It's been a long, long while, I hit a wall with this story. I just couldn't think of anything to write, but I decided to just make up an arc and pretend the GGM has already happened, I know I said I'd write them, but I'm doing it with another story, you may or may not have read, and I really don't like it, I find it really boring to write about.

I might involve some bits for the manga, I might not, it depends how I feel.

The sounds of fighting echoed through the halls and rooms. The thud of punches drilled rhythmically to the ears of anyone who stood in close proximity to the training hall. The smell of salty sweat would invade the noses of those not fighting or training, and once they entered the hall, they'd be greeted by the sight of four dragon slayers versus almost all of the Fairy Tail Guild. Noir stood too casually next to the three others; she didn't look even slightly concerned. Laxus was frowning and sighing every so often, he was prepared for the fight. Gajeel made no noise other than the occasional grunt as he punched and fended of the people of Fairy Tail. Natsu just looked fired up.

The Dragon Slayers didn't use magic, they out right refused to do it, resorting to hand to hand combat, but the members of the guild didn't grant them the same luxury, throwing every piece of magic they could muster up to the four. It was safe to say that even Noir and Laxus were thankful Gildarts was on a very long mission, for away from all this. The master himself was at a meeting, they were fine, for now. As much as Noir knew she could end this battle in a click of her fingers, she couldn't hurt the guild, they, as much as it annoyed her, were family.

"Get your mate and get out of here damnit Laxus!" Noir roared as she threw herself in front of said Lightning slayer, taking more blows than she was willing to admit for him. Her body had already began to ache from the onslaught of magic. All powerful as she was, her body was only human.

"Why don't you grab her and run?!" Laxus roared back. "You have a better chance!" Their eyes met for a split moment, dominance demanded them both to fight but the time wasn't now and they both turned away, continuing to defend.

"I can't travel with lighting you dumbass!" Noir shouted back. "You grab her and you zap yourself as far away as you can go!"

Laxus let out a growl of distaste, and eyed the exit before he looked at Noir. "If anyone dies or gets seriously hurt, I will hunt you down and kill you. I don't care if you're immortal, all the better, when you raise, all the better, I'll kill you again and again and again."

"What happens if I get hurt?" Noir asked dryly, knowing bruises on her body were already forming.

"Sucks to be you, you should find Lyon, they might go after him." Laxus said before he bolted out, faster than anyone could comprehend; now only three dragon slayers remained.

"I can't keep this up forever violet." Gajeel grumbled out, slamming his fist into Droy's face, and then turning to do the same to Jet, and then with much regret, to Levy.

Noir shrugged and ducked a sword sailing towards her from Erza. "I'll hold them off, you two escape."

"Wait what? We're family, family fight together!" Natsu shouted at her, horrified but Noir shrugged in response, slamming her fist into the ground, a pillar of earth shooting upwards, taking the two other Dragon Slayers with it, leaving Noir to fight alone, hoping they could run and hide before she fell.

LUCY'S POV

The highest shelf was hard to reach for the petite blonde, but she'd promised herself she'd clean the whole flat, and that was what she was going to go. It'd been so long since it had a proper dusting. The dust had begun to irritate Laxus's and Noir's noses, Natsu's as well but she didn't really care about that. It wasn't that her house was dusty because she neglected it, she'd just been dragged out on a lot of missions lately, or spent time with Noir, trying to convince the purple headed dragon to consider adding my colour to her closet.

She paused for a moment, thinking of Noir, Mira and Erza were supposed to have arrived at her house by now, all offering to help tidy and clean, some more reluctantly than others. Evergreen had offered to shop up slightly later than the others as she was busy for a bit, but even the time for her to arrive had past, and Lucy grew slightly worried.

She heard a crash, and the smell of burnt electrical items wafted up to her. She sighed, as much as she enjoyed this person's presence, he'd only serve as a distraction and get in the way. Although he was tall, and could reach the high shelves. Then came the noise of urgent thumping on her door, aggressive and almost panicked. She sighed and wandered over to her door, opening and giving the knocker a cold glare.

"Aren't you supposed to be doing paper work?" She asked tiredly. "Where are Mira, Noir, Erza and Evergreen?"

