New chapter! Hope you enjoy :-)
"I'm not sure about this hairstyle, does the pink make me look really childish?" Quinn asked, looking through the bathroom mirror.
Brittany and Quinn were currently in the school toilets fixing their hair and makeup. Well, Quinn was fixing her hair and makeup whilst Brittany sat on the sink pretending to care. It had been a week since her and Santana returned from their trip to Lake Monto and as expected, everything was back to normal. Not being able to hold Santana's hand sucked. Not being able to tell anyone about their relationship also sucked. If only they could go back, Brittany kept thinking to herself.
"It's fine, Quinn." Brittany replied without even glancing at her friend.
"But does it make me look like a little girl?"
"What the fuck?" Brittany said. It was conversations like this that she absolutely hated.
"I want to look fuckable but I also want people to know that even know I'm completely badass and undoubtedly hot, I'm a girl but not a really young girl cause then no fucker would touch me, you know?" Quinn ranted. She took some mascara out of her makeup bag and began applying it.
"No...I don't know." Brittany rolled her eyes. "Look Quinn, you're hot no matter what you look like. Half the school would fuck you, stop worrying."
"Would you fuck me?" Quinn raised an eyebrow. Brittany shifted uncomfortably due to the comment.
"Erm..." She jumped off the sink and moved herself further away from Quinn. "I've a-already fucked you." She stuttered.
"Yeah but would you fuck me again?" Quinn asked.
"No." Brittany said bluntly. She didn't even need to think about it, she loved Santana and there's no way she would ever cheat on her girlfriend with anyone, especially Quinn. Brittany thought back to the days when her and Quinn would hook up. Yeah the sex was good but would she ever go back? Not a chance. It was thinking about this that made Brittany realize Santana didn't know about her and Quinn's past. She shook her head at that thought, it was in the past and Santana didn't need to ever find out about it.
"What? Why not?" Quinn shouted, feeling offended.
"You're too good for me." Brittany lied. Of course Quinn wasn't too good for her. She needed to say something though and she definitely wasn't going to mention that she had a girlfriend. Not yet anyways.
"What's going on?" Quinn asked suspiciously.
"Nothings going on." Brittany laughed.
"Somethings going on." Quinn moved closer to Brittany who stood dead on the spot. "You would never say something like that without a reason. Spill. Now." Quinn demanded.
Brittany shook her head. "Stop being ridiculous. Just take it as a compliment and move on."
"Nope." Quinn said.
Brittany opened the bathroom door and walked out. "I'm going to class, are you coming?"
"Not until you tell me what's going on." Quinn crossed her arms against her chest.
Brittany rolled her eyes. "Fine, stay here all day." Brittany stormed away from the bathroom and towards her next class.
When lunchtime came, Brittany was lying down on a bench in the courtyard enjoying the sun when Rachel sat beside her on the bench with a book in her hand. The yard was packed with people today, the sun was scorching hot and Brittany was glad she ditched her leather clothes and replaced them with a tank top and shorts, otherwise she was pretty sure the heat would have killed her.
"It's nationals this weekend, it's still not too late to come you know." Rachel said, turning the page of her book.
Brittany sat up on the bench and took off her sun glasses to get a good look at Rachel. "For the last time, no!" The blonde replied.
Ever since Brittany and Santana returned from their trip, Rachel had been on Brittany's back trying to get her to go with them to New York. Even though they won regionals without her, Brittany was a much needed team mate whom they needed in order to win. She was the best dancer in glee club who could make even the hardest routines look easy. Her singing was great too, which was a bonus. Rachel usually got what she wanted but it was clear this time she wouldn't, the brunette sighed in defeat.
"Can you at least think about it?" Rachel asked.
"Nope. I'm not going, Rach. Besides, I can't go anyways." Brittany lay back down on the bench and placed the sunglasses back on her eyes.
"Why?"
"Because I'm working on Saturday." She said truthfully. "And I don't wanna go. Stop bugging me." Brittany hissed.
"Why are you in such a bad mood?" Slamming her book shut, she looked down at her friend. She shook her head when Brittany didn't reply. "Brittany?" She tapped the girl on the shoulder causing her to moan.
"Fuck off." Brittany said.
