[Shiro's POV]
My group that charged into the looming Haunted Mansion consisted of Kiburi the Sableeye, Dante the Dusknoir, and Maemi the Misdreavous. Everybody else was grouped with Evo, Axel, and Kyuna becoming individual leaders. Yukari complained at this but we couldn't really help it seeing as she lacked leadership skills.

As soon as all of our teams entered through the large metal gates, we sprinted across a hallway leading to 7 different corridors. All the ghost-type Pokemon who were familiar with the Haunted Mansion led everybody into the deepest, darkest, places in order to hide themselves. In my group that was Dante, the town chief.

"Remember the plan." I reminded everybody of our plan. It was quite simple actually.

Infiltrate without being detected.

Knock out anyone who detects you as long as you aren't outnumbered or overpowered.

Finally, find the big leader of the Dark Platoon who was called "Lord" and wore a crown.

Everybody nodded understandingly at each other and we all split up, taking a different path while the Duskull brothers faded into the ceiling's darkness and floated away.

"Follow me." Dante floated forward quickly and led our group into the 7th corridor.

"Where are we going?" I asked, but my question wasn't answered as Dante suddenly pulled me into the dark wall in the corridor. I looked over his large hands to see 2 Houndours run quickly over, growling.

"I heard something over here!" Houndour number 1 growled, looking around the dark corridor and sniffed the air.

"Damn it, couldn't those bloody ghost-types ever light a candle here?!" Houndour number 2 complained, looking up at the window-tinted ceiling.

"Just light the carpet it's not even our property anyways. It'll be okay to burn a few things." Houndour number 1 barked at Houndour number 2. Houndour no.2 nodded and began to breath fire when Kiburi jumped forward, surprising the two Houndours.

"Die scum." He breathed before pumping his claws and fist into their bodies. Houndour no.1 recovered quickly while No.2 took the brunt of Kiburi's attack.

"Damn it! An insect got in!" Houndour no.1 barked and jumped up in order to pounce onto Kiburi and had his mouth agape showing all of his sharp fangs. Kiburi's eyes gleamed at the Houndour and jumped away to avoid the Bite. He then grabbed the Houndour's head and slammed it into his, knocking the Houndour out completely.

"Trespassing and destroying…that's all you Dark-types know how to do…." Kiburi hissed at the Houndours. I widened my eyes as Kiburi lifted up his claws up in order to deal a fatal blow to the Houndours however Dante suddenly dropped my and grabbed Kiburi's hand to stop Kiburi from doing the deed.

"Let's make haste." Dante said, and waved a hand towards Maemi and me in order for us to continue following.

"Keh," Kiburi clicked his tongue.

"Again, where are we going?" I asked.

"The Dining Room, that's the place where most of our Spirit Town activities happen and is easily the biggest area in the entire Mansion," Dante answered.

I nodded and looked back to the Houndours on the ground and dragged them to the shadows of the wall.

"Good idea, we shouldn't make any alerts." Dante nodded at me, suddenly there was a big bang behind one of the walls around us.

"Looks like we're gonna have to deal with some alerts." I muttered as howls and growls were heard behind the walls. "These are pretty thin aren't they?" I said aloud inching closer to the shadow-covered wall.

"It provides easy transportation when we pass through them." Maemi answered suddenly appearing in front of me through the wall, scaring the crap out of me and making me jump back with my ears back. Maemi giggled and smiled at us.

"It seems the ones on the other side of wall are Axel's team. They're doing quite a bang up job if you ask me." Maemi informed the conditions of the other side.

"It was unavoidable, there are probably more dark-type Pokemon swarming throughout the Mansion. I didn't expect this to happen to quickly though!" I growled and looked at Dante. "What's at the end of the corridor!?" I demanded.

Dante pointed quickly at the end of corridor, knowing how urgent the situation was. "There are stairs at the end of the hallway. Go up them and enter throughout of the large gray door up the stairs and you'll be in the dining hall." Dante answered.

"Are there any other ways to enter through it?!" I asked quickly as another crash came from the other side of both walls of the corridor.

Dante thought for a few seconds, but then Kiburi raised his hand.

