That's Right. Not 1. Not 2. But THREE chapters IN ONE DAY! With over 10,000 Words of Will and his insane cousin Tom, nothing could possibly go wrong! *Insane laugh* Oh dear god, I'm turning into one of him...(Poof, Weegee Tom and Will)[Yes, I am using a meme that old.]
After the crazy night with Tom almost killing me, I thought I deserved a good rest. Unfortunately, where I live, that's impossible. Crawling into bed was an easy task, but waking up in the morning was a completely different story.
Buried under the covers, I was suddenly awoken from my deep sleep by a deep rumbling sensation. I poked my head out from the blanket and looked around. Everything in the room was shaking rather violently. Turning my gaze, I found myself alone in the room. With a deep sigh, I rolled out of bed and slouched downstairs.
As I got progressively closer to the source, I had to grab the railing to stop myself from falling down the stairs. When I finally reached the back room, I found the reason of commotion. Tom was DJing with his new equipment.
The entire house seemed to tremble under the force of the sound waves as Tom played his music. As I managed to watch him swiftly move his hands around the new deck, I saw that he hadn't noticed me yet. Irritated that he had woken me from my slumber, I decided to get my revenge.
Crouching behind a couch, I steadily made my way towards Tom. When I got to his speakers, I was forced to cover my ears as the heavy bass-lines throbbed in my head. Slipping behind the table Tom had set up; I slowly got to my feet and watched Tom DJ from behind. He gradually brought in a new, heavier song that nearly seemed to shake the foundations of the house. As the song began to intensify before the "bass drop", I stuck my head into Tom's face, who instantly jolted in fright. I tried to pull back but found my stance to be extremely unbalanced. My right foot suddenly slipped and I found myself falling to the ground, dragging Tom with me.
As we hit the ground, Tom's hand brushed against one of the deck's jog wheels, causing it to abruptly cut off the rising dubstep song. I looked apologetically at Tom who scowled at me before quickly recovering and returning to his work. When I got up, I noticed him bring in a soothing trance song before turning to me.
"Really, Will?" He said with the same scowl.
"More like, 'really Tom'! Dude, I know you're excited about your new gear; but seriously, you don't have to wake us up with it!" I retorted angrily.
Tom held up his hands, "Look, you're completely right. I just wanted to enjoy all of this," he gestured around the house, "while I can."
He was right; he did have a right to enjoy his new stuff, "I'm okay with you playing your music. I'm just concerned with what the others think and the sound nearly bringing the house down." I explained.
Tom smiled as he brought the volume down considerably. He then turned to me and yawned, "I swear my medicine keeps getting weaker. Every time I get up, I feel more and more tired."
I looked at him puzzled, "You don't remember last night?"
He narrowed his eyes suspiciously at me, "What do you mean?"
"Well, you, uh, had some kind of vision. Then, well you attacked Luna and I, but we managed to knock you out." I explained sheepishly.
Tom was quite for a moment, "So you saw my nightmare then?"
"Yeah." I confessed.
"Well that's ironic." Tom mumbled.
"Why?" I asked.
An amused smile peeked from his frown, "Princess Luna, also known as Nightmare Moon, witnessed one of my nightmares." He chuckled, "I honestly don't know whether to call that an honor or an embarrassment."
"You know she's not Nightmare Moon anymore." I answered.
"People change, ponies change, everything around us change. Judging by what I see in Luna, she's struggling with her dark side. Just watch, that evil will be leaking through any time now." He muttered as he studied a flashing blue light on the back of a speaker.
I didn't know what to say so I stayed quiet while Tom adjusted his speakers. To be honest, I think I've seen them before, "Where'd you get those speakers? They look familiar."
Tom flashed a grin, "Went hunting in the barn. They were buried under a bunch of stuff."
"They look kinda old. I can buy you new ones." I said while inspecting them.
"They're fine, trust me." Tom said dismissively, "Although I wouldn't mind a new pair for when I head home." He interjected thoughtfully.
"Just remind me, and we'll pick out the best." I said while patting Tom on the back.
After the song took a new, upbeat perspective I asked Tom, "Have you seen the others?"
He didn't look up from his laptop screen, "I think I scared them outside for breakfast."
"I wouldn't be surprised." I replied cockily as I strode out the back door.
Surprisingly, I found all of the ponies had taken the kitchen table and placed it in front of the barn. They had cooked up their own breakfast or had taken it from the kitchen and were eating quietly.
I slid into an empty chair wordlessly and began to eat. While I ate, I noticed the ponies watching me. I silently finished my meal before addressing them, "Look, I know he's a bit, different, but he's my cousin. I promised my aunt that I'd let him stay here for a few weeks."
There was silence before Rainbow Dash spoke up, "To be honest, I like the stuff he plays. It's not rock and roll, but it's the music that gets you going."
Pinkie Pie nodded enthusiastically, "Dashie's right! Your cousin's music can really keep a party going! Why don't we throw another party with him as the DJ? It'll be so perfectly fun!"
I pondered this, "Well, I don't see any harm in it. What do all of you think?"
The rest of the ponies glanced at each other. Finally, Twilight spoke up, "I guess so. It seems everypony here agrees with the idea. Just make sure he doesn't play too loud."