"Is it because of what's happened to Lauren?" Rachel watched as Brittany slowly shook her head.
"It's this heat, it's killing me. It has nothing to do with-" Brittany suddenly stopped talking and sat back up. She removed her sunglasses and stared at Rachel with wide eyes. "What's do you mean? What's happened to Lauren?" She asked curiously.
"Now you show interest." Rolled rolled her eyes. "Apparently she's been caught doing drugs or something." Rachel let out a laugh. "I'm just glad I don't talk to her. If there's one thing I know about Lauren Zizes, it's that if she's going down, everyone involved with hers going down."
Brittany's heart started beating like crazy. She was one of Lauren's best customers. Is she going down too? "OH MY GOD!" Brittany shouted.
"Brittany, calm down!" Rachel moved closer to her friend. "You're scaring people again. Don't worry about Lauren, she had it coming."
Rachel hadn't figured it out yet though. She didn't realize that Lauren being Lauren would probably give Brittany's name to the police and then she would be in trouble too. "I know she's your friend but it's not-" Rachel paused when she saw the terrified look in Brittany's eyes. She put the pieces together and that's when she realized, "oh my god, Lauren was your supplier!" Rachel mentally kicked herself for not figuring it out sooner.
There was a long silence between the two of them. Brittany was scared of what could happen if Lauren mentions her name to the police. How much trouble would she be in? Could she go to prison? Her family were unlucky bastards when it came to prison so the chances were very high. What would happen to her relationship with Santana? Would it be over? She shook that thought out of her head quickly. She couldn't lose Santana, she just couldn't.
Rachel was silent because the more she thought about it, the worse it was. She knew about Brittany's long history with drugs. She knew how much her friend took on a daily basis and that thought terrified her. Brittany had done so well staying away from drugs, Rachel couldn't have been more proud of her friend. She didn't deserve the past to be brought back up, she didn't deserve the consequences.
"Could all students make their way to class immediately. Lunch is over." The sound of principal Figgins voice echoed through the school speakers.
Brittany and Rachel were puzzled. Why had lunch been cut short and why did the students have to head to class immediately? Brittany thought that this might have something do with Lauren, it seemed a little strange that Rachel would mention what had happened then all of a sudden the announcement was made. For once in her life, Brittany did as she was told. She headed to English knowing she would probably find out more information there.
"Mr Douglas, is something going on?" A student in the class questioned.
Brittany and Rachel sat at the back of the class on the edge of their seats waiting for Mr Douglas to answer. They were silent. The whole class was silent, it turned out it wasn't just them who were curious to know what was going on. After what seemed like a decade of silence, Mr Douglas opened his mouth and spoke.
"I'm afraid something bad has happened." The teacher stood up from behind his desk and walked to the front of the classroom. The students waited impatiently even more intrigued now. "Well...the thing is-"
"Get on with it, man!" Another student shouted. Brittany couldn't agree more. She needed to know what was happening.
"Very well. It seems a student of McKinley has been involved with drugs." Brittany's heart stopped. "This is very serious and as a result, the police are searching the premises for drugs. When the police find the drugs, they'll be able to find the culprits. The police believe there is more than one student involved."
Many of the students in the classroom turned to face Brittany. Everyone knew about her love for drugs. Only friends knew she had quit, the rest of the school assumed she was still an addict. Mr Douglas even glanced in Brittany's direction, that's how much people knew. Usually Brittany would react to people staring at her but she didn't care, that was the least of her problems.
"It's alright Brittany, you haven't took drugs in months, they wont be able to find anything." Rachel whispered in the blondes ear after a few minutes of silence.
"You're right, Rach." Brittany replied, wiping the sweat from her forehead. There was something wrong though, Brittany could feel something wasn't right. She didn't know what is was but a feeling inside of her told her that she wasn't in the clear. That the police would find something that could cause serious problems for her. What was it though? That's when a memory flashed back to her...
"What are you staring at?" Quinn said as she stretched in the middle of the field.
"Nothing..." Brittany couldn't take her eyes away from the bleachers. They were right under there. Quinn followed Brittany's line of sight all the way over to the bleachers.
"Hmm, I haven't seen you under there for a while."
"I've quit." She quickly replied.
