XXI-The Star Light festival legend!
Ash and Co had decided to head to Coral city to check on the Coral Reef Station. Michael especially he was looking for leads on Cipher. "We haven't heard anything from Cipher for two days now." Michael stated.
"Ya know we usually find Cipher when we least expect it. As of now we're just waiting for that Sandstorm to clear up." Tai pointed out.
"GAHHH Stupid sandstorm It's been two days how it could last that long!" Michael yelled tugging on his hair a little.
"The longest Record for a sandstorm lasting is one entire year." Max stated.
"A WHOLE YEAR?!" the others shouted spastically. They couldn't wait a whole year for a sandstorm to end. But Max threw up his hands in slight defense.
"Relax that was in Hoenn on route on 111. I think Ash just arrived in Hoenn when it finally calmed down." Max mused at the end.
"That still doesn't help our cause." Michael sighed hanging his head.
"Well most of the Orre Region is desert. Besides I'm sure it'll clear up." Ash assured.
"Yeah" Michael sighed. "In the mean time we'll have to look for clues to see what else they're up too." It was then a bunch of younger kids laughing rushed past them one of the boys had a painted face.
"I wonder what the commotion is." Ash asked.
"Pikachu Pi." Pikachu agreed.
"Well….today's the twentieth of October right?" Tai asked.
"It's close but not that close to Halloween." Rosa agreed.
"It's the Star Light Festival today." Michael told them.
"Star Light Festival?" the others asked.
"They say that on this day one thousand years ago. The people of Orre were in a terrible Civil war. Which finally ended but at a terrible cost. The people sent out little boats to honor the soldiers who died in the war. When the boats were out of sight however the stars shined more brightly that night then they ever did before. And then stars filled the ocean the sea was so dark and black that it made it look like the Sky and Sea joined together to give the people hope." Michael explained.
"Woooowwww!"The group muttered in awe.
"Pikkaaaa/Raaaaaaa." Everyone especially Tai and Rio were completely lit up by the story.
"Today we know that the phenomenon is caused by Starmie and Staryu who live in the ocean off the coast of Coral City. And yes this is where the Festival is held." Michael added.
"Wow that's so cool!" Ash stated, Tai opened his Pokedex look up Staryu.
"Staryu the star shape Pokémon and the pre-evolved form of Starmie: If Staryu's body is torn it can regrow as long as its red core is intact. The core is also said to glow at midnight flickering at the rhythm of a human heart beat."
"Whoa Staryu." Tai stated. "Misty has both!"
"Yeah that's right." Ash replied.
"Duking may even thing there's an Ocean Pokespot around here." said a familiar voice who they turned to see.
"Silva!" the group stated to see him behind then.
"Hey guys long time no see. I saw what you did on TV for Phenac." He said happily.
"You did?" they asked he pulled up the internet on his PDA and showed the video. "Hello viewers this is Cameron Senteoa we bring you a special scoop!" The image showed Snattle battling with the group."The Courageous actions of this group of Children lead by Michael Marshall of the HQ lab and Ash Ketchum of Pallet town. Thwarted a group of Cipher operatives who had infiltrated Phenac City." It then showed Pikachu zapping Snattle and his Underlings. "This Footage shows the group of seven Rosa White, Max Maple, Barry Pearl, Trip McGonagall, Michael Marshal, Ash Ketchum, his younger brother Tai Ketchum. And their Pokémon driving a top Cipher Admin also a well-known Politician Snattle Elazes from the city's Stadium."
"Wow we're on TV!" Rosa stated, excitedly bouncing up and down.
"Yeah and imagine how that Pompous Snattle is taking this." Tai added with a smirk.
"Cipher had been trying to take over the entire city replacing its citizens with the Syndicate's members. The Coral Reef Station, Realgam Tower and Pyrite Town were also targeted for take over from Cipher. Despite these setbacks Cipher is still active however there are rumors that all the members have gathered at the main base. Authorities have issued a caution to all citizens and Organizations to be alert to the possibility of further attacks."
"A Base if we could find it maybe we could finally take down Cipher." Michael stated.
"Yeah or get steam rolled." Tai countered.
"Tai is right if you do find the base you shouldn't go in without a plan. At least not have a plan that's waltz in and cut down anyone in your way." Silva agreed.
Michael nodded in understanding he was getting a bit too obsessive so he had to back off. "By the way where is Duking?"
