THE BLACK EAGLE
Chapter 25: The Elf's Warning
THE BURROW, OTTERY ST. CATCHPOLE
The fireplace was full of activity as people gathered around. The Weasley's had made sure the house was secure and safe for their new guests. The flames went green for a second, and the blonde hair of Draco Malfoy entered. He was holding his own bags in his hand as he came out with an air of aristocracy. However when he left the fireplace he dropped the bags and embraced his friend Ron Weasley. He then repeated the gesture to all the people whom he had called friends over the years.
The next person to arrive was Narcissa Malfoy. She too exited the fireplace with a dignified manner. Walking out she greeted each and every one of them.
"It is so good to see you again Nari how fares the Manor?" Molly asked as she escorted the blonde woman towards the kitchens.
"Oh things have been rather quiet lately Molly. I do like to come over every so often. It gives me a breath of fresh air from all the posturing at the Ministry," Narcissa replied.
"Oh really? Then come and join me in the kitchen dear. I was making us something to eat for when the rest of our guests arrive," she said.
"You mean Harry Potter and his cousin?" Narcissa replied.
"Yes, now do help me with those dear, they need tending to," with that Molly led Narcissa away leaving the Weasley Patriarch and the rest of the family with Draco.
"Draco my boy it is good to see you again, and my have you grown!" Said Arthur Weasley as he gave Draco a good pat on the shoulder. The boy in question beamed at the attention.
"Go run upstairs Ronald has prepared the room for you," Arthur said and Draco nodded before heading upstairs towards where the boys would be staying.
"Well that is one and another to go," said one of the older Weasley brothers.
Just as he said it the fireplace blared green again, and this time a rather thin woman entered. She was accompanied by a rather large man as they walked around the living room.
"Um you must be Harry's Aunt and Uncle welcome! I am Arthur Weasley and this is my family," Arthur said bidding them welcome.
Vernon looked apprehensive, but it was Petunia who gave the warm greeting, "I am happy to be here! I am Petunia Dursley and this is my Husband Vernon. Don't mind him he is a bit apprehensive because this is his first time in a Wizarding home," she said. She remembered to say 'Wizarding' instead of 'Magical' because they tend to take it as an insult of you do not.
"Well I have to remember who your sister is after all, but where are the boys?" asked Arthur.
"We wanted to inspect the place first because this is Dudley's first time, and Ronald has been very helpful in preparing us for this visit," Petunia replied.
Arthur seemed to get what she meant and turned to stare at his twin sons. "You two will behave yourselves understood?" he said and the twins only laughed before nodding.
Well that is until Petunia gotten into their faces. Both Twins looked a bit hesitant when she stared them down.
"Now you listen here both of you. If anything were to happen to both of my children because of your pranks. Mark my words you will know what it is like to feel my wrath. My sister was married to a Marauder after all and I learned a thing or two from her. Even though I can't perform magic I can still give as good as I get," Petunia said.
Vernon at this point looked proud and a little turned on at his wife.
Both twins paled before nodding.
"Well I guess we can tell the boys to come in," Vernon said.
"Oh good! Now then when can I meet that wonderful wife of yours?" Petunia said her attitude changed once more to a pleasant smile.
"Oh she is in the kitchen. She has another guest though so make yourself at home," Arthur said.
Petunia walked away leaving Vernon with Arthur and the boys while he poked his head in the fire to let the boys know it was alright to come in. The first one through was Dudley and then he was followed by Harry. Both boys looked around amazed at the sight of the house.
"Now boys behave yourselves we are guests after all," said Vernon as he and Arthur led the boys up the stairs to where Draco and Ron were waiting for them.
"Hey guys come in! Draco just got here about ten minutes before you did so you're right on time," Ron said and indicated the beds. "Dudley you sleep on the bottom while Harry you get the top."
Both boys were just glad to be able to spend some time with their new friends. Vernon and Arthur moved down the stairs to speak with the other adults while the boys settled down.