"Can't exactly chat Blondie." Laxus said as he pulled her from her flat, stopping only to lock the door, with a key she had no idea he had, and continue to drag her down the stairs into the street, before he zapped them to a house, in a forest, in the middle of nowhere. "This is a safe house only I and gramps know about." He said as he pushed her inside, locking the door behind him and switching on the lights.

"What's happening?" Lucy asked tiredly. "I swear if this is one of you-" She was cut off with a hand covering her mouth.

"The whole guild went crazy and started attacking Myself, Noir, Natsu and Gajeel." Laxus said, evidently angry at himself for leaving the three behind. "Noir told me to go get you and get you somewhere safe; they're still fighting as far as I'm aware."

Lucy went to say something but quickly composed herself. "And why did they start attacking you four exclusively? Maybe it's because you're dragon slayers and someone cast a spell or something." Lucy said, trying to keep a rational mind, and not slap Laxus.

"Wendy was attacking us to." Laxus said with a defeated sigh. "Natsu dragged us to the library because he found some book on Dragons, shouting it might help him and Gajeel find their parents, it might help Noir kill Acnologia and I have no idea why the brat dragged me into it, but the moment we walked through the door, everyone started attacking us, we only just managed to get to the Training Are so the damage was lessened."

"You left those three to fight the guild by themselves." Lucy said and Laxus nodded, looking at a point on the wall, refusing the meet Lucy's death glare. "Noir might be strong but she isn't going to unleash the power of death onto her family, Natsu is strong but he wouldn't dream of hurting his family, Gajeel is still trying to gain everyone's trust so he won't hurt them." Lucy said exasperated. "They'll fight until they fall."

Lucy ranted for an hour, a whole hour at Laxus, angry for leaving her friends alone, not quite understanding just how much she meant to him, and his first priority was her protection. Then Laxus suddenly opened the door to reveal battered and bruised Natsu and Gajeel. They were probably going to get an earful from Lucy, Laxus almost felt sorry for them.

"She forced us to leave!" Natsu said with clenched fists. "She's over estimating her power! She'll get beaten!"

Gajeel looked at Lucy and shook his head. "Violet forced us out, covered our retreat. I'm not sure she'll come out of this the same."

A laughing came from behind them, and they turned to see said Dragon Slayer, covered in blood, barely able to walk laughing. She brushed her hair from her eyes and shook her head, before she fell, onto the cold hard ground, unconscious and unresponsive to the world.

Laxus had to carry the bloodied mage to a bed, and Lucy cleaned her up, tended to all her wounds as she murmured something about wishing Wendy was here. It wasn't long before Noir bolted up right.

"How did you find us anyway?" Laxus asked.

"Your smell." Natsu said simply with a shrug as the three of them watched Lucy and Noir interact.

It was safe to say Noir was vexed, confused, and livid even. She, as well as the others, had no idea what was going on. People she once called friends and guild mates had just turned on them and attacked, and she had no idea. It could be a spell or an artefact, it could be anything, and there was nothing they could do.

"I hate magic!" Noir suddenly announced as she flopped back down onto her bed. "I don't even know what this spell will do, what happens if they end up going after people who are close to us?"

"It's a spell?" Lucy asked quietly as she looked down at hers hands.

"Even if it was some old relic, it'd have a spell on it. You'll need a spell to combat it, or destroy it. Look, it's dark magic, not the darkest of dark, but it's dark. The only person I know about that'd know anything about this sort of magic is Zeref. I really don't want to try and find the sissy fucker, and he ain't going to pop out of nowhere to help."

"What about you Violet?" Gajeel asked as he crossed his arms and leant against the wall, glaring at her.

"I can kill them all in a spell." Noir offered with a shrug and then sighed. "It's not like dark magic doesn't have a price, it'll sap them of something if it's a relic, it'll fuck the caster up if it's just a spell."

"Terra, what's the price of your death magic?" Noir glared at him for the use of her birth name but shrugged.

"My mortality, the more I use it, the less of a chance I have to become mortal." Noir bit her lip and looked at Natsu. "You and I are alike in many ways."

"Well yeah, we're dragon slayers, and didn't die when a death spell hit us." Natsu said with a shrug and Noir only smiled.

"I'll seek out Zeref, I trust you'll find something to occupy your time." Noir said as she rose from the bloodied bed. "Maybe he'll know, maybe he won't, just try not to die, yeah?"