I smiled and helped everyone clean up. When we got back inside, I notice the DJ equipment abandoned. I finally found Tom at the front door, chatting with Diana who had apparently been given an early shift today.
"Wow, NIU? What for?" Diana asked as I got closer.
"Musical engineering. I'm sorting things out so I can get myself booking it in the clubs," Tom explained.
"Life already planned out for you, huh?" Diana said with a sly grin.
Tom shrugged, "Hopefully not. I want some more surprises before I want to settle down."
"Ooh, William's talked so much about you but I didn't know you were a daredevil." Diana said impressed.
Tom chuckled, "Nah, but although I do love a good adventure."
"You ever need someone to help you on a dangerous quest, I'm you're gal." Diana said with a cocky smirk.
"I'll keep that in mind." Tom replied with a smile.
I decided it was time to intervene so I stepped into view, waving as I did, "Hey, guys, what's going on?"
Tom decided to answer, "Just met Diana. I was telling her about college."
"I was talking to him about our past in high school." Diana added.
At the word "high school" Tom seemed to cringe. He quickly recovered and lay back on the wall while running a hand through his hair. Diana didn't seem to notice, "Will, is that asshole coming back again?"
Tom raised an eyebrow at me while I answered, "I'm not sure. JJ has a habit of popping at the most random times. Like a few days ago."
"Oh, I remember JJ." Tom said with a smile.
"Isn't he the worst!?" Diana asked.
Tom shrugged, "Nah, he was pretty cool. What's he doing now anyway?"
"He joined the military." I answered.
Tom whistled impressed, "Well then. That's something to be proud of. You know, I've always considered joining myself. Always thought about building drones for the Department of Defense and such."
I chortled at the thought, "Good luck with that. Though remember, both his parents were in the military. It was inevitible that he'd be there too. It's only a matter of time before Fisher is in there too."
Tom chuckled nervously, "Heh, ever got someone fucking with you, go get the Deermender family, got it."
I chuckled as well and turned to Diana, "So what are you doing here so early anyway?"
"Well, my boss has changed up the schedule thanks to some idiot getting sick. So for now, I'm stuck with you in the morning." She finished with a cocky smile.
I smiled warmly, "Well then, that sound wonderful. I get to wake up each morning to occasionally see Diana deliver my mail."
She punched me playfully in the arm, "Yeah well it's a big pain in the ass to wake up early to deliver mail, so you're the lucky one here. Whoops I almost forgot, I brought you more muffins. There are plenty of them so you two can share."
As she went out to her truck to get the muffins, I glanced at Tom who was opened his mouth to speak before I cut him off, "Mmm, you always know how to make me happy when you visit." I called after her. I quickly looked around in case any of the others were present.
"What's wrong, Will?" Tom asked suspiciously.
"Diana doesn't know about our guests. So say that some are family and some are friends staying for a reunion." I explained hastily, occasionally glancing to see where Diana was.
Tom followed my gaze and purred, "Man, I have to admit you scored completely."
"First, I didn't 'score.' Second, remember what I just said; and third, what do you think of her anyway?" I asked curiously.
Tom smiled, "Oh, you scored. She told me about you guys during high school. I'll remember, don't worry. Finally, I'd eat that up. No joke."
"You're disgusting." I hissed as Diana neared.
"Not like that!" Tom said defensively while putting up his hands, "In an insane 'I'm going to slurp up your body fluids and enjoy it while caressing you' sort of way." He explained with an innocent look on his face.
At that moment, Diana returned. She looked at Tom with confusion before he quickly added, "One of the grossest horror movies of all time. I have to admit." He said with one of his recurring fake smiles.
Realization dawned on her face as she held up another basket of muffins, "Here you guys go. Enjoy!"
As I took the basket, Tom nodded in appreciation while I thanked Diana. "Alright, here's your mail, William. I need to go finish my route so that I can score some more va-ca time."
Just as she turned to leave, Luna was suddenly at my side, "Will, we need to discuss our plans for-" she stopped when she noticed Tom and Diana, "Pardon me, am I interrupting something?"
Tom spoke first, "No not all, uh, Aunt, uh-" He struggled, trying to properly name Luna.
"Aunt Lisa! Geez, Tom, remember your family!" I mock scolded.
Tom quickly grinned while Diana commented, "Oh, I didn't know you had family over."
I answered before anyone else, "Yeah, we're, uh, having a reunion tonight."
"A reunion? Wow, that sounds fun!" Diana replied.
Dreadfully, Pinkie Pie appeared next to Tom, "Ooh, it's gonna be a big party! We need all of the people we can get!" She said giddily.
"Isn't a 'family reunion'?" Diana asked.
It was Tom's turn to screw things up, "Nah, we're pretty open with guests. In fact, since it's been so long since you've seen Will, why don't we add you as another reunion? A reunion of friends, perhaps?" He suggested.
Diana hopped up and down happily, "Oh, that would be wonderful! What time should I be here?" She asked excitedly.
"Be here at, uh, let's say, eight. That cool with you?" Tom responded.
Diana gave him a thumbs-up, "Perfect. See you guys then!" She said while sprinting back to her truck.
When she was gone, I turned angrily on Tom and Pinkie, "What the hell!? I didn't even have a chance to speak before she left! Now, she's gonna come by and see Rarity, oh man." I said, burying my head in my hands.
