A/N: So I've decided to scrap the idea for this chapter and make this the clip show instead, because as it stands, there's a possibility of three or even four part finale coming your way. I apologize for getting this out to you guys so late but I broke my finger and couldn't type this up until recently, but, now that I'm back I have some announcements!
There will not be a team up like you would expect, or like I had last season. Well, that's not exactly true. There will be one, just not in this season. The next season and the one after that will be set in the same town and will have some of the rangers still there when they appear. This season, the only team up will happen in the very last part of the finale, and as it stands, I'm not sure if the next three will even show up in that part.
Also, the finale is going to go by pretty fast, and a lot of things are going to happen that you might not expect. I'm not going to spoil anything, but just be aware that somethings will happen, and you will be shocked.
Now, without further ado, onto to the chapter.
Scott, James, Aria, and Reese all sat quietly in Mr. Walker's class as he explained the senior project. Also in the class was Drew, Jenna, Christian, and Cally. After sitting for nearly 50 minutes, the class was finally almost over, as was the school year. There was only one week before prom, and almost all of the rangers had dates, including Matt who had decided to go with Anna, James' best friend. In fact, the only ranger who didn't have a date was James, who had a girlfriend in the future, and felt that it was wrong to go to prom with someone who was not her.
"This year's senior project is a timeline of your year. I would like you to take a video of yourself explaining your year at school and outside of school. These short films will be due the day before prom, which for those of you that are wondering, is the Friday before prom. If you do not turn in your project, you will not go to prom and will not graduate."
A collective groan came from the class, as they realized that they only had one week to complete their project and that they all wanted to go to prom and graduation, but some of the seniors would not complete their work.
"This isn't history class!" A senior in the back called out, angry with the time frame and the project itself.
"Well," Mr. Walker said, keeping a straight face. "If you hadn't noticed in your four years of going here, English is the main subject that gives school wide projects." He smiled when someone raised their hand and asked about partners. "Good question! Yes, you may have partners if you feel that they tie into what you did this year. Better get to work guys, these will be shown in front of the school at the end of the year assembly on the last day of school."
The bell rang and the students flooded out of the room grumbling about the project, but at least happy about partners. The rangers left last and went to the lunch table, where they met the others.
"Hey guys," Alice smiled as she sat next to Spencer, who put his arm around her. "How was English with my brother?"
"He gave us our senior project." Scott said, sighing.
"Oh yeah?" Matt asked, raising an eyebrow, surprised they had got it so late in the year. "What is it?"
Reese smirked. "It's a short film about what we've been doing for the past year."
Aria chuckled slyly. "I wonder what we're gonna say."
"Oh yeah," Scott nodded sarcastically, "Let's just present or lives as Power Rangers to the whole school."
"Why not?" James asked, frowning. "I mean, in the future everybody knows who the rangers are, and anyway, this is the end."
"The end?" Robin asked, raising her eyebrows. "You mean of the school year?"
"No," James shook his head. "I mean of us being rangers. You see, in the future, you guys were killed on the morning after prom, and that's when the Deboss army was able to rise up and start a winning war against the people of Earth. But, Jane has contacted me to tell me that the future has changed. There is not much violence and we have new officers called Time Force. However, Kyro is not alive, and AD is still gone. But, other than that, the future is much improved, which means we did defeat Deboss, one can only wonder at what cost."
"You're right," Matt said, "I mean we could die."
"Hey, it's not like we haven't faced tough fights before," Jesse said, trying to lighten the mood. "Remember when we fought Candelilla?"
~Flashback~
Fortunately, the rangers didn't get called out of school that day to fight, however, it was on the way back to AD that they noticed something was wrong. No one was in the usually bustling park that they walked through to get home.
"Where is everybody?" James asked as the rangers stopped and looked around the empty park.
"Maybe they all found a new park to go to?" Jesse suggested, but the playground equipment was moving and there were things abandoned throughout the park. People were obviously just there.
"Guys," Alice whispered. "I doubt we're alone."
"We should morph." Matt ordered in a low tone. "Ready?"
"Ready."
"Dino Squad, Powe..."
