Sesshomaru's POV

I smiled instead, and then pulled her to the side. "Any sign of her?"

She sighed deeply, and then looked at me in the eye. "I'm sorry…"

"You don't need to apologize." I stated.

"I'll try… To find her." She promised.

"Alright, but be careful."

She nodded and pulled out a flower petal from her hair. NOTE: I know… I copied from Kagura… "Goodbye for now Sesshomaru." She waved and flew off.

I gave a slight wave and strolled back to the others. "Where are you?" I asked myself. "I hope someday…" I looked at the leaves on the trees. "We can meet again."

Title: Inuyasha's Betrayal

Inuyasha's POV

This is stupid… No Naraku or Jewel Shards!

"Wow… No Naraku in sight." Miroku read my mind.

"Any Jewel Shards, Kagome?" Sango asked her best friend.

"I don't sense any…" Kagome said softly.

"Maybe you're not concentrating hard enough." Kikyo exploded.

"Kikyo…" I warned.

"Of course I can sense one from here. It's moving away from us." Kikyo smiled.

"Which way?" I questioned.

"There." She pointed and looked at me. "Inuyasha and I will go."

"Are you…" Sango started. "Sure?"

"Yes." Kikyo replied bitterly.

"Um… Let's go then." I said quickly and avoided Kikyo's eye contact.

"Bye." Kagome had a hurt look on her face.

"Sorry, I'll be right back." I whispered when I walked past her. "Be in command until I come back ok?"

"Yeah…" Kagome gave a slight smile.

"Wait." Sango called. "Could it be Kohaku's shard?"

"It isn't." Kikyo said. "But Inuyasha and I will check it out."

Kagome looked away.

"Let's go Inuyasha."

"Uh… right."

Kikyan's POV

I was walking in a flower field. Someone's coming! I quickly snapped around and started walking.

"Halt!" A bitter voice shouted.

I turned around and my eyes met Inuyasha's… Kikyo aimed an arrow at me. I froze. "Not again…" I muttered softly.

"Kikyo." Inuyasha stopped her.

"She works for that bastard, she must be killed. I should've done this sooner…" Kikyo explained.

"But Kikyo… Kikyan has good intentions." Inuyasha backed me up.

"Looks can be very deceiving Inuyasha my love." Kikyo said and I snapped back in shock.

My love?

"This woman in front of us is a killer." Kikyo finally stated. She let go.

"No!" Inuyasha exclaimed.

I couldn't move! Probably… because Kikyo put some kind of freezing spell on me or something… Still… Even if I did move, it would've been too late…

Inuyasha's POV

I tried running towards Kikyan, but she was too far away. Even if I put all of my effort into it, it would still be too late! But then, something white ran past me and carried Kikyan away. Smoke sprayed upwards. (Like when you slide on dirt…) When it cleared up, Sesshomaru was there with his arm protectively around her waist. He turned towards her.

"Are you alright? I told you to be careful…" Sesshomaru sighed.

"I'm sorry Sesshomaru." Kikyan apologized.

"Never mind that, are you alright?" Sesshomaru changed the subject.

"Yeah, thank you." She nodded.

"What the hell are you doing here?" I blurted. I frowned when I saw Sesshomaru tightening his grip around her waist.

"Keh, you should've been thanking me… She would've been killed by… ugh, your beloved." He replied with disgust.

I looked at Kikyan… Sesshomaru's right though. A minute later and she would've been… I couldn't take it! "If you love me that much, you would've listened." I hissed at Kikyo.

"Evil surrounds her." Kikyo replied.

I couldn't take her bitter words. Especially when it's about Kikyan! I slapped Kikyo, hard. "Don't you dare say that!" I yelled and ran off.

"Inuyasha!" Kikyo called as I ran into the shadows.

(NOTE: I doubt that slap would've hurt Kikyo anyway, she's made of clay in all… Sorry I'm an Inu/Kag fan lol.)

Sesshomaru's POV

"Why does everybody hate me?" A little voice mumbled.

I turned and looked at Kikyan's sad face. "No one hates you." I soothed.

"Kikyo." She said.

"Oh…" I whispered.

"It feels like the whole world despises me. I don't know if that is really true or not… But it feels like it… I would live alone… And die alone. No one would stand by my side. I would have no one, but my own shadow." She muttered silently. "It's better if I wasn't alive at all…"

"Don't say that… Forget what she said. Better yet, don't even listen to her. You still have me and Inuyasha… and maybe…" I started.

"Maybe 'her'?" She asked.

"Most likely… Anyway, go find Inuyasha. I'm going back to the usual… (Sigh) Finding that bastard, and killing him." I told her. She nodded and I left, leaving her and Kikyo alone.