"There's an underground corridor underneath the one of the two statues of Drifblims that are beside the stairs. There should be other statues of fully-evolved ghost-type Pokemon that have secret passages much like some kind of old castle with lots of secret passageways. Let's just get going and use that! Don't slow down now damn Umbreon!" Kiburi growled and dashed forward without waiting for a response.

"Hold on a second, we've gotta tell everybody this!" Maemi called after Kiburi while she floated between Dante and me.

"Tell everybody else…." An idea suddenly came to my mind. I looked up to the ceiling. "Hey, Morgen, Gestern! One of you are up there right!?" I called for the Duskull brothers and didn't wait for one to come down while turning towards Maemi.

"Follow Kiburi; make sure he gets around safely." I ordered her.

Maemi grinned. "Leave it to me; you know you sure are nice to care about someone like Kiburi who maltreated you!" Maemi laughed and floated in the direction where Kiburi dashed off to. I sighed and turned my head back in front of me to see a moving red eye in front of me.

"HOLY-!" I jumped back, what is with these ghost-types just appearing randomly in front of you!? I calmed down, "Which one are you?" I asked.

The Duskull drooped. "I see….I really don't think anyone will recognize me just as if the me of the past will disappear from their minds." He sighed.

"Gestern obviously." Dante said.

"Obviously…" I muttered. "Anyways, I have a job for you. I want you and Morgen to float towards everybody else-" another crash emitted from the other side of the wall along with a groan.

"How many are they fighting!?" Dante yelped.

"-and tell them to head for the end of the corridors and try to find secret passages underneath statues of fully-evolved ghost-type Pokemon. You guys got it?" I ordered the Duskull with an urgent tone.

"Hold on." Gestern said and suddenly had the red eye disappear and then reappear within him a few seconds later. "We've got it." He replied and floated away upwards, disappearing into the shadows.

I nodded approvingly and turned back to Dante. "Let's go." I told him.

Dante clasped his fist and nodded. We then rushed down the corridor as fast as possible as battles took place in the neighboring halls.

I looked around the huge lobby of the Mansion. This place seemed like the one area where moonlight would stream the most into.

"Shiro!" a voice called my name behind me. I turned around to see Axel coming running towards me with Okami and Kage following behind him. He stopped in front of me and breathed with his head down. "We were against flying enemies; it was so god damn hard taking them down from the dark ceiling." He gasped for breath.

"At least you came around safely." I nodded towards Axel and examined our surroundings and sighed in frustration. "I wish Kiburi could tell us which statue was the one we were to go down." I growled.

The lobby was very fancy, yes it was dark with only moonlight to see all around, but the lobby had stairs going upwards in the middle of the room with 2 Drifblim statues guarding the sides of the middle stairs. At the top of those stairs lead to 2 more pairs on leading upwards on the left and right of a large, unconfirmed colored under the darkness, door. The halls leading away from the two pairs of upper stairs were void of moonlight and cloaked in complete darkness.

Dante suddenly turned his head back and then whispered urgently. "Hide, now!" he ordered, and grabbed Maemi and me and then sank into the darkness behind the large middle stairs. Kage grabbed Axel and did the same while Okami disappeared into the wall.

"Hehe, that was easy." A Mightyena smirked at a Houndoom while a Sandile followed up.

"Why would ghost Pokemon join in with a Psychic type, both have a disadvantage against us?" The Houndoom howled in laughter.

"Our Lord will surely be happy that we brung such good hostages yes?" The Sandile cackled. I widened my eyes as I saw what they were carrying in their jaws and their backs.

It was a knocked out Evo, Yukari, and Rusty.

I began to breathe heavily and aggressively; about to pounce but Dante held me back.

"We'll save them soon, just wait." Dante told me.

I closed my eyes as those damn Pokemon lifted my friends up the stairs. There was the opening of the door and the howling laughter of some Pokemon through it before the door was slammed shut again.

I shut my eyes even tighter than before and gritted my teeth as Kiburi obviously wasn't trying to hide his cackle at my misfortune. It reminded me of my current position. I was still a novice leader in an Exploration Team. I'm not like some of the better ones out there. Dante must've noticed me shaking uncontrollably. He patted my head.