"What's so bad about Rarity?" Tom asked.
"I may have misled her to falling for me. That's what I can put together of what intel the others are giving me," I answered.
Tom was shocked, "Windy's dating a girl out of pop culture! That's just, wow, so cool! Wait, why can't Diana see her then?"
I sighed, "As she probably told you, Diana and I dated during high school. Since then, we haven't technically broken up. Besides, Diana is such a nice girl, and seeing her again reminds me how much I loved her."
Understanding dawned on Tom's face, "Oh, okay. Wait, that sucks. So how are you going to deal with it?"
"I don't know! You and Pinkie got me in this mess in the first place!" I growled.
"Just chill, Windy. You'll get through this." Tom replied.
I looked at him annoyed, "How are we going to fix this?" I asked angrily.
Tom shrugged, "You came to the wrong guy for girl problems, dude. Hmm, ask Twilight, maybe she can help."
"I agree with Tom, Will. Twilight is most resourceful." Luna supported.
I considered this, "I guess I will, but I forgot to tell you that we actually are throwing a party, Tom. One in your honor, to be exact." I explained.
Tom was dumbfounded, "Seriously? That's so freaking cool! Thanks, guys. I feel, well, I fell happy."
"Why wouldn't you be happy, silly?" Pinkie Pie asked.
Tom opened his mouth to answer but looked at me first. Knowing Tom, he would probably say something dark so I quickly shook my head. Looking back at Pinkie Pie, Tom simply shrugged, confusing Pinkie even more.
"Anyway, since it's my party. I believe that I should organize it. However, we have to make it look like it's really a reunion." Tom explained.
"Ooh, Tom! I'm excellent at organizing parties." Pinkie said while bouncing around.
"Well of course you are, you're Pinkie Pie!" Tom replied.
Pinkie smiled back, "That's me! So, what do you want me to do?" She asked.
After pondering this for a moment Tom answered, "Well, we need to get a bunch of food, make decorations, and set up the party area. That kind of stuff."
"I'm absolutely perfect with that stuff! You can count on me!" Pinkie said happily before running off to prepare.
"And what exactly are you going to do?" I asked Tom.
Tom shrugged as he snatched my car keys and walked outside, "I guess I'll pick up the props." He said as he strode off the porch.
"What kind of props?" I called after him.
He stopped and turned to me with a knowing grin, "Will, you're throwing a party in my honor. That automatically places me as the DJ for it. So, I need to prepare for my gig." He explained.
As he slid into the driver's seat of my car I yelled to him, "With what money?"
I suddenly saw my credit card being twirled in Tom's hand. I checked my back pocket, it was gone. "Dammit, Tom!" I cursed as he pulled out of the driveway.
As he pulled away, I turned around and placed my head in my hands once more as I thought about how I was going to cope with Diana meeting Rarity.
-Tom POV-
I eased Will's car into the local Party City and hopped out. After a moment of stretching, I trudged inside and began examining the isles for what I needed. Five minutes later, I walked up to the checkout line with my necessary supplies. When it was my turn, I dumped two large fog machines, an assortment of DMX and LED lighting systems, and a series of laser casters. Following me swiping Will's credit card, I packed everything neatly into the trunk of the car before setting out for the more sinister part of this trip.
Eventually, I slowed the car near an expansive forest preserve after making several quick trips to the bank to pick up some cash and a fireworks store to place an order for tonight. When I arrive, I park the car and began slowly pacing on the trails. I love nature walks, they're one of the few things that help me forget about the world. I make sure to stop often to watch birds flutter through trees, butterflies to hover above flowers, and fish swim through the narrow creeks. Finally, after walking past many joggers, fishers, and nature watchers, I see my target: a muddled old man wearing a grungy brown coat with worn boots. His long gray hair is covered in dirt and tangled everywhere. He is huddled behind a bench, wheezing heavily.
"Excuse me." I call out as calmly as I can manage.
He turns abruptly, his black beady eyes sizing me up cautiously, "What do you want?"
I notice him clutching a brown paper bag with his gnarled fingers wrapped in dirty rags. I take a deep breath before asking, "What are you doing?"
"None of your damn business!" He snarls, exposing his rotted, brown teeth.
"Oh? Actually," I state matter-of-factly, "I work here at the park. The station has received several complaints about you living here."
The old man growls before answering, "I ain't hurting nobody! I just want to live in peace and enjoy the finer things in life." He explains, holding up the brown bag.
"Hmm, I have orders to kick you out or call the cops; but I can strike a deal with you if you're willing." I say, grinning mischievously.
The old man considers before asking, "What kind of deal?"
"First thing's first, what's in the bag?" I demand.
He narrows his eyes, "Siphoned gas."
"Inhalants?" I inquire.
"Yeah, I have no damn car, so I like huffing it, see?" He clarifies before taking a long whiff, his eyes rolling into the back of his head.
"Since you have no car, I believe you stole it then?" I clarify.
His scowl deepens, "What the hell do you think? I'm old and homeless. I've given up on life, so now I'm stuck huffing this here gas."
I scoff silently before smiling, "You seem rather reasonable person for what I need."
"That so?" He questions.
"Yes. I need a large supply of liquid chloroform or Rohypnol. Can you help me?" I ask.
"Eh?" The old man looks at me confused.