"Quit what?"
"Drugs, obviously." Brittany began running another lap around the field. Quinn stopped stretching and hurried across the field trying to keep up with Brittany.
"Well that's a surprise." The shorter girl panted, already out of breath.
"Since I've quit. Just out of curiosity, how much is under the table?" Yes, she was just curious.
"If you've quit, why do you need to know? I assume you wont be taking any more." Brittany rolled her eyes and glared at Quinn.
"Just tell me!" She panted.
"Loads. You were the one who took the most, Britt. We haven't really took anything from under the table. That's practically all yours, we've only took drugs at parties and shit lately." Brittany closed her eyes tightly and stopped running. She turned to face Quinn, wiping the sweat of her brow.
"So you're telling me, the same amount is probably still there." Quinn nodded her head.
"I assume. Pretty much any ways. We may have took one or two things but...its all still there Britt."
"Shit shit shit!" The blonde was angry. The thought of all those drugs waiting for her under the bleachers was killing her.
"We can move them if you want..."
"NO!" She shouted startling Quinn. She refused to let anybody take away HER drugs. She didn't understand why she shouted 'no' though. If she had no intention of going back on them, why did she care about what happened to them? She knew why though. She couldn't part with them. They had been a part of her life for so long, she just couldn't let them go.
"They're still there." Brittany said in utter horror.
"What?" Rachel turned in her seat to face Brittany who looked like she had just seen her a ghost. Her face was paler than usual, her eyes were wide and the sweat was falling from her face now.
"The drugs are still under the bleachers." Brittany whispered, not wanting to alert anyone in the class.
"How? I thought you stopped taking them? How are they still there, why didn't you get rid of them?" Rachel asked in disbelief. She couldn't believe how stupid her friend was.
"I'm an idiot, Rachel." Brittany ran her fingers through her messy hair. "I-I couldn't part with them and now look what's happened."
"Calm down Brittany, you're making yourself look guilty." Rachel tried to calm the blonde. The last thing they needed was lots of attention. "How much is there exactly?"
"A lot." Brittany answered. She could still picture the amount that was under there. She knew Puck and Quinn wouldn't have touched it so if her memory was correct, she was in more trouble than they imagined.
"Define a lot?"
"Loads. Bags and bags of drugs." Brittany's eyes widened even more.
"You must be joking? I know you must be joking because no idiot in the right mind would ever leave that amount of drugs in a place anybody can get it." Rachel almost shouted.
"I have to get out of here. I can't let them find it." Brittany was about to call for Mr Douglas when another student beat her to it.
"Since it's technically still lunch, can I go to the bathroom?" One of the students near the back of the room asked.
"I'm afraid not. No student is allowed to leave the class until the search is over." Brittany couldn't believe what she was hearing. She was trapped in a class unable to do anything whilst the police found the drugs.
"Brittany listen to me." Rachel grabbed Brittany's arm and forced the blonde to look at her. "Even if they do find the drugs, they can't link them to you, they-"
"Yes they can!" Brittany interrupted. "My finger prints are all over them. Laurens, Quinn's, Pucks, we've all touched them at some point."
"Oh, Brittany." Rachel didn't know what else to say. Her friend was screwed and she knew it.
"I have to text Santana, she's a teacher, surely she'll be able to get me out." Brittany quickly took the phone out of her shorts pocket and sent a text to her girlfriend.
ToSantana: I need you to come to English and get me out.
She waited impatiently for a few minutes. Her phone beeped signaling she had a message, she quickly unlocked her phone and read the message.
FromSantana: I can't babe. I have to make sure no students leave the room.
Brittany rolled her eyes and quickly replied.
ToSantana: I'll be leaving the school in handcuffs if you don't come down here right now!
Whilst waiting for her girlfriend to reply, she sent a text to Puck, knowing what she was about to do couldn't be done alone.
ToPuck: I'm sure you know what's happening? We are fucked. Our fingerprints will be all over the drugs under the bleachers. I need your help.
Puck replied instantly.
FromPuck: What do you need me to do?
"Don't tell me you've thought of a plan?" Rachel said as she peeped over Brittany's shoulder to read the texts.