"Enjoying a few of the attractions" Silva replied. "Come on I'll show you." eventually Silva showed them to a large theme park with all kinds of star themed attractions. They were all blues, golds, black and silvers with plenty of multicolored lights and stands to bright against the night colored decorations.
"Wow look at this place!" Tai stated rushing forward.
"Hey Tai wait up!" Ash called despite Michael's protests the two were gone in the crowd. And the second he turned Rosa and Max were gone too.
"Am I the only one who wants to find Cipher's base?" he huffed.
"Don't worry it'll work out. And sorry to ditch you too but I've gotta get back to Duking see ya." Silva replied zipping off.
"Sure leave Michael the stick in mud with a point alone." He huffed.
"Vee, vee." Eevee replied patting his shoulder.
"Working hard I see." Michael instantly turned to the voice and was surprised to see a bunch of familiar faces.
"Mom, Jovi, Krane, Aidan?" he asked, surprised. "What are you all doing here?" he asked.
"We're here for the Starlight Festival!" Jovi happily responded Michael however hung his head.
"You seem down Mike." Krane stated.
"We've heard nothing from Cipher. But I know they're not backing off cause their scared of us. They're up to something but the others are off stuffing themselves with deep-fried Chocolate bars." he groaned.
With Ash and Tai….
"Deep Fried Candy bars? I'll try that!" Ash stated with Pikachu staring at the sign curiously. "Want one?" he asked Tai.
"No sounds gross but Funnel Cake sounds yummy." Tai replied.
Back with Michael….
Lily smiled, "honey don't worry. We definitely know that Cipher is planning something. But knowing how lucky you've been lately you'll stop it no matter what. Just have faith. And not only that your friends probably need to unwind from battling Cipher. You should too."
Michael looked around. He couldn't remember the last time he came to this festival very well so he conceded. "Sure I guess." He replied looking for something to do with his family. Meanwhile Team Rocket peeked their heads out of a nearby booth.
"Well, well a party celebrating Staryu and Starmie." Jessie smirked.
"I'm sure the boss could think of a million things to do with an army of them." James agreed.
"Then let's go starfishing!" Meowth stated.
"Catch our wish and lots of Pokémon yeah!" They sang.
POP "Wobba!" Wobbuffet agreed.

Rosa had looked around seeing all kinds of stands with jewelry that she was adoring. It wasn't long however before she saw something she wanted a jeweled Starmie with opals in different colors for it's arms she bought the necklace and tried it on. "So pretty!"
Michael walked down looking at all the different stands with his family. He was passing a game stand when Jovi squeed. "Look, look! A stuffed Teddiursa Jovi want's it!"
"Pala, Pala!" stated Paula.
"Mimiu!" Mimi agreed Michael sighed.
"Alright let me see what I can do." He replied paying to play the game with some steady aim he knocked over all the bottles and won the prize.
"YEAH!" Jovi cheered.
Max meanwhile with his Pokémon were eating some festival food. It wasn't long before Ash and Tai joined them releasing their own Pokémon for lunch. Rio started happily eating his own food while Tai threw away a blue cheese dip from his wings making a gag sound as he did.
"Hey guys, anything interesting?" Max asked.
"Other than watching Ash scarf down ten Deep Fried Candy bars. And still want lunch not much." Tai replied.
Tai helped himself to some Pizza as Michael came up and set his Pokemon up for Lunch. Noctowl and Vulpix had gotten much friendlier over the past few days. Michael taking this into account checked their heart gauges.
"Yup you two are ready to get your Hearts open. Right after Lunch I'll take you to Agate." Michael Promised as the group. The Pokemon cheered happily to hear this.
"You should stop at the HQ Lab on your way back. There are a few more Pokémon ready to be purified there as well." Krane told him.
"Entei too?" Ash asked.
Lily shook her head sadly. "Entei isn't making much progress."
"What about the time flute?" Tai asked. "We can use it instantly heal him."
"That's a good idea. But I think we should wait till we have all the Shadow Pokemon." Michael replied staring into his drink.
"How come?" Max asked.
"If Cipher was able to capture and corrupt Entei then who's to say they didn't stop with it? The chances are very high that they've captured other Legendary Pokemon." Michael stated darkly.
"Where is your friend Rosa she should be hearing this too." Aidan suddenly stated.
"Probably stocking up on new clothes and jewelry." Tai suggested jokingly however they suddenly heard Pokeballs open and saw all of Rosa's Pokémon chow down on their meals. Then they all saw her with several large bags.