I decide to dumb it down for him, "Date rape drugs. You got it?"
He smirks evilly, "It's the fucking woods. This place is like Mother Nature's supermarket. Of course I have some."
"How much?"
"Eh, I'll give ya twenty packages of the chloro-stuff for about three-hundred bucks." He describes.
I consider this for a moment before pulling three hundred bills from my pocket and holding the up, "This cover it?"
He squints, examining the green slips of paper before grinning, "That'll do. Wait here." He instructs before disappearing into the brush.
I sit on the bench. While I wait, I contemplate my plan. Will hadn't brought up the event of my "Nightvision" to me earlier. So when he asked me if I was alright the next morning, I had lied and said that I didn't remember anything. After that, I had played it cool, acting normally, chatting it with my heroes from another world, and spouting witty quotes here and there until I heard what Firework had done.
Over the years, I had toned my skills in stealth, allowing myself to easily hide and move about despite my large frame. Anyway, while getting a late-night snack, I overheard Firework flirting with Rainbow Dash.
While I eavesdropped from the kitchen, I heard him tell Rainbow, "So guess what I did to that weirdo."
"Which weirdo?" Rainbow asked.
"The human's cousin." He replied, causing me to grit my teeth in anger.
"What'd you do?" Rainbow asked.
There was a pause, probably Firework smiling cockily before he replied, "I switched out that medicine he takes with jelly beans I found in the kitchen. So that night, that idiot ate the jelly beans instead of the pills and then he had a panic attack and bit the Princess."
Silence filled the air for a moment before Rainbow reacted, "Are you crazy? He could've hurt somepony!"
A scoff from Firework, "He couldn't do anything if he wanted to! I'll admit it was hilarious though." He said with a quiet chuckle.
"You're asking for it, Firework." Rainbow said as I heard her walk away.
"Oh, he's asking for it alright!" I had thought angrily as I slipped back to my spot on the floor.
Following this, I had silently sworn revenge. So now, Firework was going to pay the price. The insane way.
Finally, I heard the old man return, his wheezing getting louder and louder as he nears.
I got up and turned to him, he holds up a single bag of chloroform.
"That's it?" I demanded.
He shrugged, "Mother Nature's working kinda slow lately."
"Fine." I grumbled and handed him ten dollars.
"Where's the rest?" He slurred.
"I wanted twenty bags, I got one. So there you go." I replied.
"This wasn't the deal!" He howled.
He growls before charging me, but I was ready. As he neared, I flipped out a handy pocket knife and pointed the shiny blade at his chest.
"Back up or you die." I hissed.
He slid to a stop, he looked at me with pure hatred, "You won't do it."
"You wanna try me?" I whisper, flipping the blade in my hand.
He eventually backs away, "This wasn't the deal."
"I know, I'm disappointed too, but hand me the bag and we'll be all good. Trust me." I say, offering my hand.
He irritably slaps the bag into my hand and walks away, grumbling curses under his breath. I turn away and slip the bag into my pocket before trekking back to Will's car. When I get there, I enter and stare at my reflection in the rear-view mirror.
"Alright, Tom, it's show-time." I say while starting up the engine to the car and driving away.
The sun is starting to go low as I pull into Will's driveway. I yawn and stretch while examining the contents of the car's trunk, hovering my fingers over them excitedly. One by one, I unload the boxes and carry them to the backyard, gradually setting up my venue for tonight.
I head to the back where I had previously moved my stuff. I inspect what I have already: the table, my deck, my song collection, the speakers with their stands, and my headphones before adding my new equipment. First, I add the LEDs along the table, posing them so that they would illuminate me while I play. Then, I place the DMX lights alongside me so that they can flash sideways. The lasers I put in front of my deck and computer so they can cast over the others. Finally, I hide the fog machines under the table which is adorned with a black cloth to add surprise. When I'm done, I poke my head into the living room to find Will engaged in a game on his computer.
"What're you doing, Will?" I ask.
He jolts before turning to me, "Oh, Tom, you're back. I'm just playing TF2 with Rainbow."
"TF2?" I question.
"Team Fortress 2." He clarifies, gesturing to his computer screen, displaying the first-person view of a person holding a butterfly knife and a yellow pocket watch.
"I see. Is it hard to play?" I inquire.
He shakes his head, "Nah, if you learn the controls well enough, it's easy."
I shrug, "Can I give it a go?"
Will smirks, "Sure, just let me finish this match with Rainbow."
I watch as the character Will is playing as turns into a corridor. As he nears a large, open area, a man, presumably Rainbow, suddenly drops down with a scattergun and fires, making Will jump and his character fly a small ways away.
Rainbow's character starts jumping and slapping his thigh. Rainbow is cheering in the background. Will's character in-game moves behind Rainbow and Will's character, whom appeared invisible I'm guessing, became visible, causing an appropriate reaction from Rainbow.
"Oh, you Dead Ringing piece of-," she's cut off by the sound of her character screaming as Will's knife instantly kills her. I slightly gape as Will's perspective shifts to 3rd person and his character bends over and laughs.
Rainbow got up as Will disconnected, "You're cheap, you know," Rainbow bluntly stated.
"You need to learn the attributes of a Dead Ringer Spy," Will laughs, "Either way, Tom here wants to play, care to teach him the ropes?"