"I can't just sit here and do nothing. The police will find them, I have to do something I should have done a long time ago." Just as she looked away from her phone, it beeped.
FromSantana: Don't you dare tell me you're involved in this?
ToSantana: I am a bit. I need you now.
That was a lie. She was completely involved. In fact, Brittany knew it was her fault all of this was happening. She left the drugs under the bleachers because she couldn't part with them, if she had gotten rid of them months ago, she would have nothing to worry about. After replying to Santana, she sent a text to Puck telling him what to do.
ToPuck: I need you to get out of your lesson. I know you'll find a way somehow. Meet me under the bleachers asap, don't get caught and hurry.
A few minutes had went by and neither Santana or Puck had replied. Brittany figured Puck wouldn't reply, he was probably trying to get out of class but she wasn't sure about Santana. Just as she thought about Santana, there was a knock on the door pulling Brittany from her thoughts. Everyone's eyes turned to the door, eager to know who it was. Mr Douglas opened the door revealing a very angry Santana. To the rest of the class Santana seemed perfectly fine but Brittany knew that face anywhere, she was pissed.
"Sorry to bother you Mr Douglas but I was wondering if I could steal Brittany for a little while?" Mr Douglas thinking nothing of it, nodded his head and gestured for Brittany to leave the room.
"Of course Miss Lopez." He said. Santana smiled and moved away from the door so Brittany could get past.
"Thanks again." Santana said, closing the door behind her. The hallway was empty, the police hadn't got to that part of the school yet.
"I can't thank you enough, Santana." Brittany tried to pull her girlfriend in for a quick hug but the Latina stepped back with her hands in front of her.
"What the hell have you done?" Santana hissed.
"Can we please talk about it later?" Brittany knew she had to get a move on. If someone saw her out of the class she would be in big trouble, she wouldn't be able to get the drugs.
"I find out that a student has been involved with drugs and no matter what, I must keep my students in the classroom until told otherwise. THEN, I get a text from you basically saying you have something to do with this. What the fuck is going on?" Santana demanded an answer.
"The drugs I had are still under the bleachers. I never got rid of them, I just left them there and I know now that it was wrong to do that." She paused for a moment looking left and right to make sure no one was in sight. "I swear I'm not taking drugs again. I promise you I'm not, but I need to get to the bleachers now. Pucks helping me get rid of them but the longer I stand here, the more of a risk I'm taking."
Santana sighed. "Fine, go, we need to talk about this later though." Brittany agreed to that, she thanked Santana and hurried towards the bleachers.
She was close, so close, the entrance to McKinley was in sight. All she needed to do was leave the building, hurry across the car park, jump a fence, get under the bleachers and retrieve the drugs. That's simple, right? She walked down the hallway and past the lockers, she was on her tip toes trying to be quiet, the slightest noise would echo through the school. Just as she was near the exit, two policemen appeared out of nowhere.
"So how are we supposed to get these lockers open?" One of the policemen spoke in a low rough voice. He tapped on one of the lockers expecting it to magically open.
"I think we need a combination." His colleague replied. "There's a list somewhere... unless." The man paused. He pulled out a stick from the side of his belt. "We just force them open? This is important after all."
"I don't think boss would appreciate us doing that. The school would probably send us the bill." The officer joked.
Brittany stood from a distance listening to their conversation. She wasn't moving, she was just standing the middle of the hallway not knowing what to do. If she moved, the policemen would hear her, if she stayed there, the policemen would see her. Either way she was caught.
"Think Brittany, think!" She said to herself, trying to figure out a plan.
She had no idea how the police officers didn't notice her. Surely they must have spotted her out of the corner of their eye? The officers moved closer to her, they eventually forced the lockers open one by one and searched for drugs. Brittany took a deep breath and decided to put her plan into action. She stepped forward, making her presence known to the policemen.
"Hi there!" She greeted, trying to sound confident even though her voice was shaky.
The police officer took a radio out of his pocket. It was clear what he was about to do. "Ma'am, I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask you to return to class immediately." The policeman spoke in a stern voice.
"No!" She quickly said, stopping the man from activating his radio. "I'm not a student, silly!" She lied and let out a small chuckle. "I'm the gym teacher, I've actually been sent to monitor the hallways since I have a free period next." Hopefully the shorts she was wearing made the lie sound more convincing.
