked.

"You'll see..." Madeline grinned.

The next morning, a model castle had been placed by the side of a lake, and was being used by the sprites as an abode. Sofia and Madeline kneeled beside it.

"Well, what do you think?" Madeline asked.

"Oh, it's great!" Button smiled. "I can't believe we have our very own house, Madeline!"

"You're the best friend we've ever had!" Benngee declared. "actually, you're the only friend we've ever had."

"Unga-bunga!" Brody cheered.

Suddenly, Madeline's Amulet started to glow.

"And whenever you want to meet up, for an outside playdate, I'll be right up there." Madeline pointed to the castle.

"Well, why wait?" Button asked. "Let's play right now!"

"Okay." Madeline nodded. "Ohh, I wish I could get little again, though."

Madeline suddenly shrunk.

"Oh no!" Sofia gasped.

"What have I done?" Madeline fretted. "I wanna be big again!"

Madeline returned to normal size.

"I think your Amulet gave you back your shrinking power!" Sofia smiled.

"'Cause you found us a home." Brody grinned.

"What can I say?" Benngee asked. "When you help out a wee sprite, good things happen."

"You're it!" Button tapped Madeline on the leg.

"Madeline's it!" Brody whooped.

"She's it, she's it!" Benngee added.

"I want to be small again." Madeline shrunk down.

"Ooh-hoo-hoo-hoo, there she goes!" Benngee cheered.

"Ready or not, here I come!" Madeline raced into the castle.

"Have fun, Maddie." Sofia smiled, as she returned to the castle.