Rainbow's irritated face comes into view, "I've gotta prepare for the party. Scootaloo can teach him." She gets up, and walks into full view. I can't help but growl in hunger when I see her body, but I manage to stop myself.
Will pats me on the back, "I'll go get her. Don't worry, we'll teach you how to play one way or another." He says before leaving.
I sit down and begin the tutorial for the game, a few minutes later; Scootaloo enters the room to see me playing a heated online match.
"Wow, how'd you become so good?" she asks, sitting down to watch.
"I-I don't know. I guess it must come naturally." I answer after a series of clicks to finish off an unaware Heavy.
"Wanna go a match?" she asks eagerly, running off to bring the other laptop over to me. I disconnect off the game I was in and join Scootaloo in a one-on-one match.
We begin with me choosing the Engineer on the Gorge map and leaving the spawn area. Soon, I racked up more than twenty kills against Scootaloo.
After I beat her in three matches she turns to me, "I seriously can't understand how good you are at this."
I smile and shrug, "I don't get it either."
"You should challenge Rainbow, or even Will!" Scootaloo whispers excitedly.
I get up and stretch, "Not yet. I still need more practice."
Scootaloo stands as well, "One day, you need to take them on."
I pat her on the shoulder, "I will, soon."
I hear the doorbell ring and answer it to find a young Latino man with a scraggly beard offer me a clipboard, "You order fireworks, yes?" He asks.
I nod and sign, "You need help setting up?" he questions.
"Nah, I'm good, thank you." I reply before walking with him to his pick-up truck packed with fireworks.
"You like?" he inquires as I probe around.
"Very." I answer as he both grab the fireworks and carry them to the backyard.
He helps me set them up, I give him a fifty dollar tip and he leaves. I smile at the special detonator he gave me for on-the-go launching.
As I look at it, I see a black Mercedes pull in, with a blonde figure inside the driver's seat. I wave at Diana as she parks the car.
Soon, I watch as Will walks out and gawks at my set.
"Well," He states, "shit." He adds a few moments later.
Diana strides up to us and hugs him. I quickly tell him, "All thanks to you, cuz."
"How soon until show-time?" I ask.
"It's seven forty-five now, so about fifteen minutes." Will replies.
I watch as he walks to inspect my equipment, "If I didn't know you, I'd seriously consider you a professional."
"I'm going to go inside and get situated with the others," Diana says kissing Will and going inside.
"To think that I've only had some of this stuff for only a few days; plus the new surprises I put in today." I add.
"That makes it even more great." Will clarifies with a wink.
"If you don't mind me asking, how're you going to handle the whole 'Rarity and Diana' situation?" I question.
"That's where you come in." Will replies.
"Oh? I get to be pulled into drama? Yay, me!" I react with a fake cheer.
"Don't worry, it'll be fun. Besides, you won't be actively in this. You're the distraction." Will explains.
"Is that so?" I ask intrigued.
Will nods, "Yeah. Your job is to play your music and keep at least one of them dancing. That way, they won't be bored into conversation."
"I can handle that, but what about if they are going to eat or something at the same time?" I inquire.
"I'll make sure to keep watch." Will answers.
"Okay, roger that." I finish, turning on my laptop to get my software going.
Will begins to leave before turning back and asks, "Which girl is better?"
I look up and fix him with a puzzled look, "Are you asking which girl I find better, or which girl do I find best for you?"
"I guess both." He replies.
I sigh, "Well, to be honest, in my own tastes, I would go for Diana. Rarity is completely unlike me, to a varying degree. If your tastes remain like in the past, I think you would choose Diana as well."
"Why's that?" Will asks.
"I can't believe I'm saying this, but it's because Diana is more human. Also, from what she's told me, you guys had a long time to bond and that also developed into a healthy relationship that still hasn't failed. Even after the time being split, you two seem to be the same couple as you were before, only older." I detail the best I can.
"You never seem to have an end to your intel, my friend." Will says amazed.
"Trial and error, Will. Trial and error." I answer, looking back to the laptop.
He walks up to me and embraces me with a tight hug, "Look, I can see that on the outside, you seem fine; but on the inside, I can almost feel some kind of trouble."
I laugh off the truth, "I'm fine, Will. Trust me."
He lets go, and glares at me, "We could've taken this the easy way, Tom."
"What do you mean?" I ask him confused.
"Do you remember the whole 'visions' thing?" he requests quietly.
"I dubbed those 'Nightvisions.'" I answer as calmly as possible.
"'Nightvisions'!? Tom, this isn't good! One way or another you're going to end up hurting somebody or yourself!" Will whispers harshly.
For effect, I lean in and whisper back, "What if that is precisely my plan?"
Will gawks at me silently for a second, "So, you want to hurt someone?"
"Yes." I answer blankly.
"We agreed that you wouldn't do something like this!" He says infuriated.
"I said that I hoped nothing like this would happen, but someone messed with me, and now they're going to pay the price." I growl back.
"You would dare hurt one of the girls?" Will asks horrified.
Everything made sense now, "No! I would never seek revenge on one of them. Although, several irrelevant scenarios don't apply."
"Stop fooling around, Tom!" Will demands.
"I'm not fooling around! Once chaos takes root, there's no escaping." I say.
