Chapter 26
School has since started back since the incident with the twin's whisking Hisoka away on their little adventure to get her memory back. It may have been too soon for her to regain her memory all at once because her father was adamantly keeping everyone away from their home and not allowing her to come back to classes, all because she wouldn't stop crying after the twin's took her. Instead, her father is having one of Ouran's teachers come by and teach her all the materials she is missing while not being at school, like a homebound exception of sorts. Everyone noticed her absence and no one seemed to really want to bring it up because if they did a long silence would follow.
Honey looked up from his cake and looked over at the twins that looked so lost. They have refused to pay any attention to their customers, even though they still swooned over their expressions this was not how they usually acted. Everyone in the Host Club was having a difficult time with it, but the Hikaru and Kaoru seemed to be having the worst time with it. Haruhi came walking by with instant coffee in her hand looking around at all the tea cups looking for the ones that needed to be refilled. Honey looked back down at his cake, suddenly not feeling very ravished anymore. He squeezed Usa-chan much tighter than he was before.
"Hey Takashi," Honey started contemplating his strawberry cake Haruhi started refilling three of the cups on the table. The girls sitting with Mori and Honey were whispering excitedly to each other anticipating a very cute moment between the two cousins. "do you think if Hisoka comes back Hikaru and Kaoru would feel better?" Honey looked up at his cousin with his bright eyes. Mori looked down at him and nodded his head, "Yeah." Haruhi looked up from what she was doing and had a look of determination in her eyes.
"Hisoka just needs some time to recover from what happened. That the only reason Hisoka is not here!" Haruhi was very careful not to describe Hisoka as a girl because she did not want to upset someone even more. Tamaki looked over at Haruhi having heard her voice of determination. "But that does not give her father the right to keep us away from her…" Honey muttered sadly. Haruhi looked down sadly as well missing her friend. Honey was right on the count that keeping friends away from a healing person was the worst thing that can be done.
Suddenly Tamaki was on the table striking a pose, "Then that means that we will have to make a plan to sneak in a see our sweet Hisoka!" There was screaming in the background at this although the patrons of the club had no idea what the true circumstances of Hisoka's disappearance. There were only rumors, but no one knew what the truth was. Kyoya was making sure to keep it that way by quietly whispering words into people's ears and letting each rumors spread like wildfire. He did not want bad publicity for the club or that's what he wants everyone to believe.
The twins finally snapped out of their thoughts and looked up at the growing crowd of hosts around Tamaki who was standing on Honey and Mori's table. Hikaru and Kaoru looked at each other and slowly made their way over to the group. "I'm sorry ladies, but we'll have to close early today." Kyoya smiled one of his charming smiles. Even though the girls were whining in protest they slowly filed out of the Third Music Room leaving the Host Club in privacy. "What do you suggest Boss?" The twin's said in unison trying to play off that everything was fine even though it wasn't.
Tamaki whipped around and struck another pose, "We are going to go see her no matter what!" Everyone seemed to sweat drop at this proclamation. "The problem is that her father won't let us into the house. He has been there 24/7 watching Hisoka." Haruhi pointed out and Kyoya's glasses flashed knowing that he needed to step in to make this plan even work just a little bit. "I will handle her father." Kyoya said, his glasses flashing even more as he turned from the group and walked away. He walked away and began dialing a number.
"So we are going to go see Hiso-chan?!" Honey asked excitedly jumping onto his cousins shoulders. Tamaki nodded really excitedly to the upperclassman and the twins suddenly looked at each other with hope in their eyes. They really missed her, the whole entire Host Club did. Everyone was anticipating seeing their friend again it would be a relief to see her healthy and hopefully happy. At least if they saw her they would know that she was okay. If she wasn't everyone would be devastated especially the twin's. The twins took hold of each other's hands as if it was reassurance for them to know that they were both there and not missing. The fate of Hisoka's twin was scary to think about because if that happened to them…
"Let's go." Kyoya said moving towards the door. Everyone ran after him, excited to see their dear friend after what seemed to be so long.

"Hisoka?" The girl squeezed her eyes shut feeling like her mind was hazy and out of focus. "Hisoka, my dear, please open your eyes and look at me so I know you are listening." Hisoka opened her heavy eyelids and looked up at warm eyes that were her father's. He smiled tenderly at her and pats her head. "I have to leave for a little bit for some urgent business. I received a call and I'm a little concerned with what's going on." He murmured to the girl as if she was only five and couldn't truly handle the information given to her. Hisoka forced her eyes to open wider revealing her feline blue eyes.