They were cut off when a blast knocked them to the ground. Smoke covered their vision, but they could just see the outline of a figure walking towards them. When the smoke cleared, they saw their enemy.
"Who are you?" Matt asked, as the rangers had never encountered her before.
"I am the general Candelilla!" She yelled, smirking down at them. "And you pitiful humans will be gone before the days end."
She put her hand out in front of her and blasted at the rangers, but they jumped up and morphed, "Dino Squad, Power Up!"
"No matter." She said as the rangers stood in a line in front of them. "I'll destroy you all anyway."
The rangers took out their weapons and let out battle cries as they ran forwards, but Candelilla easily dodged them and snapped her fingers. "Zorima!"
Suddenly, dozens upon hundreds of foot soldiers surrounded them, and Candelilla watched with glee as the rangers fought against them.
Matt, Spencer, and Alice stood back to back in a triangle formation, shooting their blasters at the Zorima that got near them.
"Duck!" Alice yelled as a Zorima got too close and tried to take their heads off. Alice stabbed at the Zorima with his sword, then threw it at the others near her. Then, she pulled away from the boys and flipped over into a pile of Zorima and began slashing, shooting, and stabbing at them on her own.
Jesse, Robin, and James were in a similar situation, except they weren't back to back, which seemed to be a mistake when a Zorima slammed the hilt of it's sword into James' back and made him fall down.
Jesse and Robin immediately ran over to assist him, pulling various Zorima off of him and throwing them at others nearby to keep them away.
Scott, Nathan, and Aria were the last ones, and seemed to be doing the best. Aria was thrown down by a Zorima but caught its neck between her ankles and threw it over her head into a pile of the rest of them, then flipped over back onto her feet, shooting other Zorima as she did.
Nathan was fighting near Scott, as the black ranger was hesitant to let him out of his sight, though Nathan could tell that something was bothering him. As a Zorima swung at him, Nathan disappeared to avoid the hit. The Zorima around him seemed confused when he suddenly reappeared high up in the air and spun, shooting them all as he came down. Scott watched him, as Nathan had also destroyed all of the remaining Zorima and regrouped with the others.
They were all exhausted, including Scott, but Nathan was not. As a spirit, Nathan didn't get tired anymore. Scott found himself frustrated, and he didn't know why. He should be happy that nothing really ails his boyfriend anymore, but he wasn't and he didn't know why.
Candelilla, meanwhile, was frustrated that her Zorima was destroyed, and knew it was her turn to fight. She reached on her back and pulled out an axe that was modeled after a broken heart. "Come at me, rangers!" She cried, before running forward.
The rangers all spread out as she swung at them, however, she didn't miss. She stopped and hit her axe with her hand, and sparks flew off of the ranger's suits, knocking them to the ground.
They quickly recovered and stood back up when Candelilla's eyes flashed and another blast was sent their way. They groaned from the ground.
Robin, however, used her sword as leverage and stood back up, charging at the general. She swung at her, but the hit was avoid nimbly. Candelilla punched her in the stomach and tried to blast her, but Robin ducked and slashed at her legs, causing her to fall to the ground.
Candelilla flipped back up onto her feet and swung her axe upwards, making the pink ranger fly back to where the other rangers stood. Jesse and Spencer went to help Robin while the others ran at the monster.
Candelilla ducked and flipped out of the way of the attacks. Scott growled in frustration. "She moves too fast."
"Just keep trying!" Matt called, but his words were not helpful when he himself got thrown back into a tree and demorphed.
Scott ran forward angrily with Nathan and they both slashed at the general together but she ducked and kicked her leg out, knocking them off of their feet before stepping on Nathan's back. However, the gray ranger disappeared to her shock. Scott's sword came up and hit her, but only slightly. Candelilla grabbed his sword with her free hand and threw it off to the side and then grabbed him by the neck. "This always seems to happen to you with generals, doesn't it, black ranger?" She threw him to the side and he demorphed upon impact.
Nathan then reappeared, very angry, and came down, slashing her with his sword. It made a mark, and Candelilla cried out in pain and anger. She slashed him with her axe and threw him to the side next to Scott, and he demorphed.