"What?" she asked innocently.
"Nothing just that Tai was right." Ash replied with a slight sweatdrop. Once Lunch was done Michael headed off to the Agate village to heal Noctowl and Vulpix. Then to the HQ lab while Lily and co returned to the HQ lab to prepare the Purification Chamber. Leaving Ash and co alone. They split up once more to enjoy the festival. Ash and Tai had come across a Mural of sorts.
"What's this?" Tai asked,
"It kind of looks like a comic book." Ash mused.
"That's a good analogy for it." they turned to see a certain someone.
"Cyle." They stated.
"You know about stuff like this?" Tai asked.
"Oh yes, you could say I was around when they were still a main source of story telling." He joked.
"Umm about your Pokemon-" Ash muttered nervously.
"Still thinking." Cyle replied.
"Well don't leave me hanging..." Ash sighed.
"So Cyle what's the mural for?" Tai asked.
"Well it's an interesting one. Orre is only region in the world not to have its own unique set of Pokémon. But it definitely has an interesting tale." Cyle replied, thoughtfully glancing up at it.
"This mural is telling the story of the great war that took place in Orre. It is sadly the reason that Orre is so bare. Where ever the two armies went fire, destruction and darkness followed quickly. I can only imagine the scars it's opponent barred." Cyle replied.
"That's so sad. But that would also mean that Orre had a lot less desert years and years ago." Ash muttered.
"Pika." Pikachu agreed, his ears drooping."
"For so long Orre was unable to sustain life. People began to give up. But then came that beautiful and faithful night when the sky and the sea intertwined and created these beautiful heavens." Cyle stated the boys stared at the last picture of the Mural starry eyed as did Rio and Pikachu. There was no doubt in their minds that it was an amazing story.
Later that day the sun was beginning to set and people were setting up chairs to watch the water.
"This is gonna be so cool." Ash stated, Pikachu chirped in agreement as Tai stretched out.
"Yeah, I wish the sun would hurry up and set." Tai stated.
It was then that something began to be seen in the water. Tai and Ash quickly rushed over to look at it, Muddy and Buizel diving in. When they got to the bottom they saw Duking messing around he did a fist pump in the water and rose up. The two boys were a little shocked to suddenly see a scuba-diver appear in the water. But relaxed when Duking pulled off the Helmet. "Good news boys there is a Pokespot in the water!" he stated.
"Wow really?!" Tai asked, happily.
"That means you have an Ocean Pokespot to tell people about!" Ash stated excitedly as he got out of the water.
"Yup it feels like more and more are found every day. At this rate we may even find a Pokemon that's exclusive to the Orre Region." Duking replied, his eyes starring up at the thought.
"Theres also some underground caves you could check out," Tai replied thinking back to the caves they fell in. "Just be careful." He stated remembering how unhappy the Trevevant were about visitors waking them up.
"Thanks for the heads up. Now if you'll excuse me I've got to get ready for the Show tonight." Duking replied.
Ash and Tai smiled but then remembered their pokemon. "Buizel and Muddy haven't come back out yet." Ash stated Tai worried rushed over to the water.
"Hey Muddy you okay?!" Tai called, into the water.
"Buizel!" Ash called down in the water Muddy and Buizel were preoccupied watching all the Starmie and Staryu floating in the water ever so slightly lighting up. Muddy had gone in for a closer look but that was a mistake. As soon as he did a large net scooped up all of the Starmie and Staryu and Muddy with them! Buizel had been knocked back by the force caused from the net passing by so fast. However he quickly righted himself and surged up.
"Buizel!" Ash called as soon as his Pokemon broke the surface.
"Where's Muddy?!" Tai called.
"Bui, Buizel!" Buizel cried pointing up there was Muddy pressed against the net with a bunch of Starmie and Staryu.
"Muddy!" Tai called when suddenly a mechanical hand grabbed Rio. "NOOO!" Tai called when he was suddenly grabbed himself alongside Pikachu.
"Tai, Pikachu!" Ash called as the two were pulled up to a very familiar looking balloon.
"Call all you want but we've stolen the show!" Jessie stated.
"So now our motto as we go." James stated.
"A force that strikes fear in the Hearts of the Vailant!" Jessie recited as Red colored fire exploded behind her forming a red rose.
"Snuffing out the light to bring forth the shadows!" James stated as Blue lightning struck creating a blue rose.
"You'll fear us for eternity!" Meowth stated as Ice shattered into the form of a yellow rose behind him.
