Aro smiled gently as he viewed the courtyard below his office, the world seeming to stand still as he watched the woman below, long golden tresses fluttering as she spoke to the young vampire she had taken under her wing, laughter passing between the two occasionally as he cherished the smile upon her own lips.

Whilst it was true that Felicity had brought about many changes within young Bree, the same could be said vice-versa. His love's smile was filled with more affection now as her heart opened to those around her and she built a small network of friends for herself, her eyes held a fresh sense of joy within that made them shine more vividly. Everything about her now sang of life and vibrancy. It was truly wonderful, though his jealous mind would often wish to squirrel her away from the world for only he and his brothers to behold.

How often had he stared from this very window over the years? How often had he watched her as she grew up and felt his own love for life blossom anew? From the days of her childhood as she ran through the courtyard, followed by Felix and Demetri as they tried in vain to tame the girl who wanted nothing more than to laugh and play, whilst Jane and Alec, encouraged by her exuberance, encouraged her to enjoy childhood like they had never been able too.

To the hormonal madness of her teen years that he prayed her would never have to relive as she stormed through the courtyard, jacket hood pulled firmly over her head as seethed at the smallest of occurrences, seeking out the next poor victim for her adolescent temper before retreating to the sanctuary that only Marcus seemed able to give in those chaotic years.

And, finally, to the beautiful young woman that he and his brothers loved beyond words could ever express. The brightest of lights in their once darkened days. She had changed greatly over the years and, other than his actions that had nearly cost both he and his brothers her love forever, he would not have changed a thing. It had all lead to this, to the wonderful life they now shared and would continue to share if fortune remained in their favour.

"It is hard to believe that she will soon be twenty-six… Time truly has flown. I still cherish the pictures she drew as a child"

Aro tore his eyes from the window reluctantly, registering the look within Marcus' eyes and the blissful smile that graced his lips. Did Felicity even know how much she had changed them also? How Caius no longer lost his temper so easily? How Marcus no longer seemed haunted by the ghosts of his past? How Aro himself no longer felt the need to treat others like puppets?

"And we have yet so much to look forward too with her by our side… Eternity no longer feels so empty knowing that it will not be spent without her. Are we all agreed on the date of her turning?"

Aro nodded as Caius watched him expectantly from the sofa across the room, choosing to turn back to the window just in time to see Roxanne join Felicity and Bree, the three seeming to shut out the world in favour of their blossoming friendships.

"Yes, Felicity has agreed also to the decision to hold her turning in one month, the days after her birthday. I believe that she is nervous but I have every faith in her"

A single month he thought wistfully, such a fleeting amount of time in the life of a vampire and yet it felt like time itself had chosen to stand still as it teased the three kings with the most tantalizing of truths. Felicity would enter into immortality and stand by their side till the end of days.

"How is your training going, Bree? I hope you are giving Demetri a run for his money"

Felicity's voice was filled with mirth as Bree gave a shy smile, the pair sharing a knowing glance as Bree tried to cover her bashfulness.

"It's beginning to go much better. I'm keeping up with him now… He's being very good to me"

"I would hope so. A soul mate is a rare thing in any lifetime, he should cherish every moment you have together"

If Bree could have blushed, she would have at the thought of having a soul mate. She'd been alone for so long that it still felt like a dream sometimes. She had a family again, friends who made her smile and a man who loved her for all that she was.

"Is that how you feel about the three kings?"

"Of course I do. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't always like this. I thought for so long that, because they raised me, I could never love them in the way that I do, that it was wrong. I fought against my heart so violently that it caused us a lot of problems. We all made mistakes and I must have cried enough to fill an ocean, but it worked out in the end. I couldn't be happier"

As she spoke, Felicity looked up towards the window of Aro's office, seeing the man himself stood there with his back towards the world, seeming deep within his own conversation. Bree could all but feel the love radiating from the young woman as she spoke, choosing not to press further into detail for the troubles that the three kings and their mate had suffered on their long journey for love. She was just glad that she could witness the fruits of their efforts now.

"Felicity?"

The pair turned towards the entrance of the courtyard as Roxanne made her way towards them with a sheepish smile upon her lips, Felix following behind as he fidgeted with his hands. It was quite sweet really to see the pair together, to witness the relationship that bloomed between them both, Felicity could only smile as she focused on her red headed friend.

"Roxanne, I thought you would be spending your day out of the castle with Felix. It is your day off after all and we have nothing to prepare the staff for until the arrival of Eleazar next week"

Bree stifled her giggle as she sensed the teasing within Felicity's voice, Roxanne blushing brighter as she cleared her throat and attempted to keep the nerves out of her voice.

"Well that's kind of what I wanted to speak to you about… We were wondering if we could borrow the Morgan plus 4? We just wanted to go for a drive out into town and the weather is gorgeous today so…."

"Stop rambling Roxanne, it doesn't suit you. Of course you can use it. Who am I to hold back young love and what use is a beautiful car if it's never driven? The keys are in my office, feel free"

Roxanne could only give a shriek of joy as she shouted her thanks and ran back to Felix, the vampire catching her around the waist before vanishing from view, the brief glimpse of his smile making both Felicity and Bree shake their heads with a grin of their own.

"It's good to see them finally acting upon their fee…."

The fair haired woman's words cut short on her lips as the world around her began to flicker, her eyes beginning to cloud as she accepted the vision she felt coming. Why was this happening now? She hadn't had a sudden vision like this in a long time, why had her control slipped so suddenly?

*Vision*

Flames licked high within the garage, the screams of both Roxanne and Felix filling her ears as she, along with Bree and the three kings struggled against the inferno that prevented them from reaching the pair caught within.

"Roxanne! Felix!"

Felicity tried to reach them, her hand seared by the flames as she was pulled back by Caius, Marcus shaking his head in despair as she continued to call the names of her friends. How had this happened? How had such a lovely day gone so disastrously wrong?

*End Vision*

The nausea grew within her stomach and the vision ended, felicity Moving without truly thinking as she called out to a confused Bree.

"We need to stop them! Before my vision can come true"

Bree didn't even question as she picked Felicity up with Ease and used all her speed to reach the Garage. Felicity could only feel panic as they ran, none of her visions were set in stone, all paths could be altered if the right decision was made. She only hoped that they could reach the pair in time before the terrible vision could become reality.