Will gaped at me for what seemed forever before he said, "Just hang on." He then ran off, reentering the house swiftly.
"This is place is absolutely crazy. Oh, wait, I'm crazy too!" I burst into an insane cackle with my face to the sky while finishing up the set.
Soon, Pinkie walks out to inspect the party area. She notices my equipment and walks over, "Wow, Tom! That stuff looks really cool!"
"Thanks, Pinkie." I reply, tuning the speakers.
"Can I hear some music?" Pinkie asks, poking her head into my view.
"Sure." I say, clicking with my mouse, causing a song called "Shadows" by Jack Wall to play. A lightly thumping techno beat to come out of the speakers while Pinkie bobs her head along.
"This song will be my 'lobby' music so to say." I explain, cranking up the volume.
"I'll go get everypony else!" Pinkie calls as she races back to the house. I chuckle as I begin to cue up my next track, choosing to rather play entirely techno than music such as rap or pop.
Eventually, everyone came out and started dancing to the music I was playing. I flip several switches causing my light systems to turn on, showering me with different shades of lights. Another click allows everyone to be showered by lasers. Eventually, I began to slip into a more upbeat song, causing ponies like Twilight and Luna to come onto the dance floor.
As I'm moving along to a steady bass-line, Pinkie walks up to me, "Hey, Tom, I got this for you." She says while handing me a microphone.
"Ooh, thanks, Pinkie. I've always wanted to DJ with one of these." I reply excitedly, plugging in the wireless jack, allowing me to talk.
"Alright, everypony how're we doing tonight?" I ask, marveling as my voice booms over the group. I get a collective cheer while pushing the song towards a bass drop.
"I've heard that most of you don't know what the art of dubstep is. So, I will immerse your ears with the magic known as the 'bass drop.'" I state happily, I begin moving the Alex S. remix of "Make It Bun Dem" into a progressive ascension before the bass drop.
Just as the climax was about to initiate, I call out to the mass, "My little pony friends, welcome to Earth." Right before the bass dropped with the famous quote, "Rude boy bass, mash-up the bass!" causing a mass flurry of wubs to rain down on the audience.
At first, the ponies seemed shocked of this sudden tempo change but thankfully Rainbow Dash saves the day by screaming and dancing to the beat.
With a wild grin I push the detonator, and watch the pyrotechnics launch into the air, exploding in plumes of flame and sparkles.
A few minutes later, I notice a particular song in my library.
"To be honest, I've always wanted to play this song for my good friend Rainbow Dash. Tonight, I play you a song called '20 Percent Cooler.'" With another insane chuckle, I switch over to the song with Ken Ashcorp's voice blaring from the speakers.
This seems to get a highly energetic wave of emotion out of everyone as I begin remixing it live, adding both effects and scratching elements. Eventually, I end the song and begin playing a variety of brony songs, causing different levels of emotion depending on the song.
Soon, Will comes up to me and leans in, "You seriously bought fireworks?"
"With this much fire, I would make the Pyro proud!" I say crazily.
Will chuckles before adding, "I heard about your match with Scootaloo today."
"You were right, once you get a hold of the controls, it becomes second-nature." I explain.
"Is that right? Dare to test that against a seven-year veteran?" Will challenges, giving me a playful push.
"Soon, I must travel the path of the TF2 player first." I joke as I punch him lightly.
"So should I schedule a one-on-one match against you and Rainbow?" He asks.
"Once again, soon." I reply.
Will begins to walk away before turning back, "You still like Fluttershy, right?"
I fix him with a dull look, "Am I crazy?"
"You don't have to be."
"True, but answer the question." I retort.
"Fine. Yes, you're a psycho." Will says defeated.
"Yes, I don't just like her, I literally love her. If I can feel love that is." I state with one of my pathetic shrugs.
"I know the perfect song to play for her." Will answers matter-of-factly.
"A slow song?" I ask.
"No, I'll give you a hint: 'Avast.'" He replies with a sly smile.
This makes me happy immediately, "Yes! Windy, you're a genius!"
He shrugs, "Anyone with the right mind would play that song."
A grin and nod before pulling up the song. Soon, 'Avast Fluttershy's Ascot' is playing and everyone is jumping along to the giddy beat. As it nears the end, I notice Firework nodding his head nearby and call over the music to him.
He notices me and runs over, I smile warmly when he gets near and yell, "Hey, can you help me with the fog machine?"
"Where is it?" He asks.
"Under the table, pour this into the tank will you?" I say, handing him the bag of chloroform.
He unknowingly fills the tank and nods at me. I give him a thumbs-up and shout, "I'm going to plug it in, hold on." I pretend to push in the cord but really push the start button, causing the machine to blow a white cloud in Firework's face.
He shakes his head and wipes his face, "Sorry." I call to him.
"It's fine. Is it working correctly?" He responds.
"Yeah, thanks for your help." I say.
"No problem." He answers while standing up. I'm surprised how quickly the effects kick in as Firework immediately begins to sway.
"You okay?" I ask, standing at his side. He suddenly falls over and I catch him.
I gaze into his fluttering eyes and listen as he slurs, "W-what's h-h-happening?"
"You're tired. Really tired. Let's hope your blood doesn't rush to your head too quickly." I mutter, mostly to myself as I ease him over my shoulder.