"That's fine." Hisoka croaked. Her throat was raw from her tearless crying. She couldn't cry anymore though, all she felt now was empty. No one has come to visit her at all and now she just felt empty and alone. She hasn't felt like this in so long. She wasn't quite sure what she was supposed to do with all these weird emotions she has been feeling. She used to keep them so well bottled up, but now, she guessed, that the bottle was just shards no longer able to keep those pesky emotions hidden. Her father looked down at her with concern, like he really didn't want to leave her alone, "Are you sure you're okay-"
"I'm fine." Hisoka snapped, closing her eyes again and turned away from her father. She missed the sad look in his eyes, and the frown that graced his lips. "I'm only a phone call away." He whispered and placed her phone on the arm of the couch, right above her head. Her father then turned away and walked out of their home. He glanced back once over his shoulder, worry glimmering in his eyes, and pure unfiltered sadness. HIsoka laid there for what seemed like hours, but was really only minutes. Her mind was blank and empty and her soul felt. She remembered the doctor saying something about depression, but she just didn't have any energy to actually fully listen to what the doctor was saying to her father.
She just knew she didn't feel much. She just went with the routine her father set for her, get up, eat, listen to the tutor, and many other activities that he forced her to do throughout the day. It just didn't feel right to her. Her father had said routine helps heal, but all she wanted to do was see her friends again. She started to feel truly loved then. Without Hisoka even realizing it she was slowly rising from the couch and moving toward the stairs. When he mentioned routine Hisoka felt like it should have been her usual routine that she did every single day, not this one he planned. She felt so isolated.
Her footsteps were soft as she continued up the stairs and then her feet guided her towards the balcony. There was a faint banging on the front door and muffled voices, but Hisoka didn't hear it. All she heard were her screaming thoughts. They didn't really care! If they did they would be here! They would be here and show me they cared! Why aren't they here? They don't care. They don't care. THEY DON'T CARE! The banging had stopped. Hisoka had pulled the doors of the balcony open and made her way to the railing. Her eyes were blank, not actually seeing what she was doing. She flung her leg clumsily over the railing, then the other one-
"HISOKA WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?" Two simultaneous voices screamed running under the balcony. Other running feet followed hearing the commotion. The Host Club looked shocked. Hisoka blinked and realized where she was. She didn't remember getting here, but it looked like she was about to jump. She stared down at the group in surprise. Her thoughts were echoing in her head. They do care. Newfound tears found themselves in the corners of her eyes. The Host Club was panicking taking her tears for sadness as a way of goodbye to them. It was only the second story, but it could still seriously injure the girl.
"Please get down from there Hisoka!" Haruhi yelled. Hisoka nodded, but when she turned to climb off the railing she lost her grip and began her descent to the ground. Hisoka didn't even have time to scream. Honey jumped from Mori's shoulders, "BUN BUN COUSHION!" He through his Usa-chan to the ground and then all of a sudden it inflated into a giant cushion that caught Hisoka in the nick of time. She looked dazed, but she just laid there and stared at the sky with a silly smile on her face. She didn't want to jump; she felt a sudden warmth in her heart after seeing her friends.
Usa-chan slowly shrank back to its normal size before Hikaru suddenly picked her up in his arms. He began walking back her house and going back to the front door, Kaoru right by his side and the Host Club jogging behind them to keep up. Hisoka pointed where the hidden key was and Kaoru unlocked the door. Haruhi suddenly took the lead after catching up and showed them where her room was. Hikaru laid Hisoka down in her bed and laid down beside her, Kaoru tlaying down on her other side. Then it seemed to cause a sudden trend and the whole entire Host Club started to squeeze themselves into any space beside her trying to be near her and to show her that they cared, even Kyoya seemed to be there which was a bit odd. She didn't even realize she had been crying until Kaoru started whipping the tears from her face with his thumb. He was cooing at her to stop crying. She just smiled at him, then at Hikaru who was nuzzling her neck, and then at the rest of the Club members. A happy sob bubbled up in her throat and she couldn't keep it quiet. She hiccupped and snuggled down into the warmth of their bodies. Hisoka wasn't feeling empty anymore. She felt happy. She felt loved.
"WHAT IS THIS!?" Her father was standing in the doorway with wide eyes and mouth almost on the floor. Everyone looked at him, not making any indication they were going to move from their spots. Hikaru spoke first, "Sorry, but-" Kaoru finished, "we couldn't stay away!" Everyone voiced their agreement while the poor man was having a panic attack right there, until he saw his daughter small contented smile and bright happy eyes. This was something he has not seen in such a long time. He calmed down and stared at her before slowly backing out of the room.
Maybe I was wrong to keep them away.
