A/N: Okay so, I know that this takes place in the late 70's and I know that Ed Sheeran's music is from today's time but I just had to put that song in there, so please ignore the time inconsistency. The song that they dance to is called "Kiss Me" by Ed Sheeran.

"My second wish is..." Sirius began.

"Is?..." Katherine prompted. She rolled her body around in his arms as she had had her back against his chest as they lay on the couch. Sirius had taken his time 'cleaning' the chocolate off of her and now they lay on the couch listening to music that Sirius had put on the stereo.

Katherine nuzzled her face in his chest and then looked up at him with her bright purple eyes.

"Dance with me." Sirius stated simply, a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.

"Dance with you? I will say this again, you can have anything at all and you want to dance with me? You didn't even have to waste a wish on that, I would've done it anyway!" Katherine exclaimed.

"I don't think I'm wasting my wish, but I can always think of something else. Either way, will you get up and dance with me or not?"Sirius gave her one of his intense looks from his stormy grey eyes. Absolutely irresistible.

Katherine carefully picked herself off of Sirius' body, blushing now realizing that practically every part of her had been touching a part of him. Sirius got up as well with a gracefulness she never understood, his tall, lean body moving in fluid motions. He walked over to the stereo and turned the music up higher until it filled the room with the sound.

Katherine felt the beat and the sound of the acoustic guitar. The breathy voice counting 1,2,3,4.

Sirius did not grin but she could see the edges of a small smile on his face as he gazed at her with something like love. He held out a hand like a gentleman, bowing his head to her and placed a kiss on the back of her hand when she gave it to him. It gave her shivers down her spine. Even as he placed his left hand on her waist and held her so close to him that she could see the individual eyelashes on his eyes, she could not help the tingling sensation on her waist, the fast beating of her heart or her heavy breathing. She had been this close to him many times before but something about the moment, with the slow music and the look in his eyes, made it that much more intimate, that much more special.

Unlike the time they had danced at the Halloween ball, this time they knew each other's curves and rhythms, the feel of each other against them and the sound of their breathing like it was their own.

Sirius swayed her side to side and spun her in every direction, pulling her so close to him that there couldn't have been a single breadth of space between them. He whispered soft promises in her ear and loving words he always wanted to say. He nestled his lips against her neck and breathed in the scent of forget-me-nots, the scent of his one and only Katherine.

"And your heart's against my chest, your lips pressed to my neck, I'm falling for your eyes, but they don't know me yet. And with a feeling I'll forget, I'm in love now." Sirius sang softly in her ear, more whispering than singing, like the murmurs of his heart he was only telling her. "Kissme, like you wanna be loved. You wanna be loved. You wanna be loved. This feels like falling in love. Falling in love. We're falling in love."

Katherine smiled, pulling him closer this time. Unable to contain the feeling in her heart in that moment. She put both arms around his neck now; he had at least 5 inches on her, so she pulled herself up to meet her lips on the same level as his. Granting the other part of his second wish.

They continued on like this, even after the music stopped and all that could be heard was the soft sound of a cricket outside and the cackling of the fire in the hearth. The only light in the room was the red glow of the fire and the moonlight coming through the window lighting up their faces in a faint silver glow. Katherine's violet eyes seemed brighter and Sirius' grey ones clearer.

"I'm sleeping here next to you tonight." Katherine announced when it had become late in the night and Sirius decided that they both go to sleep.

He had been in his room, getting ready for bed, stripping off his shirt as he always did when he slept, left with only pajama bottoms on. She had stormed into the room in her cute little white nightdress, with puffed sleeves and frills at the bottom, announcing her decision to sleep in his bed that night.

When he had asked why she wanted to sleep in his bed, she replied, "I want to spend every moment of this weekend with you, even when we're sleeping. And... I want you to be able to wake up on your birthday tomorrow morning and know that there is someone next to you, always there for you." She looked down embarrassed.

He smiled at her adorable embarrassment. He put an arm out and pulled her into him. "That's a wonderful thought. Thank you." He pushed her away a bit to look at her face. "But... don't you think that sleeping next to me will be..uh.. pushing my control a bit?" He asked truthfully.

"That's why I prepared this outfit!" Katherine exclaimed, giving him a twirl in her dress.

"What?" Sirius asked confused.

"This outfit, I especially bought it for this reason. It's white and innocent looking. It's like I'm a pure, innocent girl, and you would never be able to try something on me now. Isn't it brilliant?" Katherine said pleased with her plan.