Aria, Alice, and James came up next and they blasted at her back, causing a burn. She turned and blasted them back in response. They demorphed before they hit the ground.
Then, it was Jesse, Spencer, and Robin. They came at her, guns blazing and swords drawn, but she took them down easily with a few hits from her axe and a blast from her hands.
All of the rangers were now demorphed and at her mercy.
"Well, well." Candelilla smirked. "Who shall I destroy first?"
She walked up to Robin and smiled sweetly down at her, "Your days of living are up, pink ranger." She lifted her axe threateningly.
"No!" Jesse cried as the axe swung down.
Suddenly, a blast hit her in the back on the burn, causing a devastating blow. She stood there in shock for a moment before dropping her axe weakly to the side and slowly turning around. Black goo was oozing out from the large wound on her back and Robin was unharmed from the threatened attack.
Nathan was standing up with his blaster out, set on full power. "I think your days of living are up." He pulled the trigger once more, and she flew back, and landed dead on the ground behind the other rangers. The others stood up slowly, smiling at their win.
~End Of Flashback~
"Oh yeah." The rangers nodded.
"Oh, what about the time we fought D?" Spencer added.
~Flashback~
A while later, the rangers all had to sneak out of class to get to a battle. They came to a stop, seeing a very dangerous looking alien standing in front of them. He laughed, hearing them coming.
"Rangers, so nice to finally meet you. I am the Ferocious Knight D, and your end." He smiled fiercely, showing all of his razor sharp teeth.
"We wont let you win, D!" Matt yelled.
"Yeah, Deboss won't win this round or the war!" Robin exclaimed.
"Deboss? Ha! I don't work for Deboss, I work for myself." D laughed at them before unsheathing his sword and holding it towards them. They gasped at the shear size of it. It was 4 feet long with both sides serrated and sharp.
Kim's sharp blue eyes watched them from a distance, and she knew they were about to morph.
"Dino Squad, Power Up!"
"Power of the Tyrannosaurus!"
"Power of the Parasaurolophus!"
"Power of the Stegosaurus!"
"Power of the Velociraptor!"
"Power of the Triceratops!"
"Power of the Pterodactyl!"
More rangers than I thought, but okay. Kim thought as she watched them charge into battle. She remembered her days as a ranger, and despite how excited she was to be a professional gymnast, she was sad to see her days as a ranger end.
The six Dino Squad rangers still had time until they had to give it up, and while they may not be enjoying themselves now, they would miss it after it was over. Kim sure did. Sometimes she even wished she could still be a ranger, but she knew it was nearly impossible, but not completely. Kim knew there was a slight possibility of this battle going wring, or Matt finding out who she was, or both.
Meanwhile, the Dino Squad rangers weren't having the easiest time fighting D. D grabbed Matt as he came at him and flung him into a nearby car with ease, smashing the top and the windshield. Matt groaned and held his shoulder, which was bleeding from a shard of glass lodged into it.
Scott and Jesse ran forward next, Jesse jumping up and flipping off of Scott's shoulder, bringing his sword down at D, but D caught it on his sword and threw him to the side. Scott blasted him, making him fall back a bit, but D recovered quickly and slashed Scott with his sword. Scott fell back and held his chest, which was beginning to bleed.
Nothing has been strong enough to make me bleed through the suit. Scott looked up at him in shock, just as Spencer barreled into D, tackling the alien to the ground, and beginning to punch him. D brought one of his legs up and threw Spencer off with a surprisingly immense force, throwing him through a nearby convenience store window.
Robin and James ran up next, feeling none too enthusiastic, with their blasters in hand. They blasted him to the ground, but it only fazed in for a few seconds before he got back up and laughed at them. "You guys sure got some fire power." He laughed. "But mine is better."
Suddenly, his sword doubled into a sword, with the tip turning into what looked like a dragon's head with and open mouth. The two exchanged confusion and horrified looks through their visors before turning back with their blasters held up defensively.
"You're blasters won't defend you against this." D laughed.
