Flashback

(The Jaymes' are four years younger) The twins' room was on the left of the hallway upstairs. Their wall was painted dinosaur green, with Theo's side (which was the left) littered with dinosaurs and jetpacks and a map of the world's fault lines on his wall. Leo's side was littered with geometric shapes and telescopes and a picture of Bill Nye on his wall. There was a rocking chair next to the door, where their family would sometimes read to them in the night. This was one of those nights.

The twins got into their beds and Leo plugged in his blue nightlight. "Uncle Magnus." Theo yelled. A couple seconds later, they heard footsteps outside their door. Magnus stepped through.

"Yeah?"

"Can you read us a bedtime story?"

"Sure." He said and sat in the rocking chair.

"Tell us another warlock legend." Leo said.

"Yeah, can you!?"

Magnus laughed. Their enthusiasm was soooooo cute! "Ok, ok. Just let me think of one."

"Tell us the one that you said you would last time." Theo asked.

"Which legend was that?"

"The one about the three warlocks." Leo finished.

"Oh yeah! Ok, you ready?"

"Yeah!" the twins unisioned.

"Okay. Once upon a time, there were three warlocks. The first warlock was the second ones' sister, and the third warlock was the second ones' wife."

"What were their names?" Leo asked.

"Alana, Archie, and Melina. Anyways, the trio was being hunted by a warlock hunter. His name was David the Asshole."

The twins laughed.

"No, I'm kidding. His name was David the Horrible."

"Cuz he was a bad boy?" Theo asked.

"Exactly. Now, he hated warlocks. No one knew why, but he just did. So naturally, he hunted the three warlocks. So all three went to Alana's house. It was made out of sticks. So David took his warlock hunting weapon and blew the house up. But the trio had an underground system that led to the others' house. So they went to Archie's before Alana's house blew up. Archie's was made of clay, so it was stronger. But that didn't hold back David. He took his warlock hunting weapons-

"And blew the house up!" the twins finished.

"Yes. But he had a plan. He would fake walk away and when they came out to check if he really was gone, he'd shoot them. So he did exactly that. And a few minutes later, Melina came out to make sure he was gone. But as soon as she stepped outside, he shot her with his crossbow. It struck her through the heart and she fell to the ground."

The twins gasped

"Archie stepped out and zapped David to death with his green lighting."

"Why didn't he just kill him in the beginning?" Theo asked.

"Because David had protective gear that would block any magic."

"So how'd it kill him?" Leo asked.

"You'll see. Anyway, Archie ran over to his wife and he clutched onto her for dear life. But her time was up. She was gone."

"Aw man. Poor Archie. Stupid David the meanie!" Leo exclaimed.

"He began to cry. He cried and he cried and he cried. His tears rolled off his face and onto her. Specifically her wound. His tears sunk into it, and-

"Healed her?" Theo asked.

"That's stupid. That could never happen." Leo answered.

"It's a LEGEND. Anything can happen, party pooper."

"Theo's right though. It DID heal her. But not just her, everything within a mile of him. Which means their houses were once again houses and not scraps of wood and hay. The grass around him got greener and grew flowers and great big trees. Soon a forest enveloped them."

Leo frowned. "Why was all of that happening?"

"Because. Love goes the extra mile."

"I know that saying." Theo said.
"Yup. It came from that very story. And the three little pigs, but the saying is what we wanna focus on."

"But what does that have to do with anything?" Leo inquired.

"He loved his wife so much, that when his tears hit the ground, his love spread a mile wide and fixed anything and everything. Because-

"Love goes the extra mile." Theo finished.

"Exactly. And it's rumored that all warlocks have that ability, but no one knows for sure."

"How about I kill Leo and see if it works?" Theo joked. His twin stuck his tongue out at him.

"But all of that took power. So much power, that he had no more left in him. He became a mundane."

"Oh no." They unisioned.

"Yeah. But he thought it was worth it. He got to be with his wife and sister. And when he grew old and died, they buried him in the forest he made. And every day on the anniversary of his death, a green flower grows. One as pretty as I don't know. One that only grows there."

