Hello everyone! I am sorry again that I left for so long. I have only just finished a period of exams and as much as I love updating and trying to be there regularly, my studying came first this time. I am extremely sorry though and I hope this medley of point of views chapter makes up for it. Here it is Chapter 26! Enjoy!
Bella's POV
I struggled against my bonds until my wrists were sore and cut. I rocked my head back and forth until the scarf fell from over my eyes and I desperately looked around for something to help me. From across the room I could see a small axe in a glass case that read 'break for emergencies'. I jolted upwards and found that it was difficult but not impossible to move the chair inch by inch towards the axe across the room. I was pretty sure that Dr Jesson had gone so I slowly but surely inched my way towards my one hope of escape.
Edward's POV
We ran at super speed, following his scent to England. The anger that coursed through my veins was unreal. I had to find this guy once and for all, I had to tear him apart and burn the pieces. I had to kill him!
Alice's POV
Edward was mad, extremely mad. We were extremely worried, Bella was alive and not hurt, I could see her in my visions struggling against something like she was tied up. She was with a newborn, he was dressed very smartly and he had a dark look about him. I had a very bad feeling about this and we were doing everything in our power to stop him and save Bella. We kept running.
Carlisle's POV
Esme had been consoled and we had almost caught up to the others running as fast as we could through short cuts and waiting for hints from Alice as to where they were. I looked over to Esme and she gave me a reassuring smile, she was a fighter. We both continued to dash for our youngest daughter.
Rosalie's POV
As we continued to run, I felt increasingly worried for Bella. Sure I never really showed much affection towards her but I definitely cared about her, she was a little sister to me. Granted, she annoyed me sometimes with her disregard for her humanity but she wasn't to know or understand how I felt about humanity and how I longed to turn back the clock and never be a vampire. But I found my Emmett and my family and now I wouldn't swap them for the world. Not even Bella.
Jasper's POV
We arrived at a seaside town in South England, somewhere near Cornwall I think. I was blazing angry, my little fragile sister was in the hands of this crazed lunatic and I wanted her back. I would do whatever it takes to get her safe and help Edward kill this son of a bitch! Suddenly I felt Alice's mood change, as I glanced over to my love I could see she was having a vision. Before I could ask what it was, Edward stopped running and so did Alice. We all eventually stopped at the same time and stood in a wooded area near the cliffs of a harbour.
Alice's POV
My vision was the worst news I had seen yet. The newborn was confirmed as Dr Jesson but it was his power that worried me most. He had the ability to freeze time. How on earth were we ever going to get Bella back now? Surely Dr Jesson would just say 'freeze time' and we would be doomed. I know Edward saw this vision because his mouth fell open and his face was horrified. I turned to explain to the others what I had seen.
Emmett's POV
Once we stopped running, Edward looked paralyzed with horror. He dropped down onto a rock and held his head in his hands. Alice looked extremely worried and she gathered us all over to tell us about her vision. As we started to crowd around her, I had the horrible feeling of anxiety sweeping through me as I thought of my poor little sister at the hands of a psychopath. I immediately pushed the thought from my mind for Edward's sake and put my arm comfortingly around Rose. Alice began to explain.
Edward's POV
As Alice explained to the others what I had heard in her thoughts, I slumped down onto a rock. Fear and shock crept through my blood like ice and I was emotionally drained. I wanted Bella back more than anything in the world; the love of my life, my soul mate. How could I ever get close enough to her if Jesson could just freeze time. I didn't know what to do and I needed help fast, time was running out and I had a feeling that Carlisle would have an idea of what to do. I needed my father...