He fired a powerful blast that they countered with a shot from each of their blasters. Unfortunately, D's blaster proved to be more powerful than their blasters combined, and threw them 50 yards away, the force pushing them hard enough into the ground to make them demorph.
Kim, being herself, had to mentally force herself not to help them. She knew that if she did, she risked blowing her cover and causing more danger for the team.
Jesse resisted the urge to help Robin, and instead forced himself up and threw himself at D.
Robin watched him worriedly, and despite wanting to get up, couldn't as her injuries were preventing her. She felt bad for what she had done, and longed for him, but was still nervous of what others thought.
Jesse meanwhile was pushed back and slashed in the chest three times before being kicked in the head while already demorphed. He collapsed to the floor like a rag-doll and Robin screamed in terror.
Matt saw this scene and pushed himself up with his uninjured hand, but was weak from blood loss and lost his footing, ending up falling off of the car. He groaned in pain and pushed himself up again. His vision blurred and swam sickeningly as he stumbled forward.
D laughed and pushed him down, forcing the glass even deeper into his shoulder, making him cry out loudly in pain.
"You rangers are pathetic; hardly worth my time. Next time, you won't be so lucky, rangers." D disappeared in a cloud of smoke, leaving the rangers to themselves.
~Flashback~
By the time Matt and Kim got to the battle scene, Spencer was already fighting off D unmorphed. He seemed to notice the two because he pushed D back and ran over to them.
"You!" He exclaimed, staring at Kim.
She held up the morpher wordlessly as Spencer looked shockingly towards Matt. "You gave it to her?"
"I'll explain later. Ready?"
Spencer still looking shocked, nodded as Kim said, "Ready."
"Dino Squad, Power Up!"
"Power of the Tyrannosaurus!"
"Power of the Stegosaurus!"
"Power of the Apatosaurus!" Kim called.
Kim looked over herself. While she did indeed prefer pink, yellow wasn't a bad color. It brought back many memories being in the suit again, especially ones of her late best friend, Trini, the first yellow ranger. In 2001, she was killed in a car accident, and her funeral brought back the original rangers together, which is what brought Kim to Sol Valley.
A few months ago, Kim and her friends began to get readings of alien and Power Ranger activities in this area. Sooner or later, while Tommy wished to go to protect his wife and child, Kim was finally decided as the one who would go. Leaving her husband and child behind, she had been watching the rangers for a while now.
She looked at the alien right in the eyes. D was much more ferocious than anything Kim and her team had fought back in Angel Grove, but it was still an evil alien and it needed to go. While she wasn't used to handling this dangerous of monsters, or this much firepower, she was as prepared as she was gonna get.
"You three think you can stop me? Ha, you'll never stop me. I have more power than you'll ever imagine." D laughed.
"We don't have to destroy you, 'cause you're gonna wish you were dead when we're done with you!" Kim warned him.
The three grabbed their blasters and shot at D, and while he deflected Matt's and Spencer's blasts, Kim's went straight into him and knocked him back. D used his sword to pull himself to his feet and turned it into his blaster mode before shooting the three.
Kim, naturally, jumped out of the way while Matt and Spencer took the brunt of the blast. They surprisingly did not demorph, but were obviously in pain. Kim grabbed her sword from her belt and rushed at D. This is different. She thought to herself, remembering her time with her power bow.
She jumped up, flipped gracefully through the air and slashed D as she was coming down. She kicked him as he lay on the ground, but he grabbed her foot and pulled her down. She landed on her back and slammed her head into the concrete and almost demorphed. She could already tell that her head was bleeding.
She brought her sword down on D's hand, severing it from his arm and making the alien cry out in anger and pain. He kicked her in the ribs, forcing her away and stood up slamming his foot down on her chest, knocking the wind out of her lungs, before turning his blaster back into a sword and thrusting it into her shoulder.
She cried out loudly in pain just as Matt and Spencer tackled the alien off of her. They stood up quickly and blasted it over into the next street. D staggered to his feet and fell back onto one knee. Matt and Spencer thought they had him, and came very close, but D blasted the ground around him with his blaster and disappeared behind the wall of smoke.