"Wow is it really Harry Potter and his cousin coming to visit us?" said a voice.
All four boys looked up to see a pair of identical twins at the door.
"Don't mind them that is just Fred and George, twins. Fred has his wrinkles like so," Ron demonstrated with showing off the pattern of Fred's freckles and how George has his nose a certain way due to a fight.
"Wow you are good," said Fred.
"Yep, I am the best! See only me and my mom knows who is who so there," Ron replied.
The two only shook their heads as they left leaving the four boys alone.
"Are the wards up?" asked Harry.
"Yep the wards are up and the runes are in place so this place is prank proof." Ron replied.
"What about the wards around our 'other' stuff?" asked Harry.
"All done and ready," Ron replied.
"Good, we don't want anyone to discover our stuff right?" Draco replied.
"Nope," Ron replied.
"Ok, blokes so what are we going to do?" Dudley asked finally.
"We wait till dark before we head out," replied Harry.
"Cool, so while we wait why don't you explain some things to us Ron. I mean Harry and I live in the mundane world and Draco here is basically filthy rich. So why don't you explain how a regular wizard works?" Dudley said taking out his pen and paper.
"What is that?" asked Ron.
"Oh it is my notes on how to survive in the magical world. It is a fun way to pass the time." Dudley explained, but the smirk on his face proved that he was in fact joking.
MEANWHILE
"Oh your kitchen is lovely Molly I have to say that cake of yours was splendid," Petunia said.
"Oh don't thank me it was Narcissa who actually baked the cake. I just did the biscuits and had the ingredients," Molly replied.
"Ah, and I do hope you like my salad Molly?" Petunia said.
"Oh your salad was lovely dear! I didn't know that if you add bacon to the salad that it would add such a wonderful flavor," Molly added.
"Oh no problem Petunia dear you took such wonderful care of your boys. And to hear that Harry and Dudley can cook? That is such a wonderful thing. I have never heard of men cooking. Even here in the Wizarding World the men never cook...well except those who have taken an interest." Molly replied.
"Well in the Mundane world as you put it, we teach our men how to cook. Now mind you not all men can cook, but a good number of them do. It saves their lives when they are living alone with no women to cook for them," Petunia replied.
"Well now I will have to take you up on that," she said.
"Now that is interesting itself I should ask Draco if he is interested in learning," Narcissa replied.
"Draco? What about your husband will he even allow it? And don't you have a house elf?" Molly asked.
"We have a house elf. But I am thinking now, and don't repeat this, but I think my sweet Draco has indeed learned how to cook behind my husband's back," Narcissa replied.
The other two women could only stare for a brief moment before they all burst into chatter.
LIVING ROOM
While the women were talking about their sons cooking. The men on the other hand were in the living room talking about something else.
"So the camera records things and projects them onto the television?" Arthur asked Vernon.
"Yes, as I explained it before for the television camera. It projects light into electricity and that gets transported to a receiver. Then that receiver then turns the electricity and light into the picture on your tele." Vernon replied.
"Amazing! I've always wondered how they did it," Arthur said to himself.
"Now can I show you something?" he asked Vernon.
"Sure," Vernon said.
Arthur led him outside towards the garage on the side of the house. There he opened the door and in the middle of it was a...
"Is that a 1966 Ford Anglia?" Vernon asked.
"Why yes I picked it up from a bloke in a junk yard just outside of London and repaired it myself. Took some enchantments, but I made this thing able to fly," Arthur replied proudly.
"You made that thing fly?" asked Vernon.
"Yes, it was not hard to do actually, but the problem was trying to hide it from the Ministry of Magic." Arthur replied.
"I see," Vernon replied. After Harry and Petunia explained a bit about the government of wizards and witches Vernon liked the magical world even less.
Though he loves the feel of magic everywhere and how things are on this side. But he did not like the way the government treats its people. This government is full of Templars and they had done a thorough job of wiping out the Assassin's from magical England. But Vernon knew that there were some survivors such as Severus Snape, Remus Lupin and Sirius Black. Soon though would come the time to attack.
