Prodigal Son
"Alignment"
Her Majesty's Naval Base Clyde
An F-18E (an Air Force jet) landed at Clyde air field. Moments later, the lone passenger climbed down from the jet as the pilot remained in the cockpit; preparing for the refueling truck to arrive.
Two trucks actually arrived on the scene; one of which was indeed a refueling tanker. Upon being refueled, the jet would return to an Air-Craft carrier off the coast of France.
The other truck, which was a black SUV Land Rover, came to a stop right next to the passenger who had been on the jet; the Director of the WSB; Frisco Jones. He opened the passengers side front door and got inside.
"Director Jones," the driver said, "It is an honor to meet you, I am Field Agent Troy Frost," Agent Frost said with a serious yet nervous tone in his voice as he looked over at Frisco. "We only got the message of your pending arrival two hours ago," Frost continued, "But other than that, I'm not quite sure where you want me to take you; but the message did say it was an Omega level situation."
Omega level situations are of the most importance; all WSB agents are trained to know this of course. Frisco just stared forward.
"Agent Frost; I need you to take me to Aberdeen (Scotland)," Frisco said as he continued to stare forward out the windshield.
Agent Frost simply nodded his head and then drove onward...and four hours later they arrived Aberdeen Scotland. The beautiful and historic city had a storied past that dated all the way back to time of William the Lion (circa 1170 A.D.).
Frisco had not said a single word the entire way, and Agent Frost had been way too nervous to even initiate a conversation; Frisco had put off a DO NO DISTURB vibe the entire way.
As the Land Rover entered the city, Frisco finally looked over at Agent Frost.
"I need you to take me to the Saint Nicholas Churchyard on Union Street," Frisco said with a soft voice. "And," Frisco added after a pause, "I'm sorry I haven't spoken to you; just know that from what I know of you, you are a fine agent. Keep up the good work."
Frost nodded his head and he understood the protocols of an Omega level situation; silence was mandatory.
"Understood, sir," Frost said with a nod of his head as he looked at Frisco. "And yes," Frost added, "I know of Saint Nichols. My grandfather is buried there."
Frisco nodded his head and then went back to staring forward. As to why he was there; it was a simple re-con mission.
Ever since he had taken the directorship of the WSB, Frisco felt it was his utmost important task to contain the whole situation involving the threat; especially because it could pull in those who use to be close to him...Anna, Robert, Robin and...Felicia...and bring them danger
As for why Frisco had come to of all places Aberdeen Scotland? It was to find the resting place of Duke Lavery...and to play out a hunch that former Director Sean Donely had passed on to Frisco when he, Frisco, had become the new director of the WSB.
Was it possible that Casey Rogers (who Frisco now recalled because of Sean awakening his long forgotten memories of the events of 1990) never really left; and his essence had resided inside of Duke all this time? It was a reach, because as best as Frisco could recall about the early 90s, Duke had never met Casey Rogers. And in more recent years, Duke had recently perished after a failed hit job in Port Charles.
But Frisco had to hurry, because he already knew that Faison was on the loose and somewhere in Port Charles; being aided by unknown hostile forces.
Frisco also knew that a man, or better yet, a being with impossible powers was nearing Port Charles (the whole incident with the deer) as well...and now there was Casey Rogers.
All this pointed to one undeniable fact; powerful forces were aligning themselves in Port Charles; forces that could lead to the destruction of everything the world held dear.
Frisco could only wonder what he would find when he opened Duke's casket…
Continued...and next issue a very interesting visitor comes to Port Charles!