"Calm down, clear your head." The Dusknoir boomed. I looked up to him with eyes of despair and jumped out of his arms and growled at him with a glare.

"I sent them to a bad end! I don't know what they'll do there!" I growled angrily. However that anger wasn't directed at Dante, it was directed to myself and my stupidity and immaturity. In the end I was just a stupid dark-type Pokemon. I couldn't be like Evo, who got all the best treatment or have her sister's vitality. Nor I would have Axel's vast knowledge of the world or Kyuna's forceful and intimidating aura.

"Calm down Shiro!" a paw suddenly smacked into my face. "This isn't the time to be panicking! We need to go in a save all 3 of them!" Axel yelled at me.

"But…"

"Quiet!" Kage hissed at us and looked over the stairs again.

"My, my, to make someone like me come out here Kyuna." A sly voice was emitted from another hall. We stopped to listen as we heard Kyuna's name. "I never thought you would show yourself here. Have you realized the strength of the Plate's Army again?" the voice smirked.

I looked over the stairs to see a Pokemon with gray fur shining in the moonlight and what looked like a long blue and pink ponytail that was tied up with a giant pearl. The Pokemon stood on 2 legs and had red claws on his two upper paws and lower paws; it also had a pointed snout and a devilish smirk. The one thing that stood out however, was that the Pokemon wore one thing on its head.

A Crown made of pitch black Obsidian.

"You assumed wrong Zeruel." I watched Kyuna in shock as she followed the Pokemon. "I'm not going back to the Plate's Army." Kyuna responded calmly with at the sly-looking Pokemon.

"Aaaah, you still have that cold attitude I see Kyuna. You always were the Ninetails that gave others the cold-shoulder. You know you could've been the Fire Platoon's lieutenant for your great strength. Instead you settled for a low position when you could've been promised great things in the Plate's Army." The Pokemon smirked. So Kyuna could've gotten a great position in the Plate's Army…but if she didn't want to lead for what was she in there in the first place?

Actually what is the purpose of the Plate's Army?

"Hmph, you were always the Zoroark that would take advantage of others Platoons." Kyuna snapped back. "I never liked the Plate's Army anyways."

"A Zoroark?!" Dante exclaimed in surprise.

"A Zoroark?" I asked.

"They're deceiving Pokemon. People will rarely see them and their previous form, Zorua, because they disguise themselves and trick other Pokemon a lot." Axel explained.

I looked back up to Zeruel the Zoroark's crown. "So he's the leader huh…" I muttered, scrapping my claws on the carpet floor. So they won't do anything to Evo, Yukari, and Rusty without this guy right.

Zeruel the Zoroark abruptly put a claw underneath Kyuna's snout and looked her close in the eyes.

"You always treated everybody the same way; I really liked that about you're right, I did allow a Ghost-type Pokemon from another unit of the Plate's Army to join us. She's a rather useful one, veeeeery good with strings see." He sneered at Kyuna.

"You can't mean…." Kyuna muttered.

"Still, if you don't want to re-join us why are you giving yourself up? You were also alone no less." Zeruel asked with that everlasting smirk on his face.

"…" Kyuna stayed silent with her everlasting Poker Face and staring into Zeruel's slanted eyes.

Zeruel finally gave in and dropped Kyuna's snout. "Hmph, I expect others were with you, I've already sent scouts out to find them. They'll be joining you soon." Zeruel scoffed and began to walk up the stairs with Kyuna following him, and for a moment I thought Kyuna gave a glance to us before she took steps up the carpeted stairs.

After they entered through the door Axel looked at me curiously. "So it seems Kyuna is still hiding something from us." He said to me.

I nodded, curiosity slashing through my depression. "We'll have to get her back along with everybody else." I agreed.

"Hold on." Kage the Gengar suddenly interrupted me with a hand up and a rather confused toothy…smile on his face I guess. "I thought Adar was with Ms. Ninetails." He said.

I blinked. "You're right…." I muttered.