That much he can guarantee since his wife a former Assassin had told him as much. He was smart enough to learn the mind strengthening and blocking techniques required to keep some wizards out. Since the art of mind reading is a rare ability it can be blocked. Blocking ones mind takes training and skill. Both Petunia and Severus taught him as much since it is required of Assassins.
Now Vernon was no assassin, but he is a supporter. He had seen first hand what the Templars can do. After all they practically run Grummings.
"So Vernon tell me how do you fuel a car? Not that I am complaining and after the spells I put on it. I just want to make sure?" Arthur asked.
Vernon was more then happy to explain how to put gas in a car. How to open the engine and how to care for a car since after all Arthur basically grew up in the stone age.
"Amazing! So all these parts do have a purpose! I mean I had to ask how to drive and was taught how to drive, but to know how it works! I can't ever thank you enough!" Arthur said quite happy to have someone show him what it is like.
"No problem. All you have to do is ask. Which is not today I'm afraid, I have to get my wife and get going. I have a meeting at work at four and have to get ready." Vernon said.
"Oh no problem thank you so much for coming! And if you need any more floo powder just let Harry know and he will owl us." Arthur said.
At the fire place Petunia was waiting for her husband as well as Narcissa. The other woman was talking animatedly with Petunia about something Vernon could not think about. When she saw her husband she smiled and took his hand.
"Well it was nice to finally meet you all, and I hope you get to enjoy your time with our kids," Petunia said.
"Oh we will have a lovely time together thank you for having them here Petunia, Narcissa," said Molly.
As soon as that was done they disappeared in a ball of green flames in the fire place.
The Weasleys then turned and watched in surprise as Harry, Dudley and Draco were out having fun with Ron. The boys was taking care of the gnome problem in the yard.
It was called gnome launching. Harry, Draco and Dudley would catch the gnome and Ron had prepared a sling shot to launch them across the way into the woods. It turns out that is was rather popular with the gnomes. The gnomes would purposely come back just to have the boys launch them again. Though they lack any form of intelligence they know the meaning of fun.
The boys themselves enjoyed catching them, and the skill it takes to catch them also adds to the fun. For someone as big as Dudley it proved a bit more difficult, but he managed.
They also did the leaves and trim the bushes without magic for Dudley's sake. Some plants they had to avoid because they are dangerous. There was some vines that ate people if not properly taken care of. Those had to be removed by magic and thankfully they did it without getting caught.
When they were done by the time the sun set the boys returned to their home.
"Well boys I see you all did yourselves well. Go wash up supper is almost ready," Molly said to them.
All four of them managed to get cleaned up before returning down for dinner. Molly and Arthur both enjoyed their time with the boys as they kept Ron from becoming a selfish prat. In fact they all talked about themselves a bit and their homes. Arthur had many questions for Harry and Dudley seeing as they are from the Muggle world. Dudley explained to him a bit about video games and Muggle fantasy books. In fact he brought some for Arthur to read which the man enjoyed.
Molly was busy discussing recipes for many things with Harry and surprisingly enough Draco. The blonde boy had proven to like the kitchen and would often times sneak down to have Dobby the house elf teach him how to cook.
"He said that you must make sure that the noodles are soft before adding in the chicken flavoring and the dumplings. If not then you could ruin the soup's flavor. The dumplings or wan-tons in Chinese need to soak a bit to allow their flavor to seep into the broth. Then when it is fully soaked you add your vegetables and maybe an extra meat like strips of pork or shrimp." Draco said to her.
"My such a bright young man! Are you sure you are a Malfoy? When Narcissa told me that you had taken it upon yourself to learn how to cook. I would never had imagined that you had taken a liking to it?" Molly said.
"Cooking is like potions ma'am it is an exact art that needs to be mastered. I like potions, I really do, and I hope I do well in Hogwarts. Maybe when I graduate I can become a world renowned chef. That would really get my father going," Draco replied.
