Inside the TARDIS is a strange device, a mirror that shows those who look into it what could be and what can never be. What would any of the characters see, and what would they tell others they saw? NOTE: I haven't updated this fic in ages, so I'm marking it as complete and finally moving on.

This is a one-shot series about what different Who characters deepest desires would be if they looked into the Mirror of Erised, and what they would tell other people it is.

This is NOT a crossover.

Madame Vastra

After meeting the Doctor: Vastra sees her own kind restored to glory, and mourns that she is alone in a strange time.

After meeting Jenny: Vastra sees the small ape smiling at her in a rather disarming way, and is surprised. She didn't think she could think of a human that way.

After Trenzalore: Vastra sees Jenny alive and well, and shudders to think that she died.

She tells Jenny that she sees a shadowy, cloaked figure for her to pursue and devour. Jenny takes it all in her stride and offers to ask Scotland Yard if they have any unsolved crimes.
