Chapter 26

Angry Ghosts and Scrolls

As you all may have been wondering, how the hell did we get that giant ass turtle back to the hideout? Simple, a giant scroll… Sort of like the one Tenten carries. It was big, and green. It was pretty entertaining to see Deidara and Tobi seal the Tailed Beast inside it.

"Do you think they're struggling?" I had asked Sasori

"Why should I care?" He'd answered bluntly. I thought for a second

"Because you just came back and have a new respect for your partner Deidara and how he has to put up with Tobi." I'd hinted

"No." He stated.

"Only in fandom… Only in fandom…" I muttered, pulling my hair back(I had no ponytail, I just do that to maintain it for a short while). The humidity was starting to catch up with my beautiful brown locks (Note sarcasm). They finally sealed it and we had begun our long journey back 'home'.

Of course this was about a couple of days ago. I won't fill you in the details of our boring trudge 'home', only the small outbreaks between Deidara and me, also there were Tobi's occasional outbreaks that kept me distracted. Now we were walking along in a small village. Why? Tobi had seen a puppy run across our path and thought it was 'extremely necessary' to follow it. The dog had led us to this village, where we were still following it among the crowded streets.

"Tobi, ditch the mutt and let's get out of here." Deidara muttered. I snickered, putting my hands behind my back and closing my eyes, smelling the air

"Isn't it wonderful? The smell of sweat and terrible foo mixed together?" I asked cheerfully

"You're gross." He grumbled

"I'm a girl, it's not possible for me to be gross." I reminded

"Many people think THIS is gross," Deidara said, sticking out his hand, its tongue flickered out for a second, "And I'm basically a girl now."

"That doesn't count because you had them BEFORE you were a girl dumbass." I mumbled. He didn't listen to me, going to whack Tobi upside the head and complaining that he wanted to leave. I cursed under my breath and closed my eyes once more. I walked forward, the voice of Deidara screaming leading me in he right direction. I opened my eyes suddenly as I felt someone collide into me. I fell to the ground and saw an old woman fall too, but she got up hurriedly and ran off. I blinked for a second, then, something caught my eye. A small scroll had fallen from the woman's pocket onto the ground. I grabbed it and turned back to the direction where she had run off

"HEY! YOU DROPPED SOMETHING!" I called out, no one answered. I sighed and turned back around. I nearly deflated to see that my 'team' was still walking away. I ran to catch up to them, stowing the scroll into my pocket secretly.

"You guys could have waited for me!" I fired at them

"Why did you stop?" Sasori asked me.

"I ran into a lady." I muttered

"Why?"

"My eyes were closed."

"Why?"

"Shut up…" I mumbled, walking forward a bit. I jumped when I heard an explosion in front of us. I saw a triumphant Deidara and a most likely horrified Tobi staring at smoke, where the remains of a dog lay.

"SEMPAI WHY DID YOU HURT THE DOGGY?" Tobi screamed.

"Art is a BANG. That mutt was lucky to be apart of it." Deidara stated

"Deidara, did you blow up that DOG?" I asked the grinning pyromaniac

"Yeah, so?"

"My god P.E.T.A would hate you…" I mumbled

"P.E.T.A?" Deidara asked. I was about to tell him what P.E.T.A was before Tobi screamed out

"The villagers look angry Deidara-Sempai…" This got our attention. I turned to see some wide-eyed villagers, probably staring at Deidaras 'Art'; others were slowly rounding on us. Nevertheless these people were animal lovers…

"Idiots." I heard Sasori mutter.

"So what now?" I asked

"Tobi is scared…"

"BLOW EM ALL UP!"

"Useless." I scowled. I then grabbed Deidara, and Sasori's hands.

"EVERYONE RUN!" I screamed. It was terrible to be one sided on this opinion… Luckily Tobi must have been with me because he ran besides me, helping to push Deidara along because he thought it more important to 'kill them all' instead of living. And I'd just hate it for his death to be surrounded by angry P.E.T.A villagers then his real one in the anime (Which was more heroic, though Sasuke lived).

