What's up people? I may be good with Cliff-hangers but so far a few certain people are being able to predict was is happening with those god damn messages. Well done but at least be discreet about it okay. Thanks now let's press on.
Chapter 26: Settling in
With Pallet town once again behind him Ash was on his way back to his home outside of viridian city. The Champion home. Leaving the comfort of his hometown would never get old to Ash as it was despite being quiet as very relaxing and comforting place to him. But his taste for adventure and training his Pokémon would always overpower his desires.
He was currently riding on Zapdos's back as they were about to arrive at the house as Ash couldn't risk it with his Latios form morphing due to being close to Viridian city until he crossed the walls. Latias was alongside him with Pikachu on his shoulder. He was carrying out of his Pokémon Garchomp, Charizard, Swellow, Lucario, Espeon, Sceptile and Snivy back towards the home with him. He also had an extra passenger in a new poke ball that he fully recruited yesterday. Ash was still a little uneasy about it but went along with it.
They were now flying over the forest which within contained their destination. Due to Zapdos's speed it wouldn't take more than a minute to arrive. Ash was currently in thoughts of his own as they passed through the air. Pikachu was looking at him and said "Ash what is it?" The young Champion looked to his partner and smiled "Oh nothing I am just thinking of our next move after we are home. I am going to check with Alfred if I have had any requests or messages".
Latias smiled and flew beside them "I bet your message box has filled up in the two weeks we have been away from the house". Ash smirked to her at this revelation "I hope not. I may have to spend an hour working on it otherwise". Everyone grinned towards this comment before Ash continued "But today I want to be able to have everyone relax. We have been through quite a bit recently and I think everyone is in need of some serious rest".
Pikachu held up a paw and smiled happily towards this comment "I agree one hundred percent on that Ash. From the time in Altomare to stopping team Rocket in the Orange islands has really taken it out on everyone". Zapdos spotted the house up ahead and spoke "I can see the house now Ash. Going in for landing". Ash was amused by Zapdos acting like a pilot from a helicopter.
The Legendary bird flapped his wings heavily as he approached the ground. He took one final beat on his wings and then he landed on the ground and folded in his wings. Ash then jumped off with Pikachu and they stood beside him "Thanks as usual Zapdos. Now why don't you head around and rest up".
Zapdos merely nodded and then went flying off for the other side of the house. Ash then looked to Pikachu and Latias before saying "Alright lets head in and settle down. We really need it that much". Ash begun to slowly walk up the steps as Latias floated by the door as Ash came up to join her.
He took out his key card for the house and slotted it into the key hole for a second until the scanner accepted the card. The door then unlocked and Ash opened up and walked into the house slowly with Pikachu on his shoulder and Latias floating in beside him. They closed the door behind them and Alfred was stood in the lounge who immediately recognised Ash and stepped forward "Ah Master Ash…Good to see you are finally back sir. Was your time in Altomare enjoyable?"
Ash placed his small bag on the desk outside the kitchen and said "Yeah that Mega-evolution battle with Wallace was intense. I would have been home sooner but the issue with orange islands had delayed our return". Alfred understood and said "It did sound quite troubling when I was informed by the Professor of your delayed return". Ash then made a sigh and immediately set about getting some poke balls. He released out Espeon, Snivy, Swellow, Lucario and Sceptile first.
He then grabbed a second amount and released Typhlosion, Charizard and Garchomp. Everyone was now out of their poke balls and Ash smiled "Alright guys we are home now. Well done all of you for your help. Now take this opportunity to rest up. Because of what's happened recently we need to be ready. But for today just chill out". All of the Pokémon nodded towards this. Some of them went off into the backyard area where the pool and battlefield was. While a few stayed inside.
Pikachu, Snivy, Espeon, Latias, Lucario and Charizard were looking at Ash still while he took out one final poke ball and he looked at it in the small form of the poke ball. He stood there for a while debating on how to proceed until Latias intervened "Ash, I think you better bring him outside". Ash looked to her slowly before looking back to the poke ball "I just feel a little…Uneasy that I have been…given the responsibility of having him on the team now…It's a little overwhelming".
Pikachu smiled towards this and said "I know Ash…But remember this was his choice…He wants to join us and who are we to deny him what he wants to do. The same with us. We all chose this life because it is the life we are all happy to have". Ash looked to the Pokémon in the room as one by one they all nodded to him which caused a smile on his face.
He now felt a feeling of relief from his Pokémon's support and responded to this "Thanks you guys…It is just…absorbing in a way…and a little unsettling as well. To be given someone like him". Espeon was now the next to speak to this "Well why not bring him outside and let him out". Ash nodded to his Eeveelution and immediately began walking onto the balcony.
He looked to see Torterra, Krookodile, Unfezant and Staraptor were resting up in the garden while Zapdos had just joined them and laid down next to the pool resting himself. Ash then looked to the poke ball again and was about to raise it up until he looked to the stairway that connected to the lake just outside the house. Most around the house was the forest but the house was also built next to a massive lake where a walk way went to.
Ash decided to do the deed there and walked down the stairs to the pool and greeted all of his Pokémon there one by one as he was followed by Pikachu and Latias while the others stood behind and watched from the stair case and around as Ash walked down the steps to the small walkway on the lake where Ash approached the edge. Pikachu remained on his shoulder while Espeon and Latias stood beside him.