"Oh." The police officer said.
"Yeah." She nodded. "We are taking this very seriously, students who are out of class will be punished. I just wanted to come over and see how things were going. I also want to ask you if you could keep your eyes open in case a student attempts to break free." She laughed.
"Absolutely, you don't have to worry about that ma'am."
"Fantastic!" She exclaimed, clapping her hands together. "Well I'll let you finish off here, I hope you find what you're looking for."
"I'm sure we will, ma'am. You keep your eyes open." The two police officers smiled at Brittany. She didn't have to worry about that, her eyes were on the lookout for everyone.
"I will." She replied before politely excusing herself. She quickly hurried down the hallway. She turned back once to see the police officer returning his radio to his pocket. She could finally breath again. The two gullible men seemed to have believed her, all she needed to do now was get to the bleachers.
Once the police officers had their backs turned, she quietly opened the door to the front building and let herself out. Their were police cars surrounding the building, luckily for her, the officers were all inside rather than outside. She was surprised how badly the police had handled the situation. If she were in charge, she would have officers patrolling the perimeter on the lookout for people like herself who happened to be doing a runner. Thank god no one like her was in charge, otherwise she would have been completely fucked.
Brittany ran across the car park as fast as she could. Her long legs sprinted past the police cars and other vehicle's all the way over to the dreaded fence. She looked left and right before climbing up and over the fence. She fell to her knees as she lost her balance for a moment, she let out a quiet 'fuck' before returning to her feet and hurrying to the bleachers. She could see police officers at the far side of the football field checking under the benches. She knew she had to act fast. When she got under the bleachers, she spotted Puck sitting on the couch with his head in his hands.
"Puck!" She shouted, startling the boy.
"Fuck Brittany! Don't do that." He said, standing up from the couch.
"We have to hurry, the police are across the field." Brittany said, lifting all the drugs from under the table and placing them on the couch.
"Jesus Christ!" Puck's eyes widened as he saw all the drugs. "There's fucking loads."
"I thought you knew that?"
"I never knew it was this much. I guess it's different when you haven't seen it in a while." Puck scratched the back of his head.
"Are you going to fucking help me or not?" Brittany shouted, knowing the police were getting closer.
"Yes, of course." Puck began helping Brittany place all the drugs on the couch. He then took out a few plastic bags from his pocket and started loading the drugs into there.
"Where did you get those?" Brittany asked, stopping what she was doing.
"Janitors closet." He replied.
Once all the drugs were in the plastic bags, Brittany doubled checked under the table and even under the couch to make sure they hadn't missed anything. Once the area was clear, they both hurried from underneath the bleachers and towards the fence. Getting over the fence proved to be a challenge this time. The police were getting closer and having drugs in their hands made it more difficult to climb. They eventually got over the fence just in time, Puck led the way to his car where he stored the drugs on the backseat.
"Get in." Puck said, looking around the car park to see if anyone was watching. Brittany didn't hesitate to get in the car.
"I can't stop shaking." Brittany cried. "For a moment I thought we had been caught."
"I know, Britt. Me too. Luckily they didn't see us." Puck wiped the sweat away from his forehead and turned to face Brittany. "What are we doing with these?"
"Just drive, Puck. I don't care where at the moment, just get of here, there's too many police officers around." Puck nodded his head and drove out of the car park and away from the school.
They drove in silence for few minutes. Brittany rested her head against the window, exhausted over the lousy day she was having. The sound of Brittany's phone beeping pulled her from her thoughts. She sat up in the passenger seat to check the message.
FromSantana: Have you got them?
ToSantana: Yeah, in Pucks car now. Going to get rid of them. Everything should be fine now.
Was everything really fine though? The evidence was gone from the school but Lauren wasn't. She could still drag Brittany and the rest down with her, she had a feeling this wasn't the end. She tried not to think about it too much, all that mattered at the moment was that all the drugs from under the bleachers were being taken care off. They were drug free.
FromSantana: Good. See you at home tonight.