After running away form the villagers (The two had to decided to run on their own because I was too slow dragging them along) we finally found an alley and ducked into it. I watched, nearly laughing, as the villagers ran past the alley. This was just like T.V.

"Wow, way to go in filling your Akatsuki role by drawing attention to yourselves." I muttered

"THE DOG HAD TO DIE UHN!" Deidara protested

"HOW COME?" I screamed

"If it had lived we'd have to stay in this damn village LONGER!" He threw out. At this we all turned our heads to Tobi

"Tobi is a good boy?" Tobi said shakily.

"Why can't you do anything right?" I questioned irritably

"Tobi isn't perfect…" Tobi mumbled

"If only…" Deidara muttered

"Deidara, Tobi, you go see if the villagers are there." I ordered

"Why should we follow YOUR orders uhn?" Deidara asked

"Because if you don't we'll never get out of here." I stated

"So?"

"With Tobi." I reminded

"I'll just kill him."

"Deidara-Sempai let's go!" Tobi cheered, and dragged Deidara with him to look for the villagers. I smirked at Deidaras torture. I decided to inspect the scroll the lady had dropped. I pulled it out and took a closer look. It was purple, with white paper wrapped around the middle.

"What's that?" Sasori asked. I jumped; I had nearly forgot he was there

"Something a lady dropped." I mumbled

"And you stole it?"

"Does this organization really care?" I retorted

"Why does it have your name on it?" Sasori asked, pointing to the side of the white portion. I looked at it, and sure enough, I saw in neat, small letters, the word 'Megan' written across the side.

"What the hell…" I muttered. I decided to unfurl it.

"A summoning scroll?" I asked myself as I saw the patterns swirled about the page.

"The villagers are gone so we can go no uhn." I heard Deidara say from the end of the alley. I quickly rolled back up the scroll and put it in my pocket once more.

We walked from the village and back into the woods. Tobi had started up crying about the 'poor doggy' and how it met its end at the hands of his precious sempai at least. It made me want to gag at how emotional he was being over a simple Perceptive Creature. Finally I'd had enough.

"Tobi." I said

"Yes Megan-Sama?" Tobi asked. I shuddered at the title.

"The doggies ghost is annoyed." I muttered

"THE DOGGY HAS A GHOST?" Tobi screamed excitedly. He was pushing the act a bit too far

"And it is angry and annoyed" I reminded

"Why?" Tobi sniffed

"It wants to haunt you." I said

"WHY?" Tobi screamed in terror

"It's after you." I stated. I didn't answer the 'why' questions because I didn't know why a ghost hound would waste its time haunting Tobi of all people.

"BUT THE DOGGY LOVED TOBI!" Tobi screamed

"No, it was secretly leading you to your death, and Deidara-Sempai stopped it." I snickered. Deidara shot me a fiery glare.

"SEMPAAAAI!" Tobi cheered, enveloping Deidara in a Death Hug.

"But now since it was killed the doggy wants vengeance, so it's out for you Tobi." I said. This caused Tobi to scream loudly and run in circles, and then he ran ahead, flinging his arms around maniacally

"THE DOGGY GHOST IS GOING TO KILL TOBI!" He screamed, his voice died down into the distance. Then,

BAM

I heard the sound of mask on wood and snickered.

"Tobi ran into a tree." I herd him mutter somewhere in front of us.

"How many times now uhn?" Deidara asked me. I counted on my fingers

"Five, he's ran into a tree five times now." I stated. Deidara rolled his eyes.

"And to think he's Akatsuki." He muttered. None of us ran up to see if Tobi was okay, but rather kept walking at our own pace. A minute later we reached him. Tobi was lying on the ground, fast asleep and mumbling about the 'ghost doggy' and how he's sorry.

"How cute…" I cooed

"You're joking right?" Deidara asked

"Yeah… How are we going to wake him up?" I asked the two. Sasori didn't answer and Deidara pulled out a hunk of clay.

