I like Link's bow a lot... It certainly suits the real hero of the world. It's well designed and is powerful! I kind of really wish it was my bow...
"Awesome bow, Link!" I comment.
He chuckles and holds it up to the light for a better view.
"What do you think you'll do with it if you happen to become a wolf again?" I ask, hoping he'll promise me a turn.
He just stares at the bow, all emotion leaving him.
"...Oh... You're probably still planning on returning me to my home after this, aren't you?" I ask.
He looks at me and smiles a little before patting my head. I wag my tail. He then straightens up, loads an arrow into his bow, and strikes down a door that was being held shut by a rope.
"Wow!" I exclaim.
From that point on, I get to witness the awesome power of the bow. I don't know if you know me too well yet, but... I'm just going to briefly cover what has happened up to the point of reaching the boss door. We met a Goron elder named Gor Liggs, the third and final elder in the temple. He gave us the final key shard. We also got a compass and so we were able to locate Darbus' room. It took a long time to get here and we crossed paths with many Torch Slugs, a few more Dodongos, and another set of Archer Bokoblins! That time, though, Link took them each down from far away with his own bow. Now we just need to unlock the door with our newly fixed key.
"Unlock the door already! Come on!" Midna snaps, getting bored.
She wasn't bothering us much earlier, but during the whole trip from Gor Liggs to Darbus' room, she's been pestering us with requests and solutions we could have found on our own. The door opens and we step inside. Chained to the far wall is a huge black creature that looks vaguely like a Goron.
"Oh, this must be Darbus... He looks like an alright fellow," I comment.
Right after I say this, Link gets into attack position as an orange light starts glowing from the dark creature. In a moment, he ignites and melts his shackles enough to get free from the wall.
"Or not!" I yelp.
He charges slowly towards us, dragging his shackles behind himself. Link appears to have an idea, but he cannot speak to share it with me. He waves me on so I run at the flaming monster.
"Oh hey, this is called Fyrus the Twilit Igniter!" Midna says, "His weak spot is on his head so get his head to the ground in order to attack!"
Link puts on his iron boots behind Fyrus while he's trying to catch me. I soon realize this is a bad idea because Link yanks the chains backwards and Fyrus begins to fall forwards right where I am standing. I move out of the way just and time and start attacking Fyrus' face now that he isn't on fire. He gets back up and reignites, roaring. We do this three times before finally, something dark pops out of his head and he shrinks down slightly. We have defeated Fyrus!