~End Of Flashback~
"Do you guys remember the all the times we got new rangers?" Scott asked, looking at James, Alice, Nathan, Reese, and Aria.
~Flashback~
James walked down the street, looking around. He noticed many people staring at him and frowned, looking down at himself and realized why.
I guess I look a bit too futuristic, don't I? He thought to himself. He was wearing a shiny gold jacket, similar pants, and a black shirt. Maybe I could change when I get to AD. He stopped and sat down at the bus stop. He remembered the day AD was destroyed. He remembered the walls crumpling around him as he and Anna struggled to get out alive, and they barely made it too. Thankfully I got my morpher.
Suddenly, a loud explosion rang out, knocking James and many other people to the ground. His ears rang as he stood up, and he saw many people running away as he saw the other rangers running into battle.
"Ready?" Matt asked.
"Ready."
"Dino Squad, Power Up!"
"Power of the Tyrannosaurus!"
"Power of the Parasaurolophus!"
"Power of the Stegosaurus!"
"Power of the Velociraptor!"
"Power of the Triceratops!"
They all drew their weapons, facing Dogold and rushed forward. James watched them intently. He watched as Matt and Scott teamed up and attacked Dogold together, but were merely thrown to the side. He saw Robin rush in blasting Dogold, throwing him back. Dogold, however, stood back up and slashed her across the chest with his sword.
Spencer and Jesse, meanwhile, were handling the Pterodactyl spirit. Pterodactyl? No way! How is he using my spirit? James wondered. He watched as Spencer and Jesse were forced to their knees by his spirit, and saw that he spirit was getting ready to attack them personally.
"No!" He cried. "Dino Squad, Power Up! Power of the Pterodactyl!"
Clad in his golden armor, he ran forward and pushed the blue and green rangers out of the way. "Stop!" He ordered the Pterodactyl, however, it didn't stop. It rushed at him, but James put his hand up and did the only thing he knew what to do. The spirit began to choke and splutter as black smoke began to erupt from its mouth.
"What the hell?" James heard the green ranger whisper. He saw him out of the corner of his eye helping the blue ranger back to his feet.
James continued the task at hand, and seeing as though this 'black smoke' wasn't going anywhere, he began to chant.
"Exorcizamus te, omnis immundus spiritus, omnis satanica potestas, omnis incursio infernalis adversarii, omnis legio, omnis congregatio et secta diabolica... Ergo, draco maledicte et omnis legio diabolica, adjuramus te ... cessa decipere humanas creaturas, eisque æternæ perditionìs venenum propinare... Vade, satana, inventor et magister omnis fallaciæ, hostis humanæ salutis... Humiliare sub potenti manu Dei; contremisce et effuge, invocato a nobis sancto et terribili nomine... quem inferi tremunt... Ab insidiis diaboli, libera nos, Domine. Ut Ecclesiam tuam secura tibi facias libertate servire, te rogamus, audi nos."
The black smoke immediately flew out of the spirit and flew of into the sky. The Pterodactyl stopped flying and stared at James before disappearing.
"No!" Dogold screamed, throwing the three rangers that had attacked him to the floor. "You ruined my plans! How did you escape?"
"Next time, try to re-enforce the walls." James laughed.
Dogold growled. "I'll be back rangers. Especially for you gold."
As Dogold disappeared, the other rangers turned to James suspiciously. Matt stepped forward. "Who are you?"
James demorphed. He had brown hair and eyes, tan skin, and was 6'2. "My name is James Lacey. I'm the gold ranger."
~Flashback~
"Guys." Liela said, catching their attention. "Kyro just informed me to start without him, as he is calling upon someone."
"Who is he calling?" Matt asked. As the leader, he found this his concern.
"The next purple ranger." Liela muttered, looking a bit sheepish.
"What?" Jesse exclaimed. "You're kidding, right? He just died!" Then, a realization hit him like ton of bricks hit him. "Wait, you guys have backups for us?"
"Before you say anything..." Liela started, but she was cut off when the green ranger stood up and continued.
"You guys don't really care about us. You care that we do what you say and fight evil, but if we die in the process, who cares?" He spat in disgust.