"Deidara, you've already killing something in the last minute or so." I muttered. I decided to pull out my pan, still ridged and deadly. And I whacked Tobi upside the head with it. He immediately shot up and grabbed Deidara by the throat, hoisting him into the air. The sound Deidara made was sort of like the cross of a constipated grandpa, and a little girl's scream. Then Tobi seemed to regain himself and dropped Deidara to the ground

"TOBI IS SORRY FOR HURTING POOR DEIDARA-SEMPAI!" Tobi screamed at Deidaras crumpled figure on the ground. Sasori and I snickered.

"Get up lazy ass, the hideouts not that far away." I muttered after regained myself. I kicked Deidaras side.

"T-Tobi…" He snarled, his tone seemed deadly. I stepped to the side, and Deidara sprung up and waved a huge chunk of clay in front of Tobis face threateningly. Tobi then screamed and ran full speed for the hideout, Deidara on his tail. I blinked

"What the hell jus happened?" I asked Sasori

"Get used to it, you're probably going to be seeing this everyday." He advised. I sighed and started walked back to the hideout, him following.

When we came to the entrance I saw some burn marks around the edge Deidara was chasing Tobi left to right, small explosions going off once in a while. I stared for a minute before whispering to Sasori

"Do you think Rei and Hailey know of the scroll?" I asked

"Why are you asking me this?" He grumbled. I shrugged

"You're coming with me to our room." I declared

"Why exactly?"

"You know of the scroll, no one else on our 'team' does, and I think Rei and Hailey know something about it!" I stated

"Why should I come with you?" He repeated

"We need someone from the organization to watch over us, this IS a summoning scroll after all right?" I reminded. He didn't answer. I took that as a yes and I dragged him off to Hailey, Rei and my room. Before I opened the door it was cracked I peered in and froze, twitching.

"Sasori, you have to see this." I muttered

"I'd rather not." He answered, but I shoved him in front of the cracked door. He seemed to have a difficult time taking in the scene in front of him. I moved him and opened the door fully.

"Sorry to interrupt your guys little 'jumping party' but I have some urgent news." I stated at Hailey and Rei. They froze, a song in the background still playing. Then Rei threw a pillow at me

"MEGAN YOU ASSHOLE! YOU SCARED ME NEARLY TO DEATH!" She screamed, plopping down on the bed she had been jumping on the moment before. Hailey did the same. I eyed Haileys pocket where a small green scroll was poking out of it.

"Good, I see Hailey has one…" I began

"Oh an iPhone?" Rei asked, holding up a black rectangular thing. I stared at it

"HOLY FUDGING COW NICKELS! YOU BROUGHT AN IPOD HAILEY?" I nearly yelled

"Yeah…. I just found out when you guys left…" Hailey admitted, smiling at me, nearly sneering

"Why is he here?" Rei asked, pointing to Sasori

"Oh yeah, I didn't mean the iPhone, I meant a scroll." I said, pulling mine from my pocket. Rei and Hailey stared at it for a second

"I HAVE ONE TOO!" Rei screamed, pulling a red colored one from her kunai pouch. Hailey and I stared at it.

"That's weird… but it doesn't explain why you brought Sasori here.." Hailey muttered

"Well he saw the scroll and all so I decided he should be present when we talk about it." I said triumphantly.

"Fine.." Rei said, shrugging. I sat down on the bed next to Rei and Sasori lay against the wall, surveying us. Hailey turned off the music from her iPhone

"So what does yours say on it?" I asked Rei.

"Well, my name." She answered

MINE TOO!" Hailey screamed out. We both stared at her

"I figured as much." I pondered

"No you didn't Megan." Rei muttered. I whacked her upside the head

"DON'T RUIN MY MOMENT!" I screamed

"Fine fine" She mumbled

"So what does this mean?" Hailey asked. I blinked

"You know, I never thought that through." I admitted. We were slowly messing up this world now weren't we?

Note: YUSSSSHHHH! ANOTHER CHAPTER DONE IN ONE SITTING! So yeah… I did this….

All the girls gather together to discuss the mysterious scrolls! WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT?

This week I have who Hailey should end up with, it will be up for a week.

After a week I'll look at the results and take it down, putting Rei up.

After THAT week I'll see the results and put Megans up!
