I know its been awhile...
I'm sorry! But I hope you enjoy!
Tris POV
"Hey Tris, do you still like Four?"
"No, oh god no." I tell Christina with a fake girly laugh.
Really I didn't know how I feel about Four anymore. Hurt was the word that came up first when thinking of the emotions I've had over the past couple of weeks I've been back.
I do miss his company.
"Okay, are you sure?" Christina asks rolling on to her stomach facing my direction. "Positive." I reply, giving her a smile that quite doesn't meet my eyes.
"Well, what about we go get some food." Zeke says starring to get up. "Guys I'm starving."
Getting up, I knew we would only be at the restaurant for about a half hour before heading home. But it of cause was getting late and the party would have finished or at least died down by now.
Gathering my things I start to making my way to my car. But soon enough all the girls were running and screaming about who was going to be shot gun.
Out of the blue I hear a voice behind me. "Hey." Zeke says slowly jogging up to me.
"You lie." Zeke says once his next to me as we lag behind the girls. I look at him skeptically. "And what do you mean?" I ask looking back at the girls. I turn back to look at Zeke.
He smirks and I'm suddenly worried. "About liking Four." He walks proudly tugging on the kit his carrying over his shoulder.
"I don't Zeke." I put my hand out to stop him. We face each other but none of the girls seem to notice.
"I need your help." I tell him. "I'm sick of just being short stop and thanks to Four's new girlfriend, I'm left there." I explain. "I want to be able to do both, I love pitching but on breaks I want to still be able to play."
Zeke looks around. "Have you asked Tori yet?" I shake my head. "Although I did talk to Cara about it and her and Four got all defensive about it." Zeke huffs in annoyance.
He doesn't speak for the next couple of minutes. And the look on his face tells me his having an argument with himself. I can't help but think there's something his leaving out about Four.
"Fine, I'll help you." I smile at the news. "But we start early and we continue until late at night." I nod.
I would normally ask why but looking a the expression on Zekes face tells me I should just leave it.
"When do we start?" I ask with a smile. He looks down at me. "Tomorrow, I'll meet you here at 7:30." He starts walking towards the exit.
"You coming Tris?" He yells when he notices I'm not next to him. I hesitate for a before running up to him.
"Look Tris I know your worried about Four, but it's just." He sighs. "Four hasn't really been very friend like lately." He glimpses at me for a second. "Do you know what I mean? I feel like I've lost my best friend."
I don't respond, were out of the gate and back at the cars now and the thought that Zeke had my annoyance with Four didn't make it as bad knowing someone was in my shoes.
"I'll meet you guys there." I tell Shauna as I start to walk away from the car to my own. I fumble with my keys for a second before unlocking it and placing my kit in the boot and getting in the driver's seat.
At the restaurant
Pulling up to the car park, I didn't feel as hungry as I was before. I take a deep breath as I get out of the car and enter the restaurant.
I can see the girls waving their hands in the air like idiots almost immediately. Laughing I walk to their table sitting down beside Will who smiles at me lightly.
For the next 2 hours we try to eat our meals, and but try Zeke keeps flinging chips across the table. Not to mention Christina and Marlene think its appropriate to sing really loud Taylor Swift. Luckily the restaurant was almost half empty or I would of just left.
Once we did get in to the cars. I brought home all of the girls while Will took home Zeke and Uriah.
Later that night
Finally walking in to my bedroom. I shut the door lightly before falling onto my bed the sounds of laughter still fill the lounge room and backyard but I was to tired to care.
I quickly get changed and slip under the covers. Almost falling asleep instantly. I can't wait for tomorrow...