"Oh how wonderful! Ron was telling me he has taken a liking to muggle airplanes. Imagine my Ronnikins following in his father's footsteps," Molly replied.
"Mom really! I don't want them to think I am a suck up!" Ron complained.
"You are not a suck up son. And besides if you want I can ask Harry's uncle for some help in getting you a job doing just that?" Arthur said.
"Really? I mean I can go to the muggle world?" Ron asked, knowing he was going to go there anyways might as well make it official.
"Sure why not? Mr. Dursley might know a place where you can learn such tricks," Arthur said.
"Cool your the best dad!" Ron said as he got up to give his father a hug.
"Awww don't sweat son! Now why don't you finish supper and we can get off this table." Arthur said.
They managed to finish dinner with little time after that, and allowed themselves off of the table. Once off they managed to head right up to Ron's room for some exploding snap and some Clue. The boys were having so much fun trying to solve a mystery that they did not notice the time till Molly told them it was bed time.
When they all gotten into bed the door was closed leaving them in total darkness. Ron had made sure to ward the room from the twins pranks as well as put some of his own. His parents were not aware of the special wards he placed around the room. But they were aware that Ron had one of the most prank proof rooms in the house. The twins had tried everything to figure out how their brother managed to keep them out. But they gave up after a while.
In the meantime Ron just smirked with his friends when he heard the wards go off on his brothers. His parents were fine because the wards were designed to make sure to alert him as to who was coming.
After the house settled down the boys threw off the blankets revealing their Assassin's clothes. Throwing illusion charms on their beds the boys quietly exited the house via Ron's window. Climbing down they managed to avoid the house owl and sped into the night.
Three owls followed with Harry and Dudley's owls being the most noticeable. Ron had recently gotten an owl as a present from Draco for his birthday back in March. The owl named Pigwigdeon was called Pig for short flew alongside his larger companions. Draco's familiar was surprisingly enough not even a bird.
A small white mongoose with red eyes rode on top of Dudley's Owl. The bird itself didn't mind as the mongoose was very light and provided backup against someone trying to shoot him. As they raced into the forest it was with luck that they managed to get to Ron's clearing.
The clearing was in fact not overly larger seeing as it was well hidden. But the light of the full moon shown brightly in the sky. With Eagle Vision on at its fullest. The three magical boys and one mundane boy began to scout out the area.
"I wish I had the sight like you guys," Dudley said as he stumbled along in the dark.
"The only reason why we are using it is to make sure there are no werewolves in this area. I heard last week that here was a sighting. Untrained weres are very dangerous." Ron replied.
"Yeah I know mum told me all about Uncle Remus and how he was trained to accept the wolf within and use it to become an Auror," Draco said.
"Wow a real werewolf! So are they like vicious like the movies or are they saps?" Dudley asked.
"They are dangerous unless they are trained by a master shifter," Draco replied.
"Oh," Dudley replied as Ron had a ball of light in his hands. He then released it into the clearing. Harry and Draco did the same as the place became illuminated by their magic.
"Cool, so where do I start in my education of the magical?" Dudley said.
"Well we will start with some history. What do you know about the magical side of the United Kingdom?" Harry asked.
"Um...I was told that it was controlled by the Templars," Dudley replied.
"Yes, do you know who their Grandmaster is?" Draco asked.
"A very old guy named Albus Dumbledore," Dudley replied.
"Do you know how old he is?" asked Ron.
"No," Dudley replied.
"Well this is where you get your education my dear friend," with that Ron showed him towards a hole in the ground. It was a small rabbit hole one that no one has thought about. Smirking he waved his hand and Dudley shrank to the size of a mouse. The hole then revealed a snake. The small snake only looked at them before slithering back into the hole.
"Alright come on everyone," said Draco as he and Ron shrank to the smaller size with Harry close behind.
Having not being used to this sort of thing Dudley was a bit disoriented. Ron and Draco led Harry and Dudley down into the tunnel till they reached a small patch. There the room instantly lit up revealing a larger den of sorts.