"Blazing destruction across the sky Jessie!" she stated jumping down.
"Thunderous strength that quakes the earth I am James!" he stated as he too jumped down.
"Wisdom deeper than the sea Meowth!" he stated back-flipping into the middle.
"Remember this name TEAM ROCKET!" they declared the R appearing behind them.
POP! "Wobba! Wobbuffet!"
"Team Rocket!" Ash shouted Tai glared up from them from his prison.
"Has anyone told you that you suck at poems Blaze help me out!" Tai shouted managing to get his hands on the Charmander's pokeball tossing it up. Blaze who suddenly appeared managed to land behind him on the arm of the ring trapping him. He was pretty shocked to see what was happening. "Blaze quick use-" but Blaze too was snatched up and locked in a glass case with the others.
"No Blaze!" Tai called as Team Rocket smiled.
"The Green Trapinch if you please." James replied cheerfully.
Tai growled. "If I send out Geon or Spike they'll just get captured too."
"Buizel use Water gun!" Ash shouted,
"Bui Bui BUIIII!" the powerful stream of water rushed forward at the heart of the Balloon where they were standing however Wobbuffet appeared suddenly.
"Wobbuffet use Mirror Coat!" Jessie stated.
"Wobbuffet!" he called getting a silvery sheen to him knocking the attack back at them.
"Alright Seviper Venoshock and Yanmega Ancient power!" Jessie called.
"Carnivine Bullet seed!" James called, the three pokemon appeared and launched their attacks at Ash and Buizel blasting them back. They hit the ground hard and pulled themselves up.
"No!" Tai screamed as Team Rocket began to fly away however, before they could get to far a voice called out.
"Vulpix use Extrasensory!" Michael shouted. The balloon was frozen in midair. And Team Rocket watched in horror as the all the glass containers and the metal arm around Tai cracked and shattered.
Tai and the others fell. However he managed to catch Blaze, Pikachu, Rio and land on a nearby rock. "Okay now for Muddy! Rio use Shadow Claw!"
"Pikachu use Iron Tail!" Ash commanded. Rio and Pikachu jumped up Pikachu's tail stiffened turning a bright silver while Rio summoned shadowy claws from the bumps on his paws. With a cry the two sliced through the net. Freeing all of the Starmie and Staryu who glared angrily back up at Team Rocket. While Muddy quickly reunited with his trainer.
"You okay?" Tai asked,
"Mudkip, Mud!" he confirmed happily. Team Rocket held each other nervously as they felt the withering eyeless gaze of the Starmie and Staryu.
"Uhhhh I wonder what's got them so miffed. "Jessie muttered nervously.
"Like you don't know! They're not happy about you yanking them out of the ocean!" Michael stated angrily. And true to his words all of the Starmie and Staryu unleashed Power Gems, Psy-shocks, Signal beams and Hyper beams at Team Rocket who screamed in horror.
"TEAM ROCKET'S BLASTING OFF AGAIN!" Team Rocket shouted as they dinged out of sight.
"WOBBBA!"
All of the Staryu and Starmie started to calm down as Tai made his way back to shore."You okay Tai?" Michael asked.
"Yeah thanks to you." Tai replied with Blaze giving a small chirp of thanks from his shoulder. Rio barked his own thanks as well as Ash rushed up.
"I'm glad you guys are okay." He said relieved.
"So Vulpix gained Extrasensory when being purified huh?" Tai asked.
"Yup and Energy ball" Michael replied.
"Hey you guys!" Max called as he and Rosa rushed up the latter carrying a bunch of bags. "We saw Team Rockets balloon."
"Don't worry about it we already took care of them." Tai replied, nonchalantantly.
"We?" Michael asked.
"Okay fine, I was a hostage." Tai sighed.
"Anyway everything's just fine now and the suns starting to go down." Ash replied.
"Yeah let's get set up." Michael replied as he and Eevee raced forward to get a seat the others following in confusion.
"Seriously?" Tai asked. "You want to have fun instead of saving the world?" Tai asked.
"Hardy har, har, I'm quite capable of relaxing you know." Michael replied.
"So who are you and what have you done with the real Michael?" Ash asked with an arched eyebrow.
Michael gave them a deadpan look, before turning away from them. Lily, and her group were only a few feet away as they got comfortable. As much as she knew that a lot was on their shoulders it was important for them to relax too whenever they could.
