"If you connect the ventril sublimator to this feed, you can cut acceleration time--"
"I know that, sugar. But it's less maneuverability and in a tight spot--"
"What are you doing down there?"
Kneeling together in the shadows beneath Ship, AndrAIa and Mouse started.
Mouse exhaled. "You've got to stop sneaking up on me, Dot."
"We're updating Ship," AndrAIa said, as Dot mouthed apologies. "You could pitch in, if you'd like."
"It's not really my thing," Dot hedged.
"Nonsense, darling. We could use you."
"Well..."
"A little girl time never hurt," said Mouse.
"It'll be fun!" said AndrAIa.
"Fine," said Dot.