"Let me explain," Liela started, pausing. Seeing as he was going to let her speak, she continued, "There's this prophecy, and if it forewarns a ranger dying, we find a replacement. It's not that we don't mourn, we care for all of our rangers, but we must move on. The world can't afford us waiting. You must understand."
Jesse calmed down, and took a deep breath, also wincing very slightly from his still remaining injuries. Liela raised an eyebrow, "Are you alright?"
The others looked at him, but Jesse continued to look at Liela and not them. "Fine."
"Are you sure?" Liela prodded.
"Yes." Jesse stated quickly before sitting down. He could feel the others gazes, but refused to look back at them.
"Well.." Liela began. "Now that that's done with, lets get on with this." She turned to the Cyan ranger, "Please demorph."
He nodded and demorphed. The rangers either gasped or raised their eyebrows.
"Mason?" Robin asked, surprised more than anything. She, out of all the rangers, knew Mason the best, having been friends with his girlfriend, Kristi, and did a project with him at the end of last school year.
"Hey guys." Mason smiled sheepishly. "I bet you didn't expect this, huh?"
~Flashback~
Scott growled, but as he was about to make his move, a blast shot from behind Aigaron and threw the alien into the air, making him land behind the other rangers, just as they sat up.
"What the..." Scott looked over and saw the new purple ranger, standing with it's arm out and blaster in hand.
"The new purple ranger's a girl?" Jesse asked. "Ow!" He cried out when Robin smacked his arm.
"What's wrong with that?" Robin asked as they all got to their feet.
"Nothing, it just shocked me since Dr. Parker was a man and she showed up." Jesse responded. "I didn't know that girls could take over a guy's role on the team, that's all."
Aigaron stood up and growled at the rangers. "You rangers have won this round, but you'll never win the war." He disappeared in a flurry of color.
The purple ranger walked over to them. "Are you guys alright?" She asked, putting her blaster back into her belt.
"Mildly." Matt answered. "Who are you?" The others demorphed and looked at her, Scott standing a little ways away.
She smiled and demorphed. "Alice?" Mason asked, knowing her as a friend of Kristi's.
"Hi guys."
~Flashback~
"We're fine." Matt growled. "We can take them."
"Can you?" A voice came from their right, and the rangers immediately turned and got into defensive stances, but soon saw three other rangers standing there and froze.
Mason nudged Alice. "I told you." Alice seemed troubled by this statement.
"Who are you?" Spencer asked, looking them over. Something seemed familiar about two of them, but the navy ranger, who seemed to be their leader, didn't. In fact, it was almost like he was radiating evil.
The three rangers looked at him and paused, almost like they were looking to find all of his weaknesses just by his exterior. Then, Navy turned and whispered something to the silver ranger and then to the gray ranger. Both nodded.
Navy unsheathed his sword and held it toward the other rangers. "I suggested you run."
"Not a chance. Ready?"
"Ready!"
"Dino Squad, Power Up!"
"Power of the Tyrannosaurus!"
"Power of the Parasaurolophus!"
"Power of the Stegosaurus!"
"Power of the Velociraptor!"
"Power of the Triceratops!"
"Power of the Pterodactyl!"
"Power of the Ankylosaurus!"
"Power of the Plesiosaurus!"
The rangers took out their swords and blasters, pointing them dangerously at the three new rangers. Matt turned to the others. "Scott, Spencer, and I will handle them, you guys go for the Zorima."
The others nodded and ran into battle while Matt, Scott, and Spencer got into defensive positions against the navy, gray, and silver rangers respectively.
"Hah!" The navy ranger laughed. "You think you three could take us on one on one?" He shook his head in fake disappointment. "You rangers aren't as smart as we thought."
"You underestimate us, but that'll be your downfall." Matt threatened, and suddenly the battle was on.
Matt ran forward, blasting at the navy ranger, but the other boy ducked and swiveled out of the way of the shots before somersaulting on the ground and popping up in front of Matt, slashing him as he came up and slashing him as he came down. Matt's suit sparked and he fell back, clutching his chest.
The navy ranger laughed. "I told you; you're not gonna be able to defeat us one on one. You won't even be able to defeat us with your whole team in tow."