"Draco and I were playing when we were nine. I accidentally shrank myself into the size of a small mouse. When that happened Draco could not find me. That was when we discovered the burrow.
Walking around the the den looks like any regular den. The fire place was well lit with it soft flames lighting the room. The bookshelves and the soft lounge chairs. It truly is a hidden den.
"How did you guys come up with this?" Dudley asked.
"Well over the years Ron and I had been busy storing stuff here. When we discovered the burrow we had used it to hide our assassin equipment here." Draco replied.
Sure enough on the wall behind them was a banner with the Assassin's symbol. It had a homely feel to it as they walked around.
"So this is where you guys hide your stuff every time?" asked Harry.
"Yeah, pretty much. Can't keep a lot of it hidden in the house. The twins are always going through my stuff. They are trying to see what they can find and use for their stupid pranks," Ron replied.
"What about your sister?" Dudley asked.
"Ginny? She stays well clear of my room. She saw what happened to the twins and thought that it was not worth it. Besides the wards around my room usually tell me when she is nearby," Ron replied.
"Ah so she stays out of it then?" asked Dudley.
"You could say that. She claims that my room is rather creepy to her with the lack of Quidditch posters on the walls. I mean don't get me wrong I love the sport but ever since I've begun training as an Assassin...well it sort of lost its appeal," Ron replied.
The others agreed as they looked around admiring the room. Or in the case of Harry and Dudley admiring the room. Ron and Draco on the other hand were busy seeing what has been shifted.
"You know a thought occurred to me?" Harry asked.
"What?" replied Ron.
"Well what is the deal with the snake outside?" Harry inquired.
"Oh, Shelby? I rescued her from some school yard bullies back in primary school. Had placed her here to keep her safe." Ron replied.
Did someone mention my name a rather soothing voice hissed.
In slithered none other then the snake herself. Her pale scales glowed in the light of the fire as she made her self known.
"Guys this is Shelby the owner of this little burrow," Draco said.
The snake in question flicked her tongue out at everyone and bowed her head, It is a pleasure to meet you all. I am so glad my little hatchlings have made friends, the snake said as she coiled herself around a spot near the fire place.
"How was your hunt?" Draco asked.
Oh my hunt went well I caught myself a good sized rat. It was rather tasty considering, but at least I am full for the next couple of days, Shelby replied.
The snake only gave them a warm look before curling up and gone to sleep. Because she has no eyelids they could tell she was asleep by the way it dimmed to show that she was out.
"Well what are we going to do now?" asked Harry.
MEANWHILE
Deep in the heart of France many people gathered around a single circle. In the center was none other then Albus Dumbledore. Instead of wearing his traditional robes which the Wizarding world has seen he wore the dark robes of a Grandmaster. In front of him was a group of men in business suits. Each of them also wore black to fit the attire.
"Has my tracker been most helpful to you Brother Rikkin?" Dumbledore replied with a slight bow.
"He has indeed Grandmaster Dumbledore. He and his partner have managed to flush out more Assassin nests then what our forces did separately. It seems that combining magic with science has indeed proven fruitful," Rikkin said.
"Indeed it has. How is the genetic memory project going? I've heard you've made some progress since I've given you the pensive?" Dumbledore asked.
"Things are progressing slowly but at least they are progressing. The subjects we have are being most resistant to the treatments. However the General of the Cross suggested a more invasive action should be taken to extract the memories of the subject. I am told that you have such a method?" Rikkin asked.
"Indeed the Legilimencyspell. A most useful spell in aquiring information with out the host knowing that they are being spied upon. However there is a counter for it called the Occlumens, and as such it is difficult to extract something from someone who is a natural at it." Dumbledore replied.
"What if we were to use a different method similar to this Legilimency spell to extract our information. Something like combining both the power of the pensive and the spells unique way to unlock ones memories? Is that possible?" Rikkin asked.