"Mommy look the lights!" Jovi stated she looked out and smiled in awe at the stars which were starting to blink out as they did the Starmie and Staryu began to light up.

Ash and the others stared in awe as the lights slowly blinked into place. The sky seemed to respond to the lights below it as the stars lit up brightly in different colors. And soon after about an hour or so, the sea and the sky intertwined.
"Wow it really is like they mixed together!" Ash stated.
"PIKA!" Pikachu agreed, staring in sheer awe.
"Wow, amazing all that darkness but the lights are shining brightly." Tai stated.
"Raaiii!" Rio agreed absorbed by the beauty.
"Yeah even though the darkness was deep light is still cutting through it one at a time. All it takes is just one to light up." Michael replied.
"Vui Vee!" Eevee agreed.
"And then more follow." Ash agreed.
"That's poetic but I definitely get what your both saying." Max replied, "no matter how bad things get today tomorrow will be better."
"Yeah you can't have good without bad and viseversa they'll always be balanced." Rosa replied.
"Back in in the time of the war people thought life in Orre was going to end." Krane stated. "But the actions of these Pokemon's ancestors gave them hope made them keep trying. And eventually life came back even wild Pokemon are starting to return. And the land north of the desert that makes up most of the region has become green again maybe someday the rest of it will too."
"Yeah but I doubt we'll be alive to see it. But our legacy will be here. I hope somehow we'll play a part to shape a new better future." Lily replied, sentimentally. "Marcus I wish you could see this." she then glanced over at Michael with Eevee on his shoulder. "All of it."
Even Team Rocket who had been blasted off were enjoying the view. "And to think we wanted to mess this up." Jessie sighed shamefully.
"Yeah but we need to catch Pikachu!" Meowth stated.
"Oh shut up and enjoy." Jessie snapped.
"Yeah We'll get them next time hopefully." James agreed.
"Wobbuffet!" Wobbuffet agreed drinking some soda as they watched.
The group continued to watch in awe as the lights twinkled brightly. "I'm gonna remember this forever." Tai stated Ash looked over and nodded.
"Us too," he agreed.

In a mysterious place however Loverina and another man with black hair. With a long string of bang wearing a white scientist jacket. With blue lines in a pattern around the right side sleeves and the jacket's large collar. And purple pants worked on typing in many commands on a keyboard as electricity was being surged into something.
From behind Snattle, Dakim and Gorigan were watching the process the former bubbling with rage.
"Those brats…how dare they humiliate me!" Snattle stated. "My prestige record ruined!" He wailed.
Gorgian sweat dropped. "It was kind of ruined when you joined us." He pointed out.
From beside Dakim was a lady with gold hair. A large pink and white dress with diamonds on it and a large crescent moon on the back. With a pink veil she also watched the proceedings. "Hopefully this gets wrapped up soon I need to get back to my adoring public!" she stated with a slight hum.
"And this isn't as important why?" Snattle asked.
"Because unlike you two buffoons. I still have control over my city! You both lost it to those brats. I could've handled them with both hands tied behind my back." She scoffed.
"You shouldn't underestimate them. Those children are very skilled for their ages." Dakim warned.
"Or maybe you just aren't skilled enough for yours." Said a voice coming from the Shadows was Nascour who walked in.
"Where have you been?! All members of Cipher were supposed to be here in case something goes wrong!" Snattle stated.
"I am aware of this." Nascour replied, simply. "But if you must know. I was doing a little recon something that might benefit us in the future." He replied holding a file which he refused to let the others look at.
"Would all of you pipe down?!" Lovrina shouted. "This isn't as easy as it looks." She called abandoning her Valley girl persona entirely to focus more.
"So Ein how are things looking if you don't mind me asking." Nascour stated.
"Well if all goes well operations themselves will resume in two weeks. And what's more the Machine the boss asked to have developed is complete." Ein replied, "the Final phase will come to fruition soon count on it." he stated smirking evilly.
Vulpix can learn Extrasensory at level 51, it has energy ball as an egg move Staryu can learn Power Gem at level 51 and learns signal beam via BW2 tutor, Starmie can learn Hyper Beam Via TM 15, get Signal Beam via BW2 move tutor and power gem is a prevolution only move
Yeah Pokemon Origins came out today and MEGA CHARIZARD X that is all! I can't tell you how torn I am fortunately the items can be traded over I just have to figure out how….and yeah this chapter really fillerish to the point I almost go bored writing it hopefully it turned out okay