"Whoa. That's nice." Leo said.

"Yeah. I hope you die like that, daddy." Theo said.

"He's a warlock. He's not supposed to die, dumb butt."

"Look, I was just trying to be nice, so leave me alone."

Just then, they heard footsteps round the corner of the twins' room. A 13 year old, acne ridden Blu stepped through the door. No matter how much acne he had, he'd always look like a million bucks. It seemed as if everyone knew that, but Blu. Especially the girls, because his arm had a few phone numbers on them. It was like that a lot.

"Got more numbers, you stud muffin?" Magnus asked and smiled. Blu smiled nervously.

"Yeah. I tried telling them that I was probably not gonna call them, but they did it anyway."

"That's my boy."

Blu laughed nervously. "Yeah. Anyway, mom said the twins gotta go to bed."

"Aw, do we have to?" The twins asked.

End of Flashback

"Wh-what's going on here? Why do you look like me?" Jonathan asked.

Quick Blu. Think. "Because you're my twin." He slowly lied.

"Huh. Twin…cool. What's your name?"

"Blu."

Jonathan looked at him funny. "Is my name a color also?" he joked and cracked a very tiny smile.

"No, your…you don't remember your name?"

"I don't …remember…anything." It was at that moment that Jonathan looked down over the cliff. He gasped as he saw the ruin. The bodies, the fire, the darkened sky.

His eyes grew wide in panic. "What the hell happened here?" he asked.

"You happened."

His 'twin' turned to him. "The hell do you mean I happened?"

"You did all of this." Blu said and stretched his arm out to the wreckage. Jonathan looked out then back at Blu, his eyes glistening wet.

"How?"

"You…we're demons. Part demons. You were just closer to your demonic side than me. It kind of… controlled you."

"But I couldn't have." Once again he looked back down at the wreckage. A single tear dropped, slowly rolling off his curly eyelashes and gently hitting his cheek.

"But I…" He was at a loss for words. How could he have done any of this? It looks like a tank rolled through here. No. He couldn't have done this. It just didn't make sense.

"You gonna be alright, man?" Blu asked him.

"Why are you asking me that? Shouldn't you be asking the people down there? The ones that might actually be fucking hurt? The ones that aren't the monster!? The ones that…"His voice cracked as he shuddered. More tears flowed down.

Blu came in to hug him, but Jonathan pushed him away. Blu didn't give a damn and hugged him anyway.

They stood like that for a while. Jonathan's shudders became more violent as more tears flowed.

"It's ok, man. You're fine now. You're-

"Blu!" Magnus yelled and zapped the knife out of Jonathan's hand. It fell to the ground. Clink.

Jonathan removed himself from Blu's embrace fast, and stabbed him in the chest with the demonic blade. What the…how? Blu also fell to the ground, hitting his knees. Thump.

"No!" Magnus yelled. Jonathan took advantage of Magnus's momentary shock and kicked him off the cliff.

Jonathan stared down at Blu. "I can't believe you actually fell for that."

"You son of a bitch." He said and spat up blood.

Jonathan bent down and grabbed his chin. "Says the idiot who went and got himself killed." He stood back up. "During the explosion, your knife flew out of your hand and landed by me. I thought, well now everyone's gonna be on my ass. But then I thought of a plan. One that you would walk into without question. Told you being too nice would get you killed." Jonathan said and kicked Blu off of the cliff as well.

"You know I was gonna let you live, but you just had to go against me. I'm like an ocean. Swim away from me, I pull you back in. Swim alongside me, you might just make it out alive."

"Blu?" Magnus whispered. He had picked Blu's head and laid it gently on his lap. "C'mon Blu, you got this. You're gonna make it through." Blu breathed in and he began coughing. More blood splattered onto him. Magnus's eyes swelled with tears and some dropped onto Blu.

"I wouldn't waste your time. He's a goner. Now let's get down to business. You all are going to go away and leave me be, or suffer the consequences."

"What consequences? Your portal is destroyed." Maryse shouted at him.