The red ranger stood up, hunched over a bit from the blow he was just dealt, and was breathing heavily. He took a long look at the navy ranger, trying to see any weakspots, but when he didn't find any, he cursed under his breath. I guess I'll just have to defeat him the old fashioned way. Matt blasted him when he started to talk again and the navy ranger flew back, landing hard on the ground, letting out a cross between a pained groan and a laugh.
"You're good, red ranger." He said, before reaching at his side. "But not good enough." He grabbed a smaller blaster out of a holster Matt hadn't even seen. He shot Matt, who was thrown back and demorphed from the amount of power. The navy ranger walked over to him and smirked as Matt looked up at him, bruised and battered. "You'll never beat me." He then snapped his fingers and Kokodoko showed up. Matt gasped as was about to yell out to his other friends, whom hadn't noticed yet, but Kokodoko slammed his staff into the grassy ground, making a portal open beneath him, dropping him through with a cry.
The rangers fighting the Zorima had finished them off, but were exhausted. Suddenly, a monster rammed into them, throwing them back and demorphing them. A large portal opened before they hit the ground, and they fell through it.
Meanwhile, Scott and Spencer were still occupied fighting the gray and silver rangers.
The gray ranger flipped up as Scott made a sweep at his feet and kicked him down as he came down. Scott quickly recovered and unsheathed his sword, making a stab at the gray ranger, who jumped back and landed his feet against a tree before launching himself at the tree and onto Scott, tackling the boy to the floor. He made a move to choke the black ranger, but Scott held up his sword to the gray ranger's throat, causing the gray ranger to back off a bit.
"You wouldn't wanna hurt me, now would you, babe?" He asked, smirking under his helmet when Scott's breath caught in his throat from shock.
"Nate?" He asked in a hurt whisper, remembering back to Dr. Parker.
He didn't have much time to remember though, as Nathan got off of him, grabbed his arm and swung him into a tree head first, demorphing him and making him severely disoriented. Kokodoko hit his staff on the grass and Scott disappeared through a portal.
Spencer, distracted by his fight with the silver ranger, - who seemed to be the strongest one of the three - didn't notice until that moment that all of his friends were gone. He stood, breathing heavily and looking around in horror, but his friends weren't there. He looked to the navy and gray rangers standing with Kokodoko and laughing, and his fist clenched.
Then he remembered back to a hot summer day almost ten years ago when some bullies were picking on his friends. Reese was a bit behind him, watching as well, but he had a calm look on his face as opposed to Spencer, who was very angry, and a lot different from the Spencer today. Spencer's fists clenched and he wanted to go over and help his friends, and he was going to. He wanted to go over there and give those bullies a piece of his mind, but Reese put a hand on his shoulder and shook his head.
"Don't, Spence. You'll only make it worse." Reese said, keeping his calm composure.
"But, Reese! They're hurting my friends!" Spencer cried, gesturing to them with his small hands.
"I know," Reese soothed. "But, you getting angry won't help you. You just gotta keep calm and handle things with real confidence that isn't driven by anger."
Spencer hadn't believed him that day, and ended up getting his wrist broken and getting Reese bruised and bloody. He always believed his brother after that. His brother hadn't lied to him, and he never had.
Spencer took a deep breath and regained his composure, unclenching his fist and turning to the silver ranger. "Who are you?" He asked, a bit breathless.
The silver ranger was leaning down with his hands on his knees after having the breath knocked out of him by Spencer's last attack. He tilted his head up and looked at Spencer, knowing who he was and knowing deep inside that he shouldn't hurt him, but he couldn't seem to take control of his actions or words. Whatever he tried to say or do came out the opposite.
"Who do you think?" He asked, his voice a bit hoarse. He had avoided talking until now, knowing Spencer would recognize his voice, but now Spencer wasn't attacking and therefore the silver ranger didn't have to do much at the moment.
~Flashback~
There was another awkward moment of silence before Kyro spoke up again. "Mason left."
Spencer finally looked up at him. "What? Why?"