Dumbledore liked this man already too bad he was a mundane and not a magical, "It could be possible what do you have in mind?" Dumbledore asked.
"This whole time we have been using magic as our means of getting memories. What if we combined science with magic like how we used to hunt the Assassins?" Rikkin replied.
"Ah you mean to use dark magic to achieve the goal? Then I approve, Lucius would provide some information in regards to the library as well as try to resurrect our esteemed Assassin hunter Tom Riddle. He is quite good at what he does. Lucius see if you can find anything that could help our friends," Dumbledore said.
"It shall be done Grandmaster," Lucius said.
"Good onto more pressing matters the Piece of Eden that was found in the Arctic. How goes your research into finding its significance," Rikkin asked Dumbledore.
"It was found that the mirror is quite powerful indeed. The spells put in its place are very advanced even for my people. However what we do know is that the mirror seems to examine a person's mind and extracts what we would interpret as dreams and desires. It then manifests them into images so people who desire big things can see them for themselves. However there is a drawback." Dumbledore said.
"What are the drawbacks?" Rikkin asked.
"The drawbacks is that it seems to feed on those desires of people and entrap them into its gaze. Once that is done a person is forever trapped in the images it shows. I had a student nearly become entrapped in it. Shay Cormac had warned us years ago about its dangerous properties. However we never knew the true aspects of it till now. So the mirror draws its energy from the minds of dreamers and manifest its images out to them. By doing so it used the minds of the victim to draw power to it. When it does the victim's brain slowly but surely diminishes till there is nothing left but an empty husk. By then the victim's mind is nothing but mush." Dumbledore replied.
"I see, and what if there was a way to use that power to say...punch a hole into the genetic memory of people?" Rikkin said.
"What are you suggesting?" Dumbledore asked.
"I am suggesting like we did with our Assassin problem. Combine both magic and science to find those memories as well as the rest of the POE's. Use them to harness the mirror's power and maybe combine it with the pensive," Rikkin replied.
"You maybe on to something. Lucius will help in extracting some of the darker spells used on the pensive while I have your scientists analyze the mirror. It is of no use to me now since that fool Riddle tried to take the Philosopher's stone from it. Greedy Bastard does not know the terms of wait. Take the mirror but cover it before you move it. One glance and you become entrapped within its gaze," Dumbledore warned.
"As you wish Grandmaster I shall inform the General immediately as well," Rikkin replied.
"Please do and send him my regards," Dumbledore replied as they left.
When Rikkin's men left the building Dumbledore remained behind, "How did you fare to that piece of news Lucius?"
From the shadows a figure emerged. Cane in hand with an aristocratic air to him Lucius Malfoy emerged to greet Dumbledore. Beside him was his wife Narcissa who looked equally apprehensive about what just transpired.
"Grandmaster if I may, is it wise to loan such an artifact to such riffraff," Lucius said.
"No, but we are running short on time Lucius. If our calculations are correct then the solar flare will hit our world in 2012. We must be able to find the solution. Abstergo is obsessed with trying to find all the POE's but we have to look at the bigger picture. When that thing hits all life will be wiped out so we have to be prepared." Dumbledore said.
"What about the Assassins?" Lucius asked.
"Let Pettigrew and Cross deal with them we have bigger fish to fry. For starters the pensive will need to be warded if they are to use it to extract genetic memory. We need to find spells that can help buffer any attempt to use electricity on it. If not then our chances of success will be futile," Dumbledore replied.
"It shall be done Grandmaster the Malfoy library has some very ancient tomes. Perhaps our answers can be found there," Lucius replied.
"Very well, How fares the search for Altair's library?" Dumbledore said.
"Not very well I'm afraid. We have still much ground to search. But so far Altair was clever in scattering all his books if his records are to be believed," Lucius replied.
"Clever bastard! No matter we need to deal with the Pensive and the Mirror first then we can deal with Altair's library later. Do your search Lucius and remember to be thorough!" Dumbledore replied.