Lucario, Charizard, Sceptile, Garchomp, Typhlosion, Swellow and mainly everyone watched on as Ash held out the poke ball. He looked to it for a few seconds while Pikachu spoke to him "Ash it is time…" The young Champion hesitated for a moment before he nodded and help up the poke ball "Alright then…Come on out". The poke ball opened and energy went flowing out of it towards in front of them just above the lake. The energy begun spooling around for a moment before it all begun to come together to form the Legendary Lugia.
The guardian of the floated up as he looked down to them. Even though he has joined the team it was going to take some time for all of them, even Ash to get used to his presence due to all he represented. Lugia looked towards the young Champion and spoke up "Ash…Is this your…home?" The young Champion confirmed this assumption with a nod "Yes… and it is your home as well now for as long as you want".
Lugia nodded to this and produced a smile on his face "Thank you Ash…It is a privilege to unite in the wake of these events and to be a part of your team. I have always been curious to what it is like to be on a trainer's team. According to everything I heard it is a very interesting experience". Lugia flapped his wings slowly as he waited for an answer "Well we aim to please Pokémon… But it is up to them to be with us or leave. Completely their choice"
Lugia made a smile towards this in an approving manner but it quickly diminished when he begun to sense Ash's aura once more "Ash… I need to know something…You are not the same as you was when you fulfilled the prophecy in taming the beast of the sea with me. Your energy is completely different and higher than any other human. What has changed and it is not just your Aura Ash".
The Young Champion looked down a little as everyone around him were slightly worried. Ash however looked up and confidently said "Lugia…I know I can trust you so I will tell you. But you must keep it secret as barely any humans know about this" Lugia made a small grin to this "Well Ash it is not I am talking to human's everyday". Ash made a sigh to himself as he dug himself into that one.
"Okay Lugia the thing is the reason my energy is so advanced for a human is because…I am…not a full human anymore". Lugia was confused by this which Ash quickly recognised "Because over three years ago I was involved in accident which exposed me to pure Pokémon energy which turned me into a Half human, Half Pokémon being". Even Lugia was shocked about this as he struggled a little "Are you sure Ash…It seems far-fetched to believe… A hybrid of a human and Pokémon…It doesn't seem possible".
Ash smiled to this for a second before saying "It would be true Lugia. Everyone found it hard to believe but let me show you". Ash looked around for a moment and then focused himself. Lugia could already detect an increase in his energy and it begun to build up. Energy begun to envelope around Ash as he was slowly enveloped in it.
Everyone watched as the energy morphed around for a moment until it reformed and dissipated to reveal Ash in his Pokémon form. Lugia was in shock when he looked upon the form of a dark blue Latios. Ash opened his eyes as he floated in place and he spoke "This is the other form I gained when my body absorbed the energy of Latias's brother. After he gave it to me in order to save himself and a city so I am half human/half Latios".
The Guardian of the sea was in shock at first but he managed to find some words "I am lost…you are strong Ash…I can sense it within you all your power from this fusion of energy and aura…But how much you have changed…is enough to shock me as it is". Lugia then made a smile "But no wonder you can talk to your Pokémon as if it is natural for you to do. You truly are special Ash. In more than one way".
Ash smiled towards this and said "Thanks Lugia…But not all humans would react like that so I have to keep it secret". The guardian looked down to the water and closed his eyes for a moment and the plates of his back radiated for a moment. He opened his eyes back up as he descended into the water "Come Ash". Lugia then flipped and flew into the water.
The dark coloured Latios was confused at first and looked to everyone before he floated and dived into the water after the Guardian Legendary. He arrived in the water to see Lugia floating about underwater looking down. Ash floated beside him and said "So what do you want to show me Lugia".
The Guardian looked to him "You see Human's know a lot about Pokémon but we never reveal everything to them. The things most sacred to us are never revealed. But you are the exception Ash. You are part Pokémon". Lugia looked down and Ash looked alongside him to see water type Pokémon moving about freely in the lake.
Lugia then said "You see Ash…you being a Pokémon as well as Human may not be by accident or chance". Ash looked to him in confusement "What do you mean by that Lugia?" The Guardian smiled and spoke up by chance "It may have happened to you by fate or Destiny. You are the chosen one of legend. This could have been intended in a way for you to make you something truly special".
Ash looked down a second to this and Lugia smiled to the Pokémon "You see every Pokémon has its secrets as well as our way of life". Lugia now looked down "And I have now chosen mine… I was to guard the ocean but I want to accomplish much more Ash. Which is know is something you can give". Ash looked to the legendary who turned to him "I want to make sure the legendaries I am responsible for are safe. But you also need a helping hand in keeping the world safe and I will give you that help".
The young Champion smiled as the pair looked down the water to see the Pokémon moving peacefully with no worry in the world. Ash smiled deeply and said to Lugia "This is why my Pokémon and I combat Team Rocket…To ensure peace like this remains for Pokémon and humans. When everyone has a choice in life. I also took the role of Champion to show how amazing it can be to be with Pokémon. And to reach my goal of Pokémon Master. To be the best and show how great I am alongside Pokémon I can be".
Alright I am going to stop it there. Felt like Ash should delve a bit deeper into understanding Pokémon and himself. Thanks as always. Anyway I am going to bring this up. I am going to manage two Pokémon stories for now. I want some diversity now and one story just isn't keeping me sharp in this.
So the second story for my continent of the Eeveelutions trilogy will also be posted with this. If you love these please also check that Trilogy out as well. It focuses on the Eevee and its evolved forms specifically to Espeon and Umbreon. I know it is not everyone's cup of tea but don't judge a book by its cover. At least check them out and I will be happy then.