"It's a long story." Kyro said. "I'll tell you another day, but Mason is not of this Earth. He is my son, and he is needed on Urau now. Thankfully, we have a new ranger: Aria."
"Aria? Reese's girlfriend?" Spencer asked, glancing from his brother to Kyro.
~End Of Flashbacks~
"Oh you just had to bring up Will, didn't you?" Nathan rolled his eyes. "Will was a jerk, but thankfully he's gone now."
~Flashback~
Suddenly, Mason's voice penetrated the unconscious rangers' minds, and they were thrown violently back into consciousness, where, for a split second, they saw the scene Mason's video had been replaying, over and over. Then, they all were thrown into water. The rangers kicked and fought back to the surface, where they climbed up onto the docks. Matt, Scott, and Mason were there too.
Everyone was coughing and cheering, happy to have gotten out, but then they saw it. Kokodoko, Will, and Nathan standing, unmorphed, in front of them.
"What?" Alice asked quietly. "Where's the silver ranger?"
"With his brother." Will smirked, and it was at that point that the rangers noticed that Spencer wasn't there, and things clicked into place.
However, before they could speak, a loud punch was heard, and the blue ranger flew over to them and landed in front of them, the silver ranger walking out from behind some crates. As the others helped Spencer up, they noticed both brothers looked worn, and parts of their ranger suits were burned and ripped, but neither seemed to care.
Spencer lunged forward again, but this time, he grabbed his brother's arm and slammed him into the two unmorphed rangers and the monster, causing them to all fly back into an abandoned shack almost a mile away.
"No!" Scott cried out, seeing his boyfriend fly into the shack. Suddenly, Will came out, bruised, bloody, and barely standing, but he was holding something. A box of matches.
"You rangers think you've won? Well you haven't seen anything yet! I don't care if I die for my father, I just want you people dead! The Deboss army can survive and will take over this earth once you eight are dead!"
The rangers saw him light a match, and then they saw what he was aiming for. A gasoline tank in the middle of the shack and the rangers. "No!" Matt screamed, but Will run forward as fast as he could, and threw the whole box of matches on the tank, and it exploded.
Seven of the eight rangers morphed at the moment, to protect themselves, but Spencer was already morphed, but the force of the explosion demorphed him as it threw them all back. After it was over, Spencer opened blurry eyes to see the shack was on fire, and he was burned. None of the other rangers were. Their suits were, though.
~End Of Flashback~
"Yeah, thank God for that." Reese said with a relieved smile. He turned to Scott, Aria, and James. "I think I know what we should so our senior project on." He had a small smirk on his face, and the other three smiled.
"Agreed."
~PRDS~
Deboss watched the rangers from his thrown and smirked while shaking his head. "Those pathetic rangers think they're winning, but they're wrong. One tiny wrong move will set them off course."
Aigaron, Dogold, and Endolf entered the room, bowing to their leader. "Sir, why did you call us?" Dogold asked as the three stood back up and waited for instructions.
"How is the project coming along?" Deboss asked, instead of answering their question.
"Well, sir. Your son has been restored through the energy of all your prisoners, except Chaos." Endolf reported.
"I see." Deboss nodded. "Good. I believe the end is near, and in the final battle, I will prove to be victorious."
In the other room, where the prison cells were, Chaos listened to them when someone entered the room.
"Will." Chaos sneered. "You will be defeated, and I will absorb you to become the most powerful creature in existence. After that, I will defeat the rangers myself and prove myself to Deboss as the best general he has."
Will smirked, restored to his full form by the energy of the remaining monsters. "We'll see about that, Chaos. After all, how could you destroy me when you can even break out of the cell?"
Will dangled the keys in his hand and then threw them in front of Chaos' cell, just a bit too far for Chaos to reach. Then, he turned and left.
"Foolish boy," Chaos shook his head. "Deboss is not your father, and you will not succeed in destroying the rangers." He smirked evilly. "That's my job."
Next time on Power Rangers Dino Squad: The rangers prepare for prom, and for some of them, graduation, while Deboss launches a full blown attack. However, things only get more complicated when Chaos breaks out of his prison cell to do some unexpected things. Will the rangers win or will they fall under pressure?
