As soon as Sam as ends the call with Kensi, he leans over and tries to shake Deeks awake. The detective tenses and turns his head away from Sam before mumbling something incoherently. Sam smirks in amusement and reaches out to turn Deeks towards him before he remembers that he's about to wake a man that the irrational part of him wants to leave so he can go finds his wife and that's not including the very blatant fact that Sam hadn't and still hasn't thought of bringing him along to help.

Deeks suddenly twitches and sits up straight next to Sam. Behind his bangs, his eyes flicker around the room before landing on Sam. "Did something happen? How long did I sleep for?"

"Like an hour or so," Sam answers. He leans forward to get onto his feet and stands up, grunting in pain along the way. The hallway appears clear enough for them to continue onto the roof without drawing any more attention than they already have. Deeks quickly follows Sam and stands up with a look in his eyes of pure confusion.

"I called Kensi and she and Callen will meet us here- the roof to be more specific," Sam states, "Come on." He makes his way to the nearest flight of stairs and begins climbing the rather steep stairs with a grunt here and there. Deeks walks over to the bottom of the stairs and throws his hands up in the air in frustration. There's a massive difference between the sick Deeks before the nap and now.

"Sam, wai-wai-wait! So they're ok? What's going on?"

"I'll explain everything when we get to the roof-"

"Seriously?" Deeks jogs halfway up the stairs and watches Sam step onto the landing above them. The detective crosses his arms and sighs loudly. "Even though you've never showed any interest in my life before this, I know you, Sam. I know the crazy un-convincible look in your eyes only comes when something bad happens and you're about to do something incredibly stupid. Did Kensi say anything about Michelle?"

Sam shakes his head for once more underestimating the injured detective. Deeks is smart and just as stubborn as he is in not letting something go. "Alright, here's what's happening. Kensi and Callen finally made it into Abu Dhabi and are on their way here. You and I need to find somewhere to hide because someone called the police claiming that we're involved with the disappearance of a woman that looks like Michelle. I don't know what it means, but- let's just get to the roof."

Deeks blinks and looks down the stairwell. "You were going to ditch me," he says as he returns his gaze back to Sam, "You didn't want to tell me anything because you thought I'd be sick enough for you to ditch me."

I've officially made it another step backwards with Deeks. Damn it. Sam turns around and nods without a word. He expects Deeks to march past him without a word or start yelling, but gets a shock when Deeks states, "It makes sense- I am slowing you down. If you wanted to go on your own, you should have told me. Look, I'm not going to stop you from going, Sam. Do what you need to do."

Deeks walks up the rest of the stairs and continues up the next flight of stairs towards the roof door above them. Sam places his hand on the railway towards the lower floor and tries to make himself go down the stairs. The sound of the roof door above him is all he needs to make a decision on what to do. He turns on his heels and begins jogging up the stairs to follow Deeks.

As much as he wants to find Michelle, he can't do it alone.

At sundown, Kensi and Callen finally arrive on the roof.

Sam is sitting on a roof cover and watching the traffic on the street below when Kensi bursts through the door and sprints over to a humming Deeks. She drops her khaki backpack onto the ground and wraps her arms around him excitedly. The detective smiles and says, " Don't look at me like that. Why are you looking at me like I'm the most adorable thing in the world? Well, actually, I am the most adorable thing in the world so that makes sense-"

"You scare the hell out of me, you know that? You scare me, you idiot," Kensi replies softly. While Kensi and Deeks continue to banter, Callen walks over to Sam and comments, "Having a moment of clarity?"

"Just thinking. What took so damn long?" Sam laughs as he stands. He pulls Callen into a quick bro-hug and looks over to Kensi and Deeks. "You two ok?"

"Yeah. Kensi was…..anxious to see Deeks. Other than being stressed, we're fine. You?"

"I keep screwing up with Deeks and he's a little sick. So what exactly is going on?"

Callen turns away from the younger partners and motions Sam to follow him. They take a few steps away before Callen states, " We need to get the police off your back. They won't tell us if they have a body or anything other than a phone call. My money is that Nahili is trying to get you captured or out of the way."

"So what do you want to do?"

"The UAE isn't exactly on friendly terms with the U.S and I'm a bit afraid that four agents in the country without permission with two wanted for questioning isn't going to end well. But we might not have a choice," Callen says. He glances over his shoulder to Deeks, who is still in Kensi's arms. "You think that you guys can run if we need to?"

Sam smirks at Deeks. "I've underestimated Deeks before. I'm not doing it again. Let's go."