Brittany sighed and put her phone back in her pocket. After a long argument of where to dispose the drugs, Brittany and Puck finally decided to lock them in a box and drop the box in the lake. It wasn't probably the best thing to do but they couldn't think of anything else. Their minds was blank, after the eventful day, they knew they just wanted to get rid of the drugs as soon as possible.
"Lets hope these stay hidden." Puck said after throwing the box of drugs into the lake. They both watched the box sink to the bottom of the lake, hopefully it wouldn't surface.
"Hopefully." Brittany whispered. She looked out at the lake one more time, saying goodbye to her past, before making her way back to Puck's car.
Brittany and Puck didn't return to school for the rest of the day. Instead, they went out for a pizza at an Italian restaurant just down the road from the lake. They hadn't long had lunch but after the whole drug situation, they needed food in their stomach. Brittany picked at her Margarita pizza, feeling too sick to eat. Puck on the other hand was enjoying his pizza and casually looked over to his friend, hoping to eat her pizza too.
"Gonna eat that?" He asked with a mouthful of food in his mouth.
Brittany shook her head. "No." She mumbled.
"Can I?" Puck pointed to the plate of pizza.
"Yeah." She watched Puck's face light up. He took the pizza and piled it on his plate. "So...can you tell me the story about Lauren?"
"Story? Oh! You want to know how she got caught?" Brittany nodded her head. "The police have been watching her for a while now. The drug business in Lima has gone beyond what anyone would have expected so the police took action. They found out about Lauren and watched her every move for the past few days, they knew they would eventually see a deal going down which is when they made their move. Arrested Lauren on the spot, took her down the station and that's it really."
"Why were the police looking in the school for drugs? Was she trying to sell us out?" Brittany asked, taking a sip of her drink.
Puck laughed. "I don't think so. I mean, if she was trying to do that, why didn't she just tell the police that the drugs were under the bleachers instead of just mentioning the school?"
Brittany thought about it for a moment. That was a good point. "Do you think there are drugs in the school we don't know about?"
"Probably." Puck shrugged. "Maybe it's not us she's trying to sell out."
"What do you mean?" Brittany asked with a frown on her face.
Puck finished the slice of pizza in his mouth before speaking. "God knows how many people she sold drugs to at McKinley. She probably has a grudge against someone, relax though, she's not trying to mess with us."
"You better be right." Brittany said.
After lunch, Brittany walked back to the apartment to avoid Puck finding out where she lived. By the time she got home, school had ended and Santana was already in the apartment, pacing back and forth waiting anxiously for her girlfriend to return.
"Where have you been!" Santana shouted as Brittany entered the apartment and strolled into the living room.
Santana was still in her work clothes. Her eyes were red as a stream of tears fell down her face. It broke Brittany's heart seeing her girlfriend like that, knowing she was the one who caused it. "I-I'm sorry." Brittany stuttered.
"That doesn't answer my question!" The Latina snapped.
"San..." Brittany walked over to her girlfriend and embraced her into a tight hug. "I've just been out with Puck, we went out for food then I walked home. I'm sorry I didn't tell you."
"I t-thought maybe you'd been arrested." Santana sobbed. "School finished ages ago and when I got home and realized you weren't here, I got worried."
"I know sweetie, I know." Brittany planted a soft kiss on Santana's shoulders before taking Santana's hand and leading them to the couch. Brittany sat down and patted her knee for her girlfriend to sit on. "Everything's fine, it's ok now." Brittany whispered into Santana's ear as the Latina sat on her lap.
"We need to talk about this." Santana said in a shaky voice.
"Can we talk about it later, babe? I think right now we just need lots of cuddles and kisses." Brittany leaned forward and kissed Santana on the cheek. The Latina closed her eyes and sighed.
"Britt." She whispered. "Please. Stop." Brittany ignored Santana though. She kissed further down Santana's face and stopped for a moment when she kissed her neck. After feeling Santana relax, she planted kisses all over her neck and with her hand, she hooked her fingers inside her girlfriends pencil skirt and attempted to feel more. After a couple of seconds, Santana opened her eyes and shook her head. "No, Brittany, we can't." She cried.
"What's wrong?" Brittany asked when Santana abruptly stood up and put distance between the two.
"We need to talk about this, Brittany." Santana said with anger in her voice. "Y-you can't do this to me! All day I've been worried sick about you and when you finally come home, you avoid the subject and try to have sex with me." Santana shouted.