"Yes, but a friend of mine was able to step through. You all know him, he's a man with class, but likes to play with his victims before he kills them." Jonathan said and grinned evilly. He stretched out his hand and a figure arose. It was at least 30 feet tall and looked as if it were made of smoke. Two darker tunnels made of smoke made up the things eyes and he had a row of razor sharp teeth that could pierce skin in an instant. His hands ended in long talons.

"Hello master." It said. He sounded as if he were underwater. A muffled type of sound, yet with a scratchiness to it.

"Hello…Abbadon. Do you remember these people?"

"Of course. They trapped me in that accursed box for quite a while."

"Would you like to have them feel your suffering?"

"Of course, young master." He said and flew down to the Shadowhunters. Most began to fight, but some began screaming and ran away. They were the first to die. He swept over them and when he came back over, they were on the ground dead and deformed.

The Jaymes' were running back up the cliff to get to Jonathan. He was now standing on the very edge, chanting something.

Someone else was also running up the cliff. An aura of red. Jocelyn.

Magnus made an energy field around the Blu. He held onto his hand at his breathing got shallower.

"Dad." Blu said weakly.

"Yeah?"

"Prot-" He erupted into a coughing fit. "Protect them, ok?"

"You know I will, but you can protect them yourself because you're gonna be fine."

"Put my body in a sexy pose when I die."

"What?"

"I don't wanna go out looking like shit. I wanna look fine tonight." He laughed.

Magnus laughed too. "I won't have to do that because-

"Stop. Stop trying to ease it up."

"But you didn't even live to see twenty."

"Hey. I've lived more life than any twenty or eighty year old man ever has. Plus, I'm a demon. I've got ballen status skills. How many people can say that? Guess I just didn't have enough skills though, huh?"

Magnus could feel Blu's heart slowing. He looked out of the field and at the cliff. His family was fighting for him. They were trying so hard, but Magnus knew it'd be in vain. He had to get back out there, but he just couldn't leave his son. He wouldn't. At least not yet.

"Do me a favor dad. Tell Jocelyn…that she's a bitch. And tell Nana I for…give…her." Blu took his last breath and his head slacked to the side. His shirt was stained with blood and so was his mouth. Magnus would've thought he was asleep if it wasn't for those factors.

Magnus erupted into tears. He had lost many loved ones in the past, but none of them was his son. His heart felt heavy with pain. So much pain. Too much pain.

His tears went pitter patter against Blu. A tear caught onto his jacket and rolled down into Blus' wound. Magnus looked back up at the battle. Abbadon was flying over the head of the Shadowhunters, spewing nasty, smoky clouds in their direction. As it lay waste to them, more bodies littered the ground.

He suddenly felt weak. As if all the energy around him had disappeared. As if on cue, his shield began to dissolve. My emotions are effecting my powers. A few seconds, the shield was gone. He knew he should move, but he just couldn't. He was pretty sure he couldn't move Blu without Abbadon seeing him and going after him.

He heard footsteps. "Are you going to be ok?" Alec asked.

"Just go."

"I...he loved you. He still does. I hope you know that. That's all that matters." Alec reached down, quickly wiped a tear away from Magnus's face and left to fight.

Magnus looked away at him.

A sudden movement on Magnus broke him out of his reverie. He looked down and saw Blu's eyes opened.

"Dad? What's going on?" he said and sat up.

"What? How?" He gasped. The legend. Archie. HOLY... SHIT. IT'S TRUE. "It's true. It's true! Blu! You're okay!" He jump hugged him, knocking him back on the ground.

"What the hell are you talking about!?" he said when Magnus let him go.

"The legend! The Legend of Archie! It's true! It's real! My tears went into your wound and it healed you. It brought you back."

"Brought me back from where, nigga?"

"The dead, you moron."

"Oh. I died?" he asked in disbelief.

"Yes, but right now there's a battle going on, and you have to kill Jonathan. You kill that tricky son of a bitch."

"Wait but how'd I-

"Later. Let's go." Magnus said and they charged into battle.