"It shall be done Grandmaster," Lucius bowed as he turned and left.
Dumbledore watched as the Malfoy's left the room. He then nodded to himself before disappearing as well back to where he was original at in Dumbledore manor.
PARIS
When Lucius and Narcissa entered their manor in Paris Lucius immediately went to get something to drink.
"Darling are you alright?" she asked her husband.
Lucius remained quiet as he reached in for the strongest drink he had. An aged Ice Brandy lay out before him as he took a much needed sip.
"The Grandmaster asks for much," he said as he plopped down in a lounge chair.
"I know dear," Narcissa replied as she walked over and began to rub his shoulders. Lucius fell back feeling more relaxed as she worked her hands into his shoulders.
"Tell me how do you feel about doing all that research?" Lucius asked.
"It would be a chore to do but I have my obligations so I will just have to make do," Narcissa replied as she managed to massage a rather nasty knot out of Lucius's shoulder.
"Oh the Grandmaster must feel that safety protocols should be in place just in case something like this happens. But I fear such research would take a lot of time out of it. Probably the whole summer if I am not mistaken," Lucius replied.
"I am just glad then that my sweet Draco is staying with Severus and the Weasleys this summer," Narcissa said to her husband feeling glad inside for it as well.
"Yes the Weasleys," Lucius replied with a hint of disdain in his voice.
"Oh don't give me that dear husband! Molly is an exceptional babysitter and she enjoys Draco's company as much as he enjoys hers. In fact the boy's social skills has picked up a notch since we let him play with the Weasley boy. Isn't that what you wanted?" Narcissa said to her husband.
"Yes, dear though I've also wanted him to associate with others of his own race," Lucius said.
"And the Weasleys aren't?" she asked.
"Oh alright fine they are but they are still blood traitors!" Lucius replied.
Narcissa knew exactly what he meant. Thought she had to smooth things out with him so she reached down a bit lower to his lower back to help him feel a bit better.
"True they are traitors in a sense of their ideals, but look at it this way at least they are not Assassins," she hissed.
"Oh dear sweet Merlin lady don't every exercise that thought again! I remember my father telling me how hard they worked to get rid of the last Magical Assassin in Europe. It was bad enough that they were a down right nuisance in his day. I can imagine them now," Lucius replied.
"Well you don't have to worry so much about it. The Weasleys are only just common folk and your son is going to learn proper social skills from someone who can be trusted with his care." Narcissa shot back.
"Mmmm," Lucius replied.
The rest of the evening was spent just enjoying themselves. Being careful not to wake her husband Narcissa slowly gotten out of bed and wrapped a cloak around herself. She walked out of the room towards the study where a pen and paper awaited.
She then quickly began to write a letter to her son asking how he was doing, but at the same time disguising the letter with a hidden message one she made a special spell to use.
"Whom are you writing to dear?" the groggy voice of Lucius said in the doorway.
"I am writing to our son," Narcissa said truthfully, "It is a full day and I miss him already," she then showed Lucius the letter.
Lucius took the letter and read it. It was a simple letter one that asked how he was doing and are the Weasleys treating him well. He then handed the letter back to his wife who then sealed it. Feeling satisfied Lucius saw his wife reach for the novel she was reading before they went to their meeting.
"Won't you come to bed dear?" he asked.
"Maybe later I want to read a bit and then I will join you," she smiled at him. He gave a soft smile before he left her in the study.
When she was sure he was gone she cast some wards so she is not disturbed and some privacy spells.
"Dobby!" she called.
Instantly Dobby appeared and bowed before his mistress, "You's calls for Dobby mistress?" the house elf asked.
"Yes, I have a message for Draco I need you to send this to him right away its important," Narcissa replied.
"Dobby will do as Mistress asks," he said.
"Oh and Dobby...be careful," Narcissa said to him.
The elf nodded before he vanished. Banishing the spells Narcissa read a bit before retiring to bed. As she crawled into bed her husband was already fast asleep. The tired lines under his eyes already seemed to leave him as she placed a kiss on his forehead. Curling up into the sheets she let her mind drift as sleep claimed her.