I set up an hour-long song and walk over to Will who's watching Diana from a distance while sipping a glass of punch.
"Evening." I say calmly.
"Uh, what's wrong with Firework?" Will asks curiously, grabbing the former pegasus' head and letting it fall limp on my shoulder.
"Passed out. I'm going to go put him to bed." I say calmly.
"What about the music?" Will asks.
"I set it on a very long mix. Trust me, that thing can go for almost two hours." I answer coolly.
Will studies my face for a second, "Alright then. If you need help, just let me know." He states before taking a sip of his punch.
"Will do." I say before noticing the irony of what I just said before laughing.
I sneak the unconscious Firework inside the house before slipping out the front door and sneaking over to the barn. After stowing Firework inside, I slip back into the house and rifle through my bag looking for the materials I need. I find a large expanse of rope in the closet and pull a large hunting knife from my bag, before turning to leave.
As I open the door, I hear a noise and I turn with my knife at the ready, it's Will. "Tom, what're you doing with a knife?"
"Uh, nothing. What're you doing inside?" I ask defensively.
"I came in to get my phone. Where's Firework?" Will questions.
"Follow me, I'll show you." I say, leading Will over to the corner where I keep my bag.
"Uh, what're you doing?" I hear Will ask from behind.
"Just needed to, uh, grab something." I reply before secretly taking out the remaining chloroform and dumping it into a medical syringe I keep for injections of Prazosin.
"Wait, is that a-" Will starts before I turn on him and stick the needle in his neck. He tries to break away before his arms grow more and more sluggish the more he struggles.
His eyes begin to drop before he manages, "W-Why?"
"Don't worry, just getting some revenge. I won't hurt anyone, trust me. Everything will be fine, just pretend it's a dream." I murmur before I realize Will is already passed out.
"That was, er, strange. Almost felt emotion." I say to myself before laying Will on the couch and walking out to the barn while carrying the rope and twirling the knife.
I sit waiting in the dim lantern light of Will's barn, waiting for Firework to wake up. I've been practicing my lines for when he wakes up. Just as I told Will before, I promised not to hurt Firework in any way, just scare him for some respect. So, I've memorized my favorite quote from the game Far Cry 3 in order to give a rather frightening experience. Finally, I hear Firework groan as he begins to wake, so I go to sit next to him, using my personal whetstone to sharpen the knife menacingly.
I watch as his eyes slowly open, dreary from his involuntary slumber. The first thing he sees is me sharpening my knife, "Evening." I say, flashing a crazy grin.
"W-What've you done to me?" He mutters as he tries to move but finds the ropes I tied him with folding firmly.
"Oh you know, just a little present from your good pal." I answer, moving closer to him, turning the knife so the light reflects off the blade.
"Why in Celestia's name are you doin' this?" He begs, pulling on his binds.
"The human's cousin wants to repay the favor of you almost turning him into a killing machine." I snarl viciously, pressing the blade to Firework's exposed throat.
"Y-You h-heard that?" He whispers fearfully, wriggling against the ropes.
"Yes, but don't worry, I won't hurt you in any way. I just want to make a few rules clear." I explain, pulling the knife away before getting up and pacing around.
"What rules?" He asks.
"Rule one: You will refer to me as 'Tom.' Not 'human', and especially not 'human's cousin.' Got it?" I instruct, leaning in threateningly.
Once he gives a quick nod, I back away and continue, "Rule two: You will never sabotage my medication again. If you do so, I will do everything in my power," I state, leaning in again, "To focus that insane rage on you. Understand?" Another frantic nod.
"The last and final rule is: If you ever speak of this to anyone, I will personally make sure you are dealt with accordingly." I growl.
"You're a joke." Firework suddenly spits out, sneering at me.
"Is that so?" I ask curiously.
"W-Well yeah. You act all mighty, but I can probably put you in your place." He retorts.
This is so surprising I literally begin to laugh, "Are you serious!? Look at the position you're in!"
"I can g-get out." Firework replies, struggling against the ropes again.
"You're stuttering, that's Rule 27 in my unofficial 'Guidelines To Know That You're Weak.' Never stutter, it shows fear." I say simply.
"Just listen to yourself! Now you're talkin' about 'Guides' and such. You really are crazy." Firework says exasperated.
"I prefer 'insane', thank you very much." I reply, smiling so that I can piss off Firework even more.
"See! This is what I'm talkin' about. You turn everything you hear into some kind of joke."
"Oh? Did you know that I used to take insults to heart? Even when the people saying them didn't mean it? Oh, I can tell you the stories of how freaking crazy I've gotten since high school." I explain.
"I can see that." Firework responds drearily.
I decide now is the perfect time for the quote, "Did I ever tell you what the definition of insanity is? Insanity is doing the exact, same fucking thing, over and over again expecting, shit to change. That. Is. Crazy. The first time somebody told me that, I dunno, I thought they were bullshitting me, so, I stabbed him. The thing is. He was right, and then I started seeing, everywhere I looked, everywhere I looked all these fucking pricks, everywhere I looked, doing the exact same fucking thing, over and over and over and over again thinking, 'this time is gonna be different' No, no, no please, this time is gonna be different, I'm sorry, I don't like, the way." I suddenly stab the pole Firework is tied to, just barely millimeters from his head.