"Because it's over now!" Brittany responded, jumping up from the couch.
"It's one thing after another! I'm absolutely fucking sick of worrying." Santana ran her fingers through her hair and took a deep breath trying to calm herself down. "I thought our relationship would be hard because I'm your teacher and you're my student, I couldn't have been more fucking wrong."
"What?" Brittany interrupted.
Santana held up her hand, not wanting Brittany to speak. "Our relationship is hard because something keeps happening with you. If it's not drugs, it's alcohol, or fighting, or getting suspended and a million other fucking things" Santana raised her voice even more.
"This isn't my fault, Santana!" Brittany replied, tears streaming down her face.
"Don't you dare pretend to be little innocent Brittany! This is your fault, don't blame anyone else. You told me earlier you left the drugs under the bleachers, right?"
Brittany nodded her head. "Yeah, but-"
Brittany was soon cut off. "Then how isn't this your fault? Why would you even keep them under there in the first place?" Brittany knew Santana was right. It was her fault, only her fault.
"We always kept drugs under the bleachers." Brittany mumbled, lowering her head.
"And you couldn't have kept them somewhere else? It's a school, Brittany." Brittany started to mumble a lot of 'I knows.'
"At the time you don't think you're ever going to get caught, that's why we kept them there." Brittany said, walking closer to Santana. "I know you've put up with a lot of shit Santana, I'm very sorry about that. I promise things will be easier from now on. I'm not fighting as much, I don't take drugs and to be honest, I drink a lot less now." She let out a tiny laugh. "I don't like seeing you mad." Brittany confessed.
"I don't like being mad, I can't help it though, the thought of ever losing you...it kills me." Fresh tears started to form in Santana's eyes. Brittany cupped Santana's face and leaned in to kiss the new tears away.
"This promise ring." Brittany brought Santana's hand up and placed a kiss to the ring. "It doesn't just mean I love you, it also means that I'm never leaving you." Brittany's voice started to shake after seeing the look in her girlfriends eyes. "Never in a million years will I ever let you go."
Santana burst out crying. "You better fucking mean that, Brittany."
"I mean it, sweetie." Brittany kissed the promise ring a few more times before wrapping her arms around Santana and passionately kissing her on the lips.
"I love you so much, Brittany." Santana said through kisses.
Brittany smiled. "I love you."
"Lets watch some TV. I just want you to hold me tonight." Santana said. Brittany happily agreed and led Santana to the couch. They spent the rest of the night cuddled up on the couch sharing lots of kisses and treasuring every single moment together.
The next day was a new day. Everything that had happened the previous day, had been pushed aside. Brittany and Santana both decided to move past it. Brittany knew what she did was wrong and they both hoped the drug situation was over and done with now. Brittany was awoken from her sleep when she heard her phone ringing in the living room. She let out a loud groan and reluctantly pulled herself out of bed. She walked into the living room and answered the phone in a sleepy voice.
"Hello." She mumbled with a yawn.
"You have received a call from: Patricia Pierce." Brittany rolled her eyes, hearing her mothers name was depressing. What the hell did the woman want now?! "Can you please state whether you would like to accept or decline the call."
"Accept." She said, wanting to know what that woman wanted.
A few seconds later, Mrs Pierce was at the other end of the line. Brittany sighed when she heard her mothers low rough voice.
"Brittany?" Mrs Pierce asked.
"What do you want?" Brittany took a seat on the couch and waited for her mom to reply.
"I want you to come and see me, again. I need you to do something for me." Brittany laughed, like she would do another thing for her.
"If that's all you wanted, then I'm afraid you're wasting your time. I'm not doing anything for you." Brittany said in a stern voice.
"Oh, I think you will." Mrs Pierce said.
"I don't think so. Listen, I'm busy with school and that, I can't come and see you." Brittany said, truthfully. Exams were coming up and she needed to be prepared.
"But Santana's a teacher? Surely she would be able to cover for you, right?" Brittany could almost hear the laughter through the phone.
Out of shock, Brittany dropped her phone on the floor. Her eyes widened as the realization hit her.
Mrs Pierce knows about Santana.