"Yeah he's right, but she told me to go on ahead to meet with everybody else and leave her alone." That familiar hyper voice said behind me, making me jump out of my skins again. I turned around and scowled at Adar who suddenly lit his dark flames up. I guess he put it out to be more camouflaged with his surroundings.

"You Ghost-types reeeally need to stop appearing behind me!" I barked, clearly annoyed at them.

Adar gave a spin as he bounced off of a chain attached to him, which he probably also used to look more like a chandelier.

"Anyways, you guys wanted to know about the statues right?" Adar asked me.

I blinked, of course this guy heard everything. "Yeah."

"Well, the one Kiburi took is the one at the top of the left stairs, the one with a Gengar. Also, the Drifblim statue on the left has a secret passageway to the Dining Room. On the right stairs there's one on the top right stairs as well that's one of a Cofagrigus if you skip past the Dusclops statue. All these passages are connected so we should all meet up somewhere." Adar informed us.

"…" I looked at Adar with mouth agape with a scowl.

"Adar helped map out this Mansion you see." Dante explained.

"Aaaah, no wonder…" Axel and I said in unison. Why the hell would you have 7 corridors randomly placed at the entrance?

"Hehehehe, I think I should be offended right now!" Adar cackled.

"Oi, we should get moving." Kage reminded us as more voices began to go around the other 7 corridors.

"I heard a yelp here!" a female voice called.

"You go check that out, I'll go around here!" another voice replied.

"Then I'll go back to the entrance to see if there is anyone there!" another said.

"Must be some of the scouts that Zeruel Pokemon was talking about." Dante noted and looked at me. "What's the plan?" he boomed.

I stepped back and averted his one-eyed gaze. What if my plan ends like what happened before? I shook my head and looked up again.

"Ghost-types will go use the upper routes. Axel will use the Drifblim, I'll distract the scout." I explained.

"What?!" Dante, Axel, and Kage gasped.

"Just hurry it up! Kage go get Okami and exit to the right! Dante and Adar use the left stairs, if you can find Kiburi and Maemi in the passages. We have no time!" I snapped at them and they nodded and went through the walls to their specified areas. "Get going Axel," I ordered my friend and was about to act as decoy, but Axel suddenly grabbed my shoulder with his paw.

"Hold on, I'm not letting you be a decoy. I understand that you don't want anybody captured, but that doesn't mean that you should be too." Axel told me.

"What? It should! Besides, I have no time to go through passageways! I have to see how everybody is doing in the Dining Hall and see if they're safe!" I argued.

"Then we'll both get captured and see for ourselves!" Axel barked back loudly.

"What the hell was that?!" the same female voice asked aloud after hearing Axel's loud voice.

"What the hell Axel! Hurry up and get to the Drifblim statue!" I ordered.

Axel gave a hollow laugh, "I don't even know how to get to the secret passageway through the Drifblim statue, Adar didn't even explain it to us." He told me.

I blinked. "Oh…..damn it!" I yelped.

"FOUND YOU!" the female voice yelled at us, suddenly sliding in front of the hidden spot underneath the stairs.

"Shi-" I turned around to see a female Absol looking at me while baring her teeth.

"Get on out." She ordered us.

I looked at Axel and we slowly walked out of the shadows and revealed ourselves.

The female Absol examined me and then stopped her glance at Axel with shock. I looked Axel and was surprised to see his surprised face as well.

"A-A-Axel….?" The female Absol stuttered. "Wh-What are you doing here?"

"You know her!?" I asked Axel loudly.

Axel stared at the female Absol with mouth wide open.

"A-Aria?" Axel uttered.

CLIIIIIIIIIIIIIIFFHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANGAR! YAAAAAAAAAAAY! Don't you love it when I do an update after a few weeks and just leave a cliffhanger for you guys? :D:D:D

Alright, who wants to shoot me first? (Holds up gatling gun) :d

Anyways….yeah…..so Shiro and Axel have been caught by a familiar female Absol. Kyuna has a rather darker past with the Plate's Army and Zeruel the Zoroark who has an Obsidian Crown on his head. Mostly everybody else was also captured and taken hostage. How will Shiro and Team Kizuna get out of this predicament?

Haha….