I could hear Firework's breath suddenly quicken as the knife slammed into the wood, "You are looking at me. Okay, Do you have a fucking problem in your head, do you think I am bullshitting you, do you think I am lying? Fuck you, okay? Fuck you! It's okay, man. I'm gonna chill, bro. I'm gonna chill. The thing is. Alright, the thing is I killed you once already, and it's not like I am fucking crazy. It's okay, it's like water under the bridge. Did I ever tell you the definition... of insanity?"
Firework was so visibly scared, I could hear the blood rushing through his neck, "Oh, shit. My head, it hurts! Fuck, I think I just forced myself into hunger. This is not good." I think as I desperately try to stand back from Firework.
"Okay, okay, I'm sorry! Just l-let me go!" Firework pleads.
I manage to stumble over to him, grasping the knife with shaking hands while I attempt to pry the knife from the pole. Thankfully, I succeed, witnessing as the blade pops free from the wood. I begin to haphazardly cut Firework free before dropping to the ground while clutching my head as a throbbing headache kicks in.
"You. Need. To get out." I gasp as I try to shake off the pain.
After Firework manages to fully cut himself free, he runs to the door of the barn. Just as he is about to leave, I call to him, "H-Help me, please." Firework stops momentarily, glancing back nervously before running out, leaving me here.
"Bastard." I whisper as my vision begins to darken, "Fuck, this is not how I was thinking this would end." I gasp just before I pass out completely, leaving the demon in my place.
-Will POV-
I awoke to the blurry sight of Twilight.
"Will, are you okay?" I heard her asking me as she shook me into conciousness. I shot up, my vision becoming normal with it. I reached over to my neck and pulled out the syringe. I rolled it in my hand, staring at the liquid inside.
"Chloroform. Gee, cuz, thanks for that one," I mutter to myself while rubbing my neck.
"Will, what happened?" I hear Twilight ask again at my side. I look to her.
"My own cousin injected chloroform into me. I passed out due to that."
As I finished up my sentence, Firework comes running in, with Luna tailing him.
"Will, Twilight! We have a problem!" he said between breaths.
"What is it?" we both question him.
"It's Tom," Luna says, resting a hand on Firework's shoulder, "According to Firework here, Tom is locked in the barn, about to have another nightvision.
"God dammit!" I yell.
"He was threatenin' me for Celestia knows what!" Fireworks said.
"Well, that you deserve," Twilight said, helping me onto my feet.
"What?" Firework and I ask.
"Rainbow told me about the medicine-jelly bean 'prank' you pulled," she noted to him as I gained my balance. Both I and Luna dawned in realization. We glared at him.
"What?" he asked. As he looked at Luna, she slapped him, and when he turned to me, I punched him. Fire dropped right there. I cracked the knuckles on the hand I punched him with and grunted something to myself.
"Either way, Luna, Twi, go outside and distract Tom while I go get something that could help us." I stepped out onto the patio while they ran downstairs. I pet Grace and she rubbed her head against mine. She's quite friendly now. Her wing has healed too. I looked down at the others. I panicked as I noticed what Firework had boarded the barn up with: A simple 2*4. I mentally facepalmed. Looking out upon the back yard, I noticed the Cutie Mark Crusaders. I quickly reacted.
"Big Macintosh, get the girl's inside! Everyone else, into the laundry room, find a good place to hide. We've got trouble!"
"What's going on!?" I heard Heart call.
"Tom is having another vision!" I yelled.
Everyone, but Diana, quickly ran inside, Heart faster than the rest unsurprisingly, considering her reaction with the last one.
"Diana, you have to go inside!" I heard Twilight tell her.
"What's wrong?" she asked.
"Just trust us, this is bad!" I yelled.
I noticed that the 2*4 on the barn door broke. The door was creaking open.
"Diana, RUN!" I yelled.
Too late. The demonized Tom was already in full sprint. I watched in horror as Twi, the Princess, and my girlfriend were all either slammed straight into or clotheslined by his outstretched arms.
"Damn." I ran inside and quickly downstairs, into the back room where Tom's turntable from this morning was. I went into the corner and got into the gun rack. Behind Bayonetta was a custom-made weapon of my own, modified by your's truly to actually be fired.
'Windy's Piss Rifle,' a.k.a. The Sydney Sleeper.
I ran outside with the rifle and the first thing I saw was Twilight's magical attacks towards Tom being thrown to the side. A tree near the woods collapsed. I brought up the Rifle's scope, and aimed straight at Tom's neck.

Fuck! I forgot to load in the ammo. The chloroform syringe from earlier. It was still about half-full from it being used on me. I quickly loaded it. When I looked back, Twilight was hit in the chest by her own blast of magic. I noticed a certain figure on the ground.
Diana!
Tom picked her up, and tossed her over his shoulder. He looked to her and sniffed. I noticed her move. Her head rose to me, then to Tom. She must have noticed the certain gaze in his eyes.
"Will, help me!" she screamed.
What happened next is a mystery, even to me. When I heard Diana call out in distress to me, I was overcome by some force. I growled in rage and my entire vision was enshrouded by some silver force. I looked to my hand, it glowed of silver fire.
Silver. Fire.
Tom noticed my current state and his eyes widened. I dropped the chloroform loaded rifle, and started moving towards Tom.