MEAWHILE
"It is getting rather late and we have to get up early," Ron said.
The boys had been doing extensive training since they gotten here. The training room in the hidden burrow has provided them with the means to test their skills. It was only when they were outside and back to their original size that a popping sound was heard.
Wands and knives out the trio met with a scared looking house elf.
"Dobby?" Draco said.
"Please sir's don't kill Dobby!" the house elf said while holding his hands up.
"Dobby what are you doing here?" Draco asked.
"Who is Dobby?" asked Harry.
"Draco's house elf, Drake something must have happened," Ron said.
"Hold on's I have letter from Mistress. She says is urgent I get it to yous read it says its important!" Dobby replied.
Draco took the letter and opened it up.
Dearest Draco,
My little dragon oh how I missed you. Your father and I are having a grand time in France and I wished that you were here with us. But as your father stated you need time to gather your allies of the future. We visited Muggle Paris and saw the vast paintings on the wall. We also visited La Belle Beune Fille you know that town your uncle Andrew lives in. Oh the sights were marvellous. I know it has only been a single day since you're left with the Weasleys, we did a bit of traveling. Your father has buisness he needed to attend to with the Ministry here but even with my exhausted brain how I wish you were here to see it Draco. In fact just writing to you makes me cry. Your father is standing behind me and also wants me to add his well wishes too.
Tell your friends hello for me.
Love,
Narcissa Malfoy,
"Um ok? This is one weird letter," Dudley said.
"Yeah, Drake why would your mother write to you when she has only been gone for a day?" Harry asked.
"It is a coded letter. Mother would often times write letters to Uncle Severus to let him know what father was up to. As much as she loves my father what he is doing with Dumbledore is demeaning to the Magical Realms. I mean a Templar? Of all the things Father chose to be but a bloody Templar?" Draco ranted.
"So how do we read it?" Harry asked.
"With a drop of blood from the recipient, Me" with that Draco used his knife to prick his finger and let it drip onto the paper. Almost immediately the message changed into something the boys did not expect.
Dearest Draco,
I had to send Dobby because this message could not wait on Owl Mail. Plus the owl could be intercepted by anyone. I wanted to get this to you as fast as possible and Dobby was the only way to get this to you.
As you know your father and I had business in France. Well turns out that business is Templar Business. Dumbledore has recently began cooperating with Abstergo. A multi-million pound cooperation. They intend to fuse Magic and Science for something called 'Genetic Memory.' Now your father and I have been tasked with finding what magical rituals would help buffer the two together. Since this task would take up most of our time I will not bore you with the details. But know this Dumbledore wants them to succeed. He wants them to find Altair's Library for him. For that he needs Abstergo and to scour each and every one of his test subjects for any signs of Altair's heritage.
He is searching for the Pieces of Eden and he already has one with the mirror. He is using the mirror to act as a sort of booster for Abstergo's plans. I don't know what else he is planning but I will inform you of everything once I get word out. If I can't write then Dobby will provide the information. House Elves are useful that way and one that has no loyalty to a family even more so.
I do hope you are doing well in your training my little dragon. And I urge you to be careful.
Love,
Narcissa.
The three boys stared at the letter in shock the letter was brief but they got the message.
"We need to tell the Mentor," Dudley said.
They all agreed.

A/n: Damn it has been a long time since I've added a chapter to this story. But it was worth it. You know it was a pain to constantly rewrite it till I got something satisfying? The whole exchange between Narcissa Malfoy, the Weasleys especially Molly and Petunia Dursley was one I had to literally talk out loud for everyone to hear to get it right in my head. But it was fun writing about Ron's room and how he kept his brothers out.
But anyhow I won't bore you with any more details and as always please by all means leave a review, and remember no BASHINGS, FLAMES AND LORE MONGERS. Remember this is a crossover so anything goes.
Till next time.