Sirius burst out laughing and he kept laughing until Katherine became annoyed and crossed her arms and glared at him. He finally was able to take a deep breath and pull her toward him again, placing his palm against her cheek. "Do you think that some white fabric, puffed sleeves and frills are going to stop me?"

"Well.. I.." Katherine stuttered, unable to focus as Sirius descended upon her with a slow and soft kiss, turning all her thoughts and arguments to mush. She felt like if someone tried to listen in on her brain, all they would hear would be elevator music.

Every one of his touches, his tugs at her waist, his caresses, sent shivers down her spine. It was as if he could override her whole nervous system with just a stroke of his callused fingers against her arms or with a small kiss against her collarbone, next to the necklace he gave her.

After more kissing than Katherine had planned on allowing him, they finally went to sleep on Sirius' huge bed with black covers. They were wrapped around each other like lifelines, unable to separate. Katherine felt like puzzle pieces, filling in all the gaps in him and Sirius doing the same for her, every nook and cranny, every bend of her limbs fit perfectly with his. She felt the itch of the light stubble on his face that rubbed against her neck. She shivered as he drew pictures and traced words with his fingers on the back of her shoulder. And when he wrapped himself so tight around that she thought he might crush her, she felt like she couldn't breathe when he stopped.

"Let's go for a walk. Out in the moonlight and the warm summer breeze." Katherine begged Sirius, poking at his stomach to wake him up. It was almost midnight and Katherine and Sirius could not sleep at all.

"Mmh. No. I enjoy being wrapped around you much more." He mumbled into her hair, still not opening his eyes even though she knew he was as awake as she was.

"Sirius..." She begged.

"Ah, stop saying my name that way." he exasperated.

"What way?" she asked innocently.

"All cute and loving. I'm dying from the cheesiness." He mock-gagged.

"You love the cheesiness. Admit it."

"Fine. I'll confess. I love the cheesiness. It gets me every time, but only when it comes from you." He placed kiss on her nose and finally got up.

"I actually have a surprise for you."

"What kind of surprise?" Katherine asked curiously.

"You'll see." Sirius gave no further explanation as he lead her closer to the forest next to the lake. It was full of tall skinny trees; all quite young compared to those on the Hogwarts grounds.

Katherine looked up at the multitude of bright green leaves that appeared much darker in the night time, when she noticed a moving speck of blue among the sea of green. She squinted at the blue spot realizing that it was a small speckled blue bird that made no sound at all, one that she had seen by the blossom tree in Hogwarts about a million times.

"Wait a second... is that?" Katherine turned to Sirius wide-eyed.

"Our Jobberknoll from the blossom tree? Yes, it is." Sirius grinned at her surprise.

"What? How? How did it get here?"

"I have no idea! It might have travelled here, but that is a long trip for such a small bird. I don't know. I think maybe it might have tagged along when we apparated to the house. I noticed it before but I wanted to surprise you." Sirius grinned wider and Katherine smiled following the blue speckled bird with her violet eyes.

"Do you know what's so enchanting about it though, the Jobberknoll?" she smiled looking up at him, while Sirius' arms enclosed her body against him, until he could feel the beat of her heart through her back against his chest.

"Yes. But I love it when you tell me." Sirius hugged her tighter despite the warm summer evening breeze.

She turned her head away to watch the Jobberknoll fly with a smile on her face. "There something magical, so mortal about them. That these small blue birds have to work so hard to live another day. They flit about everyday but they make no sound to show for their existence. People usually just pass on by, not seeing what's before them and not hearing the silence of this beautiful bird."

"But.." Sirius said and Katherine smiled wider.

"But, the most enchanting thing about them is that in the moment before they die, before the small bit of life in them leaves this world, the Jobberknoll lets out a long scream, which consists of every sound it has ever heard backwards."

"Can you imagine?..." Sirius prompted her to continue to his favourite part of every time she told him of the Jobberknoll.

"Can you imagine? All the memory of sound it holds within it? Can you imagine not being able to make a single sound until the moment you die? To let it all out, everything, but only in your last moment? It would be torture, would it not? But then I think...can you imagine? All the sounds our Jobberknoll has heard of us? All the laughs and talks, the whispers and promises by the blossom tree? I wonder at it all, I would want to hear it all again, every moment, the good ones and the bad ones. I want to hear every moment of us over and over again, because I will never get sick of it."

Sirius turned her around in his arms and kissed her then, he finished their speech of Jobberknolls as he always did, "And I will never get sick of you, because I love every moment of us too."

"Well, isn't this a lovely scene."

Katherine's blood ran cold. Because she was hearing the voice of someone she had hoped she would never have to face again.
