SORRY I MISSED LAST WEEKS UPDATE ;( A very special thank you to all the kind readers that PM'd me giving me hope and a good laugh. I would have answer but unfortunately due to stress and not eating properly I landed in hospital. I'm out now, eating bananas for a potassium deficiency. This is a small chapter but it lets me get back into writing. Thank you all :)
Chapter 26
"Can vampires faint" Bella said, surprised that the big vampire was now sprawled out across the floor.
"Seem so" Jasper laughed as Kendrix rushed in to find his future grandson in law passed out cold on the cold hospital floor.
"Well that went well?" Bella laughed as Edith peered over the bottom of the hospital bed.
"Is he all right?" Bella said looking down at the motionless vampire.
"We'll just remove him and take him home" Jasper said shaking his head in disbelief that Garrett the big bad vampire could have fainted.
"I'll help" Peter sniggered while winking at his wife.
Bella and the family watched in surprise as Jasper and Peter dragged Garret's lifeless body out of the hospital room and straight back to the family house.
"What the hell was that about?" Edith said confused as Connor jumped onto the bed for a cuddle.
"Don't know, but I'll be sure to ask Jasper when I see him" Bella said with a shrug of her tired shoulders.
"Ok everyone, Edith and the bairns need their rest. Kendrix could you please stay the night in the hospital with Edith?" Heather asked as she looked lovingly at her ill niece.
"Aye. A'll make sure she gets plenty o' rest" Kendrix said smiling down at his tired granddaughter as he turned and waved his family goodbye.
Jasper pushed at the strong wooden door to Bellas' home, opening the door slowly. "Bring him in Peter" Jasper said as Peter pulled the still unconscious Garret through the door.
"I can't believe he passed out" Peter laughed "Any ideas on how to wake him?"
"Lets just let the shock wear off by itself. He'll never live this down, it was way too funny when his ass hit the deck" Jasper laughed out loud. "Lets put him in the spare bedroom next to Edith's, Peter"

"Ok I'll ask again Granda, what the feck was that about?" Edith said as she grabbed her glass of water, still confused as to why the big hansom vampire fainted.
"Oh I think you know lass, yer no a bairn" he said arching his eyebrow.
"Why don't you explain it Granda, I think a've had enough stress for one day" Edith stared up at Kendrix.
"The big vampire, Garrett" Edith nodded as Kendrix continued "Well it seems he's yer mate" Kendrix said with a gentle smile.
"What!" Edith screeched not believing this crap.
"You heard just fine lass" Kendrix patted her hand soothingly.
"I can't Granda, I can't deal with any more. I've left my home, my country, and moved across the pond. Now I'm having twa barins, I just can deal with any more" she sobbed as tears started to fall down her pale cheeks.
"Dinnay worry lass, Garrett's not going anywhere. He'll be here ta help you with the barins. He seems a good man Edith. You know he can't leave you now, it would hurt him too much….Just think about it. I know that married American airman broke yer wee heart but you'll get stronger and heal, you've got yer family who love ye" Kendrix leaned over and gave her a hug as Edith continued to cry.
"Get some sleep lass. You'll feel better tomorrow." Kendrix said making sure she lay down on the comfortable hospital bed.

Garrett shot up out of the bed like a torpedo 'what the fuck just happened' he thought terrified looking around for any signs of danger. 'Vampires don't just pass out! Maybe I was dying or god forbid having a vampire mid-life crisis.' He smirked'. 'Yip I'm losing it' he said to himself looking around the brightly coloured bedroom.
He heard the gentle knock at the door before it swung open and in strolled Eric McLeod.
"How are ye, Garret?... Had a wee shock and I see it knocked ye fer six" Eric said taking a seat on the queen size bed.
Garrett nodded "It wasn't a dream then?"
"Nope….. You're definitely mated to the bonnie Edith and she's pregnant with twins" Eric said with a huge smile at the strange situation.
"Now are you going ta make a habit of fainting 'daddy'?... Ma good wife Heather can take a wee look at you if you still feel strange" Eric said with raised eyebrow.
"I'm fine, just stunned. Do you think Edith likes me?" Garrett whispered.
"She doesn't know you, although she did get to see yer nice brown boots though." Eric laughed at the distraught looking Garrett.
"I'm a fucking clown. She won't want a fainting vampire, its unheard of" Garrett said covering his face with both hands and shaking his head in disgust.
"At least ye gave us all a good laugh. It's always good to entertain the troops" Eric said standing up and stretching.
"Let's go son. Everyone's downstairs and wanting to talk and make sure you're ok" Eric said placing his big cold hand on Garrett shoulder as he guided the shamefaced vampire out of the bedroom and down to the sitting room.
Everyone turned to see the defeated vampire walking slowly down the stairs. Everyone was there except Kendrix and Garrett was mortified.
"How are you feeling now?" Jasper said walking over to his upset friend, he grabbed him by his shoulder. "That was funny as hell, Garrett. You went down like a lead balloon" he laughed.
"I'm fine, thanks for your concern" Garrett said sarcastically pulling away from his friend.
"Garrett its ok, we can't believe it either….Your gonna be a daddy" Jasper said with a huge smile lighting up his face.
"Yes….yes I am. Oh God how am I going to be the man she needs?" Garrett sighed as his shoulders dropped in defeat.
Bella walked over to stand beside Jasper "Listen, Edith needs a strong man, give yourself a shake. So you fainted! build a bridge and get over it. You need to get to know her. She my best friend, she's a wonderful, strong and funny woman and I really think she'll like you." Bella said patting his arm as Jasper started to growl.
"Jasper, please…" Bella said to her fiancée.
"Look, talk it out with the family we can all help" Heather said smiling kindly.
"Ok, take a seat" Heather said pointing to the huge leather sofa.
They all sat down except Bella and Jasper. "Listen guys, I need to get Connor to bed, come on darling" Bella said picking Connor up and placing him on her hip as she gave him a cuddle. "You've had a long day honey. We'll see Auntie Edie tomorrow." she said, slowly walking up the stairs "Say night, night to everyone Connor"
"Night, night. See ya all tomorrow" Connor said blowing kisses to everyone.
"Night Connor" the family shouted and waved.
Following slowly up the stairs, Jasper put his arm around Bella's waist. "C'mon ma lil darlin" Jasper said smiling.
Bella and Jasper both put an excited but tired Connor to bed, he jumped up and down on his new Minion bed animated that everyone was home.
Closing the door of their sons room Jasper picked Bella up bridal style and rushed her into their bedroom.
"I need you darlin…..need you now. I can stand that you touched Garrett" Jasper said throwing her down on the huge bed. Bella bounced twice giggling; looking up at her love she smiled shyly. "Well why don't you come over here and make sure none of his scent is left" She laughed as she heard a sexy growl, then he was on the bed on top of her, kissing her like his undead life depended on it. She felt his love as he pushed more lust at her. Moaning she tried to keep quiet but it was futile as they made intense, hot love all through the night.
